Waka

I have been going to this place for years and they have been consistently great. The food is always well presented and tasty, they have a good amount of beer and sake selection. Booking in advance is best as it’s quite hard to get a table otherwise.

So happy this is close to home, and that Manly has delicious, high quality, good value Japanese thanks to Waka. Wherever I have sashimi and sushi craving, this place hits the spot. I've eaten here multiple times dining in and take away and it's consistently good. I hope it stays the best Japanese in the northern beaches! 5 stars for taste, quality, price, staff friendliness, Japanese atmosphere.

Food is good, big portions. However, the atmosphere is ruined by the continuous in and out by takeaways and felt like dining at the mall food court, with the door left open with freezing air coming through. Had to go closing it so many times.

BEST JAPANESE RESTAURANT EVER! Service 10/10, food 10/10, atmosphere 10/10. Perfect for family of 5/6 or for a date. Food came out so quickly. We loved every bit of it, will be here again for sure! Definitely recommend the Fuji apple sour cocktail, I had 3 😂

We love their bento boxes and mostly get them takeaway.

The restaurant is also really cute and nice to eat at.

Waka is a hidden gem in Manly, Sydney. This cozy Japanese restaurant is tucked away on Pittwater Road, but it's definitely worth seeking out. The food is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting.

I've been to Waka several times now, and I've never been disappointed. The sushi and sashimi are always melt-in-your-mouth, and the tempura is light and crispy. I also love the gyoza, which are plump and flavorful.

Waka is a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family. It's also a good option for a romantic date night.

I highly recommend Waka to anyone looking for a great Japanese restaurant in Manly.
