Very beautiful gallery. It's interior is amazing and the staff is very kind. Highly recomended, but you must know that they start closing 45 minutes earlier.

It’s a very nice museum, filled with some unique artwork, isn’t the biggest museum. It’s got a very nice collection and it’s very nicely displayed. But it does have some very nice works of art, sculptures, paintings and statues to see. I really enjoyed my time here and if you like art I would definitely recommend checking out this museum.
Went on the first Sunday of the month which got us free entry to the gallery and the garden with Francesco Borromini’s forced perspective piece. The gallery itself is a work of art with painted scenes on the ceilings, wonderfully carved gilded tables, and other Baroque furniture. The gallery consists of only a few rooms full of paintings and some sculptures, and the garden; for us this was a perfect bite sized activity and isn’t far from other historic attractions.
Warning for everyone: apparently you need to print your tickets in your homes, even if you are staying in an hotel with a bed and a bathroom, because the lady at the desk claims to not be able to scan the code out of our phones. In fact, she very rudely told me I should've read everything before buying the tickets (even though I bought the ticket for Galleria Borghese for the same day and the ticket also said Stampa@casa and they simply scanned the phone) and then proceeded to go on a power trip with me and told me to send the ticket to their email where she magically was able to scan it. How they expect tourists to print the tickets, I have no ideia. The rudeness of the lady at the reception did not help, not sure if she thought she was above me simply because I'm young but I have never met someone so rude and condescending as the front lady of this galleria (I never acted rude to her, I think I uttered only about two sentences in the middle of her 3 minute power trip).
To the owners of the gallery: simply get a machine that scans tickets and hire people that actually want to be there. Thank you for a very bad experience. I didn't even want to go into the museum after the interaction at the desk but I did and thankfully the gallery was good as well as the kind woman upstairs on the Room I. We were on a Friday,they said it will be open tomorrow…went on the following day: closed again😀..but at least we could enter the garden area . The guards were very nice though even we could not experiance the army exhibition we came from Hungary. Never mind in Rome we act like romans so we wont be sad🙂😀❤️

Beautiful Andy Warhol exhibition! Small but extremely enjoyable! The staff was great and extremely friendly!
I don’t understand why it has such a low score, it feels that many people had other issues than actually visiting the place. (I’ve read some reviews, and, my conclusion is: if you see it’s closed, don’t go!)

Relatively expensive for Rome, but the gallery has a really huge collection of paintings. I fell in love with their Caravaggio and just this room is worth to purchase the ticket. The audio guide is a very nice idea, however I missed some comments about famous masters’ masterpieces. The ceiling is breathtaking in the paintings gallery and I really liked the gift shop. The biggest problem are the light (sometimes the reflexes on the paintings are too strong) and the placement of the paintings - you can’t really see the details because the paintings are way too high. I understand they are set as they were in the past, but it would be worth to put especially the most precious ones in the bottom line. The big advantage is that the gallery isn’t crowded at all and that they are open also on Monday when most of the galleries of Rome are closed.
10 euros for couple of rooms filled with photographs, not worth it
Such a beautiful building. We came here 2016 but it was not open. Seven years since but unfortunately it looks like they just opened. No clear instructions where to go, map to scan the rooms behind the door. There was a concert but not letting us take seats. Once opened after the Sound check, all seats reserved. Coffee place opened 10 minutes later and only after i insisted they made coffee but with a lot of resentment. I am still to embark on the expedition within the exhibition. The staff couldn't even say the hour 11 o clock in English when the concert begins.
It was a beautiful experience with some interesting pieces from know and not so well known artists. Beautiful 🤩 building, quite puzzling to navigate through the rooms. The lighting of the paintings 🖼️ was not that good so one couldn’t enjoy the art at its best.
One of the best modern and contemporary art museums I visited so far. The way the artworks are presented is really immersing you in the museum experience. Nice collection of paintings, sculptures and installations, also you can see artworks from famous artists such as Klimt, van Gogh, Kandinsky, Picasso, Cezanne and many others.
Overall I was really impressed by this museum, also not crowded, you could enjoy the artworks at your own pace.

A huge collection of art, in a beautiful setting. The Barberini palace is a spectacular work of art itself. Give yourself 2 hours at least to enjoy it.
This was the highlight to our trip to Rome. The highlight is the vestal virgin Tuccia, a marble statue carved in 1743, which is incredible. The transucent marble was carved so thin that the light shines through it like a veil. It cost 13 euros/person to enter the museum. The museum is on two floors and the staircases are wide, winding and long. There is an elevator if the climb is too much. Another fun feature is that the palm trees in the front yard had nesting parrots.

I world say this place is must see in Rome if you love art. The building its beautiful. Girolamo Capodiferro built this place in 1548 . Later cardinale Bernardino Spada bought this building in 1632. You can see on the first floor: 4 rooms, full of amazing piaces of art made by different artists like Guido Reni, Guercino, Prospero Fontana, Annibale Carraci, Tiziano, Parmigianino and many others. In the little garden there is a work of Perspactive by Borromini (just wonderful). People who work inside the building are super nice and polite. I can higly recommend this place, Im sure im gonna return!🥰
Don't miss this Palace and gallery. You need a lot of time to visit this gallery so start early as a vast collection of paintings and rooms. Jonathon Doria Pamphili has an enchanting voice in his audio guide.
I would not come here as the must see destination, but it allows for a nice stroll in the authentic early XVI century borroque palace once owned by Pope Urban VIII. A few Rafaels and Caravaggios to throw in. Huge staircases by Bernini. No audio guides. Ticket EUR 12 .
I went here on a school trip and the old man upstairs kept following me and the girls around and he even attempted to kiss one of them, when she denied he kissed her by the cheeks and couldn't stop hugging her. I overheard the rest of the girls saying he couldn't stop staring at them. Please do something, this is weird and inappropriate.

Such a pleasure to visit this museum. I came here for the sculptures. They were phenomenal, and some of the bests in the world. Make sure you have a guide / audio guide to explain what you are seeing. It helps a lot for you to truly appreciate the masterpieces.

We found this museum by accident, just walking by while on our visit to Rome. It's inexpensive and worth the stop. It also wasn't very busy when we went.

Lovely collection of art! Very palatable exhibits. The museum guide phone has somewhat limited information on a number of sculptures and paintings. However, very informative about those that are chosen. Worth 5 euros that we paid to rent.

Not a huge museum but still a big one. I didnt like the way they had those paintings hung up in the first room (see pic). You could hardly see the highest ones.

All the tickets are sold out, so every hour they let 13 people enter. It’s recommended to come early (8:00am) to avoid standing in the line too long. We arrived about that time and entered at 10:00am. There’s room to sit if you came with a companion and want to share the burden.

We took a pre-booked 2-hour English guided tour (Friday Sept 22 9:10). I wish I could remember her name because she was EXCELLENT. Short, middle-aged, dark-haired, super knowledgeable, passionate, with excellent communication skills. She navigated us through the museum to avoid crowds and to get optimal views. We learned so much and enjoyed our 2 hours to the utmost. It was our favorite in Rome.
This was by far the most stunning gallery I’ve ever been to. When we walked into the first room, my jaw literally dropped. You cannot capture just how magnificent, striking, and breathtaking the rooms are—and that’s just it, the rooms are entirely art. The walls, ceilings, trimmings are no ornate and spectacular, let alone all the actual pieces. When I come back to Rome, I will certainly return to this beautiful gallery!

This place is a little strange, in that the entrance isn’t obvious. It’s through the ticket office and you have to wait until they are ready for you, to let you into the gallery. There are also 2 floors to the gallery, but it’s also not very obvious. Once inside, what an incredible collection of art and architecture. The gardens are absolutely beautiful. So, calm and peaceful with lots of shade from the hot day.
Breathtaking! Get lost in the history of this place, feast your eyes on some amazing architecture, enjoy the numerous paintings and sculptures by various artists and don't forget to sit down in the beach chairs to look at the most formidable fresco! Worth every euro ❤️

Well that was a disappointment. No ICOM or student discount, everyone pays 16 eur. If you want an audioguide its 1.5 eur extra. I came around 9.15 when the gallery was already open and for at least half an hour there were cleaning ladies cleaning and vacuuming around the gallery causing noise which is very inappropriate in the gallery when one should enjoy in silence. Also, their tools laying around the masterpieces was not a nice view.
Even omitting this, I would still be dissapointed in the gallery itself. There is such a bad lightning that you can't see pictures properly which is unacceptable for a gallery.

I came here with my family, and we were positively surprised by the extraordinary variety of beautiful artworks of all kinds. Different drawings, sculptures, and other exhibition pieces are to be found in several rooms of the museum. Since we came on a weekday, it was pretty empty, and we didn't have any wait at the entry. We also visited the café and got good food and drinks for a fair price. The only small issue was that it was pretty hard to find a bathroom inside the museum since there weren't many signs that could've helped us find the way. Overall, we all really enjoyed the visit and would recommend it anytime.
VIAGGIO IN ITALIA XXI - La sguardo full’altro (Journey to Italy XXI The Gaze We Turn On The Other) is a group exhibition of eight artists, at Casa di Goethe Museum, on Via del Corso 18, in Rome. This exhibition is curated by Ludovico Pratesi. The Casa di Goethe Museum is established in the house where the German author Johann Wolfgang Goethe (1749-1832) had lived with a friend of his, painter Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Tischbein. Now it is used as a museum, the exhibition I visited was about the “journeys in the twenty-first century”. The director of Casa di Goethe, Gregor H. Lersch, says that the exhibition takes its inspiration from “Goethe’s Italian journey and addresses the question of what travel means in our own day and age.”

This is an essential gallery for art, history, sculpture, and Renaissance buffs! Inside you'll find an intimidating collection of sculptures by Bernini including two of his most famous. You'll also find a room filled with works of Carvaggio that provide a wonderful second hook to the museum. There are two floors of the museum, and expect to spend a couple of hours inside. Tickets sell out very easily so either reserve very early, but at a higher price from a reseller, or wait in line for last minute tickets. Those last minute tickets are brutal because they only allow 13 people in every hour.

This beautiful Museum consists of a total of twenty-two works of Artist Carlo bilotti, includes a substantial nucleus of paintings and sculptures by Giorgio de Chirico , representative of the most famous subjects produced by the artist between the end of the 1920s and the 1970s, therefore the portrait of Carlo Bilotti executed by American Larry Rivers , the portrait of Tina and Lisa Bilotti made in 1981 by the master of Pop ArtAndy Warhol , Gino Severini 's Summer and finally the great bronze Cardinal by Giacomo Manzù .

Beautiful architecture works on each part of this building. There was no wait for tickets on the weekday. This place can be filled up quickly with tourist buses. Amazing site to see in Rome very close to the train station only 900m. A ticket from the international airport is 14 euro.
We simply did not figure out, how to get in. No info at the gate nor website.
We didn’t pay to see the exhibition as the Caravaggio was on tour, also the Tudor paintings (Inc the Henry VIII) but we did walk around the grounds (you can walk out the back) and saw the back garden, some statues, and lots of bee plaque sculptures placed on columns and walls. Lovely building, and don’t miss the spiral staircase through a doorway on the right hand side as you go in the entrance. Costs nothing to check it all out.
Caught the ‘Time Is Out Of Joint’ exhibition, I didn’t quite get the thematic of the collection but overall it was impressive, some amazing contemporary sculpture, modernist paintings and historically significant works.

Such a lovely Gallery. The best way to spend time during a hot afternoon in Rome. Great atmosphere, a lot of artworks + not many people.
This was a beautiful galleria. It has spectacular original art, carved statues, luminescent arched ceilings, chandeliers, and so much more. It took me to that place in history when it once was like that. I imagined being dressed in a ornate gown of that era sipping on some tea and conversing with the other debutantes. It was a lovely experience. A taste of history, blessed with art, and every detail that lavishes the senses. It's worth a visit. I bought a ticket online and went closer to closing. It wasn't as busy then, so I really had the chance to take photos and indulge with my imagination. I highly recommend it. It is the most astonishing marvelous and truly unforgettable exhibit I have seen in many years. The palazzo delle esposizioni is a secret treasure in Rome. It's a huge space. Not to be missed. The restaurant downstairs is very good.
One of my favourite places in Rome. Absolutely stunning from inside, quite in the city-centre and not so crowded. They have audio guides in different language. However, the air conditioning is not really good. It is quite hot inside but it is totally worth it!
Goethe House in Rome, is a renowned cultural institution dedicated to promoting and preserving the legacy of the great German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. What a collection of beautifully displayed paintings and sculptures. Over two flours, lift to top floor if needed. Some very helpful staff. Lots of tours where if you listen closely you can garnish small bits of info! Book early as tickets are sold out quickly. Lots of extras in the gardens to enjoy.
Rome is full of historical places of high art, beautiful, ancient places. This beautiful 17th-century Baroque style Palazzo Barberini, which now houses a superb museum of old classical paintings, is simply magnificent. And this area of the city is incomparable. And it was here that one of the opening scenes and one of the very last scenes from the unforgettable legendary film "Roman Holiday" were filmed. It is there, in the lane in front of the elegant gate, that Joe Bradley and Anya say goodbye at the end.
Lovely little museum, lots to see and learn about Goethe. Worth visiting, especially if you have read The Italian Journey.
Great art gallery to visit. The wide range of mediums of art within the collection would have you thrilled. Additionally the layout of each exhibition space is quite easy to follow, with some of the rooms being an artwork to gaze upon itself.
We had originally intended to visit the Borghese Museum, but due to it being sold out, we decided to explore this museum instead. And we glad we did! The museum offers a delightful combination of sculptures and paintings, with a curating style that truly impressed us. The way the artworks were juxtaposed and presented was simply outstanding. We highly recommend this museum for anyone seeking an immersive and visually stunning experience. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!

Such a beautiful and amazing experience! Be sure to take the audio guide when you enter the gallery. We spent around 3 hours listening to all the explanations for all the paintings there. This is a place were we would visit again! Totally worth it!
Fabulous free activity if you're passing through. Stunning collection and exquisite building. Very cute kitty who greeted us outside and very friendly staff.
Nice art gallery with Carvaggios and other great works. A lot of interesting sculpture as well. Not crowded at all so you are able to enjoy the works at a leisurely pace. They have audio guides in several languages.

A fascinating journey through fashion, jewelry and life style of noble women of the early 20th century Rome. I loved it.
This is a great place to take a stop when visiting Villa Borghese. It is one room filled with intricate paintings that you could stare at for hours and not get bored. You can come here for free to sit down and relax.
Closed until January 8th, 2023. But judging by the other peoples comments, it seems they are never open. They only change the dates on the white sign on the gates that they are closed. They are even closed during tourist season. They could care less to show people the exhibits. Why not give it to people who are really enthuastic rather than hiding under the name of "museum". More like maousoleum. Shame on the ministry and the people representing this museum.
Francesco Borromini created a forced perspective optical illusion at Palazzo Spada. The diminishing rows of columns and a rising floor create the visual illusion of a gallery 37 meters long with a life-size sculpture at the end of the vista.
In reality, the gallery is only 8 meters long, and the sculpture 60 cm high, a third of the height of a man.

A small gallery, with predominantly baroque art. The palace has many architectural elements made by Borromini, but unfortunately they cannot be visited. It can be visited in about 30-45 minutes. The entry price is 5 euros.
If you are into modern art you should definitely visit this place. Of course, some exhibitions might not meet your expectations but it's really worth it.

It’s not my first time to visit the place but what keeps me coming back is their Small yet impressive collections of statues and paintings. Too bad, the room is still close where you can find Caravaggio’s work of art. The highlight is in the courtyard where you can find Borromini’s perspective that is amazingly impressive.
Wonderful museum; I just wish they'd remove the unattractive red circle piece of junk/ modern art from the lawn...it's an insult to the real art inside.
More a boutique museum centred on fashion in the 20th up to about 1980. Free entry. Educational if you are interested.

One of the best museums in rome I have been to. I went by and decided to go in on a whim and I am extremely glad I did. The T0 exibith was exactly the kind of thing I am into!
C'est un grand lieu de culture j'ai vécu en face du Palazzo je n avais que la rue a traverser pour monter les marchés et arriver chez moi a villa strohl fern. Mon Ami marcello avenali était le président du palais des beaux arts il vivait également a villa strohl fern et était un peintre et sculpteur célèbre. C est un endroit a ne pas manquer.

Although the staff I interacted with were helpful, I found this museum to be small and underwhelming. The collection was very small. The museum is included on the MIC card. Some parts of the museum are not taken care of and need to be restored. I would not visit again.
La Pinacoteca si trova nel complesso della Basilica di San Paolo fuori le mura, che incontriamo lungo la Via Ostiense a Roma, a solo due KM dalla “Piramide Cestia” e quindi fuori dalle “Mura Aureliane”.
La Pinacoteca è un’area espositiva permanente, vi sono custodite opere d’arte di notevole interesse, dipinti dal XIII al XIX secolo, da segnalare.
• La Vergine con Bambino e i Santi Benedetto, Paolo, Pietro e Giustina di Antoniazzo Romano (XV sec.) (L’opera è stata recentemente restaurata).
• Annunciazione Trittico con San Sebastiano, San Michele, San Rocco, San Pietro e San Paolo di Antoniazzo Romano (XV sec.) (L’opera è stata recentemente restaurata).
• La Flagellazione di Cristo di Bartolomeo Suardi detto il Bramantino (Milano 1465 ca. 1530 ca.)
• Assunzione della Madonna di Filippo Agricola (Roma 1795 – 1857)
• Crocifisso e S. Brigida (Cardi Ludovico detto il Cigoli 1559-1613)
• La celebre Bibbia Carolingia miniata (IX sec.)
• Varie incisioni che si sono salvate dell’incendio del 1823
• Pregevoli paramenti sacri, elaborati in oro
• Calici d’argento

Do you know the Goethe Haus in Roma? It's near from the Piazza del Popolo. Via del Corso 18. Casa di Goethe Museum. The German writer Johann Wolfgang Goethe(1749-1832) lived in Roma with his friend painter Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Tischbein in 1786 ~ 1788 for 2 years. Mid-thirties in his age Goethe traveled on foot in Italy from the north to the Sicily. Because he loved Rome and Italy. This small museum preserves his friend Tischbein's drawings and Goethe's books and letters. There's is his first novel The Sorrows of Young Werther. Also there's a big and beautiful drawing of him on the armchair looking over the Roma view. And a big portrait of him by Andy Warhol. It's an amazing that we're able to see those of Goethe belongings in Roma. Must visit if you're a fan of Goethe. Strongly recommended.
Great place to visit, beautiful views from rooftop terrace, incredibly interesting rooms and display of highly collectible and fascinating items throughout, friendly staff and free admission, very picturesque, would visit again, highly recommended!

A szkoda bo to jeden z naszych wielkich świętych.
Najpierw sam prześladował chrześcijan a potem w roku 64 lub 67 został ścięty w Rzymie.
Bazylika jest ogromna. Wejście jest z drugiej strony od stacji metra, nie prosto.
Tak więc aby wejść trzeba najpierw obejść tę bazylikę.

Nice small gem with a permanent collection of works by de Chirico as well as changing temporary exhibitions.
Place is still closed, despite Google and their website insisting it is open. May be nice inside but useless at this point.
Nice museum, however I found the best part of it was the decorated wall covered in shells that was unfortunately behind glass.

Small, nice museum about Goethe in the house where he stayed while in Rome during the years 1786-1788. Nice original details are to be seen, as well as the famous window where Goethe was depicted by Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Tischbein in 1787. Plenty of literature, also lighter books about Goethe in Italy for sale.
