3*Mich. I was disappointed as, to me, it lacked the magic of the Michelin star rating, the marketing and the wonderful glamorous surroundings within Dorchester Hotel.

Only one dish was truly outstanding and memorable which is the scallops. It is a symphony of many different delicious flavours and textures. The remaining dishes were unremarkable.

The Hugel Riesling wine is pleasant; I often have a glass of this exact same bottle in the French House Soho… hmm.

The service set my teeth on edge announcing dishes far too rapidly and without engaging with us…the accent of one is so strong I could not understand what I was being told. Also I was uncomfortable with the manner of the waiting staff.
I dined at Kerridge’s a few days later and both venues have enormously high ceilings; at both I found the feel/setting was unappealing and perhaps cold, compared to other venues.

Exquisite, refined and yet relaxed and utterly inviting. The tasting menu with wine pairing offers the most enjoyable experience and food journey

Absolute culinary experience!! Also be prepared that the dinner will last for the whole evening - from start to finish it was 4.5 hours for us so I would recommend booking an earlier slot so that you can enjoy the whole experience at a good pace! Everything was impeccable but my highlight was the newly added dessert which is the Golden apple! They first dehydrated the apple then rehydrated it again as part of the cooking process to give a unique texture to it and I've never tasted anything like that before !!
They are also very accommodating to any special requests so please don't hesitate to reach out to them when you book if you wish to change some of the dishes from the tasting menu!

We went for the tasting menu with paired wines. Having eaten at a few other Michelin restaurants (Core, Heston, Moor Hall, The Kitchin) we had some benchmarks to compare Alain Ducasse to. The service is impeccable and the staff were very professional and friendly. The entire service took nearly 4.5 hours and there were long waits between courses so make sure to factor this in if you have a late reservation. The surprise was the food. Whilst some dishes (scallops, lobster) were exceptional with rich, incredible sauces we didn't have those wow moments with the other dishes that we experienced at other Michelin restaurants. I would highly recommend the caviar, the way they served it made it one of the stand-outs for us. We went for the Icons wine selection and the sommelier had done an incredible job. We didn't want to drink 7 full glasses of wine so they kindly split this so we had half a glass each per course. We got to meet Alberto (an absolute gent) and his team which was a lovely touch, and his kitchen is incredible. It's a huge restaurant and whilst the fibre optics are striking, when you're sat there you could almost see the room being used for a wedding/conference venue because of the style of wood panelling on the walls.

Such a unique experience. This is so much more than dinner! The restaurant's service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. They provided detailed descriptions of each dish and were readily available whenever we needed assistance. The pacing between each course was just right, allowing us to savor and appreciate each dish. We will be returning.

MICHELIN 3* - LONDON
The service was top notch! The place felt really fancy. The food however, was just decent and was not as good as I had expected from a 3* Michelin. They were very nice, just not as expected. For the price, we could get a better meal in a 2* or 1* Michelin restaurant.

Once a year me and my mum like to splash out on going somewhere fancy. After a bit of research I chose to go to Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester. We had the tasting menu and It did not disappoint the food was incredible, some of the best flavours I have ever had. All the staff were so lovely and accommodating explaining each dish perfectly whilst also making it feel like a very personal experience. If you do choose to visit it’ll be one to remember for life.
