Char Thai BBQ has great a Atmosphere and the service is top notch. Their menu are full and it could easily entice one to over order wanting to try every dish. I always try to arrive at restaurants I review right on opening time, to prevent photographing other customers. I can imagine Char Thai BBQ easily being full on Fridays and Saturdays night. The restaurant was bright and clean. The dishes we ordered presented well and plentiful. The total cost of our meals and two drinks was only $76, and that was including a whole barramundi. I only gave three stars for food due to the barramundi not been as fresh as I anticipated. The skin of the fish was crispy, the sauce and salad was deliciously light and tangi. I recommend Chai Thai BBQ and definitely would be a returning customer. Loved our lunch and truly enjoyed ourselves.

Great place for a casual meetup. The food was decent especially the Thai red curry however, I got some hair in mine so which isn't a great experience. The deep fried seafood roll was also tasting very funky, and not in a good way.
Cocktails were decent lite but much too sweet with loads of ice. Sweet and strong would have definitely been better.

Excellent Lunch Specials …$14-$17 ..fresh food cooked very well … and licensed 👍👍Centrally located just opposite the entrance to Westfield North Lakes (Anzac Ave ) We will be back ! 😁😁😁
Very rude staff, not so great food, visit this restaurant if you want to get insulted by the rude wait staff. I would give ZERO stars if I could.
My wife and I recently dined at this restaurant and, unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. We ordered Grilled Pork, Thai Green Curry, Jasmine Rice, and Grilled Chicken. However, our dining experience was marred by unprofessional service and subpar food quality.
Our Thai Green Curry was served first, without the accompanying rice. After waiting five minutes, I politely inquired about the Jasmine Rice, only to be met with a brusque response from the server who shouted, "It's coming." Considering there was only one other table occupied during Sunday lunchtime, I was surprised by this reaction.
When the Grilled Pork arrived, it was excessively dry. As a professional chef with 20 years of experience, I could tell that the meat was not freshly grilled. Upon questioning the waiter about this, she responded that she would check with the chef. Eventually, they replaced the pork with a juicier cut.
I also questioned the same server about the Thai Green Curry, which seemed to lack meat and vegetables, submerged in an overwhelming amount of sauce. Her response was dismissive, stating, "That's how we eat in Thailand." At this point, we decided to end our meal early.
Despite our disappointment, we paid the bill in full and left. I have attached photos to provide a clearer picture of our experience. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant due to the rude staff and disappointing food quality.

The staff were very friendly and showed a great deal of attentiveness . This is my first time at this restaurant, so I wanted to try something different. We had the pork bites with Thai dipping sauce, satay chicken sticks, and money bag for entree. Good sized servings and delicious entree. For the main, we had the Char Thai BBQ and Shabu . We ordered the $89.00 package, which included wagyu beef, pork jowl , seafood such as prawns, calamari, and side vegetables . The overall experience and the food were enjoyable, succulent meat, delicious, well balanced, and very filling . It's just amazingly delicious. The combination of meat , vegetables, and seafood was excellent. Certainly something I’d gladly eat again. 💯💯💯
A friend recommended it to me as a delicious Thai restaurant, so I went there. I called 5-6 times to make a reservation, but no one answered the phone. So I just went there.
The atmosphere was cozy and nice, but they said there was only seating outside, so I asked the waiter if he could turn on the gas heater because it was cold, but they firmly said no. So I ordered some food, some wine, and then I went home to get a jacket and blanket.
The food was generally delicious, but the papaya salad was very disappointing. This is my first time eating such a tasteless papaya salad. There was no taste and the soft shell crab was very cold. The barbecue pork was especially delicious. One of the staff wasn't very friendly, but the food was delicious so I plan to go again.
