Killarney Lake View Point

Do not go swimming you will be eaten alive by all the leaches but great to walk or bike around

After walking off the ferry, it took us 60 minutes to reach the view point. It takes about 1 hour to walk around the whole lake. It is an easy walk on dirt or gravel trail or boardwalk so runners are fine. There can be some slightly muddy spots.

There are many places to take beautiful photos of the lake, trees, mountains and sky. You can hear and see lots of birds chirping pretty sounds, along with crickets and frogs making for a very relaxing walk!

Once you walked around this amazing lake you can walk 60 minutes back down to some tasty food at Snug Cove in one of the bars, cafes or restaurants! Well worth the trip from Vancouver!

Nice place. You can take a very scenic hike around the lake and its not too far from the ferry terminal.

It's not a difficult trail. In walking distance from snug cove. You may need about two hours to go in the loop and come back to Snug Cove.

The walk around the trail is incredibly beautiful. The ferns, some old growth trees, cool swamp to view from the boardwalk.

Wish we saw a frog though.

Nice and quite walking/picnic area! We saw a couple of duck families there.

It is a perfect spot to have a relaxing picnic, easy access, it is 30minutes walking from the ferry terminal, there is a public bus that can take you right there as well, the bus stop is just a few steps to the left when you walk out the ferry, if deciding to walk it is about 15-20 minutes up the hill then 15 minutes on the side road by the forest, is worth it! There are Picnic tables beside the lake.
