Thorns Road Surgery

I haven't gave it 1 star as I haven't seen all the doctors so I can't comment on all of them.
I have used this surgery ever since I was a child, the doctors then (dr.patel and dr. Shah) were brilliant and always were there if you need them, however that has been a long time ago and the female doctor I saw last time was awful and just rolled her eyes as if I was some kind of time waster (it was the first time I had had to go to the doctors in 7 years)
Now I had been texted for my free nhs check up so rang to book an appointment, the receptionist was polite but told me that the person in question didnt work weekends or Tuesday or thursday so the only time I could attend that didn't interfere with my own job would be in 7 months time!
It's a shame that such a once great surgery has now become this, and regrettably it's time to find a new doctors surgery where the doctors care more about the patients than their range rover.

worse GP I have ever encountered, from practise manager to staff and doctor as well. Staff are impatient and not trying to help while the practise manager do not try to understand the situation and put the blame back to the patient. One of the doctor is good but there is one that is very impatient and did not try to communicate well which cause a very bad experience with my son and my wife and they cried in the surgery. Avoid at all cost!

I just recently joined this surgery and I found this is best GP SURGERY ever.Never had a problem with appointments.All staff are really helpful.

Absolutely shocking experience of Thorns Road Surgery. I've seen two different GPs and neither of them listened to me or seemed to have any interest in helping me with my health issue. I feel completely fobbed off and patronised. The nursing staff and receptionists are lovely but the GPs are clearly overworked and totally disinterested.

1 Star is being very generous as this practice is a absolute disgrace. Starting with the incompetent reception staff who in the short time I've been with them have managed to get something wrong every time either me or my partner have been unfortunate enough to interact with them. My only interactions with a doctor was for my first prescription of my repeat medicines which I was told over the phone that I had gotten completely wrong (even though I have been on them for many years) then spoken down to and made to feel like I was inconveniencing her. The second time was for an adoption medical where she complained for nearly 20 minutes that she was overworked and under pressure and it was these non important things that were the cause. Now changed surgery and I recommend anyone else to do the same.

Would absolutely NOT recommend - string of issues with both admin staff and doctor led to changing surgery. Very poor communication, attitude and response times. (Only saving grace is the nurse)

In these trying times it's nice to get telephone appointments quickly. Receptionists are always friendly and help you feel at ease. Not a bad surgery at all.
