High Focus Centers Paramus Outpatient Treatment Center

My daughter was treated at High Focus - she had the opportunity to truly analyze her triggers and break down what was going on inside of her that caused her to react in certain ways. She was able to recognize symptoms within herself that would ultimately lead to a harmful behavior - she was able to stop herself from self-harm using the cooping techniques she learnt at High Focus. she has graduated and seems to be doing well in her school since the last 2 months - she knows how to cope better now and her crisis moments are far fewer-when they happen she knows how to cope. Julia was warm yet methodical in her approach - it really helped my daughter.

High Focus is a staple in the tristate area for outpatient programming with many different clinical pathways to choose from for both adults and adolescents. Working in the field I’ve heard nothing but great feedback from patients I’ve referred.

its a great program and was a huge help for me. I would also like to mention Amanda and Giana the two counsellors I interacted with. They are super amazing and a great help !! its a fantastic program !!

My 16 year daughter received care from High Focus on 2 separate occasions. She loved the staff there and has been doing much better with her issues. She uses the tools that were taught to her on a daily basis. While my daughter was in treatment I thought the updates on her progress along with weekly parental meetings were extremely helpful.

The therapist were nice, but honestly it was a waste of time & I only went there because one person said I had to. I was 17 at the time now 34 going on 35 & was there because I had temper issues at the time. I calmed down, but honestly it was more controlled anger now that I look back.

I did talk about my problems & in general, it was only helpful short term. In the long run I didn't benefit anything from going there.

Overall, I gained a lot of useful coping skills and strategies for reframing my thoughts toward more self-love and acceptance. It definitely helped in my mental health and substance abuse journey. Gianna was a great clinician; she was sympathetic, supportive, and gave good advice. Some of the group sessions were less helpful, but that’s more because many patients did not seem able or interested in sharing and opening up.
I was a little disappointed in the variety of offerings that were advertised but not offered (yoga, pet therapy, etc).
But overall a helpful experience.

High Focus Centers saved my life. They guided me through withdrawals and helped me get clean.

My therapist and case manager, Gianna Tritto, was amazing. She never made me feel foolish for the issues I face every day. She guided me as much as she possibly could.

I would recommend High Focus to anyone who needs help with drugs and alcohol.
