I love such a family place. Nice Dome cafe just across the street. Beautiful beach and good vibe. Keep spending my time over the weekends there. You'd love it!

Absolute gem, this is a stunning place kept immaculate by the Gold coast council, walking or cycling tracks for miles, so much wildlife to enjoy. You could see echidnas, black cockatoos, lots of kangaroos and plenty of koala's sleeping in the trees, so keep your eyes open

A great place to relax, unwind and enjoy the nature. Lots of Kangaroos & Wallabies and without much looking along the trail we spotted 3 Koalas.
Easy parking at various points but the easiest immediate access to the Koala Trail is opposite the Southport Airport Strip. We will be walking the longer track around the lake on next visit.
Top spot for an outdoor concert or music day......in the right conditions.
Relatively easy to get to via the light rail network.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Red Hot Summer Tour event February 25th 2024.
Limited shade areas nearer to the stage area, on a super hot day with an absolutely unforgiving Sun ☀️.
A personal choice to choose shelter as a safety measure to counteract the sun's punishing heat meant no view of the stage and some reduction in sound quality.

Wow, I love this park. The idea for a family picnic next to the beach and the park was amazing.

It is always a great space for the whole family. I don't know why nobody bothered to repair the slide. After all, it's just school holidays, right? Additionally, the great looking sun sails are useless. There is no actual sun protection over the playground. It's really a pity that the great play space doesn't seem to be on the priority list of the city.

Great spot to spend 30 mins to a couple of hours. Plenty of Kangaroos and saw a sleepy (aren't they all!) Koala. Be warned - you must access this walk from Shelter Road - Pine Ridge (East) side. The road from the west is blocked (google maps tells lies!). I parked at the aerodrome end and walked in. The trail (other than a few pot holes) is flat and wheelchair accessible. I only saw 1 map (damGed) but your phone should work fine so use Google maps. I turned right at that first map, then right again (at a 'management trail') to come back. That trail is full if trees down from the recent storms. I climbed over them but not for everyone. They will probably have these cleared in the next few weeks. Overall, a nice walk away from the bustle.

Can easily find a quiet patch to spend the day. However, all the play areas and rock pools are always jam-packed, even during the week.
This is also where whanganui day is now celebrated.

Beautiful beach park. And lots of activities around. Went several times. Wonderful year end family friendly party and fireworks.
Multiple bbqs good play ground grassy area. Keen too go a Sunday when the trains are on !
Over all it’s a beautiful place to visit with so many hidden places to explore.
Over all it’s not a big garden but you could easily spend the day there relaxing with friends and family, or just reading a book.
It is a beautiful garden is divided into several themes. There are different sections for flowers, palms, orchids, rainforest, cascade etc. There are several walking tracks to choose from.
I particularly enjoyed the rainforest trail.
There is ample parking and many benches and shady aress to sit and relax or even have a picnic. It's a great place to visit with kids. No dogs are allowed here.
Incredible place to explore. Wander around the different themed gardens, or have a picnic near the pond or in one of the peaceful grassed areas. BYO picnic rug, otherwise there are plenty of park benches and some picnic tables spread around the gardens. There are some interesting interactive places hidden within some of the walks. Lots of native birds. Toilets and free parking. No dogs or bikes, scooters, etc. Plenty of flat pathways for pram and wheelchair access. Take insect repellent! There are mossies!

Cool go see the flying foxes are still living there although the population seems much smaller than it was over 10 years ago.

Nice war memorials, senior gardens and view of the canal. Nice green space, wish the walk was longer and more to explore.
Omg this is my happy place! There is something so peaceful and beautiful here that I haven't found in other botanical gardens. Its spacious enough that you do not feel crowded and yet, theres so much natural greenery that you feel like you are truly in nature and not a curated gardens. But beware! The bin chickens are nowhere in sight, but those Kookaburras? They are very 'friendly' and had no problems dive bombing our kebana WHILE we were eating it. 🤣
This park is super fun, friendly, and family oriented. There are occasional local live music bands play here which make you feel very calm and relaxed. Here, you will find two separate nice quality basketball courts that can be very busy, but you can always ask to join with other players. The children playground and the grass area are high, allowing you to oversee into the ocean. Opposite the park is a hotel with a Cafe which you can enjoy a cup of coffee.

This place is buzzing with lots of fun activies. High recommended.

Loved the walk, saw many kangaroos and 2 Koala Bears 😍
Best thing about this park are the nature tracks that lead to small wetlands with Birdlife. Grandson enjoyed this the most.playgrounds ok..flying fox ok in cool weather..no shade
Don't use large slides..dangerous...end up with back injury .
Smaller one ok.
Could do with some TLC overall.
Bbq area shaded toilets..couple of swings large space for running around.

Beautiful Full Blood Moon and quiet still night, ideal for sitting on the lookout and having a bliss moment of mindfulness before sunrise.
Great place to capture scenic views! Enjoyed a walk along the coastline until it ended. Easy parking. Toilets located near the playground. Cafe available in opposite direction.
Visiting the botanical garden was a truly enchanting experience. The diverse collection of plants and flowers in this garden is a sight to behold. I was captivated by the vibrant colors and the sheer variety of species on display. The well-maintained paths made it easy to explore the garden, and the informative signage provided interesting insights into the different plants and their origins. I particularly enjoyed the serene atmosphere and the opportunity to connect with nature in the heart of the city. Overall, a visit to this botanical garden is a perfect way to spend a peaceful and educational day surrounded by the beauty of the natural world.
Very nice garden with a beautiful lake. Lovely bridge over the lake with different plants and flowers. Not only walking around the lake, but more tracks to choose. Highly recommended.

Great park for the kids. Perfect for school aged. A bit too challenging for little ones I feel, though there is some fun stuff for them like the sand pit and water play. Toilets close by, coffee and takeaway across the road, plenty of parking when it's not swimming weather. Bbqs, picnic tables and gazebos, grass to kick a ball or the basketball hoops.
2023 Gold Coast Shiw. Free entry, excellent. Lots to see do and eat. A great venue for the annual show.
Awesome playground with great views

Great nature walk. Saw five kolas in the trees in a 1 hour walk. Zoom in on photos as they are to see as they were high in the trees. Also saw birds and kangaroos. Flat east trail, not busy at all.

Great playground for toddlers as well as older children. BBQ and flying fox too. Also has a lawned over for running around. Sandpit too.
We love this park! It has 2 play areas for the little kiddies and a half basketball court for the older kids. Plenty of shade from trees as well as from gazebos, perfect for picnics. It also has BBQ facilities, toilets and shower rooms.
This place is so beautiful and unique. It's great for all ages as it has delicate floral displays, fountains, and little forest trails with huts and sculptures.
Perfect for a date picnic.
The only criticism I would have is the toilets can be a little gross.
Very easy walk and guaranteed to see kangaroos. We also spotted 2 koalas. We walked all the trails, which was 11kms, but you can do shorter loop walks.

Unfold a table cloth, get your portable gas cooker, and cook up garlic prawns while overlooking the water.. add a packet of your pre mixed salad and a wine.. That's what I'd call a chilked arvo. There are also electric BBQS.
Nice place. If you want to see Kangaroos and koalas that's the place to go. It's a good area to have a stroll and some beautiful pictures. (I can't guarantee you'll see Koalas, but they are there).
Lovely walk among kangaroos and trees if you are luck you may spot a koala

Well maintained gardens. Lovely playgrounds for the kids. Plenty of picnic spots. Water body nearby. Trails all around the gardens. Clean toilets.
Plenty parking. Highly recommend
Lovely place to take kids and spend the day. Can get a bit busy at times, but there is a lot of fun to be had.
Looking very tired and rundown! Great facilities if you can ignore the big rocks kids have thrown on the shelters and the dents in the slides and toilet door. 🙄

It's one of the nice parks on the Gold Coast. Have picnic area with barbecues. One side is facing Gold Coast hwy. The other side is facing the Nerang river. Both sides are nice. Beautiful nature sounds on the side river. Many birds around. Makes your mind very relaxing.

Well done Council, a great park with clean amenities. Enjoyed an Australia Day BBQ there today.
This park is great for catching some sun nestled between two hills and the bike/walking track is amazing! Reminds me a bit of Gorge Rd at Athelston on the north eastern side of the city!
Very cute picnic and lunch area with undercover benches and green lawns.
Best reserve in Yanno for shore for sure.
Attended One Electric Day a concert in Broadwater Park a great afternoon headlining chocolate starfish, The Screaming Jets, Baby Animals, The Angel s, Noiseworks, and international artist the one and only Suzi Quatro had to be more than 5000 people easyin in and out on the tram system. One of the best line up of artists safe frenidly venue seen no problem staff security police and tram guard great job
Beautiful place for a walk, grab a coffee at the Boatshed, or lunch
What a great Gold Coast show in the beautiful Broadwater Park lands we took the kiddies to the show 2 days in a row free entry all the better more money 💰 to enjoy the rides and show bags 🎒 for the kids we will definitely be going next year.🤗🥰
The place is so good, rush and full of joy.
We played few games had fun.

Great place for a walking, see lots of kangaroos. Easy walking tarail( 2.3km ).
We couldn't see koalas but saw lots of kangaroos. Not really busy place even on Sunday.
Grandies would have liked the playground better if one of the flying foxes was working. Thank goodness for the hilly and winding tracks along the watercourse that was great for bike riding and bug catching.
It’s a really nice park and from here you can see the city and the sunrise too and you can take nice photos from here. And the Good Coast Show is made here.

We came here for a birthday party for people who live locally. It's a great park! 20 kids were entertained for 2 hours no problem. Flying foxes, slides, swings big open spaces, granola to follow.

Large space with several seating options, a children's playground and a very well equipped toilet facility. New electric BBQ with sink and running water.
This gem seamlessly combines the beauty of nature and well curated gardens featuring a wide variety of plants to discover. The themed trails offer a delightful and unique experience, and the picturesque short boardwalk through the palm tree forest is an unexpected and pleasant surprise.
Surely a calm and quiet place to spend a while walking along the trail with a fantastic view of the beach. Good for a family hike or go solo. No toilets in the vicinity and not suitable for picnics but these areas can be accessed in the parks not far off.

Great place to explore a bit of history. Very peaceful
Update 20 Nov 2021, there is new garden called Seniors Garden, there are many beautiful garden attractions mostly dedicated to Dementia Australia from Cedar House Mudgeeraba , I am very impressed with this new addition. I have been here about 11 times mostly passing through on my bike. It’s such an interesting park it’s multi purpose firstly a war memorial so some great history it view, secondly it’s home to the largest bat colony’s on the Gold Coast and lastly it’s a beautiful manicured garden with a huge variety of flowers also there is about 6 Barbecue s and riverside seating as well as a lush forest walk all in one small area... right in the city, so cool. Plenty of parking or you can just ride your bike or better walk so you miss nothing , bring your camera.
Best spot if you wanna meet wild cangaroos
The playground was mostly under construction when we got there. The slides are quiet steep and are not suitable for toddlers at all. Close to shops if you want to get something to eat after play time. No fences, so not great for little kids at all

Nice to take a rest. Very calm , peaceful, and fresh air. There are many of birds here so that you can hear many of varieties sounds here. Also you can see the wild bat here.
Thanks to Australian military who joined Korean war and we can see here the memorial. We will never forget about it.
Hundreds of Kangaroos! The gates automatically close at 6pm so make sure you get out in time or you get locked in.

Pleasant small local park. Quiet sitting area. Native fauna. Coastal breezes. No other facilities.
Nice place for photos of wallabies, kangaroos and if you’re lucky a Koala.
But beware. Do not leave valuables in your car as dirty drug addicted thieving human beings will smash your window and take your belongings.
Even if they are not worth anything.
