Pretty cool. Just grab some stuff and go. Nice but minimal staff (one person). We bought some chips and a meal bar. Wild walking out and not explicitly paying....
I’ve tried to like Pret but in the last year I haven’t been able to finish what I get there. One extra star for donating the leftovers at the end of the day.
Went to pay for my item and the girl at the counter was way to busy on her phone to give me a total. I asked how much and she says $11 and to swip my card. Again still on her phone when I Said I am paying cash. Finally she had no choice but to put the phone down and handle the transaction. Workers should not be on the phone and should be attentive to the customers.
I ordered a flat white, which was supposed to be 12 oz, but what I received is this much (indicating a lesser amount). It’s ironic because the capacity of this cup is also 12 oz.
I like the menu, there you can find low calorie or vegan, good coffee, good atmosphere .
My office is located right around the corner. We have frequented this establishment for a few years and recently it has only gone downhill from the sarcasm of the new supervisor Spanish guy. He is rude condescending and shouldn’t be working for a company like Pret employees have no real oversight. What’s worse is the shorter heavyset Spanish girl she’s also rude and condescending and shouldn’t be working there I would definitely start going to other establishments even Starbucks before spending another dollar here

I was very underwhelmed $18 later for a half a tomato basil sandwich (with very little tomato) and a chicken soup with a very misleading name. Very nice staff who didn't mention I get a complimentary topper with my soup. I didn't stay to eat but the dining room did look clean and inviting. Writing this for someone who may be thinking about trying Pret for the first time... I'd go somewhere else for a better meal/bargain.
We stopped here because it started pouring rain out of nowhere, and unfortunately, we did not have any ponchos. We just grabbed a few drinks and some coffee, waiting to see if the rain would die down. It continued to stay pretty steady, so we went next door and were able to grab some ponchos. The place was pretty busy when we first got there, so there was nowhere to sit. As it started to empty out a bit, though, we were able to grab a spot up front. We stayed here for about 20 minutes, then got back on the road. The service was nice, and everyone was taken care of quickly. There are also snacks in case you want to grab something quick to eat.
The skinny black girl working in the front had terrible customer service. She is mean to the customer and no patient when you try to order the food. She always has the bad attitude when you try to order the food. Other employees are great over there.
I’ve been coming here regularly and every time, I leave with a bitter taste in my mouth. The staff here are extremely rude, not one bit friendly. The guy threw the change at me, never said thank you or goodbye. EVERYTIME I come here it’s always the same attitude. I only come because I like the coffee but after this time there’s no way I’ll be going back. Should be taught a course on how to be nice to people or get a job where you don’t interact with any.
The sign on their door says they close at 7.30 pm on weekdays. I reached at 7.25 pm and they had already locked the entrance from inside. I knocked on the glass door and the guy inside, who was cleaning, heard me but pretended that he could not. I then walked around and knocked on the window. He was embarrassed to see me again and signaled "closed". I showed him the time on my phone that showed 7.26pm so he pointed me to the lady at the cash register. When i looked at her, she too said we are closed, and went inside in the kitchen area like she didn't care. Horrible service!!
A very apathetic service. I don't request a smile but when you tell me there are two tables already folded for no earthly reason while other two are not and i have to "wait for someone to get up" when clearly someone's just sitting there NOT EVEN ordering food -- you should unfold the tables and let me sit.

Most of the time we visit there this store a 48 street and these guys are not welcoming as if they are doing some favor on us by giving us coffee for money. many times we get drink served in burnt condition. when we ask for utensil they make faces.. however if you visit other pret on 46 street they are best in every aspect....
Got a hot latte from here, it was burned and tasted very bad from here. The workers are most of the time rude also.

By far the nicest and best run Pret in the area. Staff are very helpful, very customer focused and they keep their store spotlessly clean. When I pre-order my coffee on the app, they greet me by my first name. Small things that go a long way.
Prices are great for NY and I can go in grab something and leave with no hassles. It’s kinda creepy how it just knows what you walk out with, but it sure makes it easy to get in and out of there.

Sandwich shop “Pret A Manger” offers a wide variety of fresh and healthy sandwiches. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend stopping by for a tasty sandwich.

Pret used to have another location (pre-pandemic) on the other side of Bryant Park. Unsure if it's because their corporate office was located within, but service was ALWAYS excellent there and employees have always been friendly. I loved going there and the energy was really good and positive. At this location, however, I was very disappointed today. The employee taking my order left out part of my order and the individual along with two other employees made it seem like it was my fault, even though I repeated my order twice and it wasn't even confusing! No problem, I'm happy to seperately pay for the item missed because it happens! Next, I was handed 3 of the bakery items and two hot coffees at once and I mixed up the drinks because they weren't labeled and I was also holding onto each of the bakery items (3 bags which honestly should have just been put into 1 shopping bag considering I can't hold everything with my two hands). When I asked the employee that I mixed up the drinks and was unsure which was decaf, I was given a HUGE attitude. From ordering to being handed my order, everything was very chaotic and the employees made it seem like it was all my fault. Also, the hot coffee was so cold, I had to throw it out. I couldn't go back to have it warmed up because the employees were already so rude, I did not want to make the situation worse. I hate to leave such a negative review but it seems like Pret's customer service and quality has decreased overall as service hasn't been too great lately at other locations too.
Just stopped at Pret - they were super busy, but still took the time to look up allergy information for me and were so kind and professional. The interaction I had with the awesome employees here genuinely made my day better. Thanks so much for your hard work!

I visited this location on 9/9/23 and visited the shop twice at around 1:30pm and 4:00pm. Terrible experience both times. The food was very good, but there was barely any variety when it came to a selection of food when I visited around 1:30. But what really made the experience terrible was the female cashier. She was so rude and unfriendly on both visits. When I came into the store at 4:00pm both employees did not tell me they were closed. So I buy food to sit down and eat it and then they proceed to tell me the store Is closed. ??? On top of the fact that it was already raining outside. When I explain to the female employee that it would have been helpful if she had told me they were closed before I brought the food she proceeds to tell me “oh well”. She was very Unprofessional, sarcastic, and rude both times I visited and acted like she didn’t like her job. Terrible experience. I asked for a refund and the male employee was nice enough to refund me but a little communication could have avoided all this.

Sandwiches are misplaced. You may need to open a sandwich before purchasing as supposedly a vegetarian sandwich had chicken in it. Not a pleasant surprise.
I’ve been here multiple times on the way to work in the morning and no one answers the bell or comes to do amazon returns. It’s really unprofessional, and if I do wait 10-15 minutes someone comes out from the back so they were there the whole time. I usually have to come back after work after wasting my time to begin with.
Visited here while I stopped by NYC. Love the city and this place looked like a nice small chain shop. Really nice sandwiches, kinda like a Panera (but better) vibe type of place.

Walked in and was immediately greeted by Shawn, the service was great. The latte and parfait was amazing, they have a really small seating space but it gives a nice view for people watching while you enjoy your coffee.

Disappointed. Not only is it the worst bagel, egg & cheese I've had in NYC, but also among the most expensive. Coffee is bitter and burnt. Staff was nice, but obviously dropping the ball on the quality of very easy to make breakfast items. 8am on a Tuesday.
Does new smoked salmon sandwich worth 12$? NO. The bun is wet. Soaked from cream cheese and veggies. Better to buy freshly made one in a bagel place
I order the same coffee drink from every Pret I goto. This is the only Pret that makes my coffee wrong every time. Im not entirely sure why. I still drink it, i just dont enjoy it as much. Oh well.

Had a quick take away meal during lunch break. The line was long and moving slow, the food was below average, but still healthy and better that alternatives in this area of NY. Price rather high, but expected. Would not go there again, cause in my opinion it's not worth it.
9/10/23: Warning: New management, hires new staff, quality and customer service has gone down hill. I will give this branch a pass for a few months. I am sure that the company will fix this. In the past I encouraged my staff to go here because Pret gives food to the poor. I would not be surprised if this branch could care less about the poor because they do not care about regular customers.
I’ve been coming here every morning for the past two months, and the employee Brandon is sharp, smart, and always provides the best service. His approach to customer service is unparalleled. Jonathan is great as well, good team here.
Pret's just value for money, especially compared to Starbucks. Free oat milk subs and their savoury food is healthy and tasty.
I was picking up my coffee order just now, and these two lovely ladies opening the shop this morning offered a cup of hot coffee to a homeless guy outside their shop. This absolutely brightened my day and made me love them (who’ve always been super nice to me to begin with!) even more. Kindness goes a long way. I’ll be going to this location all the time.

technology is so crazy! this place is great if you want to very quickly get a snack. but just be warned the selection is roughly the same as a gas station. I was hoping it would have some toiletries but it only carries snacks, some packaged food, and boxed food. be warned if you need customer help or to return an item, there is not usually any workers here, so this is not the place for returns. but it’s great as a super quick snack or bite !
The worst service I ever hd in my life. My coffee got taken by someone else TWICE and when I tried to explain the case, the staff got mad and blame me instead. Will never buy anything at this place ever again.
I agree with a lot of the comments below, they tend to open late and when they are open the breakfast sandwiches aren't ready. Majority of the staff is nice but I agree with the below, there is some that are super moody. I got almond milk in my coffee when I asked for regular, I asked said a few times I didn't ask for almond milk and she just ignored me and shes quite snappy with other customers. One MAJOR thing I cant get over is the price increase is HUGE!!! To get a croissant alone is over $5! $3 something used to be bad enough.
I had to wait 10 minutes just for a store associate to show up. It was 2 p.m. in the afternoon on Monday, July 10th and when an associate finally did show up, she was not helpful. She was disinterested in her job as she refused to help me when I had difficulty accessing the return code on my phone for a product I wanted to send back. This store needs to be staffed during the hours it says it's open and staff who are better trained in customer service who actually care about customers. The girl pictured here needs better training in helping out customers and if she has an I-don't-care attitude, she shouldn't be serving the public.
Tried to drop off a return and this is what I see. I waited and waited no one showed up! Amazon drop off used to be easy here but now it’s not staffed well.
Food and coffee were good, as you would expect from all PRET. However two ladies at the cashier/making coffee were terrible, extremely rude!! Id rather choose somewhere else to get my food next time.
The staff here were so nice and attentive it almost seemed like they were racing to see who could help me. Such great service, with a smile that seemed genuine from all the staff.

Today, 5.25.2023, the lady who did my coffee this morning was very moody. I asked her to fill my cup with more coffee because it was way too light. She had the audacity to tell me Not to come back again! Hello I not getting my food for free here! And who is she to tell me what to do. You know I like my coffee a certain way.
I accidentally spilled my coffee and the staff was super friendly and prompt in cleaning it up and giving me a replacement coffee! Shout out to Tai and Michelle for that. Also Tai helped in getting me water. Even patrons (traffic police that were here at the time were helpful in getting me help :) )

The employees are great as is the food at a reasonable price, but three stars because they don’t ever open on time. When they do rarely open on time they never have any of the food out for breakfast. They are typically open closer to 7:00AM.
Killer oat cappuccino! It's super creamy, yet bold! Jennifer is a rockstar barista, making drinks with perfect consistency, even during the insane morning rush! I look forward to mornings only for this reason! Easily 5 stars!
Great for a quick bite. Items are prepared fresh. Had the Bang Bang Chicken wrap with Organic Green Tea as a beverage. Very tasty. The wrap Sweet chili mayo and Asian dressing drizzled over grilled chicken, with shredded carrots & daikon radishes, cucumber and red onions, rolled into a whole grain tortilla wrap.
The perfect cup of coffee in a comfortable space with a great view of Bryant Park. The staff are always nice & It’s my favorite Pret location. Thank you all . ☕️
I had a coffee and hot chocolate for my friend. Very spacious place and we were easy to relax after touring Brian Park anf NYPL. Toilets are available with password.
What a cool store that has food options (breakfast, lunch sushi, dinner chicken Tikka masala, and much more) that change from time to time. Super reasonable prices that are warm or cold. Starbucks coffee and other espresso options are available too. Don't worry about waiting in lile to pay for your stuff there is no cashier. They have cameras and technology that lets you walk out and it charges your Amazon account.

There's fresh deli food and ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT JUICE. The strawberry lemonade is amazing. I ordered an iced mocha with regular milk and it was hands down the best mocha of my life. I ordered a second one and told the barista the mocha was amazing and he offered to put in some vanilla syrup to make it even better. Honestly the atmosphere is super chill and nice and the people were so friendly! They also have pick up services
I stopped in at around 1:30 pm on a weekday after my trip to The Strand. They were not terribly busy at this time. I really enjoyed my food, an egg sandwich and veggie harvest soup. There were plenty of options for vegetarian folk, which was great for me. The prices are not too high. Staff were friendly. Establishment was mostly clean, there were a few dirty tables but nothing too serious. They do have outlets available by tables if you are in need of them. I would return here again if given the chance.
Needed a super quick lunch before a 2pm show - lines at Cava and other assembly line type places had lines out the door and Pret came through in the clutch!! Delicious premade wraps in the heart of Times Square.
Love the food and convenience. Most of the employees are nice. One was just straight up rude. After getting my food, I went to the front to sit at the window. The employee then said something to the effect of ‘hello, please don’t sit here, I’m cleaning here.’ To be fair, when I walked up, they were cleaning by the garbage and not the tables. I did notice the tables were pulled out a bit, but assumed that was from a previous customer. I apologized, said I didn’t see a sign, and walked away. Then I heard him saying, loudly but to himself, ‘why would you sit somewhere where the table is pulled out! Can you not see I’m cleaning!’ Not sure if they are having a bad day or what, but it felt very unwelcoming and rude.

I came into this pret and scanned a item to download it, I walked over to sit down while looking at the app the guy who works there says to me “ you cannot charge your phone” I felt racially profiled because I was never charging my phone I sat down pulled out my credit card and began scanning the menu. A white lady who was next to me said well what’s the issue even if u was and I saw that u was scanning the menu. Maybe because I was black but I feel like these workers need to be more curtious on what they say to people instead of assuming someone’s charging the phone and not buying food. I will not be purchasing anything from here ever again.

The Krispy Kreme donuts are delicious, as well as the bagels and fresh cream cheese. They also have these amazing cookies that are kinda pricey but so worth it. I love the sugar cookie the best but the raisin oatmeal is good too. The fountain soda is a great price as well and they have many other breakfast and lunch options as well.

If you are going for a coffee or for desserts this is the spot to go. The chai tea latte during cold weather is better than other food chains. Also their almond croissants are fabulous! The sandwiches not so much they are just as regular as anywhere else.
Pret is an absolute go to for balanced, grab and go meals throughout the day. Their espresso is fantastic, and the wraps/salads are really well balanced.

The staff and manager are extremely rude. I ordered lunch 2 weeks ago for a staff meeting and lost the receipt. I went back to get a copy and they they said no before even looking at the computer. The manager then tapped a few buttons and said they can only do the last 5 days and maybe I shouldn’t have lost my receipt. Calling the Customer service number and all the extensions are out of service. Never again.
This location is really easy to find! The place is clean and hygiene. The service was good! I ordered cold coffee since i was trying it for the first time, so went for the classic and it did taste well! Classic coffee was satisfied with service and place. I have had better coffee but No complaints. I saw more stuff there but not big fan of refrigerated food so. But definitely Recommend.

One of the worst coffee/sandwich shops I have ever been. The other staff are fine, but there is a special one that is extremely rude, obnoxious, and unprofessional. She makes wrong coffees and yells at the customers. However, I can stand all these misbehaving considering the $30 subscription is a decent deal.
But today, she did one thing that disappointed me so much. She intentionally lied about the Pret subscription policy, and I can’t stand her deception. She represents Pret the company when she is working. The black sheep is hurting Pret’s brand image, and I can’t believe the company is not taking any actions.

AMAZON GO is a high tech futuristic convenience store powered by Jeff Bezos. Never question why their shares are the highest in the market. Upon arrival, scan your application/palm or insert your cc and shop. Nobody checked our temperatures or followed you to find out if everything was going well. Snacks, water bottles and coffee makers were prominently displayed. The entire store was equipped with sensors and cameras to monitor each movement. No tellers on the way out. Instead, you will get a pending transaction when you leave. Kudos to Amazon for developing an algorithmic activation that could ally even more during this period of autonomy. That will certainly enhance the experience of the overcrowded airport.

I was excited thinking for $20 (sandwich plus taxes) this was loaded since the have all the meat poking out the edges. I mean a lobster roll can be $20. But this was more bread and lettuce than anything else. Do you know how disappointing it is to back to my desk and open it up to find this. Never again.
This is a convenience store, similar to a 7-11 store. The difference between this store and a regular convenience store is that after you down load an app and put your credit card number in you don't have to stop at the cashier. In fact there are no cashiers. You just get the items you want, put them in a bag and leave.

Amazon Go rethinks the notion of the convenience store in a number of ways beyond the digital checkout concept. They seem to stock the right mix of "quick grab" items without wasting shelf space on lower turnover stuff. In addition to the usual packaged snack and drink options, the Go stores I've visited have a range of prepared items such as sandwiches, cheeses, yogurts, etc. Always a good and convenient experience. This is actually the store at 53rd and Lexington.

Most of the workers are really nice, you can tell they work hard, but there’s always that one guythis is the third time I’ve gotten chocolate and it’s straight up petrified. Like it’s from an old case in the back. My drinks weren’t really filled and one is more milk than anything else.
Very convenient location int the heart of the city. Quick grab and go. I liked that they have all what you need for lunches. Microwave and utensils are at spot. Some items are very cheap.

I went to return an item and the manager was super cool about the return. He gets four stars for his customer service skills.
The person I originally made my purchase with however gets one star for giving me a receipt with no ink on it.
The wrapped food gets -0 . Items should not be sitting on the shelf that looks spoiled.

Don't expect anything special. Prices are higher than Target's for food, you'd expect them to be lower since their labor and sq ft is substantially less.
The selection of food is about the same as your local Bodega, just a lot more pretentious ( a $7.00 pb&j? Seriously?)
This is basically a walk in vending machine. Keep on walking and support a buisness that actually adds value to a neighborhood.

I love the variety. It’s organic. So fresh. Just delicious. Been to several locations and as always the staff is so pleasant. The bonus is the fact that food is not wasted but instead donated to those less fortunate. Good food. Good employees. Good business motto. The end.
When you are on the 5th, start to feel tired and looking for a place to boost your energy, Prêt à manger is always ready to serve you fresh sandwiches, good soups, light desserts and salads. The coffee is also good and the place is nice.
Got kicked out by staff for no good reason! I BOUGHT food and was at this place doing schoolwork for about two hours. Just like ALOT of people i saw use this café to work on their laptops. There isnt any posted time limit. I wasn’t loitering. Some people had been there since before me! I spent money on their overpriced food and was not taking up needed seating. There was PLENTY of seats the whole time i was there. Maybe it was because i wasn’t in a suit? Or an old white businessman, or something. Maybe not. But one of the employees (a manager i think) was rude and insinuated i had to leave; because I’d been there for 2 hours. I was gonna buy (their overpriced) lunch there while i finished schoolwork. But no thanks!! I’ll go next door where people arent so rude and judgy. Never coming back.
Opened until late but the food is still very fresh with a large choice. The staff is really chilled and nice. A lot of space to seat in a relatively quiet atmosphere.

The location of this Pret is fantastic. We had the hot chocolate and it was delicious! The service there was absolutely fantastic. The place was packed but the line was moving fairly quickly. Gorgeous full Windows to enjoy the view and escape from the for me d's outside. Pricing in between Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks.
Not to be relied on for coffee in the morning. They are likely to not be open when advertised. Staff was rude and should not be operating a Pret store; these personnel should not be allowed to reflect a corporate brand. Refused to open the doors to the location at their opening time. Asked me and others to leave the store at 6:27 am. Presumably they were to open at 6 but a manager (African American lady) said emphatically they open at 6:30. She or other personnel would not re-open the doors once 6:30 came. Five different breakfast/coffee places open at 7 AM. I specifically set out to that location because I trusted they would be open; that Pret as a brand name would not misrepresent their opening time. It is never good/acceptable etiquette to throw people out of a store and not unlock the doors at the advertised time. Alongside great hostility shown on the faces of the manager. There was a level of anger from them was offensive too. Like "how dare I?!" want to get coffee and fresh bakery/croissants on time. And as a result I had to do without.
