if i could leave zero stars i would have left one, everyone here is so incompetent and unhelpful , they should be closed down personally cause they’re not helping anyone. Idk if it cause i'm black that they treated me that way but all i want to say is don't register here

On Thursday 8th June 2023, i had a 10am appointment with nurse Mel - red hair, glasses and tattoos. im not sure if she is new to the surgery as i have never seen her before but her attitude and manner was completely rude and uncalled for. i went in for a blood test, which to my surprise i didn’t have the right forms for, which is fine. however when i tried to explain why i booked the appointment and the conversation i had with the receptionist, she was incredibly rude and kept dismissing/interrupting what i was saying. i asked if she would let me finish what i was saying but she kept interrupting, dismissing and paying no attention at all. i called her out for her behaviour on being rude and told her that it’s not an acceptable way to speak to patients especially when trying to explain what the issue is. she didn’t care and kept being dismissive, so i left, as i did not want the situation to escalate.

i left the surgery feeling very annoyed but thought i would just forget about it and go on with my day. however a week later, i have received a letter from the surgery saying my behaviour was inappropriate which i will not stand for. Mel was incredibly rude, unprofessional and tempered and i will not have anyone speak to me in that manner.

Worst attention ever. The receptionists don’t want to help you nor understand you, they don’t care about your health at all. I have tried to register already twice and they have made it super difficult. They lost the fist registration form, and about the second, they deny it for a phone number, information that I got calling them daily, because of course, they don’t notify you at all if you are registered or no. They told me in the middle of a breathing crisis that I can’t register because I did add my foreign number instead of my Uk one. So, instead of them adding my number manually to fill in that last detail of the application so I can get a medical appointment, they told me in that I had to fill in another form (3rd time) and wait for another week. Everything is problematic and complicated with this surgery. Don’t recommend.

I have been registered with this surgery for over 15 years and it has gone from very good, bad and then to worse.

You call to speak to a doctor and are just given the run around regardless of being under their care for an injury. They will not book you in to speak to or even see a doctor in advance and just say call back for an emergency appointment.

That said once you actually see a doctor their care is usually great, but reception and the system they operate is absolute rubbish.

I’d give 0 stars if it was an option. Rang Chancellors yesterday after being on hold for 30 minutes for Tilehurst Village Surgery (despite being “first in the queue” the entire time). I was ringing about a very sensitive topic/ concerns about my pregnancy so was understandably extremely worried and upset. The receptionist was absolutely useless, she was asking random questions and then just having long silences to the point that I just had to say “are you actually going to help me or should I be ringing somewhere else?”. She then got the doctor to call me and she was extremely cold and unfriendly with no sympathy to my situation. She said she’d ring the maternity unit for me and I asked when I could expect an update and she abruptly said “just let me speak to them ok?”. She actually then proceeded to end the call by hanging up without saying goodbye or anything! Zero manners at all. I ended up paying to go private and it was absolutely well worth the money just to actually speak to somebody who was polite, friendly and reassuring. Terrible doctors surgery.

This is the worst gp surgery in the uk.when ever we call to get an appointment they simply say we don’t have appointments.even if they give the appointment the gp simply say please go to A&E . I would say the Over the counter pharmacist is much better than these GPs in this surgery.

One of the worst so called doctors surgeries in Berkshire. Simply inept lack any understanding at all of reality sit on their over paid backsides to do nothing.

This surgery has had several complaints about their service and they don't improve they get worse.

Clueless receptionists doctors who can't understand reality and no service honestly I'd be better going to see Dr Nick from the simpsons
