Deakin Park

Fantastic park. equipped with an agility course, benches to sit on, well maintained grass and a drinking station. One of the bigger dog parks I've been to.

However only 4 stars because the fencing is old and insecure in some places. Also there's no airlock when entering and leaving the park. Also the drinking station could do with a clean.

Decent place for pet dog to socialise. Take care to have mosquito repellents or long sleeve clothing during peak mosquito periods.

Good amount of space convenient to get to. Funniest shade and some benches. I wouldn't mind the toilet

Great spacious dog park but only has a single fence entry/exit point.

Park needs the double gate entry considering how close it is to a main road/highway. Watering station and more benches would be appreciated. The agility course is super fun and the trees provide some shade.

As dog parks go this is quite a good one. Well maintained, has an obstacle course, water and is reasonably clean. Haven't had many issues with aggressive dogs here either. It's quite a bit larger than alot of other parks and completely fenced.

Most visitors seem to clean up after their dogs, but you will occasionally find some dog droppings that are left by their owners.

Only downside is that it does seem to have quite a number of bindis in some areas which for puppies can be a bit annoying, particularly hairy dogs can get them stuck in their fur also.

On the whole though, its probably close to the best dog park around.

Trees, a lot of space to just walk around. I wish there were more chairs to sit under the shade though but overall a great place to just enjoy nature and if you don't mind dogs and their owners sharing the space with you.
