I was told that the notary at this branch will only notarize capital one forms. As an existing and long time customer I was amazed to learn that such a simple service was denied and tied only to doing new and different business with capital one. Customer service is dying in the vine.

I came inside to update my pin. No one was standing in the greeter table. I see two business bankers on their phones, not once have I been greeted. 4 ppl on the line waiting. I see Kevin, a banker or manager that sits in the far office on his phone biting his nails. I approach him asking him if I should keep on waiting or who can assist to update a pin. He rolls his eyes gets up and says, did you not sign in? It's in the front table to sign in... I didn't respond and followed him to prove to him no one was greeting. And he went ahead and assisted me. I have multiple rental properties, so I have an out of state license, he questioned me as if I was trying to commit fraud, I provided him all the I formation he requested, as in account info and current former addreses and all and he had the audacity to say suspicious... I was a former Area Leader for a bank for multiple years, this kind of action needs to be corrected. The fact of the matter that everyone is on their phone, clients are waiting in line with no lobby leadership is really poor. I had my accounts with BOA for over 15 years, after today's visit I may move my accounts elsewhere due to this kind of treatment this for of discrimination.

Luiz Gonzaga and his team are amazing. I was always informed of every step in the process. The app tool used by Sandy Spring Bank is very easy to use and secure. I was so nervous of purchasing a home for the first time but Luiz gave me the confidence and support I needed throughout the process. I'm very happy with the results. The tellers are very polite and professional, but not diligent. I make a deposit here at least once a month and have experienced issues more times than I can count. I have a business account with BoA and I keep receiving complaints from my accounting team when it comes to these transactions. BoA will incorrectly type the amount of the deposit (without having me confirm it on my end first) and lose checks which result in me having to do damage control months after I dropped them off. Currently, I am dealing with a check that was improperly deposited from APRIL and just received word that it was reversed. All in all, deposits should be smooth, simple transactions and the tellers have created more work for me (and my accounting team) rather than solutions.
This branch is the epitomy of the reason why everyone should switch to a local bank or credit union.

The Branch closes at 4 pm on weekdays. The lobby did not have deposit slips or working pens. Only one of the ATM machines was turned on, but it still wasn't functioning and wouldnt process checks.

When I knocked on the glass and motioned to the teller to slip a pen under the door, she just laughed and then proceeded to ignore me.

Limited banking hours. Poor equipment, Poor customer service. It's time to switch.

I had a car loan with Capital One because my credit score is great 840, it was a 4 year car loan. It’s getting close to the end so I tried to go to their site to see my balance. When it opened it was blank. So I called and after verification the voice gave me options. First it said there is no more due at this time. I’ve had the same amount paid to them the same amount and time each month. Then the voice told me I could hear my last 4 transactions, so I said ok. So the amount stated was $200 less than my payment. So I asked for a representative. I got transferred 3 times, I explained to the agent who said my loan was 72 months ( incorrect) it was 48 months. She then said I owed for 2 more months. I asked why did the message say my last payment should have been $259 and I was paying $399. So I asked why did the message say I owed zero and the breakdown said my last payment should have been $259 I told her I wanted to dispute. She asked me when did the voice message tell me this. I told her just before the 3 times I was transferred. She said she was going to check. She came back and said I could not dispute they had no proof that it said that. I told her I’ve never been late once in 4 years and I didn’t appreciate the way I was treated. Maybe because I’m not a millionaire like the ones shown on tv smiling “what’s in your wallet” it won’t be yours. So if you are thinking about it don’t do it!!! I won’t ever use them again.

The ATM shorted me at this location I immediately went into the branch . They acknowledged my problem but told me to call customer service . After months speaking with customer service representatives they didn’t not refund the money. Bank at at your own risk ⛔️

I had an appointment with Ms. Assi today to ask for my referral bonus, which I was supposed to get it six months ago, I was directed to go to branch after countless talks with representatives over the phone; anyway she was late to by appointment by 15 minutes, and eventually came to ask what I am here for when I was sitting in waiting area, and shortly explained why they can’t grand referral bonus unless it is opened at branch, however that was not the deal at all in first place; ultimately, I could not get my referral bonus, and I switched gear on closing my account & withdrawing all of my money in branch for retaliation; guess what how much longer I waited for ? 40 minutes; it is insane; they are incapable of anything; no more business with you CitiBank; my next task would be closing out the my wife’s account which was opened by my referral link at first place
Today I was helped by Henry. He was extremely professional and also very clear to answer all the questions I had. He went all the extra mile to guide me in the process of making the best decisions. Whenever I need help about my banking with Bank of America, no doubt I will try to look for his very insightful comments and guidance.

I walked in expecting to open a bank account but what I then overheard next motivated me to go elsewhere. An employee had mentioned to what seemed like the branch manager that they were feeling ill possibly had Covid. The manager then proceeded to tell the employee that they would be able to leave after helping out a very important customer. No mask no anything.

1. You really let an employee interact with a customer KNOWING that they could have infected them.
2. You didn’t care that the employee was feeling ill.
I got out of there as quickly as I came in. It’s sad to see that companies like this don’t care about the well-being of their employees. I get it, it’s business but to basically put your employee at the risk of spreading a disease.

And the fact that a possibly new client saw this is even worse.

I initially expressed frustration about receiving misinformation. She quickly remedied the situation and we all gained clarity. My issue was resolved and I left happy! I appreciate the service that was provided at this branch.

Went to this branch to withdraw a cash. Since I don’t have debit card with me. They ask me for proper photo ID and I provided them. Finally after they verified everything, they denied me the many for the reason that I opened account online. I have to wait until my physical card arrived. Much worse, those people, four of them soo disrespectful and they literally harassed me. Start processing closing all my Citi accounts.

It took about 2:30 hour to open a simple account. Very incompetent and impolite. After apparently he opened the account we noticed he made a big mess and because of his mess the Chase put the account on hold. We had to go to another branch and spend more time with several people and manager to fix the issue. Awful experience. Never recommend this branch. Incompetent people. I don’t think these people can do any complicated transactions besides processing withdraws or deposits. I never had a positive experience in that branch, yet I still go there because it close to my house. Every time I go to other branches, the difference is like a day and night. Today, during my visit the manager was not even on site; a teller had to call her on a phone in some separate room, and I had stand there and wait for a while staring at the blank teller window - what a poor customer service! And even after that they were not able to help me. Why would they?

The is the most unhelpful bank I have ever been to in my life. I wanted to meet with someone in person regarding my account. The third person in line, a teller desk, at least three representatives sitting alone in their offices. No one is available to assist, I have to come back for an appointment. The two people standing in line in front of me, same. One was there for notary. The person in front of that person was also there only to be turned away. It doesn’t make sense to physically be there at the bank and be told there is no one that can assist you and you can come back tomorrow, I’ll make an appointment on your behalf. When did this become acceptable? It’s not. I attempted to make an appointment and the options available did not match my situation, which is why I showed up in person.

I was initially upset because the account number printed on my personal checks were wrong. I wrote a few checks before realizing that. I had to track down all of them (huge hassle and money loss for returned checks). This feels like a mistake a bank should not make. Then I am impressed with how easy to get helped by this branch compared with other larger banks. The customer service impressed me at this branch.

Worst costumer service I’ve experience in the US. I’ve been living here for 13 years and I am always amazed how amazing costumer service is in this country. But Citibank been the worst! My account got blocked 3 separate times in 1 month . I try to reach out to the banker several times and she never answers. I called the branch manager and I was very polite and explained to her what was going on she apologized and said “don’t worry I will check on the issue and get back to you” been over 2 weeks and I haven’t heard from her either! Both banker and manager were very friendly but I don’t need a friend I need efficiency. I can’t wait to go cancel my account. I’ve never experienced such a horrible costumer service!

Took me almost an hour because adding a beneficiary did not work.
Left there without having the beneficiary added.

You will say that so far, it's not something specific to this bank location and that's true.

But they haven't followed up since, they haven't given me an answer to any of my additional questions either. They don't seem to be very interested in helping with your financial needs.
There was a lot of smiling and promises of getting stuff done when i went there, but in the end, nothing was backed up by actions.
Avoid Gary Gertler. Runs a scam with undisclosed contractor. Makes promises, and doesn’t deliver, ruining your credit during the process.

This is the BEST bank I've ever worked with. I've been with Chase for almost a decade. They're always happy, friendly and accommodating. Never had any issues with them. The new blue lighting is gorgeous and I love the new layout of the branch. So glad there is finally a branch close to my home!

DO NOT USE THE ATMs AT THIS LOCATION IF YOUR NOT USING A CAPITAL ONE CARD. THE ATM MACHINE WILL KEEP YOUR CARD AND THE BANK STAFF WILL NOT ASSIST YOU IN RETRIEVING YOUR CARD FROM IT GETTING LOCKED IN THE MACHINE. A few days ago, I was in a hurry and didn't have time to stop at my bank so I went to withdraw some cash using my Bank of America debit card as I've done many times here at the drive through and at the walk-up ATM and halfway through the process, a message popped up that said: "We are sorry, but we have encountered a problem with this ATM machine and can no longer complete your transaction. Please try again later." My BoA card was never released or ejected from the ATM machine so I went inside to the bank and the bank teller told me that they can't help me get it back unless it's a Capital One card and that I just need to request a new card from my bank. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. I will never use any Capital One ATM ever again, nor will I ever consider banking with Capital One in any capacity. I highly recommend you don't either.

They have worst customer service ever. When you walk in they roll their eyes. I waited for more than one hour and they kept saying “one moment” “one moment”. I would’ve understood if it was crowded but it was NOT. Even when it is crowded in the other banks they have positive behavior. Let alone the other bank, even the other branches of Citibank is better than this. They welcome you nicely HOWEVER, People at THIS bank are very ill mannered and despicable. There was one person who was free, but he just kept staring at me without helping. I would rate it 0 but unfortunately it doesn’t have that option.

Recently moved to the area for a new job. I had to have an I-9 form filled out for employment verification. They made me wait 20 minutes for someone who could take of it. The young lady who helped me was arrogant and refused to complete the form claiming she isn’t allowed to fill it out or input any information at all. Since I’ve had to do this a few times I knew how it should be done but she was so stubborn she refused to listen. I went across the street to Bank of America and they filled it out no problem. I know it sounds dramatic but I was so dissatisfied that I promptly switched banks.

Lazy bank specialists. First, they told me I can to do what I came for online (I tried it and couldn’t - that was the reason I had to go to a branch And talking to the lazy people). Then, after me waiting fir my turn, they told me the bank is closed even though there were 2-3 minutes before the closure. It was obvious they were in a hurry to get closed and go home and didn’t care about customers!

I was in here to open an account. The review that says everyone that works here but the branch manager is great, I agree. She was rushing as stated. She was very disregarding to her employees. It made me feel so bad for the employee. The employee said that I looked overwhelmed and that was refreshingly honest. It was too hectic with the branch manager though I know they are trying to get you good service. I told the employee I was overwhelmed, but at least I get to leave this woman has to put with someone who blatantly disregarded her while she was providing very good service and I wish the other woman had just been more patient with her employee. I felt like I could relate. Just a lousy experience because of this dynamic where the employee who was being receiving pushy treatment looked like she was just going to provide the best service she knew how while her overwhelmed customer was trying to keep up with the branch manager. End of story. Julia needs to be more flexible to train her employees with regard to their understanding instead of jumping down their throats because they were doing just fine until she showed up.

This bank runs the drive thru PNC bank two blocks away. The employee at that branch, Hilary I believe, constantly serves customers on foot in their drive-thru while the rest of us sit in the car and wait. It’s a major safety issue for pedestrians and drivers. This specific cashier never smiles, is usually on the phone when I arrive and doesn’t like to say “good morning” either. It’s just overall an unpleasant experience to bank at this branch, but due to the nature of our business we have to use them. The experience at this bank as of late is the epitome of why PNC keeps losing their customers.

Good to have the branch in Bethesda. Waiting time at the cashiers' desk is not long at all. It is quick and efficient. But if you need anything from a representative, waiting time is very long. Not sure why. Looks like there are few service representatives (one or two) and they take time and devote attention to each customer. Which is great. Appears to me that the long waiting at the branch may be another side of representatives' willingness to give full attention to each customer. But plan to spend long time waiting unless you are lucky and you are only customer to meet with a representative.
I had a situation when a representative provided incorrect information. I found that information that he provided was incorrect. I came again. Was waiting long time. The branch was closing soon. Finally the branch manager came to help her representative (was only one at that time). The manager was extremely helpful. She took her time to review the issue, provided comprehensive information, answer all my questions, and corrected the issue. Both the manager and the representative worked until all customers who were at the branch were served staying for more than an hour after the branch was closed.
An employee of yours, Lynna Qualls, unlawfully entered into my house, attacked my wife and unlawfully removed my child (which is not her child) from my residence. My wife has bruises, in pain and is suffering emotionally. Lynna Qualls is now facing 2nd degree assault charges with an active warrant. I would like to believe Wells Fargo wouldn’t see an employee, capable of such a crime, as an asset.

It was very bad experience with them.Since I am receiving mail from this bank every month to have a credit card from them, I went there to get information and open an account for my monthly salary which is reasonably good amount. With a little bit of research on my own I found that I could call an 800 number and have it delivered next day to the bank or my house. Why they wouldn’t know something simple like this is beyond me.

The branch manager Grace is disgraceful terrible.
The worst customer service I have ever received.

In all my dealings, staff has been competent and courteous. Ben Mills delivered excellent client service when I came in to open a safe deposit box a few days ago. I was in and out in a couple short minutes with all my questions answered.

The physical appearance of the branch is also very stately. It is definitely a bank.
Mr. Verma helped me replace my lost bank card in under 10 minutes because he knew I was in a rush. He was very quick, helpful, and friendly. This was my first time at the branch and I am very happy with my experience!
