Stopped here on a whim as a passerby! Best decision ever!!! Small place with character, cool behind the counter was a pleasure to watch prepare food, looked amazing as he prepared it! Tasted better as I ate it! Flavour was full and warm! Scoop of garlic to mix in, and the size of the helping was huge! I would have drank all the broth if I could have fit it in, tossed my hand in the picture for comparison! Keep in mind I’m a big guy with big hands lol! Don’t miss your chance to try this place, if there were more stars I would have added them!

The food was spectacular, all the ingredients had delicious flavors, from the broth to the pork (which has been one of the best I have ever eaten), the attention very fast and friendly.

One of the best ramen spots in the city. Very small restaurant, so depending on the time of day, there may be a line up.

As noted on the menu, their Miso Ramen is highly recommended. If you’re a garlic lover, highly recommend adding the garlic ball. Compared to other ramen spots in the city, they are very generous on the bean sprouts and other garnishing. Broth is very rich and flavourful. The fat chasu is the one to go with, so tender!

Had the ramen of my dreams here.
Stopped by on a Wednesday night and grabbed a seat at the bar.
It was a small place, only 5 tables and they will only seat you once every one arrives. There was a line most of the time I was dining.

I had the spicy garlic ramen and it had such great flavour, spicy in a flavorful but not overpowering way. Noodles were soft and tender with great chews.

Staff wasn’t overly friendly, but you don’t go there for the staff.

Would definitely recommend and would be worth waiting in line for.
I had high hopes for Kitaro Ramen, and I was going to score 3 stars for the food but hear me out. While the food seemed authentic, it lacked seasoning, and the cleanliness of the place is very questionable, the plastic water cups are yellowish. The service was okay, but while I was eating, a tiny cockroach-looking insect came out from a crack on the bar, which really put me off. Couldn't finish the meal and got out as soon as I could. Unless they do deep cleaning at the store , it's a no-go for me.

Best comfort food, especially on a cold rainy day.

Highly recommend the Cheese Ramen. The broth is creamy, smooth and balanced. It’s very unique, and you can’t find anything like this anywhere else. Definitely worth a try!

Quality has remained consistent over the years. Will always return here when I get cravings for good ramen. Great portion size compared to other ramen places too. You can choose to add extra noodles for $1.75, but you’d hardly need it unless you’ve been starving for the entire day.

Went on Sunday afternoon and didn't need to wait to get a table for 3. The place is small so I'd say it's more ideal to go by yourself or with one other person.

Ordered vegetable ramen with pork broth (medium). Soup base was delicious and not too oily. There was a good variety of vegetable, but wish there were more greens. It was a lot of bean sprouts, wakame, and corn.

Paid $20.83 after tip for the bowl.

Friends ordered the vegetarian ramen and cheese ramen. Cheese portion was generous, though not a lot of pork.

Used to come here a lot as a teen so there is the nostalgic factor, but the portions and quality have changed. Still a nice place to go if you're in the area and want a quick bite.
