It came as a huge surprise to me that in a public park, there would be marine animals living. I love the conditions. Looks likes the animals are in their natural environment.
The both sea seals and lions look happy and swim freely.
Presumably, they are gift from the government of Uruguay to the citizens of Santander and it is amazing that they didn’t get put into a private zoo or anything, but everybody can come and visit for free

Free entry, no tickets. There are few penguins, some seals, sea lion, in a very small space. The park with the palace is nice and big, beautiful sight

Incredible place to visit in Santander. My favourite spot! Lots of views and shades on a sunny day.

A very cute little zoo. So fun to see the animals and you can watch the feedings. The times are posted on site. Definitely worth a stop if you are doing a walk around the peninsula.

Great place on the Santander coast with views and animals. Free access and free parking.
Beautiful park around the palace with stunning sea views and a small sea zoo with penguins and seals , adorable !

We had a ticket for the small train as part of the red sight seeing tourist bus tickets but you could walk round on food in under an hour.

Such a fun surprise! Just walking around the beach and exploring the area and you walk up on three enclosures, one with penguins and two with two types of seals. No fee required and both the animals and their areas looked clean and well maintained. The walk is easy and the views looking back at the city and across the water are great!
