On two occasions l have been given medication that l didn't request. And each time the pharmacy has insisted that they only dispense what the Doctor has sent to them. This is quite worrying.

Although unable to book an appointment as fully booked, Lauren on reception was friendly and helpful giving advice. Also when I have visited, all Dr's and Nurses have been lovely!

My very elderly Father phoned up as he has a what appears to be a chest infection, and asked if he could have a home visit as he can barely walk.
Told "we don't do home visits" ring back tomorrow at 8.00.
Doctors who don't do home visits? Absolute joke.

I work with a fella whose wife is a GP and his wife worked all through lockdown seeing patients AND doing home visits.

Seems like Hollies Road want to get as many patients on their books as possible. They receive money from the Government for each patient on their books.
Gone are the days when GPs actually care about their patients more than how much they earn.

Just had a message saying they will no longer accept requests for prescriptions over the phone. They have to be done online or on a smart phone.

As most of the people requiring repeat prescriptions are elderly I should imagine this will cause them lots of problems.

It seems to me they want the least contact wirh actual people as possible. They continued with telephone consultations long after lockdown ended and seem to continuing in the same vein.

It’ll be even harder getting appointments or even getting through on the phone once all of the new houses are built around Lower Lane.
I’m sure they’ll be taking on lots of new patients
When they can’t even provide a decent service to their existing patients - but hey it’s all about making as much money as possible for doctors these days.

p.s. some of the positive reviews appear to have been written by acquaintances or possibly people in the medical centre themselves.

I've lived in Halewood for a while now and I don't think I've ever actually been able to get in, I'm sure everyone is lovely once you get there but usually its

"You can come in on a Thursday 2089."

I've usually ended up at the walk in.

Edit. I finally got through to someone and they weren't lovely.... the receptionist was rude as, it felt liked I'd personally done something to her. But guess what? I get to go the walk in

I have been with this practice for just over 2 years now. I would just like to say that the Receptionist Lauren is a breath of fresh air. She is so upbeat from the minute she answers your call. Really helps when you are sick and feel miserable. I can say that I have never experienced this from any other GP practice. GP's have always been very helpful too. Thank you.

Absolutely wonderful practice, all the Doctors are 100% and very welcoming every time I’ve been. Also, all reception staff are extremely helpful and friendly and always do their best to help. “Well Done”

I rung up the surgery on friday 2nd September as I am suffering from long Covid. I was really upset with myself as I was in so much pain and i spoke to a lovely receptionist called Sharon. She calmed me right down and put me at ease. I was then seen to by the doctor. All as i can say about this practise is i receive excellent service from the receptionists to the doctors, even though they have had a challenging time, they still manage to keep smiling.
