The fries were okay it wasn’t that crispy . But the portions were very good . The toppings were good . I wish they would have fried it more for more flavour . The olives tasted fresh.
I have a severe gluten allergy and staff made sure area was clean and safe from any cross contamination.
This is the 3rd Deer Garden I've been to (other locations were North York and Montreal). Food is good cafe quality and most meals come with a free drink. This location does not have horlicks, so I got chocolate milk instead. This is a busy location, and it's difficult to get a parking spot on Saturdays due to many restaurants at this plaza.

This is gem for North Indian meal, snacks, chats and sweets. Tastes authentic, delicious and consistent. They seem to literally care for customers comments on delivery order!

It reminds me back home. Kudos to the owner, chef and the entire team!
Went to this AYCE sushi place for the 3rd time. Went with friends this time around. I paid $54.41, tips included. On the pricier end of AYCE sushi places. I swear it's getting pricier each time we go back.

This time the sashimi was a miss. Some of the sashimi was fresh, while others weren't as fresh.

The sushi and other foods were fine. Not amazing but it was decent. We enjoyed the food. Sometimes the food here are either a hit or a miss. Like the beef skewers. Last time we were here, the beef skewers were bad. This time around, they were really good.

The first time I came here was with friends. The food was good. The second time I came here was with family. The food was decent. Now the third time... The food was okay, but not great or anything.

The service was fast and good. Food was brought by pretty quickly and they took away empty plates back quickly as well.

The atmosphere is fine. We went on Saturday around 4pm. It's basically empty at that time with like 2 other groups of people there. By the time we left, there was more people, but it wasn't full.

I guess come here if you want some AYCE sushi and other Japanese foods. I suppose there are other better options, but Matsuda is our ol' reliable restaurant.

We ate lots more, but I forgot to take pictures. So the only pictures I got was from the end of the meal and our time there.
ordered a poutine on door dash and found a long blonde hair in my food (i have short black hair) . i’m absolutely disgusted. only took one bite and now i can’t even eat it. this place needs a health inspector check or needs to check that their employees have the proper food safety education lol this place is a joke

Very clean and simple place for Indian snacks and food.
We tried the kachori, bhajji, and puri subzi. The prices are quite reasonable and definitely value for money.
The place was also well maintained and clean unlike many dingy Indian eateries. They also have a nice menu of Indian sweets.
Very popular make your own noodles place! Lots of options in terms of soup, toppings, and types of noodles, and the portions are enormous! Also comes with a drink and a snack at a discount if you would like. I much preferred the Malay base but that's just me, the fish one is quite strong if you're not into fish. Come hungry!

We got the AYCE lunch deal for $20.99, such a steal! There's a time limit of 1.5 hours but that's more than enough in my opinion. Service was fast, waiters are friendly and the meats were seasoned deliciously! Would definitely come here again.

My partner and I went here for AYCE at lunch. I’ve been to Korean Grill House before and enjoy the BBQ!

We got the pork, beef, chicken and my partner got the fish fillet. The flavours were delicious and perfect! It wasn’t overpowering and wasn’t too bland.

We also got the side dishes rice, spicy bean sprout, potato’s and tofu. I loved their potato’s, the seasoning was great. The tofu was also delicious and wasn’t too soft. I wasn’t a huge fan of the spicy sprouts, thought they were dry. I recommend getting the regular sprout and adding some chilli oil (which I loved).

I wish the lunch included veggies with the BBQ, since meat and rice is quite heavy. I also wish there were more meat/flavour options!

The service was quick, I think the worker to customer table ratio was like 1:1 since we went at opening. The food came out fast and the place was quite clean. I would recommend if you’re trying korean BBQ for the first time since the price was 22.99 for AYCE.

Highly recommended all-you-can-eat KBBQ spot! A meat lover's paradise with a wide selection of flavorful cuts, interactive grilling, and a variety of delicious sides. Staff are friendly and accomodating, Perfect for a fun and satisfying dining experience with friends and family!
The workers are very friendly and I recommend going there for both the experience and the food! Honestly I’d go for the fries with some seasoning!

I had an amazing time at Nigeria Palace this evening. I ordered the pepper catfish soup and plantain and I was not disappointed. The palm wine was fresh and tasty. Amazing flavours and portions! The owner, Pastor Abi provides exceptional service and makes you feel extremely welcome! I will be a regular customer!

Do you know how old kaju katli has to be for it to go white on the inside like this? I just bought it and it's as hard as a rock! Your services are usually great but there has been a decline recently. Please maintain better health and safety measures and ensure freshness of the food you sell before someone gets sick. You wouldn't eat this yourself so why are you okay with charging people money for it? 🤢

FOOD IS SO BAD and its getting worse every single time I go there. No matter how many chance I give them, it is always a missed and WILL NEVER GONNA GET BETTER. There is no quality in the food. Lettuce from the salad are brown already and not fresh. Chickpeas are mushy all the time and portions are so tiny compared to other shawarma places. Meat are not cooked fresh everyday so you get a dry meat most of the time. When I saw today that there’s a new batch of meat I went there for lunch but the food was half wet like as if I am eating a porridge. $16 for a small portion of meat and rice and bad quality is ridiculous. This place will not get any better at all.
The poutines and hotdogs are good! Great and fast transaction and the crew are all kind. Will surely recommend to try nyf foods!
Me and my mother visited this restaurant 2 -4 times per month.
The sashimi is above average especially the squid sashimi* (ika), shrimp sashimi*.
Other recommendation include Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Enoki roll*, Deep Fried Pork Chop*, Matsuda Roll* (Red Tuna Top), Steam Egg, Tempura Shrimp, Sweet Potato Tempura*, Volcano Roll (Salmon Steak), Mango Yogurt*, Ginger Milk*. Fish Head Soup, Mussel in Soup*. Shrimp Skewer*. Pan Fried Udon*, Tepanyaki Shrimp*, Spicy Salmon Hand Roll.
If you have trouble to select the food. Try my recommendation list with a *. The shrimp/beef is expensive in supermarket now, so come here to eat all the shrimp/ beef.
They open at 3pm, so I come at around 4pm, and treat that meal as my lunch + dinner.

Other than food, the table is very big, and air condition is very strong. Service is great in general speaking. Food is ordered from the provided IPAD so there is less chance to miss an order.

Bad experience ever, I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse it is not even close to authentic. You should not call yourself a Korean restaurant. We had Deluxe combo but the quality of meat was awful, especially chicken; lots of skin and fat. I’ve never had chicken with the yellow fat in other restaurants. If you’re chef, you must know that the yellow fat should be removed.
The kimchi was sweet!! Whatttt!!! It shouldn’t be…
The kimchi soup was so terrible, I don’t know how to explain because I couldn’t call it kimchi soup.
On top of that, the bill already included service charges. If you don’t notice, you will pay twice.
Finally, l realized that no Korean customers in the restaurant so…

Save yourself the $25 for a 2-meat combo and eat somewhere else. I don’t understand all the 4-star reviews…unless they’re paid for. I had the goat and chicken combo with rice and plantain. The goat was as tough as leather, not one tender piece in the bunch…was chewy and difficult to swallow…the chicken wasn’t too far off - dry, dry, dry. The combo is mostly rice and very little meat. I essentially paid $25 for a bowl of rice that would probably cost less than a dollar. Save your time, money, and teeth - and go somewhere else to eat. Meat this though isn’t food.
The food was great. The fried rice can have more vegetables in it but it was really good. I’m coming for the jollof next. The Moimoi was tasty and the puff puff??????? I’ll be back for it sooner than later!! Just found this restaurant close to work and I am definitely eating more here. Great service too!!

We asked for nothing spicy, they did not disclose that that potatoes have spices, which is something we could have moved on from even though my mother can't eat anything spicy. However, some of the potatoes were old, as well as the kabab we got. My mom is very shy, she ate what she could from the plate and said to not say anything, but I had just come and saw this so I took the plate back to them. She did not eat anything that went old or was spicy, and I told them as much. It is not the cheapest place to buy food from, and I told them that nothing should have been left over (I have 4 years experience working in a similar restaurant, I would know), but the staff were saying the dish is finished and I am asking for freebies and they were extremely rude. One also said she asked for it to be well done, my mom did not say anything like that when she ordered. We do not go out often, and this goes for anybody, when we go out to spend well earned money, we should be getting our money's worth. If you are shy like my mother, don't let people do that to you, get what you paid for or get a refund. Neither of which we got, nor did we want either by the way. I simply wanted to tell them that it is not okay to do that, and they were not very friendly about it which is why I am writing this review.

Great place to eat kbbq! The grilled meat was tasty and the all-you-can-eat price is quite decent. The lettuce took a while to come but the staff were polite and the atmosphere was nice.
It was my first time doing AYCE sushi and we really enjoyed it! We got there like an hour after the store opened so it was empty and got much busier later on. Food got sent over quickly, and everything tasted fresh. I really liked the fried scallops and sashimi, as well as the kimchi soup. The sashimi came served on crushed ice, which kept it nice and cool and refreshing. I know it is a bit pricier than other AYCE sushi places, but it was recommended to us by a friend and we still felt it was a good deal for the food. We would definitely come back!

I was recommended to go the other location but it was fully booked so I came here.
With this pricing, it’s better off to go somewhere else. The torched pressed salmon and unagi sushi have very thin layer of the meat. The meat in hand roll is also very little. They are also very stingy with the boba for the dessert. The ice cream is also mixed with ice. The rests are mediocre.
The staff have poker face on. Some of the servers give the impression that they are forced to work. There is one particular server sighs every time he puts down the plate, I was pretty worried his saliva went into our food.

If you want to enjoy good AYCE sushi, don’t come here.
Amazing, amazing. amazing! This is some of the best Nigerian food I’ve had, and I’ve been here a while.

As you can see, I already started off with the meals but still had to take snapshots.

The Afang soup was delicious and the puff puff was so light and airy. Overall, the service was superb and the owner creates a very welcoming environment to anyone who walks in. Great quantity and quality to match.

I highly recommend!

I am so disappointed with the kind of service we received today at the store in Villa Madina. I am not sure why the management here keeps changing. During March and April the crew was very polite and the food quality was amazing as well. Today the chicken shawarma felt like half done and for sure not how a shawarma should be. Not sure if this was the reason for upset tummies.

Very disappointed and will have to reconsider ever going back to this place.
This is a strictly take-out restaurant. There are no chairs and tables for dining. My Ghanaian and Nigerian friends say that the food is great. I am from the Caribbean so the flavours are very heavy for my tastes, but still good.

The food was pretty good, although the chicken and beef was very dry and hard to chew, the egusi, beef stew and jollof rice was very tasty. The owner was also very friendly and welcoming. My only issue was the price. We ordered 3 takeout items which were the egusi with fufu, beef stew with fufu and jollof with chicken along with a couple drinks. The total cost was $90.... I don't understand how they came up with the pricing but it's definitely not worth that much. You can have a feast at any Indian, Chinese, Haka or other Asian, Carribean or African restaurant with that amount money. Definitely worth trying out but I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

So after alot of great reviews i visited the place today for some nice Indian veg food. Firstly the staff is really good and polite, the options as well as the price is very reasonable. The service was quick for us.
We had ordered the much recommended Channa Bhatura and Tandoori aloo parantha. The channa bhatura was doable but the aloo parantha was the game winner for me. It was exactly the same way you get in in North India specifically Murthal (anyone from Delhi/ NCR can relate to it)
We also took samosa and paneer pakoda. Samosa's were really good with some chai but would recommend paneer pakoda to be taken with some chutney else they will feel dry.
Overall my taste buds were left satisfied and i will definaltly return for more!!

Great value lunch - very good prices and delicious noodles and dumplings!
Noodle soup portions are very large compared to the Markham location. Soup base is rich and flavourful.

Waiter service needs to be more better. No manners.

Best Cholle Bhature in Scarborough. It is my 6th time here and the quality is best as always.
You can try channe bhature with mango jarito BhaisaaB
India Bhull jayoge ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Came here for lunch after many years and was quite happy with the fresh and large portion of food. You build your own bowl of noodles for $15.75, picking your soup base, 2 toppings, noodle type and a classic drink. The portions were huge and flavours were good. I enjoyed the Malay laksa soup and I tried to the mala soup and pepper fish soup which were both good.
I tried the egusi and vegetable soup but it tasted terribly, it’s tasted like it wasn’t well sauced. I would not be ordering it again. I also tried the porridge and it tasted like too much sugar was added to it and too much oil. While eating the porridge I could only taste the oil. The fish was also too salty.
The jollof rice was on point. The meatpie isn't as great and I will suggest air fryer is used to heat the meatpie instead of microwave. There were a lot of takeout orders which kinda affected the wait time for us. Please pre-order your menu before visiting so you have a cut in the wait time. The lady and the manager were great in service inspite of the overwhelming order. The manager decided to give us puff puff at no extra cost because my order which was initially thought was available; wasn't. He insisted on giving us the puff puff after saying no to the 'extra' jollof rice he wanted to give us. Great place, great service and great food.

Sushi/rolls are quickly served and the rice is delicious. Took a bit long for Sashimi and kitchen made dishes. Service is ok. Felt Extreme thirsty after this meal, need to fix the recipe by adjusting salt/soy sauce. Price is higher than regular AYCE restaurants. Not recommend.
Very solid KBBQ spot with some decent choices. Most of the meat tasted pretty good, but the ribs were definitely the best.

We also got served a giant slice of onion, so that was cool 🤣

Service was very good for how busy they were, and the atmosphere was pretty nice.

I'd say this is a very solid AYCE KBBQ spot, definitely would come again if I'm feeling up for excessive amounts of ribs lol.

I purchased the two meat Sharwarma combo. The food was ok amd large portions but some items were not fresh.
Excellent services and delicious food. Me and my gf had large size "The Works". It was well made, and fries were tasty.
Jollof Rice is soooo delicious. My first time eating Nigerian food and I called and was recommended this dish and it was the best advise. I also had Pounded Yam with Egusi with fish and that was delicious too. Highly recommmended to try this place and this cuisine. Will return for Jollof Rice and will have to try other dishes.

This is one of the best plates we had. The taste is the best compared to villa madina at different locations.
I personally tried villa madina at various locations but I liked the one at Vaughan mills.
I highly recommend this.
They also give pasta on the sides.
Probably my favorite AYCE Japanese restaurant uptown. The sashimi was fresh and was presented nicely. Both the quality and variety of cooked dishes were good. The tempura shrimp was fresh, hot, and crispy. I came on a weekday and service was quick. My only complaint is that their desserts lacked selection and quality has gone down recently.
My daughter and I shared The Works, poutine! It was amazing. Top to bottom, filled with ingredients. The large was the right amount for the two of us.
The staff were also, smil8ng and friendly. Lisa was lovely.
Great place to have quick and delicious meals that come with drinks. Service is friendly and efficient.
When you walk in the staff great you with japanese phrase. They don't speak much but they are responsive if you ask them something. They are also very attentive when clearing the table.

We came at 5:30PM so they were not too busy yet. The tables are huge and wide which is a breathe of fresh air compared to most sushi places that are a bit cramped.

The food came in a timely fashion. They lay your sashimi over ice which keeps in cold and the illusion of being fresh. Salmon Sashimi was great. The only negative is that you can't order a lot of sashimi in one go. They Limit 10 pieces per guest at a time. You can order more but it is a bit annoying.

The cooked foods were meh. I did not like the eggplant dish and the soupy dish. We ordered the kimchi stew but they gave us the clear fish head instead.

My highlight was the ginger milk pudding at the end of the meal. It was very very gingery so be warned for a kick of spice.

Overall I would come here again. Would recommend

Also Tip is included so don't pay more if you don't need to.
I've always wanted to try West African food, and this was a good recommendation by my friend from Nigeria.

The food we sampled was all great. I had the Combo 2 consisting of beef & chicken suya with jolof rice. The price was a little pricy at over $20, but I would say it was well worth it. There were a lot of food portions in the order that I was able to take some of the food to-go for eating later at home.

The taste of suya was not too much different from other grilled food; however, suya still has its own distinct character. The combination of the grilled meat with the salad or coleslaw with the plantain and jolof rice was exquisite. The spice mix use was also just a little different to make suya distinct.

My friend had all praises for his order of the suya wrap. The food item was very filling with generous portions of protein included in it.

My only complaint was their transition into the new menu pricing and with their online order was not very smooth at all. They had a card with a QR code that should direct you to the online site for ordering, but the code was not quick to register. There was also no place on the online site to enter the discount code to get 10% off your order. The operators should have been better trained and familiar with the whole online order process and the expected interface that customers will run into.
First time I tried it was the founder came to share African culture in college. After the first trial, I found that the food was yummy and I just realised it was my first time to try African food ! I visited there today for the second time and the food was still delicious! You can see the box is full of ingredients and the price is reasonable haha 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Good portion and tasty food. Had the ordinary fish soup noodles, the broth is flavourful. Not to mention the chilly oil, it paired so well with the noodles. It’s the best fish soup noodles I have ever had. Slightly pricey for a lunch yet I would still recommend👍🏻
4.5/5

Dishes we loved: torched shrimp with cheese, torched salmon, golden shrimp, flower wonton, and sirloin steak. The shrimps were soooo fresh, plump, and soft, perfectly cooked. Torched shrimp with cheese was phenomenal, just sobering about the pairing of sweet rice and shrimp with salty, melty cheese. Flower wontons were not slathered in sauce and we were so happy about that - it was perfectly sweet, creamy, and salty, plus the wonton wrapper was thin and cripsy. The steak cubes were super tender and cooked medium, and each serving was a generous portion.

We only wish that the sushi rolls were better- they were just ordinary, and tbh we've had better sushi rolls at convenience stores. The only roll we liked was the spicy crispy.

Service: restaurant was extremely busy but servers still refilled waters, asked if we liked our food, and gave us all the tempura and spicy mayo we wanted lol
So we didn't mind the 11% service charge and I appreciated that they didn't add the option to add tip, they just have the service charge and thats it. I prefer this more compared to restaurants that start their tip option at 18%

Atmosphere: 4/5 super busy and loud, but it's not their fault that they are so popular 😅 we were seated at a nice and secluded corner.
Absolutely incredible. My friend wanted to treat me to authentic Northern Dumplings. The usual restaurant was no longer there so by chance found Dumpling Restaurant. Had Pork and Celery dumplings, and Chives with egg dumplings, Beef with Broccoli and Shredded Fish. All was very delicious and freshly made.14 dumplings per order. Good Prices, Great Quality and Quantity. Highly recommend.

Clean dining area; quick and friendly service. Cash or debit only. Food is good but nothing extraordinary. Worth trying if you're in the area and craving northern style cuisine.
I just love this place! My go-to spot whenever I'm missing my homeland,I ordered the waakye, and it was delicious as always. It's a Ghanaian rice and peas dish served with goat stew, gari, spaghetti, shito pepper, plantain and boiled egg. I also got a small chicken suya, omg yummmm! Good portions, can feed 2 people and still had leftovers. This place never disappoints, and the service was friendly. I'll always be back ;)

The dessert that I love, deep fried egg white with red bean paste inside, was better in Vancouver.
Enjoy a bowl of Malay Laksa noodles which is the best in the area. The laksa is actually a soup base o you can choose for your "create your own". There is also the Teriyaki chicken and egg on rice. Unfortunately, there is no sauce on the rice under the chicken and only lines of teriyaki sauce is on the chicken (disappointment).
The HK milk tea that comes with them may be considered the best in the area too. Great prices at about $13.90 each.
One of my absolute favourite soup noodle places. Been going there for years! My absolute favourite is the Tom Yum soup!

Price is very reasonable at 15.75 and you get a hugeeeee bowl. Not only do you get what you order but each bowl is loaded with cabbage, mushrooms and more!

Try their delicious Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken as well! (there's a high tea combo with Drink for $9.99)

Check out the pictures! Rarely do i give a 5 but this place definitely deserves it.

They have multiple locations in Toronto anf and the quality and service is consistent regardless of which location you visit!

Ordered veg thali, extra garlic naan and chhole bhature from A1 through SkipTheDishes. As with past few orders recently, the taste of food is amazing. In today's order, Pakora kadi, Palak paneer, Malai kofta were excellent. I found Garlic naan $4 is a bit on the expensive side. Naan and bhatura being delivered and wrapped in aluminum foil lose their crispness. Food packaged nicely.
This place is an institution, me and my bff have been coming here for years and is our #1 favorite restaurant, plus the service and food quality has never diminished. Servers always check their customers regularly, lots of menu selections and the price is right. Don't even think, just come by, you won't regret it. The Mango Slush is also my fav drink item here be sure to give it a try.
Apparently this place is hit or miss. Unfortunately for me it didn’t hit this time. Beef suya was so chewy and the jollof rice didn’t have a lot of flavour it was just smoky and greasy. I will try again but with something different.

UPDATE, went back a second time and got chicken suya, it was great.

Great atmosphere here and the food was delicious perfectly marinated with their house sauces. The only downfall to this place is when you order a drink we had to ask 2-3 times where it is and when we could expect it. If you're looking for a great Korean BBQ this is definitely a great place to go with the all you can eat it's so much fun cooking your own food. Definitely try all the beef cuts, chicken, calamari, salmon and get some rice. The mango and strawberry ice cream are tasty, but mango is really sweet. Tried their mango strawberry slushie and it was great little on the expensive side. All in all I would recommend and will be back!

We traveled from the US and bought the baozi before we left. It tastes so good and so authentic! This is the best baozi restaurant I have ever been to in Toronto.

We bought multiple types of baozi. They were so nice to write the names on the lid of the box with the position of the baozi marked in the box.

They also serve other food which we have bought and enjoyed quite a lot. Great place overall!
I had amala and efo-riro (assorted). Sooo delicious and fresh. Definitely coming back here and ordering out . Great service too. The portion made me full and I came in hungry.
Thanks for making my day!!!
This restaurant was my first taste of suya and I like it! I’ve had the chicken, fish, and goat suya here and out of those I would say the goat is my number one. The flavours on the proteins are delicious but the textures for the goat and chicken can be tough to chew.

For the sides the fried plantain cannot be beat! They pack a great sweetness which is well complemented by that slight char. The puff puff is awesome as well (basically sweet fritters in a ball shape). Then there’s the well seasoned jollof with a decent amount of spice 👍🏾

Overall this is a good spot to get tasty food but you need to order in advance because wait times can be rough.
First time trying West African food, was overall a good experience. Got Combo 1 with beef suya, jollof rice, fried plantain, cabbage and onion salad, pepper sauce and pop for $21.20 plus tax. May seem a bit on the pricier side but enough food for two meals for me.

They do not skimp with the meat, which was good to see. Had a strong smokey taste which was unique. The combination of the salad, rice and meat worked well. Though be very careful with the pepper sauce, it is tasty but seriously spicy!

We tasted their Chicken, Falafel, Beef Rokboxes at the STC location during the national shawarma day. My fav was the Chicken flavor which was tender and flavourful. Falafel was crispy, well-seasoned! If you are planning to enjoy them at the STC area make sure to reserve a spot first and also add their special sauces. The servers are prompt. Avg meal cost $10.

First found this restaurant on a whim last month and it was so good we ended up coming back for more. The dumplings are all excellent, on the first visit I had the pan fried pork and chive dumpling as well as the pork potstickers. The potstickers are a must have! My dad and sister got the noodles which were noticeably hand pulled and absolutely delicious. On our second round, I had got the beef pancake recommended in other reviews and the pork and chive potstickers which were both so flavourful. Highly recommend coming to this place but get in early, it fills up quickly.

Third world. This building ought be closed.

washrooms are simply awful - a signing directing toilet paper away from being flushed. Deadly stairs to access.

It is time for this place to close.

The food was very very bad. There are also rather silly autonomous delivery "drones" that are a complete waste.

Hopefully the employees are paid according to Ontario law.
We got their Chicken, Falafel, Beef Rokboxes. Chicken was tender, juicy, Beef was crisped up nicely, flavourful and, Falafel was crispy, well-seasoned! All the Protein were served on a bed of Rice, topped with Pickles, Pickled Radish, and their signature Garlic Sauce, gosh it was amazing!

The soup and green onion pancake was amazing! However my family and I got MILD FOOD POISONING after eating the slightly undercooked chicken dumplings. They tasted fine but we got sick later that evening.

Would recommend other dishes aside from the dumplings, ironic that it’s called Dumpling Restaurant and would ask for well cooked chicken instead.

Asian Legend is a popular restaurant chain with multiple locations across GTA. My last visit was at their restaurant around Niagara-on-lake which I believe has permanently closed.

We ordered the following items:
1. Special pan fried dumplings 6 pcs $8.99.
2. Green onion pancake rolled with beef flank. $8.99
3. Hot and Sour Soup $7.99
4. Taiwanese vermicelli with salted egg, pork, and shrimps. $14.99

The pan fried dumplings are usually big and juicy however the ones served here were lacking flavour and the meat filling was tiny. The dumpling skin did have a nice crispy char so you know they were pan fried. The orders were delivered by a robot operating on GPS. I guess most restaurants will be employing this technology to reduce the need to hire busboy.

The green onion pancake was wrapped with beef flank with hoisin sauce. These wrapped in tin foil and sliced in 4 bite sized portions. This was one of our favourite dishes here and it did not disappoint. The price is now pretty steep but I understand they need offset higher operating and food costs.

The hot and sour was very spicy and watery. They need to add more corn starch. Lots of shredded pork, mushrooms, shrimps, and assorted veggies.

Taiwanese vermicelli lacked colour and toppings. There was barely any shrimps and pork. I was disappointed and will not be ordering this again.

Overall the experience was just ok. I would probably give them another chance maybe it was a bad day in the kitchen. There seems to be alot of cost cutting which did impact customer satisfaction. I hope the next time they address these issues.
Absolutely in love with their Fries.I feel I have found an alternate to the Mc D Fries and they are soft not actually crisper, but so like them to be soft. Regular portion would be good for 2 people. Good packaging as well. Recommended to buy.

Almost hidden from view, it's a great place to visit and try at least once. The baozi are delicious, my only concern is they tend to be fairly misshapen when buying the frozen bags.

Asian Legend who specializes in the Northern Chinese cuisine started in the late 1980's in downtown Chinatown. With a modest beginning, there are now several locations across the GTA.

1. Braised Beef noodles soup.
2. Smoked fish, Drunken Chicken soaked in liquor, and Deep marinated Beef Shank.
3. Sauted Snowpea Shoot with Garlic
4. Boiled dumplings - chicken and mushroom

They do takeouts, online orders, and also do their own local deliveries. There is Wi-Fi access for their dine in customers. There are washrooms available on-site. If you have mobility issues, ask them where the nearest one is.

The staff are courteous and attentive. Do you know they have a yearly VIP card program. If you have one, you can save 10% off your bill and collect points for gifts. Ask Joyce for further details. She is fluent in English and treats her customers like a VIP.

There are several VIP rooms available at this location. Some are located in the main dining hall, while the others are located at the back of restaurant. Sliding doors separate these VIP rooms and can easily accommodate different sizes of group of people. Be aware there is a minimum order food charge per individual room. Call ahead for pricing.

There are ample parking spaces at the front, side and at the back of the building. If there are no more parking spaces, which happens occasionally since this restaurant do get busy. You can discreetly park in the neighbouring stores and plazas. There is a multi level mall next door and a supermarket at the way back.

They accept cash, debit and credit card payments. I gave ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because of my whole dining experience with the Servers, Food taste and presentation, and the overall cleanliness of Restaurant.

They still abide to covid 19 protocols. I noticed a hand sanitizer bottle in every table, and all the dishes and utensils are still wrapped. You feel safe because the tables are still socially distance from one another. Note they do not have an outdoor patio.

We can always count on having a great meal at the Dumpling Restaurant. Our dinner this evening was no exception, the steamed dumplings, the fried dumplings, the beef wrap and the fried onion cake were great. Service was quick, food was all piping hot. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This shop is tucked away in the corner and have tried this place a few times. I would say that although it looks cheap, the assortment of buns are really packed with meat ranging from pork with celery, pork with pickled nappa cabbage and my favourite was pork and shrimp. I have tried their beef with onions which oozes with sweetness coming from the onions. I haven't tried their other array of foods but will try it another time. Overall, the buns are soft, the filling is substantial and is a delightful treat to satisfy that bun craving.

I tried a variety of their buns, both the vegetarian offerings as well as the beef and carrot and beef and cabbage versions. While they are tasty, I've had better buns elsewhere. But this place beats them in terms of price, very cheap!
Great Scarborough hidden gem! I’ve been here a few times for takeout and the food is delicious and always fresh. Some of the best dumplings I’ve ever had, and it takes me 20 mins to drive home and they are still amazing, they travel well. The potstickers are so good they have so much filing in them, very generous portions. The braised eggplant with pork is great, the sauce is not too sweet or thick like most other places, it’s tangy with a great consistency, good to eat alone or with rice.

**Now let me tell you…** if you have not tried their fried sweet potato dish you haven’t truly lived. It’s a great dessert I get it every time, crunchy sweet and salty candied sweet potatoes, they are addictive!!!

Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. Dining room is spacious and clean. Thank you for all the dumpling and great food, I’ll come back again and again!

This spot is a strong 3.5 stars. A really nice spot to grab some nice spicy food. I have been frequenting this location for over 20 years, and am still happy to comeback.

They have revamped sections of the store over the years and added accents of culture all around the store.

Food is always yummy! Agreed with the long wait times, but things like naan and puri take time to make especially when it’s FRESH.

I take health standards very seriously. I noticed that there was a bunch of jalebis that had fallen in the sweets display. I informed the gentlemen at the counter that it had happened. He quickly came to the front and began removing them from the display and disposed of them directly in the trash.

A must try is the thali and the naan. Definitely sends me back to India. Please note that if you are not in and out of the restaurant within 30s, the smell of the food will be baked into your clothes. 🔥

To avoid disappointment, you should make reservations. We saw some people get turned away for dinner on a Sunday night because they didn't have reservations.
It has been a long time since we've had good dumplings because of the pandemic. We ended up over ordering but if we had to do it all over again we probably would've over order just the same. All the dishes were very good! Our favourites were the steamed soup filled dumplings and the Fish Fillet with Spiced Salt & Pepper.
I only wished they had given us more sliced ginger with the vinegar for the various dumplings we ordered.

I came here twice and its a busy place for breakfast. Lots of take out.

Its a traditional Chinese breakfast, very simple, plain and satisfying. If you are not chinese or use to this type of food, you may find it boring, so I don't recommend it for everyone.

The tofu is to die for. Very soft and delicate. Tastes sweet but not overly sweet. The Buns are fresh and the price is really reasonable.

Its a drop in place, so pls don't expect very good service, if so, that is one big mistake. They are friendly, and they don't serve tea. so you will buy something from their fridge.

Very affordable is the first thing that comes to mind when dining at Baozi Lin. Tried the pork and cabbage baozi and was mediocre at best. The tofu hua was very light and satisfying. Would be willing to give another filling a try sometime in the future.

A good reliable place for Asian food but it can be often packed here. We tend to stick with the same dishes but they are always consistent and fresh. The service is always good and the food comes out quickly. Don't rate this based on other Asian Legend locations because we have had bad experiences elsewhere, but not here. UPDATE: This is still an amazing location and we've been coming here for years and the food is always fresh. Great to see that this place is continuing to pump out great food.
