Great place to hang out and a great port to take a cruise from. Love it down there.

Upon arriving I see where the organization is taking place,, but they need to post more signs inside the building as far as pickup access goes , as well as the elevator access was a little tough with so many people getting off and on ,, there needs to be an accessible elevator from both inside and outside the port building on both floors . Otherwise I see alot of improvement.

I went during fleet week 2023. We had a great time. There was a long wait in line to get on the ship, but it was well worth it getting on an active navy ship and meeting our military men and women. They had demos and visual of some of the equipment we were even able to take some pictures. So if you go during fleet week, pack your patience, and if you're taking young kids, have something for them to do while in line because it is a wait. Portable toilets were available.
All of the pictures were taken on board the ship.
Excellent staging area for NYC Fleet Week in Manhattan, regardless of your political ideologies. Portable toilets on Pier 88; none on Pier 90 (in 2023). Pics from 2023; sad to say I'd only started attending in '22.

Visited for Fleet Week. Was able to see USS Wasp and HMS Scott. Was able to walk through parts of both ships and talk to sailors. Was fun and informative.

I was at Pier 88 today for Fleet Week. Several large ships come in once a year and allow people to board them.
For some reason, and I think its Navy's personnel's fault and not pier employees, there were long lines waiting to board the ship with no explanation as to how long the wait is likely to be and what your options are . It seems that in one direction, to see several ships there was a wait while the other direction, to see only one, there was no wait.
After about a half hour wait when we didn't move i walked through the gift shop and went on the one ship, the HMS Scott.
Visiting the ship was lots of fun. The crew was friendly.
Fleet week is worth a visit but give yourself lots of time.

Norwegian JOY cruise to Bermuda was amazing.
So much to do, so much to eat, so much to see and so much to drink.
The CREW was AMAZING !!!! AMAZING!!!! LOVE THE HAPPY AND HARD WORKING CREW. Looking forward to another cruise. The crew are on top of keeping order and keeping the place clean.

Lots of complimentary food , such as flavor from india, taste of asia, bbq, seafood restaurant, and so much more. The drinks were delicious had the muskat mule and mojito and for your info they had heineken 0 (non alc) and the entertainment was awesome.

Excursion we did the cave which was very nice. The Naval dock yard was a full day to see and experience. It was amazing. Tour by bus was awesome.

There is a friend's of Bill on board gathering everyday.

Before going to eat in the garden Cafe there is a crew member Stephen who would play his tamberine while saying " if you are hungry and you know it wash your hands" or "washie, washie" making sure everyone washes thier hand before entering the restaurant for eats.

Amazing time. Try it, you won't regret it.
