Love the food here! Excellent dumplings and the ho sho's are delicious too! 😋 pork noodles are very interesting, a bit weird but super yummy 👌

The food was incredibly disappointing. Plain, boring and as if a child had whipped something together at the last minute. And the presentation was dreadful. When I saw the plastic containers containing my food I wanted to call the ACCC and report Folksticks for false advertising.

Don't waste your time and money coming here.

I ordered the sesame dry noodle, vegetarian spicy noodle, and beef brisket ho shaw.

The portion size was good and the food tasted ok. I liked the noodle texture as well.

However I felt the food was really lacking in many things. Firstly, the noodle dishes barely had any other ingredients - not much vegetable or garnish. The sesame noodle was too pasty and thick and I got sick of it quite quickly. The spicy noodle wasn't hitting the spot with the spice. The ho shaw was decent but not something that would make me come back for more.

Hidden in the neon jungle of second floor Burwood China town, Folksticks had a positive impact on my impression on Chinese food, where I was starved of the authentic flavors it could present and merely neglected to the general fast food court stir fry style 2 dishes + rice. The fire noodles folkstick shocked me, it wasn’t overly spicy to the point it was burning but yet I yearned for another bite. The texture of the incredibly soft tender beef, juicy with every bite was a pleasant experience with the fried peanuts adding a nice crunch experience. With all the components combined, every bite was delectable. I’m looking forward to coming back to this place.
I would highly encourage a nice soft drink to wash away and reset the palate :)

Honestly the food here wasn’t bad but it just wasn’t great either. The dryness of both dishes really just soaks away all moisture and it’s hard to taste the flavor of the dish. The person working the store was nice though, was able to reassure me of the time left it would take to finish but I don’t see myself going back.

Located on the first floor of the Burwood Chinatown. We had the beef brisket sesame noodle and beef brisket with the flakey bread. Both were very well portioned for the price. Interestingly the noodles are freshly made to order by a machine in the store.

My no.7 noodle was too spicy and barely warm. The no.4 wide noodle my partner ordered was overcooked and flavourless. It also took 25 mins for the food to come out when there's only one other table
