Alakapuri Restaurant

Over crowded , very difficult to find an empty table. All food items are above average at reasonable price but it's not a relaxed spot for enjoying food with friend and family. Service always fast but we feel to complete our meal as early as possible due to crowd .Road side parking for cars.

Everything is good. I am a regular.. good service.. good food.. the only bad thing is the plate on which the food is served.. I think it is the plate that was there when the shop started.. time to change it.. everything else is good

The food was average in my opinion but the biriyani is good here and I would strongly recommend to have it when you visit. Moreover the the whole food service was pretty fast to my surprise even though the place was pretty crowded. Yeah the crowd is an issue If you are coming in large groups or for a quick meal,apart from that everything was nice do check out if you are nearby kakkanad.

I went there for breakfast and it was very crowded, so I guess it'll be like that at any time.
Ordered porotta and veg kurma, porotta was not warm and fluffy and felt like a flatbread, but the veg kurma was so tasty that it made me forget about the porotta's bad sides. It was too good for a basic curry. Enjoyed it all together.

A big hype given by one of my friend but not much great . Chilly chicken given is with loose gravy like fish curry. Fried rice is average in taste . I think most of the visitors ate lunch with fish fry . AC restaurant is too tiny and inside too much noisy. Feeling uncomfortable during lunch .

The very famous Alakapuri of Kakkanad. Didn't justify the hype to be honest. It was just a ok experience. Had Biriyani. it was just a reheated biriyani which was nothing special. Tbh, it was below average. I've had better biryanis in so many other hotels. Too many customers and not neatly maintained and the whole place feels cramped. Will need to try their other items before making another review which I will. For now though, not impressed and frankly baffled by the hype
