This mall is spectacular!
It is definitely one of Calgary’s gems, and worth checking out if you’re new to the city. I come here all the time!
My favorite feature is the massive curved glass roof, which let’s in all that beautiful sunshine, providing plenty of natural light… even during the cold winter months.
The Devonian gardens are worth coming here for alone. Beautiful trees, water features, and fish. A great place to relax, read a book, and listen to some piano music while you bask in some tropical humidity. Palm trees in Calgary? Yup!
The top floor food court is bathed in sunlight and provides plenty of variety for eating. Bourbon Grill, Edo, Villa Madina, A&W, Thai Express, Greek XPress, Sushi Shop, etc… Just don’t forget to try a sweet crepe or delicious gelato afterwards at Froshberg Gelato. If you want a nice coffee afterwards with European style pastry, then Les Moulins La Fayette on the ground floor will be your destination.
With just over 120 shops it definitely does not provide as much variety as Chinook or Market mall but there is plenty here to accommodate the urban lifestyle. There is also a dedicated area for kids to play in, featuring a mini climbing wall.
The mall is conveniently located in the downtown core and easily accessible via C-train and bus. Pick-up and drop-off is on 3rd St. The parkade is accessible on 4th St. Parking is FREE after 3:00pm for 3 hours, and then a $2 flat rate thereafter.
The famous Stephen Ave walk is right next door so you’re ready for a beautiful stroll all the way down to Olympic Plaza.

This mall has the potential to be great, but it falls short in several areas. There is a noticeable presence of homeless individuals at every corner, indicating a lack of security. I'm not sure who the area director is, or if there even is one, but this needs attention. The upstairs area, with its beautiful plants and fish, suffers due to water restrictions, leaving the pond green and murky. Additionally, the stores cater mostly to older people rather than younger shoppers. Overall, this is more of a walking, business and fun mall rather than a shopping destination.

I really love this mall in Calgary. Both the green area and food service are on the same floor. Great!! There are also many options in the Core shopping centre, including banks and some stores.

Great mall downtown. The garden area is SO beautiful, hardly feels like a mall. I always visit when I’m in Calgary.

The best part of the mall is the food court, which is located on the last floor of the mall building. Great atmosphere, and it gives visitors the opportunity to relax and spend time with their loved ones.

Core shopping centre is very calm and cosy place that It gives you a pleasant relaxation. The unique architecture of this mall and the use of a glass roof make the interior of the mall benefit from direct sunlight and create a very good feeling for visitors. Also, the presence of very beautiful and green natural plants as well as a pond full of colorful fishes has provided immense positive energy on the fourth floor next to the food court.

Core Shopping Mall offers a premium shopping experience with its diverse range of upscale retailers, modern design, and convenient central location, making it a top destination for fashion-forward shoppers and dining enthusiasts alike.
