Overlook Exchange Apartments

I had an excellent time working with Overlook Exchange. Inez Mata was very thorough, helpful and overall just a pleasure to work with. I appreciate the time Inez and the people at Overlook Exchange took to help me rent an apartment from them. The apartments themselves are nice and close to everything. I feel that the rent is reasonably priced and that I got a great deal from them. I definitely recommend considering Overlook Exchange when shopping for an apartment.

The elevator has not worked for approximately 45% of the time I have been there. Been there for 2 years now. It is hard to see people with small children, groceries, and the elderly go up and down 3-4 floors. It is hard for them, an elderly going 3 floors up and down just to go to a doctor's appointment?? unbelievable. Whenever complained to the office they say to submit a request, after doing it, the elevator is still not working. It works for 1-2 weeks then goes out for the next month. When asked they say that it is going to be fixed the next week. Never happens.

The hallways in building 1 and 10 smell too much, it feels like dogs pissed in the carpets. The carpets have never been washed since I was there, was vacuumed though. And people have trash lying out in the hallway. If the trash is leaking, they just put a note saying that it is wrong and leave it as is, leaking and staining the entire floor. Sad.

Dogshit is also found on the ground often. Once I even saw a snake with the radius around the size of a clorox wipes box.

The maintenance guy with the beard is cool, smart, and professional.

The apartment is good, but the maintenance should be good. I got the 3rd floor just because there was an elevator, another was available without an elevator. I chose the one with the elevator even though it cost more, but I do not get what I needed and I am paying them extra for no reason. I hope that they do better. The apartment is at a safe place and I hope that they improve themselves soon and fast.

Adriana at the front office was very nice and helpful. She placed the maintenance request for a new air filter for my A/C unit right away and, since it was on backorder, it would be brought to me when they receive the order. Maintenance man came the next day to bring the filter to me. He was also very nice and professional. Thank you for your help and great service.

Avoid this place if you can. The customer service is awful. Whenever you call about repairs, they just tell you to email them, and nothing ever gets done. I had a leak that ruined my work computer, and they didn’t fix it. They only care about you if you’re willing to pay extra, and they never call you back. The hallways, elevators, and stairs are always dirty, and they kick you out of the pool for no reason. It’s just not worth it. They’re rude, and don’t want to help you.

Oh, and the traffic on De Zavala is terrible. Just do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!

I visited today Overlook Exchange apartments with my family and Ms Ines Mata help us. She was really helpful and nice. She provided a great experience for us and she answered all our questions with a smile. She speaks English and Spanish which was amazing because we are a Hispanic family. We really enjoyed our visit thanks to her

This place has been nothing short of amazing, I highly recommend living here! The management is extremely helpful, maintenance is amazing, and you can't find a better deal for the price in San Antonio. I've explored dozens of apartments and this is the one to be at! Thanks to Alfred especially as he has been a great help with every request and every question I have had.

Recently renewed my lease and decided I should share my experience while living here. Greenwood Star has done their due diligence and hired staff that has turned this property around. If you are in the market & looking for your next place to plant roots, I hope you consider Overlook Exchange Apartments! Everyone in the front office has been pleasant to work with. The maintenance staff is friendly, professional & efficient! Do recommend. This property is in a great school district, C- UTSA, HS- Brandeis, MS- Stinson, ES- Carnahan. Dog friendly, there is a dog park on the property and access to a recently completed dog park up the street. Access to Leon Creek Greenway trails. I have enjoyed living here!
