Don’t move hear there’s never hot water it be cold

Day 4 with no heat or hot water.....AVOID at all cost. Poorly managed building. Unsanitary and definitely not safe. Dirty hallways and front door that doesn’t lock meaning any and everyone has access to the building. Management doesn’t care about its tenants and/or complaints. Impossible to reach anyone on the weekends in the event or an emergency the building has no super or an emergency contact.

Every winter there is an issue with heat and hot water tenants suffer while management makes excuses and broken promises and at the end of the day go home to their warm houses.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

I went to look at an apartment with a broker today on the Upper East Side - he was really chill about when payments were due. He took me to his office on the Upper West and seemed sketchy and couldn't really answer my question as to what the difference in he versus the management company were. I just wanted clarification on who to call about possible issues - he mentioned keeping in contact with the residents about their upkeep. This seemed very sketchy that the actual management company itself doesn't take care of? He got irritated when I started to question before signing a lease. And then a flip switched when I asked for 20 minutes to double check everything (read the lease in depth). This COULD be legit and easy but there were just too many things that I was uneasy about - including ALL 1 star ratings on Google AND Yelp.
