This is Big Eatery Nicely Renovated in a 马来风味 Style and Cleanly Maintained. There were quite a Few Customers even at 11.00am on a Thursday.
The Staffs are Friendly. Among them is a Very Adorable Makcik who was Especially Friendly and Welcoming. She was the first to come greet me "Good Morning" and even when she was wearing a Mask, I could still "see" her Cute Smile.
Coffee was first to be served after 4 Mins, and both Lontong and Pratha were up in 5 Mins. Everything was served up in 5 Mins.
251 Cawanmas Home Blend Coffee (No Sugar) = RM8.90
Served in a Small Cup and has a Nice Roasted Coffee Bean Smell. Appearance looks Diluted but its not. Taste is Milky, and has what I would describe as a "Creamy Deep Bitterness" thats Not Overly Bitter. Quality is Decent.
507 Roti Pratha with Curry Sauce = RM5.50
The Pratha Curry is Watery but Woo!! This is Spicy! In fact, when I first tasted it, the Spiciness immediately attacked my Throat and sting hard and linger long. Woo! This Curry is Fierce! It has a Nice Curry Aroma. I thought the Curry tasted somewhat Sweetish.
The Sambal has a Sweetish Saltish Taste. More Sweet than Salty. Mildly Spicy, Has a Smooth Texture with no Grittiness. This taste like a Sambal you'd eat for Nasi Lemak. Not Bad Sambal if you like the Sweetish Type.
The Pratha itself is Good Quality. Dough is the Soft type and Not Doughy and has a Delightful Outer Crispy Layer. The Crispiness is like Small Little Crackling Crispy 脆脆 type of Texture. The Dough itself has a Nice 油香味 and it tastes good by itself Kosong even without any Curry or Sauce.
Dipping this Pratha into the Curry drenches it and it soaked up the Curry deeply like a Sponge and it can still manage to maintain its Outer Layer Crispy Texture. If you add that Sambal, it will have an Additional Sweetish hit to the Bite. Delightfully Yummy!
505 Lontong Goreng = RM10.50
I was taken aback by how Large Portion this was! The Photo on their Menu made it look like a Small Side-Dish, but the actual thing felt like it is enough for 2 Pax.
The Sambal that comes with this Lontong is not the Same Sambal that came with Pratha. Its Thicker and Grittier in Texture and has a "Deeper Sambal-ness". Spiciness is not Strong, not as Sweetish, and leans more towards Savoury.
The Pieces of Lontong Cubes makes the Dish look like a "Cai Tao Kueh with Sambal" but its not. The Kueh is not Radish Kueh but actually Malay Ketupat that has a Soft Bite Texture. Seeing it mixed with so much Sambal like this resembling a Cai Tao Kueh was new to me. I liked the addition of Taugeh which gives the dish some amount of Veggie Crunch.
Having said that, I thought the Amount of Sambal was too much for me. Because there are so much Sambal, I jelaked halfway through the Meal and couldn't finish the whole thing. If you order this, make sure to share this with someone. Personally I feel if they half the current portion, it would be just nice.
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At RM8.90 (S$2.80), I thought it was a Tad Expensive for this Cup of Coffee. Its Nice and Decent, but I don't feel its worth RM8.90. Although I did not try it, I thought their other 3-in-1 Version priced at RM5.20 (S$1.60) felt like a more Reasonable Price.
RM5.50 (S$1.70) for the Pratha is Expensive when compared with a Roti Canai in a Kopitiam, but this is a Mall Eatery after all. I enjoyed how Well Made, Tasty and Crispy the Roti Dough was even when eaten on its own without any Sauces.
RM10.50 (S$3.30) for this Big Plate of Lontong Goreng is worth the Money to try, but definitely share this with someone because the Amount of Sambal can feel Overwhelming.
If you have a craving for some Malay-Styled Cuisine when you're here in KSL City Mall, I can recommend this. Its Nice, Comfortable and a Good Place to Relax and Chill.

First time here, many choices of drinks hot and cold, western and local food. Mee Hoon kuah soup a bit salty for me. The hand pinched noodle is soft with lots of fried ikan bilis, some chicken meat, sliced Fish paste and Fish balls. My hubby had roti canai which was good while my daughter ordered french toast with butter & honey. Good as Its not too Sweet. Lemon honey a bit too Sweet for me. Coffee was ok
I regularly eat here every time I visit Johor Bahru. There is a lot of food and drink available. This is my favorite menu here, for those of you who like updating food photos here, the appearance is quite good. IG:@Indra_Isnato
The waiting staff are very prompt and observant. Good free wifi and I have a chendol which really quenched my thirst for sweet desert! Visited the 2nd time and today got to take away a star on the environment as found 2 small cockroaches around my table.
