This place has potential.
1. It’s pricey, but I could deal with that if everything else is quality.
2. The amount of cream cheese they spread on a bagel is pitifully low, so I don’t see the value there.
3. The amount of seasoning on the bagels is mediocre at best. I once got an everything that seemed more like a plain.
4. I love the “ultimate breakfast sandwich” but there is always one ingredient missing or messed up.
With more attention to detail and a fair serving for customers, this place would thrive. They also serve La Colombe coffee, which I find reputable.

The service is good and fast. Only concern are the bagels here. Tasted of the bagels dough isn’t as good as you would expect. I ate many bagels In my life time but the dough use here is regular bread dough like the bread use at delis to serve sandwiches. Maybe this dough is cheaper then the one use for bagels but it makes a huge difference in tasted. Bagels tasted like a ordinary deli sandwich bread with cream cheese.
A big fan of the bagel scene here in NYC. The best I’ve had so far has been at Russ and Daughters. The selection is fresh and vibes are light and immaculate with an ode to the restaurant’s history. A big yes to their classic nova board (deconstructed lox bagel) and their potato latkes are fire! We also had to have their pumpernickel bagel with scallion cream cheese - simple but so satisfying. Waiting on our next visit.

Very cute cafe with very friendly staff. The staff are welcoming, and knowledgeable about celiac disease. I had the classic board with a gluten free everything bagel, and it was delicious. I could not even tell it was gluten free, the bagel was fluffy and had a great crunch. The portion sizes were not huge, but tasted great. The whitefish chowder was a surprisingly good soup. It is out of my comfort zone, but was very warm and they made it gluten free by not adding the matzo. Please check this place out! Hot coffee was fresh and had great presentation.
Amazing New York bagels! We went nearly everyday of our weeklong stay. Great experience and lovely friendly staff. Generous serves and such high quality food. We visited the cafe too which was a good experience, no real difference in cost on a bagel at both which was refreshing- we expected to pay more to sit in.

Fantastic! The pastrami smoked salmon is the most delicious smoked fish I have eaten. The distinct smoked salmon flavor intensifies as the fat warmed and melted in my mouth. It was such a treat! The surgeon was also great as was the bagels. There is so much cool stuff to try and eat that a returned visit is definitely needed.
This was the first NY bagel & lox we tried and it was just okay. We are used to Montreal style bagels and perhaps had a high expectation of the NYC bagel being absolutely revolutionary and it was just alright. Prices were high it was hard to imagine coming back for this experience.

Tried the thanksgiving sandwich and lenwich should not be operating if thats what they have to offer. Easily in the bottom 3 sandwiches of my whole life. Not the workers fault thats corporate or managements mess and it should be removed today. Thing was tasteless, dry and seemed cheaply made

The bagels are good, but the service I just received when going to pick up a seamless order was so unbelievably hostile as to why I’m giving it one star. Have never experienced anything like this in all my years living in NYC and having worked in the service industry myself.
I was looking for a nice NY Bagel so I went to Russ & Daughters which is an iconic Jewish bagel shop on the Lower East Side I got the Scallion Cream Cheese bagel toasted. There is also a wide variety of smoked and pickled fish and Jewish foods. The bagel was expensive $6 but it was well worth it the bagel was lightly toasted. The bagel was delicious and I was impressed with my experience.
Staff was very pleasant and easygoing, store was brightly lit and clean. Got the lox bagel with scallion cream cheese on a plain bagel. The toppings were fresh with a good amount of cream cheese and smoked salmon. Unfortunately, the bagel itself was dense, I prefer bagels that are fluffy and chewy and slightly sweet.
This place has the best smoked salmon! They slice it straight from a side of salmon right in front of you. The slices are paper thin and beautiful. For our family of 4, we get 1lb of the Scottish salmon (thinly sliced), bagels and cream cheese, all a la carte, and then assemble at home. So simple and so delicious. Be warned, this is a small space and usually crowded, but full of atmosphere.

Had a amazing bagel from here the other day, it was delicious, already craving for more. Breakfast bagels also really tasty.
Legendary spot for lox. Great people and great bagel sandwiches. We got the Classic and Fancy Delancey. The classic is of course cured salmon, onions and capers with cream cheese. The fancy is tuna, wasabi roe, cream cheese, and other assorted delights. Just incredible. This one is worth multiple visits!
This $17 (12/2023) bagel with lox was delish. The salmon basically melts in your mouth.

Classic bagel and lox… MUST TRY!!! Smoked salmon is nice and subtle - goes well with the onions, capers and tomato slice to brighten up the generous cream cheese. Did the everything bagel with chives cream cheese as recommended by our server.
Ordered also garlic with horseradish cream cheese… very good too! Extremely generous cream cheese especially the basic bagels vs the classic and lox.
Everything bagel with plain cheese was a bit one dimensional after trying other cream cheese spreads.

Would not recommend. Owner is extremely rude. I overheard talking down to an employee. Just look at how he responds to other people in the reviews. There are too many coffee shops in NYC for them to treat their customers and employees this way. Find another place. Overrated.
Not a ton of vegetarian options, but my partner had what he thought was the best lox on bagel ever. He had the pastrami cured salmon, and he is now a definitive fan. I had the everything whole wheat with horseradish cream cheese, tomatoes, capers, and onions. I am used to really good everything bagels, so my standard for flavor was high and this one seemed a little under seasoned to me. However, it was fresh and crunchy. I was hoping for a spicy horseradish cream cheese, but this wasn’t it. The sandwich was mildly horseradish flavored, and otherwise tangy and delicious with thinly sliced onions that didn’t overwhelm. We also had the beet shrub and cinnamon babka bun, which is comparable to a cinnamon roll and tasted good. The beet shrub had a distinct vinegar flavor that didn’t flow as well as I’d hoped, but it was refreshing.
Oh Tompkins Square have you either gone downhill or it was just a bad day. I brought my friend who was visiting from Scotland here because it used to be my favorite bagel in the city but was just not near my apartment. Sadly our experience has taken that title away. The everything bagels were cold, barely covered, and almost tasted stale. Her egg sandwich with turkey bacon which she requested extra crispy was sad, limp and barely filled. I had the weezer and the bacon was barely cooked and fatty so I had to remove it. The sausage was cold and the sandwich mostly flavorless. Honestly a very depressing moment. I probably won’t travel out of my way for this bagel again. Saying goodbye Tompkins Square.
This is a bagel and things restaurant. They offer fresh baked on-site bagels and all the accompaniments, fresh at the place. They have favorites such as liverwurst, whitefish, lox's, etc. they also have some nice desserts, ie coffee cakes, cookies, etc. Overall, this is a really nice place and provides a nice experience.
In my opinion, the staff took too long to take orders from the customers. However, the bagel I had was one of the best in the city.
Lenwich never disappoints and this branch is no exception.

LOVE their food BUT you should order online and pick it up. If you go, you will be on a line waiting forevermore. Their sandwiches are DELICIOUS and FRESH! They also make a pesto pasta that is to die for. Yummy!
My fav bagel place no denial (yes so much better than Brooklyn bagels)!! Always highly recommend their berry cream cheese (actually has fresh juicy berries) and tofu scallion artichoke spread (so so flavorful and garlicky)
The French toast bagel was crispy and not too sweet but I’d go for the cinnamon raisin next time! Their bagels are just so soft and crispy with the freshest cream cheese (+ very diverse flavors)

Absolutely delicious!! The bagels were scrumptious!! This was our first New York bagel experience and it did not disappoint. They take the orders pretty quick so watch out for that. The options were limitless. They also have sweets and other prepackaged foods and drinks as well. The shop was pretty small with no seating and it gets pretty packed. It’s all worth it!
The wait time may be long no matter when you order but it is definitely worth the wait. The sandwiches are amazing and you can customize it however you want.
Hands down best bagel in nyc! Super clean and open restaurant with friendly and efficient service. I got the Gluten free bagel and my mom got the regular and both were amazing. I was shocked at how good the gluten free one is, it’s nice and chewy unlike how some can be crumbly and dry. The goat cream cheese is crazy good and so is the lox. Definitely get some rugelach it’s also super good along with the chocolate “caviar” for dessert it’s very funny.

Delicious, fresh bagels. Huge selection of cream cheeses and soft bagels. Friendly staff. They close at 3pm so you have to catch them early. Not a fan of the stale muffins. (Pic of my blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Absolutely amazing!)
Love that they have so many vegan cream cheese options including tofu varieties as well as the new Stockeld Cream Cheeses. We went specifically to try the stockeld spread and loved how tangy it was! Highly recommend but do keep in mind the surcharge or cruelty free options like Stockeld and the tofu cream cheeses.

Horrible experience! Never going back. I waited 10 minutes in line, then another 10 minutes because Apple Pay wouldn’t work. The sandwhich was made and I said “I need to go to work can I take the sandwhich for my inconveniance” and the manager shrugged and said “it’s not my fault” and I had to leave starving without food, and with 20 min wasted from my day. Horrible.
Great location with fantastic service. The scallion cream cheese on an everything bagel was great. We forgot to ask for it toasted though. The strawberry licorice was good too and this is coming from someone who hates licorice
I've tried several bagel places in the area but this one is my favorite place. Wide range of bagels, cream cheeses, and pastries. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There's a seating area in the back, and they also do catering.
The food is delicious. The coffee is spectacular!

I could not recommend Inwood Bagels enough! I stayed in Inwood this past weekend and ordered these bagels every morning because of how delicious they were! I loved the non-dairy options, especially the tofu cinnamon walnut cream cheese. It was so delicious, especially when paired with the cinnamon raisin bagel! I will definitely be ordering from Inwood Bagels again the next time I'm in the area.

I’m happy that they have a vegan option. May they add more options for vegans/vegetarians. Maybe they’ll have vegan pastries one day. I love their vegan chickpea salad on a whole wheat bagel or whole wheat everything bagel- depending on my mood. The only thing is - they do cook the eggs on the same grill with the meats. The bagels are always fresh.
This dude who sells the bagels in the store is a scammer. He charged my wife 25 percents more than the menu shows and after I confronted him he started to shake and didn't know what to say. He tried to say the menu on the wall is not updated because he didn't know how to handle to situation. Please be aware of this guy , especially if you're tourists.

This has been a favorite and a good-to for me for over a decade now. I used to go here multiple times a week when I was a personal trainer at a private studio a few blocks away in 2011-2012 and I’ve long moved out of NYC but I make sure to swing by every time I visit. The coffee, bagels, and pastries are great. I even love their oatmeal and have tried to recreate it at home. Do not sleep on this tiny little gem nestled in the West Village

Very busy location on the east village location, the is big alot of seating inside and outside, staff is super friendly making jokes and all smiles making you feel welcomed. Appreciate the staff kindness and explanation of all sandwiches on the menu. Great coffee and breakfast. Can't wait to try the lunch menu. You guys rock

I got an Everything bagel with regular cream cheese and lox. My total was about 15 dollars. It does seem pricy but the bagel was packed with cream cheese and lox. The bagel itself was not super dense even though I asked for it to be toasted. The preparation was quick and the cashier was very nice.
Great Omelette for the price! Had their bacon, egg and cheese bagel and it was good as well. Friendly staff :)
The chicken Caesar wrap was really good - portion was hefty and the croutons were crunchy, not soggy. Service was pretty fast even though it was the lunch rush.

I come here quite often in the morning. $8 for double egg, meat and cheese bagel. Bagels are delicious and soft. I love the perfect amount of salt added on the everything bagel as it makes a perfect balance. Bacon and sausage are both good as well. Definitely recommend! Line can get busy on weekends! Order ahead
Worst bagel I’ve ever had. When you ask for a scooped out egg and cheese bagel with hot sauce, and they give your bagel a bath in it. If I wanted to eat pure hot sauce I would have asked for it. Overpriced and horrible, never will get a bagel here again.
Got the Grande on an everything wheat bagel… it was perfection. There was a good amount of pastrami and cheese, the honey mustard wasn’t overwhelming and the arugula tasted fresh. I’d love to come back soon.
The shop was flooded with crowds in Sunday afternoon, luckily the line moved pretty fast. They took my order when I was standing in the line, so I could pay at the cashier and grab my order right away. It took me awhile to fight for a single seat, but Tompkin's was definitely worth the price and the wait.

It was sandwiched with thick chorizo, bacons, cheddar cheese, egg and cream cheese of your choice. The cheese pull was phenomenal! The chorizo was superb too but I prefer it to be spicier. I'd say pairing The Weezer with everything bagel was a bit too salty tho.

This is a very cute cafe/coffee shop serving excellent coffee and an array of breakfast choices. I enjoyed an egg bowl of scrambled eggs with cheddar and bacon to accompany my cup of coffee. Everything was delicious. Very nice, friendly, and helpful staff, made me feel right at home.

Granted, the operating hours have been shortened from pre-Pandemic years. It would seem that most Lenwich locations now opt to have breakfast hours be the main focus. Nothing wrong with having staff leave earlier. I just miss the days of being able to grab a sandwich without worrying about closing time.
That being said, as a native New Yorker, I LOVE LENWICH! I always recommend chicken cutlet on a hero with light mayo, American cheese, tomato, lettuce, and a slice of dill pickle. Can't beat that for cravings. Even in today's economy, $14 isn't a bad price for a well prepared sandwich. Courteous staff see to it that fridges are stocked, tables are cleaned, and food is done properly. Highly recommended 👍.

So I love the vibes here! great little out door space for nice days and nice bright interior with very welcoming and friendly staff! They got excellent selection of warm cold and hot foods and we’ll finally to the reason it’s only 3* partly because I can’t do 3.4 but alas I only had the Gluten Free(GF)bagels so THIS is review for that only and although it was pretty decent though now the GF world of breads, bagels etc…. Has gotten more Sophisticated in evolution that it just can’t beat the best versions which are almost indistinguishable from the real thing…. And this fell short so hence the rating
Excellent bagels in a wide variety of flavors. Service is fast. My omelette was a little bland, but the bagel was great. Atmosphere is utilitarian, but if you're focusing on the food, then it's fine.
My coworker ordered couple of times catering from Lenwich. It’s healthy and delicious. Their pistachio short bread is amazing/cookie!
Living in NYC, I walk by one of the several Lenwich shops every so often. I have stopped in twice and have been pleasingly surprised each time. The sandwiches exceeded my expectations...this is NOT just another SUBWAY-type of sandwich place. Sandwiches were large and ingredients were very fresh.
I've always wanted to try Lenwich. I had the turkey egg, and I think spinish wrap. It wasn't what I expected it to be, maybe it was what I ordered. I also asked the cashier if someone can clean the table, but they all just ignored me. Other than that. The place itself was inviting, and smelled good. I will try something different the next time, but somewhere else.
Last meal in NYC… 🥲 and we didn’t have much time for it. Plus we had lots of luggage so I stayed in the lobby of the apprtment we rented while my wife went to Bagel Belly, around the corner… because how could we leave NYC without having a bagel? 😇

Came here for my lunch hour. Waited 23 minutes for my sandwich. I was order #92 the Lenwich on a roll. Well Order #99 who came in 10 minutes after me got the Lenwich on a ciabatta and he got his before me. Roll was dry sandwich was small and unmemorable. Actually it was memorable, I’ll remember not to come back here.

Never been to this place before, I was very hungry, and undecided and that’s when I decided to try this place! Didn’t know what to expect and I loved it! Would totally go back. Fantastic sandwich and for the city and how big the sandwich was I think the price is fine!
I was lucky enough to stay in a hotel very close to Lenwich. I entered with no big expectations for breakfast, had a bagel and a coffee. The bagel was good, not unforgettable, but the coffee was to me the best one I had in NYC. I love coffee and ai try it as much as possible and I can say that this one was my favorite for sure in the Big Apple! Don’t hesitate to go!
Tompkins makes the best bagels. Hands down. It makes me so mad I don't have access to them regularly back home in Texas. They are a MUST stop every time I am in the city. I think their sandwiches are unbeatable, and I love all the fun and interesting options they have to choose from. A plain bagel with shmear is also so great.
Pretty basic sandwich shop, they have a couple different sandwiches and two sizes for their sandwiches, regular and hero. Regular is ciabatta they also have wraps and salad for lunch. They have a pretty extensive breakfast menu that seems pretty good, but just like most New York they all their drinks are bottled. I got their steak and cheese sandwich. It was flavorful and I enjoyed it. The only thing was kind of off was their organization on how they keep orders in order, maybe review that a little, but other than that would try again.

Came around 1:30 in the afternoon and the line/wait wasn't too bad, but had a steady stream of customers still and plenty of seating for those who wish to eat there.
Definitely would go back now that I know how decent their sandwich is.

They have sandwiches and salads. Lot’s of varieties. A sandwich can run you $14. Not the best, but definitely better than subway. Great customer service. Plenty of tables for indoor dining. I’d recommend a sandwich from a near by deli. Limited street parking

Literally one of the best veggie sandwiches I’ve ever had! I switched out the honey mustard for the hummus and was able to get it made on gluten free bread. It was quite pricey though. $16 for JUST the sandwich and I’m pretty sure there was an upgrade for gluten free even though the gluten free bread is always way smaller than regular bread and possibly an up charge for the hummus.
I had CHICKAVO with ciabatta bread which was toasted. It tastes fresh and yummy. I just wanted a little more avocado in it. The shop is clean.
Since I didn’t have time to search for one of those authentic NYC breakfast carts, I thought this bagel spot would suffice. Upon arriving, the servers took my order quickly and I paid shortly after. However, I waited a while for my sandwich, and then the person in line behind me got their order first. I think there was an overall lack of organization.
It was pretty pricey for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. I think I spent close to $7! It tasted fine, but not good enough for what they charge. The shop itself is pretty cute though, with clean floors and tables. If they lower their prices, I may return.

The spicy chicken is flavorful and well seasoned. Comes with mozzarella, Tabasco, hot pepper, onions & lettuce. Would not recommend if you are unable to finish the whole sandwich. The sandwich will become soggy if left out for awhile due to the Tabasco.
Although the name of the sandwich is fun to say, Big Daddy, it was a big dry.
The sandwich originally comes with mozzarella, sweet onions, steak, Sriracha, red pepper & avocado. The sandwich I received had no Sriracha and no condiments. The meat was dry and no additional sauce or condiments. The sandwich heavy replied on the avocado to provide additional texture and moisture.
My recommendation is to place your order ahead of time via online or phone.

Been here numerous times and their sandwiches never disappoint. The staff has always been friendly. My favorite is the cheesesteak. Mm mm mmmm.
Had a quick dine-in breakfast here. Service wasn't particularly fast, but it wasn't slow and there were a fair number of people ordering carryout. I had a breakfast sandwich with some add-ons and oatmeal, both if which were fantastic. The seating area is clean and well-lit. Would come back again to try some of their lunch options!
First time ordering here since i was working nearby at a photoshoot location. The buffalo chicken sandwich is to popping in other words amazing. Perfect amount of spice. They are efficient i ordered for delivery and it was there within 20 minutes. It filled my boyfriend huge stomach to. Ordered 4 sandwiches and 2 bottle cokes and total bill was $65 including delivery tip. Reasonably priced and great size and flavor.
Stopped by here after seeing it last week during my very roundabout morning commute. Today, I had the best breakfast sandwich outside of my native South, the Buttermilk Biscuit with egg, actual cheddar cheese, and sausage. Big, hearty---excellent biscuit. I'm going to ask where they get them from next time I'm there or if they make them in-house. Loved, loved, loved it. Had a fresh pressed Cucumber Chill too, also good but an acquired taste methinks. UPDATE: returned a week later and had same biscuit but with bacon, ahhhh, bacon (my wife usu forbids it these days, shhhhh) and it was a again delicious, so they seem to be consistently good!
Simple and basic, but great bagel sandwiches for breakfast. I usually get the sausage, egg, and avocado combo which always works beautifully. I really like their sausage patties which are not too salty but perfect for the sandwich. Although the bagels aren’t the best in the city, they are always consistent and get the job done well.
I went to Bagel Boss at 7:00am. It was clean and of course uncrowded. They have a wide selection of bagels. The bagels had just come out of the oven so they were hot and soft and delicious. I got two plain with cream cheese and a cinnamon raisin with scallion cream cheese. So good. I'd definitely go back to Bagel Boss.

Absolutely excellent experience even from the outside window which the beautiful pastries and decorated muffins and cupcakes inticed me to walk in and caused me a double take and a mouth watering ever so delicious experience and then to walk in and receive such excellent , courteous service! I took pics to show my father who has worked as a baker all of his life what a magnificent bakery and good looking store..the brownies, danishes, coffee cakes and everything I purchased down to the red velvet cupcake absolutely delectable.. the varieties of bagels and toppings are definitely a heaven for bagels.. I am going back and I would recommend this place to anyone if your meeting up and want to have a bite .. bagels and coffee.. a date... A treat.. here is the place to go! this place lives up to their name Bagel Boss !

I used the ritual app to experience this place because it’s near my work place! I got the roast beef with Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato with the hero sandwich. Everything is good and there is a lots of filling on my sandwich. But I wish they could heat up my meat and cheese because I didn’t like it cold.
I had an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. There was less “everything” than I’m used to from other places and the bagel was ok.
Staff was friendly and kept my bagel on the side for me while I went to the restroom. Restroom walls and floor were dirty but the rest of it was ok. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.

Sunshine Salad! One of the tastiest salads I've ever had! There was Kale, quinoa, smoked turkey, beets, walnuts, blue cheese, corn and apple and honey balsamic dressing. Yes it all tastes as good as it sounds. Everything was fresh. Lots of space on the inside and this is probably the largest Lenwich location I've been to. Wait time is slim. They make your food right there and hand it to the cashier. Very fast indeed.
Been here a few times now and so far they have been very consistent. My sandwich tasted great and the staff are all so friendly! I also love that you order in one place, then pick up and pay in another!

Ultimately we had an egg bagel, a pumpernickel bagel, a plain bagel, a cinnamon raisin bagel and a blueberry bagel. All of them were excellent, not the best ever, but more than good enough!
