Reviews

I’m currently staying at the Warwick Hotel & our experience has been so negative & disappointing that I can’t even wait to check out to write a review. We’ve been using the same towels for 3 nights without them being changed even after asking 3 times. My husband was told they would bring them up by the second time we asked. We waited an hour and a half when I went to the lobby for the third time when I was told by the employee McKinley while throwing her hands up in the air that they don’t know when their truck is coming with the linens. That’s not what my husband was told earlier. By the way, the employee named McKinely, she must hate her job because her lack of customer service is very evident from the moment we were checked in. I walked up to her with a smile, said good evening & she brushed me off to another employee & every time I go up to the desk, she’s not attentive or shows any concern. I should have heeded the warnings of the previous reviews and it cost me an experience of a stay. I’ve been to La Quinta with much better customer service & warm welcoming atmosphere. Customers return because of the experience in customer service, not the comfy bed and the artwork. My reason for never coming back has a name, her name is McKinley. Never again will I come here. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.
Very nice hotel. Everything was clean and looked modern. The location was also top notch. It was just walking distance from the rittenhouse square/park and many shops and restaurants.

They have hotel parking right next to the hotel so you don't have to go that far to park, but they do charge per night.
Also a dog friendly hotel so that's a plus! 👍
Honestly disappointed with this hotel. Other than a great location and pretty hobby, this did not live up to a 4 star hotel nor worth the price. We loved that it was in downtown and accessible to a lot of things, walking distance, bike ride, subways..etc. but the rooms and very outdated. Room service was not up to par, did not clean well and also forgot to replenish our towels. Biggest disappointment is that it was not worth the price paid. To put on top of that, I purchased from an outside source which states that everything was paid for. Upon check in and checkout I was told that u did not have any additional fees, but a credit of $30 to use at the hotel. Now I look at my credit card bill and they charged me an additional $50+ after I already left and checked out and when I inquired they stated it was additional fees.. like what? So annoyed. 😑 Will not stay again.
This boutique hotel was very chic and a perfect creative mind escape. The decor was aesthetically pleasing. 3 restaurants (1- Breakfast Cafe, 1-main dining Steakhouse, 1-Mediterranean experience). All which looked amazing, however I came to Philly for the authentic Philadelphia cuisines and treats! Cleaning is on an every other day basis. Parking is Valet.
I received a discount on the room. It appears management doesn't care about the shoddy condition of the furniture. The toilet kept running. The price for parking overnight is $50 nightly. The concierge was nice. I could have stayed at the Holiday Inn, Best Western Plus or even the Extended Stay. I will not be back.
Presently staying at this hotel and I’m appalled at the experience. Firstly, check in is at 4pm, at the time of check in, I never got notified my room was ready nor received my key to check in. Secondly, when I got to my room, the room was filthy. My blankets and pillows were covered in red stains and crumbs were all over the tables. There was also no soap in the room, which I was confused about. On notifying the front desk, I was not really given much understanding; however, the bedding was changed fairly quickly. Still, no excuse for a 5 star hotel to not have clean sheets on the bed and crumbs elsewhere. There is a hole in the ceiling where a light fixture would have been before demonstrating exposed wires. Lastly, the room vibrates loudly when the shower is on. Overall, just a weird experience. One time I came back to my room door wide open with all my bags, electronics, and luggage open on display because housekeeping stepped away for a moment. I was upset at this because someone could have easily stolen my handbag close to the door. Turndown service was given on the first night, not the second. We were told we would get a fruit bowl, we never got it. This was a special occasion for us and the Ritz ruined it. Wish we stayed at our original hotel booked. The breakfast downstairs was also disgusting. I ordered Eggs Benedict and got a spicy dish and was advised that the chef made the recipe wrong recipe for the day. The food did not taste fresh in any capacity. Needless to say, I don’t complain much; however, this is defaults not acceptable and not the experience paid for for a 5 star hotel. Look elsewhere.
Cleanliness is amazing, the gym is great, overall I great place!! The overall feel is adequate or better than expected in a 4 star hotel. When I arrived there were no towels and only 1 coffee pod. I called front desk and in minutes I got towels and coffee. Also perplexed by the lack of top sheet. I would stay again but the attention to detail in room cleaning is lacking a bit.
I stayed here for New Year’s Eve 2023. I have a few complaints, the room was very cold overnight & the phone didn’t work. I had to go outside near the elevator to use the public phone for room service. From 10p to 10am, The thermometer did not work & cold air came out. Suddenly, at 10am on New Year’s Day it started to push heat out. The bluestone cafe downstairs had mouse droppings on the counter so we refused to sit & eat there. The parking lot is extremely small & even though they said it’s self parking, the attendant still have to park your car & take the key. Otherwise, the room was good, hotel was beautiful, room service is great.
Great location and good for pet owners because it is convenient to Rittenhouse Square and two pet stores. The rooms had an interesting decor. I took it to be reflective of a historical style for Philadelphia which would have been interesting, but I guess I expected a bit more beauty. The hotel was under construction when we arrived so I understand that it was not at its prime for critiquing. I would stay again for convenience.

We decided to book a suite to do a staycation and looking forward to the time spent with our children. The service from the hotel manager was exceptional as she provided us with complimentary upgrades and we were very appreciative. Unfortunately the room sanitation conditions did not met expectations of a hotel of this stature, location and price. I’ve sent email with provided photos and awaiting reply. Overall if you need to stay near the city and have local access it’s a good choice but for cleanliness at this time it’s unsatisfactory.
Nice rooms. Very helpful and attentive staff. Wonderful balcony view. We had a small gathering there and they provided extra silverware and dishes. Everyone there was friendly and helpful!
Receptionist & hotel parking personnel need training in hospitality. Failing to tell guest about IHG social hour. I found out from another guest. She mumbled when she speaks, I only heard 50% of what she said. Guests are here to unwind not to have to repeatedly ask "Pardoned me, what did you say". As for the hotel parking personnel, I asked her what is the 22% taxes entail, she just said "I don't know". I would've thought she would at least direct me to someone who can answer that. If I am paying a 22% taxes on parking, I would like to know what I am paying for. Also, if you are going to charge a 22% taxes, that should be listed in your price. 22% is rather unusual and high for taxes!! Other countries actually have school for hotel hospitality or at least have some sort of training. On top of that, the room have a damped smell to it. I didn't pointed that out because it was bearable.
We highly recommend this hotel for visitors to Philadelphia! The location and room are great especially if you are here for historical sites. Sam from the front desk is exceptional. He took care of the guests of this hotel really well. We visit many IHG properties every year, it’s not very often we see exceptional hospitality like that. Kudos to Sam and the breakfast restaurant staff.
We had a Wedding in Philly and the whole family stayed at the hotel.

First of all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. And the lobby is quite nice. I was very disappointed by receiving both our rooms. We arrived at the hotel a little after 1 pm upon check in there weren’t rooms available for us to use, also we had the 4 pm check in in mind; we waited a half and hour and our first room was ready. ( we went to check availability due to family arriving and was helped with a room upon check in) we had to wait for our 2nd room quite a long time only around 4 pm we were able to get checked in. My complaint is the fact that a lot of family members received their room upon check in and me and my husband that was there before them had to wait till 4 pm to be able to get ready. Having it in mind we have a wedding to get ready for and the bride and groom organized for the family to stay at the hotel.

For one night stay it was $325and I would say that the quality of the rooms are definitely not $325 a night standard. The shower had a very small stream and the shower curtain had mold on it. The dressers in the rooms are peeling off and look like they are very outdated ( with in mind that my husband and I stayed in a suite).
We stayed for 2 nights. The location is great. The room was terrible. Furniture is full of scratches. The tub had rust stains. The makeup mirror was broken. The tile in the bathroom looks dirty. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 9am. We left for the day at 9:30 and returned at 4. They never came back to clean our room. The destination fee is just plain robbery. I don't want junk food.
The hotel is very dirty. I switched 2 rooms and they were the same. There is no housekeeping with a vacuum cleaner.
Every door of any room has a 2 inch gap. You can head everything outside of your room. The pool is disgusting, hair, dirt filthy floor. The worst 2 nights. No sleep and feel dirty.
Never again.
Overall decent place. The bathroom was really big and nice. You had a shower and bathtub. We booked 2 twin beds but when we measured it, it was between a single and twin beds. It was kind of small. We called the front desk and they said our room had 2 queen beds which was very much not true. By the looks of it, it is clearly way too small to be a queen bed. The service was not that great. The location was in a very busy street.
Great location, however be wary of booking through 3rd party applications. Booked 3 rooms two weeks in advance, none of the rooms were reserved upon our arrival. Had to wait 6+ hours for our rooms to be provided. When our rooms were finally ready, one of the three rooms was provided to another guest and one of our guests had to purchase a room at a separate hotel. Overall, a sincerely awful experience and would recommend booking elsewhere if possible
Didn't like this hotel. Overpriced for location and the room/amenities. Parking is available at $50/night. Hallways look great but rooms could be better. They're far from main attractions and would recommend that you use indego bikes to move around.
What a great hotel, in the best location! The staff are spectacular and I mean it! Not a single person rude or even unpleasant in any way. In fact, what I especially took note of, is that the staff even said "please" and "thank you" to each other, which is a sign of respect for each other professionally! The valet attendants were also very pleasant! The room was clean and perfectly decorated for the historic district location. The historic sites are visible from many of the rooms and obviously walkable. The room was surprisingly quiet, considering the location and the bed is very comfortable. If anyone from Kimpton reads this, the only recommendation for the room is the shower needed a longer curtain to block splatter that made the floor treacherously slippery. That's an easy fix. We would come back here in a second! Highly recommend!
I would give this hotel one star because they overcharged me $395.90 and $10.80. I booked through Amex travel, a third-party service, and paid $439.88. I don't understand why they charged me again. When I called them twice, they were unable to explain the situation and informed me that I would have to wait 3-5 days to receive a refund. If I don't receive the refund, I plan to dispute the charges with my bank. Their lack of professionalism is disappointing.

“The hotel has a good location, but the room was quite old. We booked through Amex Travel and were supposed to receive a $100 credit. However, the credit was not applied to the bottle water bill, and I had to call to have it fixed. I also expected a room upgrade, but I wasn't sure if I received one because the room was very very small(I wouldn’t call that as a four star hotel at all). Additionally, the restaurant at the hotel is overpriced and the food is not tasty. When I ordered a burger, the meat was burned and had a bitter taste. I have stayed at some 2 or 3-star hotels that were much nicer than this one. This hotel should be classed as a 2 or 3 star hotel. It was a bad and small room almost like a motel room, very normal service, and is overpriced.”

Absolutely will not recommend to anyone reading this review. I got there at 11PM and paid $500 for a room. “Jelaine” the girl that works at the front desk sent me to a room that’s already occupied. She was extremely disrespectful and was not trying to assist. She told me to blame the hotel and there is nothing she can do to help me. As long as she works there I will not be returning to this hotel. STAY AWAY
Please understand that we were at an event located within the Ritz-Carlton. The Pink Room. This was a bucket list event that was overpriced There was no room for mingling. The decor looked like it was purchased from the dollar store. The good thing was we were able to make conversation with each other and the party we shared a table with.
Hi,

Just stayed at this hotel with my family of four for one night. We stayed here before and love the location. However, we booked the prepaid breakfast and were charged the entire breakfast. After calling many times, I was refunded for the partial amount of the breakfast, but still not the full amount. It is very difficult to get anyone on the phone to help me with this. I was told I would be called back a few times and never was.

The hotel is lovely (although the room a bit dusty) and would stay here again if they can correct the billing.
Just see for yourself. This is what I got even after asking for extra housekeeping.

No single bed is in acceptable condition for the 4 beds we ordered. There are even some stain and lots of holes in the comforter and cover.

The front desk is not helpful. Took more than one hour to get the manager. Even Priceline team could not reach the hotel.
Will definitely give 1 star and cancel the trip If not with the the manager Rosenberry. He is kind and helpful. The new room is still not in good condition but acceptable. Still many stains from aging. We waste almost half day dealing with the non-sense.
The room was very large with a seating area, king bed and large bath suite, (featuring Balmain toiletries). Unfortunately, it is starting to look aged. Hotel needs the renovation it is under going. Will be 5 stars once that's complete.
Had a very pleasant experience here, used my Amex Platinum FHR benefit and got credits to use for dining and other amenities. Complimentary room upgrade was nice, lobby and everything was decorated beautifully for Christmas as well !
Rooms are beautiful with Dyptique soaps and toiletries. Easy walk to Old City, Reading Market, Center City shops. Plus there is a champagne vending machine near the guest elevator bank.
Rooms are basic really. Nothing to be excited over. Pool area was dirty. It’s brown stuff around the edges of pool all the way around. Ceiling has a hole in one spot. Floor is pretty dirty. The pool flooring seemed like it was coming up. It didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel more like 3 honestly. The restaurant, lounge, and lobby bar had a nice layout. Only recommend staying here for the location & that’s it.
Great location! Many things nearby. Staff friendly and welcoming! Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
I went during Covid and because I just didn’t want to be cooped up in my home in Seattle. My stay back east was really pleasant here. The staff were friendly and had gone above and beyond to make sure things were ready for me. I sadly only took a snap which I will can not proved however the room was gorgeous and has my attention for any Philly trips in the future . This experience has me thinking it is time for another trip.
This was a quick business trip so I didn't get to enjoy the hotel/area as much as I would have liked. However, I was upgraded to a suite and it was so appreciated. The room is well thought out. Robes, slippers, shower cap, good lighting... These things aren't often found in hotels. The restaurant was excellent with exceptional service.
Great experience with the Loews for my wedding! I booked our rooms here along with a room block. Maria and Carolyn were super helpful and always responsive. I took one star away because I had to call three times the night before and morning of for chairs for getting ready with hair and makeup. Not a big deal in the grand scheme. Overall amazing experience!

Celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday in Philly and they were able to accommodate any request we had. Service was attentive and great from all staff, although front desk did miss our calls a couple of times. Location was convenient as well.
Two years in a row I had the pleasure of attending my job's holiday party at this fabulous place. I love watching how professional, courteous, friendly and well spoken the staff are outside of the entrance off of 19th Street AND once you enter the building. They are all standing strategically waiting to help you. You will NEVER see anyone standing blocking the entrance or looking lost at the entrance because the Staff is always right there welcoming you and ready to help you. Lastly my favorite part of this amazing building is one of the beautiful yet steep escalators. If you carefully glance above your head you'll see words scrolling along the ceiling with white lettering. It's not something you see everyday HOWEVER it's a BEAUTIFUL SIGHT. Make sure you continue to hold on while you're going up the escalator because it's steep. This place has become my newest favorite hotel in Philly!!
Booked this hotel specifically to experience the rooftop lounge. Unfortunately when I went to visit the rooftop bar it was closed for a private event. I really wish this was made more obvious on the website or when I had called to inquire about the rooftop lounge. It kind of ruined our experience. Outside of that, the hotel itself is beautiful and so well decorated. Staff is extremely friendly! The room was nice, but slightly dirty, the bathroom and towels in specific were not clean. Towels had stains on them. The location is terrific. We ate at the restaurant on-site (urban farmer) and did the steak tasting. The steaks were just “ok” , my date and I were not impressed on that front.

Mainly just wish we could have experienced the rooftop bar, as that was the main reason we went. Wish this could be made right.

The location is a highlight, situated conveniently close to City Hall and other attractions. That's why I give it an extra star. The room amenities fell short of expectations. All their 1-bed rooms lack hot tubs. The room's temperature control was also a problem, which you can also tell it from other comments. This is definitely not a problem you would expect in a hotel at this level. The furniture and facilities showed significant wear, and cleanliness was an issue; finding hairs in the provided bathrobe deterred me from using it. Another concern was the security aspect, as the door guard in my room was loosely attached, missing a screw. But the aspect that most affected my experience was the service. While most staff members were friendly and welcoming, a few exhibited a concerning lack of courtesy. Their indifference to basic interactions, such as greetings and acknowledgments, was disheartening. In a hospitality setting, consistent, respectful customer interaction is essential. Won't choose it for future stays.
Terrible rooms and terrible service! We had a large group blocked for a week (hundreds of us). Many of us were without heaters the first night. I called the engineer, he said the entire unit needed to be replaced and the day shift would take care of it. So I slept in my jacket with a beanie all night, showering in the morning was like stepping out of an alpine lake. The next day after work, I received a new room key and went up to move my stuff. They had fixed the heater, so I told the front desk that I no longer needed to switch rooms. They told me I couldn't switch and that they already had someone in my room, which was an obvious lie.

Someone said there was a rat in their room, and a few said the water heater didn't work. Tubs are falling through the ceiling with water damage. We were told no outside food in the lobby, conference rooms, etc, and they blamed it on "the union." They never informed us beforehand.

Many had switched hotels after the first night. The front desk team was incompetent, even with the most basic requests. Fire alarm went off at midnight and the evacuation was chaos, there was no communication from the staff to the guests at all - after one night in the cold room, and other out on the street, I'm suffering from a cold.

Some folks were repeatedly denied daily housekeeping, while others specifically rejected the service and it was still performed. One of our group members eventually started bringing his room trash to the front desk to make a point. My housekeeper came every day, she was kind and organized but it doesn't make up for the terrible experience.

Checking out was a nightmare. They won't email your invoice unless you ask for it. Only a manager is able to print out an itemized invoice. They wouldn't remove the taxes from the bill because I used "a different rate," yet I was booked under the same reservation block as everyone else.

All four star hotels these days are garbage, but this was a new low. Those that switched to the Kimpton and Hyatt nearby were much happier and had no complaints.
My very first time getting a massage and it was amazing!!!!! Came for a birthday massage gifted from a friend and just from time walk in the warm welcoming to the relaxation area to rest and wait for service put me right to sleep ☺️ Jenna was my therapist very sweet, informative and great hands I felt like I was on cloud 9 with her she definitely did a wonderful job. I will be back for sure 👍🏾 I would recommend a massage from this hotel 1000%
The AC is controlled by the entire building, not individual rooms! Maintenance staff told me that I couldn't even turn on my fan because the building was set to "heat." I like my room around 63° at night; instead, I had hot, stagnant, musty air. The tiny rooms are crammed with large, awkward, outdated furniture. The walls are paper thin. The full width mirrors in the tubs are creepy. Not every room has a shower. They charged us for ice at the bar when we ordered drinks. The gym is as awkward and small as the bedrooms. The ceiling is so low that you can't use the step machine. You can't Absolutely avoid this shoddy relic of a hotel.
I would have loved to have given all 5 stars but couldn't.
The staff was pleasant, the hotel itself?...Beautiful.
But the desk that my TV sat on had about 2 inches of dust on it.
I actually started experiencing allergies while staying there. I don't know if it was the dust, but it couldn't have helped.
The hotels restaurant food was only ok. It could have been better.
If we stay again I'd make sure to tell them to adequately dust my room.
The location is great, but the rooms sound insulation is mid to unbearable. The room had 3 not working lamps, a broken toilet, and broken tub. My sister’s room was similar, which was on a different floor and different floor plan. So if you like taking showers in your dirt, having your lights turn off and on and hearing literally everything then you have come to the right place.

Otherwise, great location, great staff, and comfy bed.
I had a phenomenal meal and even better service at Chez Colette. Our waiter, Christos, was absolutely amazing! They had three pages of drinks on the menu, but I couldn’t find one I liked. Christos asked me questions about my preferences and created the best drink I’ve every had. He did this for one of the other ladies with us also. His determination to meet our needs was above and beyond by any high standard. I will never forget Christos. The food was excellent also. Truffle fries!
Every time I visit Philly, which is probably 5 times per year, I stay at the Sofitel in Rittenhouse. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. We normally arrive early because we like to spend more time doing things in the city and they typically have our room available early or we have the ability to check our bags while they prepare our room. Valet is always super easy to be in and out and not have to deal with parking. The only thing is that I wish they had mini fridges on the room for times when I have food or other items that I need to keep cold. But overall the location is great and we have never had a bad stay.

I will miss The Bellevue as it closes it's doors for renovations. Spent Thanksgiving here for 6 years plus. The staff is ALWAYS on point and Eager to serve. The location is wonderful. When the doors reopen it will be newer and better. The Grand Dame of Broad street shall return better than ever!!
Really blown away from the kind and friendly service. Loved the layout of the hotel and the room - such beautiful decor and the location is unreal. Right across from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, it’s easy walking distance to lots of great spots in downtown. The valets were so friendly and kind even though we weren’t driving! They greeted us kindly every time we entered, held the door for us, and even offered to get our Uber car doors for us. I will absolutely stay here again in the future if I return to Philly! Photo is the view from our room
We spent 4 nights at the Kimpton Monaco in Philadelphia along with a large block of family and friends who traveled to attend my son's wedding to my new daughter-in-law. Most family members met at the Red Owl Tavern for breakfast. It was an exceptional experience! Special mention goes to Abby, Brie, Mathew and Samir! Lunch and happy hour were wonderful as well!
The front desk staff at the Kimpton Monaco was consistently helpful, friendly and professional. No one blinked an eye when I made requests. Kudos to Jada, as she was my "go to" person most of the time and she took very good care of my needs. EVERYONE was exceptional!
When I needed assistance with lack of hot water the first night, Tim from engineering was at my door quickly and he explained what needed to be done. He took care of it and the rest of our stay we got hot water when we needed it!
I emphatically recommend this iconic luxurious hotel in the heart of old town Philly!
I needed a room for Thanksgiving dinner and that was okay, had a nice time with the family. However, the service was trash with the exception of.two staff members. No one answered the phone when I called the front desk, the staff was on their cell phones most of the night and was not very attentive or eager to help me take my many bags to the room. The parking attendant assisted me with that. The location was fine but the rooms are a little outdated for the price and could be a little more cleaner. I had a great night's sleep, but the service from the staff would deter me from staying here again.
Older building and along with that expected issues. Room was small but clean. Everything in the bathroom was reasonable updated and as to be expected. Conference rooms, catered food and event support seemed to be really great. Location is decent close to Reading Terminal and fashion district and city hall but that being said. Homeless are still there and plentiful which makes it a little rough and eventful.
The only positive of this hotel is its location. However, the negatives of this hotel far outweigh that.
-Parking: no one expects parking to be cheap or even convenient in a major U.S. city; however, the parking garage for this hotel is located down a side alley. After circling the block following check in, we had to wait 20 minutes for the line of traffic also waiting to get into the garage. When we entered, the person who gave us our ticket was rude, almost as if we were bothering him.
-Check in: this was smooth; however, we were notified that the hotel recently instituted a destination fee of $17 per night, “within the last week.” If the hotel changed their fees prior to check in, this should have been communicated before we got here.
-Hotel upkeep: it is clear that this hotel hasn’t been refreshed in years. The furniture is tired, dated, and dirty.
-Room: our bed had one sheet and a comforter. Mind you, not even a top sheet. When we called the front desk, we had a stack of flat sheets delivered to our room after 10 PM. We were told to make the bed ourselves. The front desk was unhelpful and didn’t seem concerned that the bedding wasn’t adequate, nor clean. Also, it is clear that housekeeping does the almost bare minimum when cleaning between guests. The room was dusty, the bathtub dirty, and the sheets had hairs on them. Additionally, there was garbage from the previous guest still in the trash. The ac/heater didn’t turn on once. No matter what, it reverted to 72 degrees and to the automatic setting. These are not things that should happen in any hotel, let alone one that is supposedly a 4 star hotel.

Overall: for its “4 star” billing and price, this hotel was on par with a Super 8. For the cost, they should be ashamed.

ONLY STAY HERE IF YOU LIKE OUTDATED AND DIRTY SURROUNDINGS.
Stunning Hotel. I had a great time. The lobby is incredible. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. My room on the 19th floor was large and perfect. I ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant and both meals were delicious. Drinks at the hotel bar where good and strong. Hotel is right in the center of the city. Perfect location. Use your Amex Platinum card and get all sorts of additional perks. Looking forward to returning.
Very good experience, staff was excellent and pleasant. Although there were technical issues (codes for keys were not working) with check-in impressed with how staff managed situation without delaying my check in. Rooms were in keeping with the standard I expected, and were cleaned every day. Really enjoyed my stay there, would highly recommend and stay again

Was a great stay for a conference. Room was very large and had a full kitchen with Fullsize fridge which was very convenient when staying for a longer stay. Full size closets were nice to keep the room organized and put away. Plenty of fun restaurants attached as well that were great for food as well. Best part was still the friendly, helpful staff which helped make it such an awesome stay.
The location is unbeatable, right down town in walking distance of almost anything. Rooms are very clean and neat. Gorgeous bathrooms with good lighting. The gym is nice but pretty small, and it offers a spa at an additional cost (did not use it, but it looks very nice). Overall, I would definitely stay there again.
I travel to Philly several times yearly during football season to watch the Eagles play, so I’ve stayed in many hotels. My stay at Sofitel was by far the best experience I’ve received. As soon as we arrived, the valet crew was very welcoming and helpful. I arrived a couple hours before the 4 p.m. check-in and was allowed to check in early. The room was immaculate and up-to-date. Every time we left and came back, we were greeted by the valet crew and asked if we needed any suggestions on places to eat nearby. The in-house restaurant was excellent; we had drinks, and the waiter who sat us was amiable. We had a unique experience with a gentleman named Timothy, who works as a valet in the front of the hotel. We had gone to get a pizza from a nearby pizza spot, and upon returning, we realized that we had forgotten to get drinks. Timothy told us to eat, and he would bring the drinks to our room. The entire staff was great, but Timothy went above and beyond, and I’m a lifetime customer moving forward because of it. An overall great experience, and we’ll be back for sure.
This hotel is located in a very historic building. It's charming but definitely dated. Walking thru the hotel could feel like going thru a big maze. The queen room I was assigned was very spacious but it was very dark and dim, there wasn't any ceiling light or anything. There was no valet when I arrived. 3 out of 5.

I also went to the upstairs bar (XIX) for dining at one night. It was a bit jarring to navigate after the elevator but it's an absolutely a beautiful place. If you could snag a table by the windows you have this beautiful city view. The vibe is overall quiet and intimate. The drink was ok but the food (I tried the kimchi fried rice and wings) was overall disappointing. You could easily get food twice as good with much less of the price tag in the neighborhood. I was also annoyed by the fact that their receipt lacks a printed date and time and became a nightmare when trying to expense it back to my accounting. 3 out of 5.

I would look elsewhere if the rate is over 200.
Terrible experience here. The hotel feels haunted. I can’t believe they’re still renting out rooms in the bad condition it’s in during construction. Only one elevator was working for my entire stay, causing massive delays in getting downstairs. Bell hops were very rude and need to be trained in customer service and loyalty. I’ll try my best not to be back, even if it results in missing out on Hyatt points.
Completely understaffed. Arrived - no vallet for parking and no bellman. Carried own bags up to 15 floor. Room service consisted of meal coming in a brown bag as a take out order from their restaurant. Rooms were dated, noosey and ill furnished.

Definitely not worth the cost.
The rooms are clean but very dated. Carpeting in halls and rooms is coming apart at seams, lighting is yellowish and adds to the dated/depressing atmosphere. Ate breakfast in the restaurant XIX. Service was great, food was good, but again there was a lack of upkeep. I was seated at a window table, and the bottom pane of the window was shattered. I can't believe it hadn't been replaced or covered - was in full view not hidden behind a chair or curtain. A lot of posters in the lobby about the new vision but there was nothing on the website about future renovations. Location is perfect - walk to great restaurants, theater, and historic sites. If you're just looking for a room for the night, it's okay, but barely earns 3 stars and certainly not the 4.5 on other websites.
I had been to a party here. It is in the downtown. Great location, and there is a lot of bustling even in the night. Well lit area. Lots of nearby shopping places. I never stayed her during my visit here. So, I cannot comment on the rooms. But I guess service could ha e been better. No one knew where the party hall was and could not direct us correctly. But once we reached the party hall, it was amazingly big, nice decor, very upscale. I believe it had a crowd of 400.
The reason why I gave 4 stars was due to the worst experience I had for parking. First of all, there are no clear directions where the entrance to the parking garage is. Next, I have been here three times and always there is some construction going on, blocking direct entrance. You should know you need to get through small shady looking alley to get to the entrance. Next is the entrance, it is very narrow, and not suitable for big SUV's. I saw lot of them struggling to get and and let alone parking. The spaces are way too small. I definitely did not like it.
Honestly every time I stay here I wish I hadn’t. There was a dirty robe hanging in my bathroom with black hair on it when I got here. The lights in the room are so confusing and two of them didn’t work. Outlets aren’t where you want them to be. There’s no instructions on how to call down to the front desk .. the guest services button on the phone does absolutely nothing. There is extremely loud construction noise directly outside the window at 11:30pm even though it’s against the city’s noise ordinances and there doesn’t seem to be any sound proofing in the rooms. There’s no fridge in the room. I wish I had just stayed at the Sheraton.
Wow!!! The Four Seasons Philadelphia is literally the nicest, most amazing, property I have been to. They go above and beyond anything you could imagine with service. Every single employee we encountered during our stay was overly eager to help us, to greet us, and to just make our stay as comfortable as possible. The actual hotel is in mint condition, the decor is top notch. The restaurants and bars are trendy and hip. To navigate the elevators is a little tricky at first, it takes some getting used to but once you’ve got it, it’s easy. You have to go from the ground floor to the top floor 60th to the lobby and then enter the other elevators to go down to your room. When leaving your room, you have to go back to the top floor, and take a different elevator down to the ground floor. I assume this is for security purposes, so that no one who comes to the hotel just for dinner or drinks or just off the streets can access guest rooms. The rooms are immaculate. We upgraded to a corner suite with a sitting room and panoramic view of the city. It was breathtaking, vaulted ceilings, huge tub overlooking the city, huge walk-in shower, the bed was super comfortable. There is nothing I can say about the room that I would’ve changed. Bose speaker to play music while getting dressed, huge runway closet with full length mirrors along it. Needless to say I would absolutely return to the Four Seasons when traveling to Philadelphia again. Oh, and the location is perfect. It’s right in the heart of everything, nice restaurants, the Rocky Steps, the liberty bell, and many art museums. But the best part of all is the in door infinity pool that overlooks the entire city!! What an amazing view. You literally swim up to panoramic views from the 57th floor of the entire city while in the heated pool. Words cannot describe the experience. We enjoyed our stay!
I stayed here for three nights for a conference at Penn. Having attended Penn before, I knew that the area would be noisy and that most places would not be able to block out all of the noise, so I decided to take a chance on a hotel presumably dedicated to helping people study.

It had a lot of pros including being very clean/nice facilities, staff being responsive to preferences and requests, and the excellent room service from the wonderfully delicious Co-op restaurant that delivered delicious omelettes to me at 7AM-7:15AM as promised so that I could make my sessions in time. The bed was also extremely comfortable. The valet parking, though expensive like everywhere else, did their job reliably and well.

It isn't their fault that there was a gas leak and jackhammering until 10:20PM on Thursday night. Or that I am a light sleeper. The walls were slightly thinner than I liked, and I could lightly hear my neighbor's tv and sneeze, although I did not hear any noises after 8PM thankfully. The AC does make a loud noise to start (which woke me up), so I resorted to lowering the room temperature excessively before bed, and then turning off the cool function--keeping the fan on steadily all night, which worked beautifully. The one noise that I found to be extremely challenging was that the doors are extremely loud upon closing, so this would be heard anytime anyone in the hall closed their door.

The blackout curtain is behind the sheer one, and it is decent, but still leaves light around the edges, so remember your eye mask if you care.

Other attendees staying at the Inn at Penn (Hilton) and the Sheraton, said that their hotels were "ok," but from what I read there are facility issues and sound issues on those reviews.

If given a choice today, I would stay at the Study again due to their reliability.
The property is very nice. I came in to participate in a conf. Check-in was fantastic. Service was very good. There were a couple of issues with the room that, at the price point per night, should not have been present. The coffee station didn't have any cups and the coffee maker was filled with water from the previous guest. The front door wouldn't close all the way... it hung up a couple of inches from latching. Room service was OK, and was comparable in price to delivery services. Menu was a bit limited though.

It was rated as a 4 star hotel. What I experienced was rather mediocre. I must say that the parking in the garage was quoted at $60. So we chose street parking. It was raining and two blocks away. My choice(over 60 buck valet), but didn't help the experience. The heater in the room was capped at 77°, and I'm very sure it never got close to that. It was 50 outside and maybe 70 inside. Nice sleeping weather, but a bit uncomfortable to sit and eat. All the lights in the room are extremely bright, for a migraine sufferer(me) this was problematic. Lastly we got in at 11pm, and checkout was at 11am. Asked for late checkout and there was no availability. Even with a cost I would have really liked the option. As a daytime sleeper, being able to wake at 1pm would've made a huge difference. End of the day it was a roof over our head for the night. Front desk staff were attentive and pleasant.
Booked this super last minute for a weekend away, and couldn’t be happier. The price for a Saturday night was unbeatable based on location and amenities. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance, and I’ve stayed at equal hotels in the area that were much more expensive than this one. I read that check in was at 4pm, but we came around 2 to drop our bags and wander around for a bit, and were told our room was already ready! The woman at the front desk was awesome and super friendly. We had a corner king room, and it’s smaller but for two people it was absolutely fine.. the beds are comfy.. rooms are clean… and the pool was great. There’s a little bar out there, and plenty of lounge chairs and patio type furniture. I don’t recommend the bar downstairs because their cocktails were way too sweet and we couldn’t drink them, but this is easily our new favorite hotel in town.
A++ experience from the moment I pulled up to the moment I left. The views are worth the price of the stay alone. Every detail is outstanding and impeccable, from the flowers to the fitness center. The room, and the view are one of a kind. With all that being said, the best part of the stay by far was the service and kindness I received from the incredible people working there.

We loved our stay in our one bedroom suite. The location was great and walkable if you want to do the PMA and the Barnes foundation. It was convenient to restaurants and bars but not noisy. It was nice to have a big living room. The service at the desk was very nice and very helpful. We would be happy to stay here again on our next visit to Philly.
Front desk staff was amazing. Fast and super helpful.
The lobby area was very big and nice.
Starbucks in the lobby is a nice touch.
Bed was very comfortable.

The room was a bit moldy smelling. The exterior of the window had some nasty build up which looked like dirt or mold. The shower curtain was in desperate need of replacement and made showering unappealing.

Overall, for the price I probably wouldn’t return.
This location is more a really nice 4-star than a 5-star. If I were looking for an exceptional experience I would much rather prefer the W around the corner. The value for the price at this hotel isn't there.
Pros:
- Decent gym with full set of dumbbells but nothing notable
Cons:
- Cant fully adjust temperature in rooms, I wasn't able to turn on the heating during my late September stay because the hotel was still in "A/C mode"
- Rooms are not what you would expect at a hotel of this caliber/price
This is not the cleanest hotel that we have stayed at. There were yellow stains and blood stains on the sheets. We had to request for our sheets to be swapped out with 2 prompting phone calls to the front desk. We waited for an hr, then left the hotel and came back and realized the sheets were still not attended to. There were blood stains and mouth wash stains on the walls by the sink . The bathroom had rust and mold along the shower. In addition the breakfast buffet was not complimentary … $73 for 2 people. The elevator is also extremely slow. This hotel is not the best at being baby stroller friendly . They have an ancient claustrophobic tiny elevator that barely fit my baby and Husband. They also did not seem to enforce the limited noise curfew after a certain time. Not fun having to soothe a baby after other guests were roaming the halls in a loud manner after 11pm. Also there was not a hot tub or pool on site. Not the best experience but the location of the hotel was convenient.
Impressed from the moment I walked in the hotel! Quan and Lori S were incredibly hospitable. Got me checked in and into my room within minutes. The room is clean and smells amazing. I’m excited for the next two days. Lori even gave me a dinner recommendation! I wouldn’t dare stay anywhere else and this is my first time in Philly!
I have never stayed at a Delta Hotel by Marriott as of yet but my reservation is up and coming this week. I cannot tell you as of yet about the room and hotel details but I will when we cross that bridge (my rating is middle of the road only because I have not physically experienced the rooms)… but I usually like to call ahead of my reservation to gather some additional details about the location and hotel especially when I am traveling with my family. I called and spoke with ***Linda who was extremely professional and pleasant. I asked her to confirm the details for my reservation which was a premium rooms (2) high floors and she discovered that my reservation was not entered properly however, because she would not be onsite upon our arrival she was correcting it and leaving a note to her team so we did not have any issues when we got there. She told me the room numbers also.. she shared info about the hotel and also made a few suggestion for dining and things close by to do while waiting for check in. If this is the level of service we can expect I am certainly looking forward to our stay and just pray the rooms and beds align with Linda’s hospitality. Thank you Linda!!!
The hotel was clean and the staff was pleasant. However, it was just an average experience! The gate at the parking entrance did not accept the room cards. Every time we left the property, we had to call for service to open the gate. We reported the problem to the front desk, the lady apologized and “reactivated” our room cards. Well that didn’t help and other cars had the same problem! Why wouldn’t they just tell us the they were having problems with the system.
We were told by a housekeeping staff that they only clean the room every other unless we requested otherwise. Again, why wouldn’t they tell us that at check in, this is not usual in the industry. Then if they service rooms every 2days, why would they only give us 2 hand, bath and wash clothes for 2 people for 2 days. Every day, I had to call down to have additional towels brought up. The safe was locked when we arrived and had to have maintenance person come unload it. The housekeeping didn’t bother checking it and reporting it locked prior to our arrival. What if the prior guest left valuables in there? There were 2 complementary waters in the room, because they didn’t service the room everyday, we had to stop by desk and request more. On the 2nd evening, we were told they were out of bottle water and didn’t know when they would get more in. We booked the hotel 28 days in advance and were given a ADA room, because of the ADA accessibility, the bathroom sink was a pedestal sink with almost no room to set things on. We were told the hotel was sold out the first two nights so we just deal with it. Even on the coldest setting, the shower was VERY hot!! I had to allow my skin to slowly adjust to the temp. Before getting my head underneath.

Upon arrival at The Windsor, I was quickly greeted with a smile as the front desk associate began to help me check-in. I’m big on customer service so I was happy about that. While checking in, the deposit information was thoroughly explained to me again to make sure I was aware of the additional hold on the credit card. It’s the attention to the small details that I like because there’s no surprises and the whole process took about 5 minutes. Once I made it to my room I received a text message asking if I liked the service/room so far and I love that because it allows for the guest to address any concerns without having to immediately go back to the lobby. The room was very nice and clean and I loved the layout. I stayed in room 1412 with a king sized bed, a balcony view of the parkway and a separate living room. During my stay I wasn’t able to experience the pool but I hear it’s nice as well. Overall The Windsor is a great place to stay. Highly recommended!
My husband treated me to a wonderful birthday weekend in Philly and chose this hotel because of location and amenities. Upon arrival around 6 p.m. our room was not ready. Ordinarily, we would have had a drink a the bar while we waited, but it was closed for a private event. There was a wedding party also arriving so the lobby was chaos. When we did get into our room, the carpet was wet and the closet was locked. I didn't feel comfortable complaining because the staff was so busy. We were unable to utilize the coffee bar in the morning again because of the private event. The staff was very friendly and appeared to be handling the busy weekend to the best of their ability. I would advise calling ahead to ensure there are no private events booked during your stay. We were not able to utilize most amenities and spaces due to the wedding. I love love, but everyone who stays with the hotel should be able to use the advertised amenities. The room view was nice and museums, restaurants and shopping are all within walking distance.
Hotel staff are wonderful and go the extra mile to help. I had ordered an item online from Amazon while in the hotel. Unfortunately it got delivered after I checked out. One of the assistant managers, Carrie communicated with the shipping department and kept me posted over multiple days. Very impressed with her service.
Our room was nice, clean and modern. The big issue was the A/C unit would make a loud rattling sound every time it cycled on. It was so loud that it could wake you up out of a sound sleep at night. So for that reason only 3 stars.
We had a wonderful experience at the hotel.

We received an excellent and very friendly welcome from the staff.
Our room was spacious and clean. (We had a Junior Suite)

What we liked most was the excellent location of the hotel. We could see the Independnece Hall from our room. The complementary wine tasting was also great.

Valet parking was $72.28 (after tax), but we gladly paid that for the fact that everything worked out wonderfully.
I stay here frequently. The hotel has everything you need really. The beds large rooms very clean.

Where the hotel shines it comes down to their staff. Jessica at the front desk is wonderful! Pam and Sal the shuttle drivers go above and beyond for me every time! Can’t say greater things about either of them! I always feel like I’m returning home to a comfortable place when they pick me up at the airport.

This hotel is a really good value for your money. The restaurant has a delicious cheese steak! As someone who spends most nights of the week in a hotel, I look forward to my stays at the Delta!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My recent stay at the Four Seasons Philadelphia was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism that set the tone for our entire visit. The service here is truly exceptional.

The pool is an oasis of tranquility. The spa experience was incredibly relaxing, and the pool area provided a perfect escape from the bustling city. Clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed – it was the ultimate retreat.

I must commend the staff for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Leonard, in particular, was incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs. His dedication to ensuring our comfort was truly outstanding.

Whether you're here for business or leisure, the Four Seasons Philadelphia offers an impeccable experience. I can't recommend it enough, and I look forward to returning soon. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay unforgettable!
I selected this hotel based on other reviews and am happy I did. My room was clean and the decor is nice. The carpet did not appear to have been thoroughly vacuumed, but everything else was nice and clean. Dinner at the restaurant was good. I would definitely stay again when catching an early flight.
Check-in was very easy, the room was ready upon arrival. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The lobby was great, I found a fantastic book and enjoyed by tea in a comfy lounge chair.
My only gripe is that I forgot to put the DND tag on the door and was woken up at 8:30 am to a knock of staff asking to put the tag on the knob. I have never done that as I'm usually up and about before cleaning starts so maybe that's my ignorance. However, knocking at 8:30 on a Sunday seems a bit early.
The Four Seasons Philadelphia was excellent. My husband I enjoyed every minute. The location of the hotel is perfect close to many activities in the area and if you are coming in from train the Uber ride will 10 minutes or less. Inside the hotel is beautiful the decor fit perfectly for this hotel. For someone who love to swim the pool was amazing and the view from the pool was amazing as well. The room was great the bed was so comfortable and the shower was also great . The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service was great. The inspector in me saw a little bit of dust around the TV area but that to be expected for being around the TV . The employees seemed happy and friendly and so helpful they seemed like they really wanted you to enjoy your stay .The Four Seasons seems to know how to treat there employees because I believe they wouldn't work so hard to make your stay great if they didn't . This is the second Four seasons I stayed at and hope I can keep staying at others. Please bring Four seasons to Lancaster Pa I would love to work at a Four seasons . So if you looking for luxury, clean, great service and amazing food Stay at this Four Seasons
The food here was pretty good. The pic doesn't do it the most justice lol. But what really stood out was the amazing staff. This was my friend's and I first trip to Philly (all but one of us at least) and we made reservations online but didn't realize they were basically right at close. Parking was a nightmare in my friends big truck so some of us were late and it was rapidly approaching closing, but they waited on us and still served us. The server and staff were amazing and we had an excellent experience. It's very beautiful restaurant that we essentially had to ourselves. I can't emphasize enough how great the staff both servers and chefs were.
Great Hotel at a great location. I stayed while there was major construction going on so getting around was limited, however there are a few really good restaurants and bars nearby. The Hotel itself is very nice with modern and bright rooms. The staff is attentive and polite, everything you would want with a urban hotel.
Highly recommend. Nicole at the front desk in reservations is terrific. So kind and so helpful. The hotel is lucky to have her. I needed an extra hour before checkout and more toiletries which I had ran out of and she took care of both requests right away. She should be commended and recognized by management for going the extra distance to accommodate the hotel guest. Thank you, Nicole, you’re the best and that’s why I’ll keep coming back.
This hotel falls below standards of what I’d expect from the Ritz brand. The rooms are not as equipped and I had a hard time getting them to fix the hvac thermostat in my room. They don’t follow through with guest requests; I find that unacceptable. The valet service folks could be more friendly and courteous to guests. Gym could be more equipped and cleaner.
Quite a nice hotel for location and ambiance. Conference facility and associated support was great including food. General staff service struggled - breakfast was a bit chaotic at times: server seemed unhappy and asked us each to leave a tip when an included service change was specifically noted on the coupons we gave her. Several in group also had room tidy up issues. We had left the 'tidy up sign' on door but on return at 5PM both days we had to call front desk - 2nd day, despite calling, no one came. When I am on business, I appreciate my garbage can emptied, bath tidied and bed made. On departure, none among front desk staff asked about my stay nor wished us a pleasant onward journey, nor even looked me in the eye as they processed my incidentals. This is just a lack of basic politeness. So? Nice hotel but some staff could use a customer service reminder.
A very nice hotel located at University City in Philadelphia. The whole place is incredibly clean, and very well decorated. The room was big enough, and very comfortable, with a nice king-size bed and a very good bathroom and an incredible view of the city. Only con about the room is that it lacks a decent blackout curtain - by 7am the whole place was already all sunny. In general, a great to stay, at a walking distance from the subway and the train station.
This was my second stay at The Study at University City. Overall, my stay was comfortable, staff was accommodating and the restaurant was excellent.

My one complaint was regarding servicing the room. Upon arrival I read the notices placed on the bed stating that the sheets would only be changed after the fourth night of the stay but if you wanted them changed more frequently, place the card on the bed and they would be changed. Towels could be reused but if you wanted them replaced put them on the floor in the bathroom and they would be changed. My assumption was that my room would be tidied, trash emptied, beds made and that someone would come in to check and see if the card was on the bed or if there were towels on the floor.

On the first day of my stay after my first night, I returned to my room at 4:00 pm to find that the bed was unmade and the towels were still on the floor. I checked in with the desk and the room was attended to while I was at dinner. I was surprised to find the same scenarion when I returned to my room on the second day of my stay - bed unmade, trash not emptied for two days and towels on the floor. It was 8pm at night and I did not request service at that time. I did make a point to ask for service in my room when I went to the desk the next morning so it would be taken care of while I was out.

I expected that even though my room may not be fully cleaned or that the sheets would not be changed, my room would be looked in on daily as the notices in the room inferred. I will be happy to stay at The Study again in the future but will know to make prior arrangements to have my room attended to.
