Huge servings, huge flavour, reasonable price! Probably the best value for Japanese. Bonus is the clean venue and BYO.

I dropped by Tokyo Chubo for lunch, after it first caught my eye when I visited the neighbouring Sinjeon restaurant.

I decided to try one of my favourite Japanese dishes, Katsu Chicken. I got the bento so that I could also have a sample of the sashimi they have on offer. Miso soup also came as part of the meal. Their batter was very crispy, and the chicken was tender, definitely one of the better Katsu dishes I have had. I also tried some of the smoked Salmon-don, which was also very tasty.

The restaurant layout is simple, and the atmosphere is pleasant enough. The service staff were polite.

For two dishes, I paid $51.70.

The sashimi at Tokyo Chubo is very fresh and sweet!

And the nigiri sushi🍣 is also made by the chef on site

As for the pork chop, the meat is very fresh, juicy and delicious🤤

This is a restaurant you must visit if you like Japanese food very much!

It is recommended to book a table in advance to avoid waiting for a long time on site.

I am always impressed by the consistent quality I dine here. The pork katsu was super crispy and nice inside. :)

I love how fresh and clean the sashimi's taste here.

Nice atmosphere with bright yet dim yellow lights.

The only negative feedback I have to add is that I wish they had dessert options too.

Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurant around the area on the south side! Been here a few times and the quality and freshness of the ingredients is 👌 and also their Beef Takaki is definitely a must try! For sushi, we usually go for the futomaki, Chirashi roll or salmon aburi roll!

Lovely little restaurant. Wide selection of Japanese dishes. The bentos are my personal favorite, but you'll definitely love the meal even if selecting something else on the menu. It's all lovely, fresh and very tasty. Portions are generous but I recommend a starter, especially if mains for the adults and sharing with a young child. We've visited a few times now and definitely will again. We love it and can't wait till next time.
