Six of us cyclists reached Auburn in time for lunch after riding from Pennant Hills on route to Rhodes. Great culinary experience they you can't get anywhere else in Sydney. Between us we covered a good sampling of the menu - all good and with serves big enough to satisify hungry cyclists. Highly recommended

Great Authentic Afghan food ever the best home food Recipes caring for more than 200 years great staff and lovely owners please try the most delicious and quality food ever entire restaurants

Amazing restaurant for Afghan cuisine. Highly rate their Pallaw rice and their dumplings. The food comes quick and there is an abundance of seating to choose from. Staff are nice and the prices are reasonable. Parking can be a bit tricky but there is a nearby shopping centre to park at. Otherwise there is plenty of street parking.

I had been told about the Khaybar restaurant and finally ventured out Auburn. Wow. The food was abundant and delicious. We’ve committed to returning every month to make our way through the menu. Today we had the Qaboli Pallow and Mantu. Delicious. We met both chefs who said the food is cooked using their mother’s recipes, recipes that have been passed down for more than 200 years. Can’t wait to try the Sabzi Challow and the Buranee-Badenjan. Highly recommend this place.

Disgrace to Afghan cuisine, flavourless, overpriced, incorrectly cooked, and served food. It's not worth the visit unless you are not acquainted with Afghan cuisine.
Ordered some Bolani (stuffed bread) on the go, the guy boasted a lot about how it's a homemade recipe, etc. After a fair wait, he came back with paper thin bread having minimal stuffing, no spices or flavour in the stuffing, just plain boiled potato, and it was apparently pan-fried, which turned it into cardboard, for the dip there was a tiny bit of watery chutney, no yoghurt. With that price cld hv done atleast better with dips.
We basically paid $35 fr some flavourless fried wheat crackers and $7 fr a coffee cup worth of Dough (youghurt drink)
Given the chain of restaurants in the same street, good luck surviving with this kind of food, service, and pricing.
The place is clean and has good decor, but that's about it. That 1 star would be enough for that.

Food was great, really delicious. The bread was really thick and slightly undercooked from inside.
Service was great by the only waitress considering she was the only one serving all the tables and working really hard.
The atmosphere is not too bad however giving only 3 stars because of uncomfortable hard wooden chairs with no cushions.

This was our 2nd time at Khayber within a few weeks..the food is simply exquisite. Generous servings of meat and rice; we still ended up taking some home! Reasonably priced and felt like someone's grandmother had lovingly prepared each dish. Staff were attentive and super helpful. 10 stars!
