What a pleasant surprise. I was a bit skeptic at first, pushed back by the ticket price, but came out feeling like I got my money worth and much more. With the Admission Plus package, we had access to a quality buffet for lunch. The park is huge, clean, and with top customer service. The performances in México Spectacular were the cherry on the top, production value you would only see in a Broadway musical. Congratulations to the whole team, this probably will be one of the highlights of my vacation in Yucatán.
Did not stay for the night time events, unfortunately, since we had other plans but the full day was amazing.some of the wildlife wasn't out at the time due to some habitat remodeling, and we were a little bummed that we couldn't do the river cruise due to high water levels, but there was still so much to do. I recommend you check the schedule to see what cool workshop are being presented in the Mayan village. There is so much to learn and enjoy there.
It was a blast. Not much people and the weather isn’t crazy hot. I enjoyed the blue river the most. The Avery and butterfly sanctuary were so beautiful and the cultural night show at the end were so breathtaking no wonder they why they say it’s spectacular. I just wish that they let you eat at least twice with a xcaret plus ticket but I get it, there so many things to see and do in this park for the price of the ticket so it’s so worth it. Will definitely come back again next time.
I wish I had scheduled more time here! It's like a Disneyland with no rides. Several parks to choose from and tons to see. We went to the aviary and the butterfly display, then started heading for the puma display but ran out of time before the show. "Xcaret Mexico Spectacular Show", this is a must see show! Live action, lots of music. This shows a lot of Mexico's history as well as history and traditions from different areas of Mexico. It also has an underground river you can go in.
Absolutely a beautiful and joyful experience. There is no way to do everything in one day. We had the Plus ticket which included lockers, buffet choice from one of several restaurants and other plus access and activities. We got lucky with the perfect weather and a time when it wasn't overly busy. There is a huge parking area and parking is included. Everything is clearly marked and clean. When you present or get your new tickets the way into the park is clear and there are many employees ready to help you along the way with any questions. There are several colored paths you can choose to follow on the sidewalks as well as marked "road" signs. Stop and look at the large map posted to orient yourself and look at all the things you can see and do. There are several small shows, sites, displays, interactions to choose from. It's not possible to do everything in one day. You can also pay for add-on activities or purchase an upgraded ticket that includes added activities. We didn't and we still had time only to see maybe 1/3rd of this beautiful place. If you're interested, read about how this place got developed. It's fascinating. My advice is that you pick the paths and activities you want to accomplish roughly with leeway to stop here and there along the way when something catches your eye. One thing - always carry water. The place is huge and it's hot and you need to hydrate. You can buy bottled water and refill it at several marked stations throughout the park. I am posting some photos but honesty they hardly do this place justice. Yes, it's pricey but for the cleanliness, quality, safety, variety and beauty of this place we found it highly worth it and plan on returning.
Definitely a must see and an absolutely great experience! The underground river is a fun way to explore and travel, as there's checkpoints where you can stop if you want to leave early.
It's a very big location, so definitely a lot of walking but it has different areas which are themed and offer different things to see.
One of the best highlights and something you shouldn't miss is the show at the end, as they tell a great story about their past history and how their culture has evolved to what it is today.

I don't think, I can say anything new about this place, that has not been said before! I just wish, I knew before hand how expensive this place was, so, I don't do an 'all inclusive resort' and yet pay for this separately. I'd rather stay in the same place or per night basis!
Having said that, this place is a theme park, zoo, aquarium and a cultural show - all combined into one! So, rightfully, you will need more than a day to cover everything.
Here are some highlights from what we learnt:
* Everything is a 'payable item' that can be added to your entry ticket. Options are very expensive. Pick and choose what you/your group want.
* Follow the colored lines! If in doubt, get to your colored line.
* Very good facilities; very organized and thoughtful. You just have to look. It's their system - go with the flow!
* Reach a little early and get in the river first. Go up river; come down through various enclosures. Any other way consumes time and effort!
* There is a not so well-known, dolphin encounter at 10.30am at a 30% discounted rate. They won't try to sell it.
* Pictures are VERY expensive.
* 1 lunch is paid for in the price of the ticket. Try to go at the shoulder times to avoid lines or crowding. There are I think 5 HUGE restaurants. Hosts are very methodical and organized.
* Do NOT miss the 5pm cultural show in the Mayan village. Viewing could be challenging - because the show happens in the middle and folks are standing in the stairs, walkways etc. But absolutely worth it!
* It's long, but DO NOT miss the evening main show from 6-9pm. You will enjoy every bit of it. It's enticing. My 9 year old and 2 year old sat through the whole show without complaining.
