Auvergne Cafe Bar Restaurant

We called in a couple of times during our visit. A nice little garden / courtyard to sit in and enjoy a drink or simple lunch. We'd happily go back.

Had a lovely breakfast here of crepes with bacon, cream cheese and peppers, while my partner had pancakes with walnuts. The smoothies are also a wonderful way to cool off on a hot morning. Definitely recommended.

Cannot add stars for the food in this place because we literally could not have it - we sat down for a quick refreshments stop and a little snack to continue with our museum journey. In a day with 30+ degrees we were actually thankful to find this place and see it had a nice terrace covered with trees. We ordered the cold small meze to share quickly (thinking if it was a cold started it would take less time), and 2 half a litter beers.
We were finishing the beers and the food was not coming yet, so we asked the staff and they told us in 5 minutes it would be ready. This was already 25 minutes after ordering.
After another 6 minutes we asked again, and only after 👉35 minutes in total, beers empty, they finished getting the meze ready. We needed to leave already as we were late for the next visit.
Overall a very poor experience. They didn’t even tell us, not once, that a cold starter would take longer than 30 minutes. The dish was not even that big and we saw countless of other warm dishes being served to other customers that arrived even later than us, not even after asking them twice for it.
The staff brought the dish when we were already paying for the beers and leaving.
Obviously not coming back.

Fantastic café serving delicious food and high class drinks. Staff are brilliant to the extent you feel they could become your friends. Not expensive either. Very knowledgeable on the wines. Recommended the 5 Greek wines tasting menu

I had such a wonderful dinner which I enjoyed so much 2 nights ago. This place in the Old town Is amazing! The ambiance , the settings the lights and that stairs right at the entrance gave an extra uniqueness to this place! And the wall the Trees, the lights and the cobbled ground! Everything is just so cozy and picturesque. Those are just bonus! The food is excellent! That fillet of smoke mackerel on bed of potato salad and fava, the combination is excellent and yes the thin crispy pita! The Rucola salad with Parmesan ,balsamic vinegar and cherry tomatoes is perfect and so fresh!

Hidden Gem in the heart of Rhodes!
Excellent customer service from the start to the end.
I was recommended to visit this place by another Greek local in the town for their coffee in particular. I ended up ordering a lovely sweet white wine and 2 Greek Mezze platters which was more than enough food to share and great value for money!

We were lured in by the promise of vegan food by front of house staff. The menus inside had no indications for vegan, vegetarian etc and the waiting staff had to go ask. My starter would have been great with a dipping sauce, but having removed the non-vegan listed dip they didn’t offer an alternative. Plant based burger was tasty but dry, no sauce on there either. Decent wine but overpriced at €40.
