I did some research and came to this spot expecting to launch our power boat, but the lake level was extremely low. The water was like ankle deep almost to the middle. I was surprised it wasn't higher in the middle of the summer, but I guess that's what happens when you're dealing with public utility lakes. This is a great spot to launch kayaks but power boat owners should be weary. It is quite beautiful though.

Very busy on a Saturday. Hard to get to the launch area, everyone was using it as a place to hangout.

Beautiful area; however, we were unsuccessful in launching a 13' Alaskan Smokee Craft. The water was about 2' deep to the end of the dock, unpaved - not dredged. People had tents on the shore with children playing in both potential boat launch areas. Not sure if something changes later in the season, but if it stays at this level of maintenance, it's guaranteed to keep people off the lake and out of the boat in campsites!!

One of my favorite spots up here. must stop and see. the views are breathtaking

Hard to find parking during summer weekends. The mountain scenes is spectacular and worth the drive of 3 hours to get there. The boat launch with small rocks is good enough for our kayaks. The lake part at boat launch is calmer water than the other side beyond the bridge and I saw young people paddling without life vests, water is very cold even in Summer so be safe to wear your vest because the wind from mountain is strong cause lot of waves and hard to come back to boat launch area.

Keep an eye on the water levels before you bring a boat to launch. The boat ramp is very close to the parking lot meaning you won't need to carry any other gear very far. The water nearby is shallow and rocky enough to launch kayaks or canoes. The dock nearby is a great lunch spot.

Isn't far from the parking; launch boat and have fun
