We bought vegetarian fried rice, beef and black bean and pan fried Shen Jian Bao- amazing! The dumplings had the most beautiful crispy base. Best rice I’ve had in ages and the beef was so soft.

We're also here when it's busy and I also love the quieter times but the food is always amazing and the service is good and staff friendly. It's a definite recommend

This recent Chinese restaurant established in Tunstall Square, and finally I got a chance to try. In my opinion it was pretty good, especially loved the honey black pepper beef. The service was quick, and ordered bia the QR code. We’ll definitely come back to try other dishes.

Decently priced with Okay food. All dishes were edible, however nothing really stood out overall. Flavour was about 5/10 for all dishes ordered. Highlight was the pumpkin cakes with red bean however. Could consume a mountain of them.

Disappointed that we were served pork dumplings when we explicitly asked for vegetarian dumplings and then reconfirmed. If the waiters do not want to write the order down, at least make sure they mix up the orders! Luckily, the dish was replaced promptly and without any issues.

Located at the South west end of Tunstall Square shopping precinct, East Alley Dumpling and Beer restaurant serves a variety of Chinese and Malaysian dishes.

Some dishes are great and with good texture and flavour. Some of the dishes are a bit creative and if you're looking for a traditional dish you may be disappointed. Eg. San choy bao had sweet corn and mayo. There's also a shredded potato dish is super hot chillis.

Often busy and noisy, with staff preoccupied. You may need to draw their attention if you need something.

Bookings may be required unless you're prepared to wait for a table.

Payment can be done by cash or face up to the 1.5% surcharge on all electronic transactions - EFTPOS, credit cards, debit cards etc.
