Thank you very much for all your efforts that kept us safe and alive tonight!
Tonight (July 15, 2024), my friends and I had planned to dine at Amalfi Pizzeria Ristorante, a restaurant we had never visited before. We placed an order for a large specialty pizza from their menu.
When the pizza was served, the staff unfortunately did not inform us of its name. As a result, we began eating our meal.
After some time, the same staff member approached us and informed us that the restaurant had mistakenly served us the wrong pizza. They explained that we would still be required to pay for the incorrect pizza since we had already consumed it.
Additionally, if we still wished to have the specialty pizza that we had originally ordered, we would need to pay for an additional serving. This meant that we had to cancel our original order in order to receive the pizza we had not intended to have.
We regret to inform you that our experience tonight was quite disappointing. The pizza that was served to us was excessively salty, to the point of being inedible. We were not at all impressed with the quality of the food.
Furthermore, we were surprised that the manager did not take responsibility for the situation and instead sent two waiters to address our concerns. They simply stated that the mistake was not their fault and that it must have occurred before the food was served, possibly in the kitchen or elsewhere. (We found this response to be unprofessional and dismissive.)
Additionally, they were not asked about any food allergies prior to our meal being served. We can not help but wonder what would have happened if any of us had a severe allergy. It is concerning that the staff did not take the time to inquire about this important matter.
Given the totality of our experience, it is unlikely that we will be returning to this establishment in the future.

Can be very busy. Probably book in advance. The food was very very good. Would come back for the food.

Above average marinara pasta. Serving size is big. Tiramisu was flavourful and creamy. Will be amazing if sponge at the bottom was wetter

One of the busiest restaurants during the week, once you dine here you can understand why - it’s fantastic! Our waiter Stefano was so helpful, funny and considerate - thank you! The portion sizes of pasta and pizza are massive. The marinara pasta was loaded with fresh seafood - delish!

The food was amazing, with very robust, delicious italian flavors. Service was very polite and attentive. I had the Burratta salad, which was very good, followed by a bowl of their homemade Minestrone soup, which was very fresh, and you could definitely tell it was homemade. I ordered the smaller portion of the spaghetti 🍝 and meatballs dinner and I was amazed, the flavors and texture was perfect. Would definitely recommend this place.

Tucked just off the centre of Rundle St, this restaurant takes pride in the food it presents - great choices and great flavours in a cosy environment
The hustle and bustle of Rundle St (particularly in March madness) can detract from the dining experience, so I think this place being just off Frome is a big feature to highlight
The food itself is delicious, using familiar flavour combinations in a unique spin
We tried a bit of everything and left very satisfied
The thing that I appreciated most was that throughout every element you could see the pride that this place had - all the way from service to the food
I loved it; will definitely be back

Make a booking or arrive early to secure your spot at this fantastic restaurant! Fresh ingredients and friendly service the moment you walk past the restaurant you’ll want to stay and have something to eat.
The pizzas and fresh tomato and sardine focaccia were delicious. Our only regret was not having enough days in the city to visit again.
