It's a free for all here! Folk are to busy trying to get a "good" drop off spot they forget there are other cars, drivers and passengers about. Watch your back!
As a drop-off it's fine.
However the price is an obscenity. Abusing the location and the captured clientele to scalp them out of every penny they can.
It can't be terribly healthy having all those running engines in a fairly enclosed area, either.

Very busy, no matter what the time. I feel that it's close enough to pick up visitors, but my visitors got lost.

It works out at about a pound a minute if you are just dropping off or picking up. I think you get about 10 minutes but you don't need it, personally I dislike the place and as fortune would have it, I don't think I'll have to use it again.
No rubbish bins outside. Easy to get to. Wayfinding signage needs just a little improvement. You need to be at Exit 5? There are no signs for that. Nice Starbucks just inside.
The worst idea honestly taxing people to drop off or get picked up other countries dont charge for this and must pay with card held to hostage to pay something that people pay tax to use public roads already , the reality is people should boycott it but know they either have to go to Prestwick or Edinburgh at an additional cost
I hate the place. International airport but only 5 passport scans on the way back to the country. Everywhere else you go has plenty of them. £5.00 for pickup ups minimum but now just pay by card. It's just a rip off even before you leave the country on prices. Other airports do not do this so get a grip
