Something about this restaurant's aesthetics are off. Idk if it's the colors, seatings or layout but it seems very outdated even though it seems newly renovated. Aside from that the food actually tasted great. I wouldn't come back here again though. Unfortunately, we waited over an hour for our food as the staff member told us 50+ minutes after ordering our food that there was a family emergency and one of the cooks had to leave. Obviously, this is understandable but I was hoping that the waitress had informed us of this earlier and checked on us rather than wait till the very last minute to inform us of the situation. Fortunately, we were compensated with a slice of cake of our choice for each of us (4).
We attended Brothers Mid September, the food was was okay. We ordered crab cakes, caesar salad, and veal parmesan, one order with pasta and the other with roast potato, it was good 😋. It was a little disappointing that they were out of Lasagna, that was originally one of our choices. I also had a "white wine sangria" the best I've ever had.
Upon being seated the waitress asked if we were there to celebrate anything, we said a Birthday, to our disappointment no offer of a dessert, kinda shocking, most other establishments will give a celebratory dessert, just a nice gesture.
We too were surprised at the decor, and have to agree with one other review, it really did seem like a Fish & Chip restaurant, certainly not the old Fine Dining atmosphere of the old Brothers. Might be nice to see some Italian decor to reflect the menu and to make a more warm authentic atmosphere.
The waitress was very nice and checked in on us often, and I believe one of the owners, didn't identify himself, came around to see how things were going, very professional.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Brothers Ristorante in Whitby, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The restaurant left a positive impression on me with its cleanliness, friendly staff, efficient service, and a serene ambiance.
Upon arrival, we were promptly seated. The staff's welcoming demeanor added to the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. The service was quick, and our orders were served without much delay.
As a connoisseur of Butternut Squash Ravioli, I always enjoy exploring this dish in different restaurants. While the Butternut Squash Ravioli at Brothers Ristorante wasn't my absolute favorite, I still found it to be quite tasty and a unique interpretation compared to other places. It's not a dish I will order again, but I'm glad I tried it.
My partner, unfortunately, when ordering, was told only one grill option on the menu was available. He had to settle with the 8oz steak, smaller than what he wanted, and when prepared, it was different from his requested level of doneness. This was a setback in an otherwise enjoyable evening, but it's worth mentioning for others to be cautious when ordering steak.
In terms of value, I have to admit that I felt the food didn't entirely justify the price we paid. Despite this, it was an enjoyable experience. The restaurant's tranquil atmosphere and friendly service were appreciated, and this contributed to a memorable birthday celebration.

Nice atmosphere and decor with marble flooring and walls, beautiful bar and lighting throughout restaurant despite first entrance door area to be dark before entering the restaurant.
All dishes had beautiful presentations, the bread, drinks, calamari, pasta and steak.
Calamari was cooked very well and served on some greens which looked great. Ordered the steak medium rare with potatoes and vegetables. The steak was seasoned well but cooked more on the medium side which was a little over for my liking. The char on the broccoli was a nice touch brining out the nutty flavors and slight crunch, potatoes were nicely seasoned herbs and cooked very well.
Our waiter was fantastic and also with a great sense of humor which comes out of nowhere. I will return but perhaps sticking to a pasta dish.

During my dine-in experience at this restaurant, I was genuinely impressed. The pizza I ordered was a delightful explosion of flavors that left my taste buds craving for more. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was top-notch. The beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant only added to the overall enjoyment, creating a comfortable and inviting ambiance. Along with the excellent pizza, I appreciated the wide variety of food selections available on the menu. With the winning combination of delectable taste, friendly staff, inviting atmosphere, and diverse menu options, this restaurant easily earns a 5-star rating from me.
Great food and what a classic place in Whitby. I have been in Whitby for my entire life and can’t believe I came here for the first time.
Food was generally good. For starters - Calamari was a good portion , the coconut shrimp was only 5 pcs - was hoping to see more.
For entrees, the Chicken Marsala was a bit too wine-y, I think it needs more cream. But then, it could just be me. The Fritti de Mare was okay. The Lobster Ravioli was very creamy and good but a little salty. The Blackened cod was a little bland, needs more salt. Deep fried battered cod was good.
Server was very attentive and asking us constantly if we need anything. They were pretty flexible too as my side should have been house salad but i requested for Caesar salad and it was not a problem.
