Greek National Football Team Museum

Loved it! Run by a real football enthusiast who has so many rarities in his collection! If you love football, its a must visit place@

As a big football fan this was probably the coolest place I have ever been, with official worn and signed shirts from some of the games greats Pele, Maradona, Beckenbauer, Ronaldinho, Messi, CR7, Cruyff, and many many more as well as a great catalog of Greek jerseys and other match memorabilia including the Euros trophy given to Greece following their victory in 2004. The guy working there is super knowledgeable and chill and has good suggestions if you’re visiting Chania, they also sell jerseys here and I got a Chania kit as well as a Greek national kit. If you are even faintly interested in football this is somewhere I’d highly recommend.

Absolute gem of a place. Packed walls to ceiling with 1000’s of pieces of amazing memorabilia.
Nikos the owner is such a wonderful person and gladly will show you all his treasures, explaining everything in depth.
It’s free to visit and he sells souvenir jerseys and other items so you can take a little bit of Greece back home.
Great place to meet with a friendly local and learn some football history.

If you want to know the story of the Greek national team and not only. If you are a foitball fun then you can find more than 3500 items to see, in this tiny musium. TShirts of Pele, Maradona, Mesi , Ronaldo and do mang others csn be found at this musium. Mr Nikis can explain you everything, hell you to learn more about the European football history and not only. No entrance fees, but you may purchase a memorial Tshirt or a hat to remember your visit.

This is truly an outstanding museum, ran by a wholesome + friendly man who has incredible knowledge on football. The minor details he knew blew my mind and we had a good chat about Greek footballers who had played in England over the past 20-30 years, amongst general football based on what was on display at this museum. This is by far one of the best museums I have had the pleasure of visiting, if not THE best. It absolutely does not surprise me that this museum holds only 5* reviews, and was recognised in 2016 for an award with Tripadvisor.

It is difficult to appreciate the volume of memorabilia that this museum holds, all free of charge, so make sure to leave a tip!

There are plenty of shirts to purchase, too. Although you cannot purchase any of the displays, there is a diverse selection of football shirts for sale from the Greek Super League, the Greek National Team, International Countries and also general football teams.

Thank you to the owner of the store who offered me an insight into his outstanding knowledge of football, and for giving up some of his time to talk me through the different displays on show. I had the most amazing time at this museum, and would recommend to anyone to visit this museum, even if you are only hold a minor interest in the sport!

Absolutely amazing museum with an extremely passionate owner. Nikos knows everything and brings up every single detail about whatever you ask, or don’t ask! Asked about my hometown football club and showed a shirt. His collection of football memorabilia is absolutely stunning. He also gave us tips about things to do in the western part of Crete.
