Top Apartment buildings in Oakland, United States

I give the Oak Village Apartments 4 out of 5 stars. It is a pretty decent place to live. The units & complex itself has a modern look & design to it. Its fairly quiet however some tenants & visitors can be a little busy from time to time.

There is security on the grounds & a laundry facility on site. Its great for daily walks. Also near 2elementary schools & a middle school.

There are a few liquor stores &/or markets 1 to 2 blocks away in either direction; unfortunately now; there isn't a major grocery store for just about 3 to 5 miles away ( which is as far as Fruitvale there is food Max. Emeryville has Pac n Save & Target. Grocery outlet & Target are on Broadway; the complex is not far from 3 parks located on 14th street Adeline and West St.

Fast food in the are are Kentucky Fried chicken, JJ Fish, Mc Donalds Pizza, coffee shop & Am Pm at the gas station.

Over all; I like my apartment & recommend if your looking for affordable housing; apply with the oak Village Apartments to see if you qualify.

the original review was about the previous managing team + building, who recently left around a month ago. the new management has been responding to my concerns/requests.

|original review| They don't respond to noise requests. They haven't fixed my ledger where it says I owe $14,000. I have asked them to fix it for 6 months. I told them it could make my credit score drop. I pay my rent and utilities on time. It was a $2000.00 balance from the previous renters when I moved in. Bums sleep in front of the building. Alcoholics hang out all day next door.
They ignore any and all requests usually, except maintenance requests.
I have video from home security of the excessive noise from 221 but they ignore it. Bags of garbage is left in the lobby until it starts to stink of rotten garbage.

A beautiful location and property the real relaxing

Management here needs to be replace to improve a friendly welcoming building. I wouldn’t recommend this place to seniors. They deserve a more caring environment. Terrible place to put seniors here. Find a different place. You’ll thank me.

This is just a gimmick to show upper management they respond otherwise the building manager is rude and obnoxious just there to collect salary. You know you don't give a damn about mine or other people's concern and/or openion. Why are you mean in person?

My son lives at the oak village.When he first moved in years ago , he really enjoyed it. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, and available! I work in the service industry so I know the importance of good customer service. The common areas were well maintained and management cared about their tenants.

Few years ago management changed at the oak village and they are no where near what the previous management was like. If u call the office they never pick up the the phone and if you have an issue it never gets resolved.

Great senior community, close to transportation, and also beautiful views of Lake Merrit, many restaurants and places to eat near by

My son, girlfriend just signed papers and did not receive a copy of the rental agreement and the key she has does not work for the apartment she was suppose to move in 12-28-15. I believe the the person the Roshiarra signed the agreement with Jennifer Jenn is not responding and the person who is suppose to be in the office at the Oak Village is not there. I will be reporting this to 7 On your Side.
