Sadly this is by far the worst op shop in the inner west. The prices are astronomical for the tat they sell, most of it sadly is fit for landfill and what’s not is priced laughably high. You want to buy a Zara top that was $20 in 2018, that’s now been well worn and costs $35 you’ve found your place!
The ladies who are in the back don’t seem to do a lot of work, other than scowl at customers and gossip.

Reduce your prices by at least 40% and you might see some traction on the goods that are there for months collecting dust!

If your thinking of going here for a good deal think again. You will be wasting your precious time by even walking in here. This Salvos used to be good before they had renovations and new management back in 2019. Sadly in those 5 years it has gone in massive decline. The prices are a complete ripoff and joke. For example charging $16 for a random no brand used toy car made in China, video games for $10 a piece. Which other Op shops charge $1-$5 each for, it’s even cheaper to buy on eBay with free postage directly to your own home. Also many fast fashion handbags and clothing for +$15 some are not in good condition. Not to mention the staff members didn’t give good vibes at all. They kept staring at me like I was going to steal something. I suggest the people of Marrickville not to donate here instead donate all your stuff to Ted Noffs on the opposite of the road. They know the true meaning of what a charity is. Exactly Salvos Marrickville your purpose is to be a charity not a pawnbroker. REMEMBER YOUR CAUSE is a Charity for people in need!

One of, if not the most expensive "op" shops in Sydney. Items are often in terrible condition and priced extortionately. The pricing is at a level that leads me to ponder whether or not the staff have gone mad. What is under $20 is usually fast fashion in terrible condition, or "vintage" clothing that is also is awful nick. The price of the accessories is particularly egregious, with a peeling faux leather mini bag being slapped with a $25. Or a pair of scratched up sunnies for $12... It's worth a look in the 50% off section, but even with that markdown the items are a lot more expensive than they should be. I like to go in every so often "just in case" but I never find anything I can afford and like. I also find the staff are grumpy and overly suspicious. The Anglicare down the block is in the same ballpark in regards to price, but the staff are friendly and the shopping environment is a lot more pleasant.

One staff should stop following and staring, its really uncomfortable being watched. I had to put down what i was deciding to buy because of the obvious staring (i know bcs she was following me to the racks, stood there and look at me then leave when i put the item down).

Do i regret not getting the shirt? - yes. Am i now hesitate to come back? - also yes. This shop has been one of my go to for quite a while. Hope other staffs can correct her please

Paying upwards of $15 for some cotton on/fast fashion rubbish is extortionate. Why don’t you focus on not letting stuff go straight to landfill? This is literally the most unaffordable clothing store in Marrickville 😫 and it’s secondhand hahah. Pop off NOFFS!! (;

Had a really lovely experience here and haven’t seen the place since it was renovated. The staff were really friendly and helpful. As I shopped, I watched them engage with regular customers with familiarity and a big smile. It was a lovey atmosphere. There were some 50% racks/shelves, so there were some good bargains and it felt more like a traditional op-shop experience rather than a frustratingly overpriced one that seems to be much more common amongst op-shops these days.
