Excellent spot called in to walk the dog and let the kid play in the river and small beach. A lot of people were fishing but nobody was catching anything. A few people were using the BBQ and tables to eat. All in all, I will be going back with my family. Nice spot.
Great for walking, flat and suitable for all but wheelchairs as access is not easy & paths not wheelchair friendly. Don't come here if you're wanting to picnic or looking for children's playground, as it's not that kind of place. Come to enjoy the feel of a bit of lovely bushland in an otherwise urban environment. Spotted a tiger snake and Quenda today and listened to the clicks, bonks and drips of the beautiful frog calls all along the water way.

Was a great walk with our buddy . Amazing in closed dog area. Was nice to be able to walk with our furry friend on the mountain.
Parking on Steamer Wy. Under 3years might struggle getting around obstacles

Ok for play area for kids but nothing special as a walking destination. The place does not live up to its name
Nice place for family and individuals for picnic and spend a day with their lived ones. You can plan for picnic and bbq as well as drinking water is supplied.
Bonus: You cal plan for fishing and can get good sized breams as well.

Fun little park.. Good for the locals, I'd wouldn't say its worth a big drive to see it however

A small and quiet park, with a climbing frame, ropes, and a swing, alongside a seated picnic area and small field nearby. There’s a BMX track in the park too which looked pretty good.
Grabbed a good coffee at the Oak House and relaxed beside the river. You do need to check their opening hours.

Pretty little park good for a road stop. Convenient toilets and info centre.
It was a small park, but it is ideal for younger children, good park if you went for a walk and need to take a rest. Also there are water bubblers so if you forgot your bottle, you can hydrate yourself.

A small park with two climbing rope pieces of equipment, a slide and a swing. Climbing ropes in a bit of disrepair, and lots of litter around. A small grass area adjacent to the sand park, and generally okay for a quick stop.

A sand base park. So if you are like Anakin don't go there :)
My daughter loves coming here, she calls it the castle playground and has been a favorite of hers for a couple of years now.
There is a undercover table and chairs where you can sit and watch the kids play.
Natural wetlands, open to the public and is a Bush Forever, Heritage listed Reserve. Under 71 Ha, has pathways to walk on, made of road-base for safety.

In the warmer months, there are snakes, ticks and wildlife in the bushland, so recommend to stay on the paths. All dogs need to be on leashes or on the spot fines. Doggy disposal Poop bags and rubbish bins available at each gate entry points.

Best time to visit, Autumn and Spring...
People come here with and to do ;
Families, overseas tourists, locals, Community, hobby groups and for students educational purposes; free nature talks (with myself on Facebook) or book with City of Bayswater online....
Find us on Friends of Lightning Swamp Bushland, Facebook page. Enjoy your visit.

A lovely and quiet little park.
Nice little bush walk i recommend parking at lightning park rec centre and entering at that entrance
What a great place for families to hang out!!! There are plenty of shaded grassy areas, clean barbeques, clean & stocked toilets, a sandpit & playground, a kid-friendly jetty and shallows at the edge of the river. There are lots of children learning to fish, families on standup paddle boards and kayaks- all around just lots of families hanging out together!! Perfect easy afternoon spent by the river.

Nice small park
Nice little walking track in the middle of town. Located on the south side of the railway tracks. Although once you are on the walking trail you wouldn't know you were in town.
Even has stations all along the trail with information about wildlife, a little quiz and a little workout if you're keen.
Nice tiny park, good to take a little rest here and behind the park, there is a parking area for free “for now”.

Good park. Quite small but has a good dirt bike track for kids.
Ah Garratt road bridge Park; I love rowing down the river, i have enjoyed many a sunset picnics. I sometimes come out here to fish under the bridge, and have caught many bream. I know a few other locals that frequent this spot and enjoy what it has to offer. A van - "shakes are us" also parks up on weekends, and I don't mind a cheeky coffee and croissant. My dog loves the dog beach at the other end.
Beautiful big grassy area surrounded by massive gum trees that leads into regenerated rainforest bordering national park.

Pristine piece of remnant bush with a wide varity of landscapes. Has a small population of roos living within the bush. Plenty of nice walk trails and full of life and diversity which is on display during spring
Try this out Shake R Us its very good Burger and also great Coffee..The Owner Michael n his Son doin a very good job Well done Guys
I love this bushland reserve.
Went walking there today with my dog.
She didn’t want to leave!
It was windy & very wet there today
and I had thoughts of leaving but my dog urged me to keep walking!!
Shortly afterwards we spotted a fox.
I took a pic of it (from a distance) before it quickly darted away once it was aware of our presence.
On another occasion I came across a very large kangaroo (in a clearing)
right near the boardwalk that runs parallel to the swamp.
I wondered if it was injured as normally kangaroos quickly dart away.
This one didn’t though I made sure I kept a safe distance from it.
Eventually it just slowly moved away.
This a great place to appreciate and enjoy our wonderful bushland reserve’s.
All in all it’s one of our favourite places to go for a walk.

One of the best parks on Spring Mountain to bring your toddlers, as there is sand instead of the usual wooden chips as a floor.
Easily wandered 7+ km here with my friend and our 2 dogs (though this was partly due to minimal trail signage or location markers but that wasn't a big problem for us). Lots of cool abandoned automotive + farming equipment to stumble upon while on your exploration as well as a few plants I had not seen before.

Awesome little space for an evening out. There are no communal facilities. There is a tap for drinking water and a covered bench area.

It's a nice little park at the end of Gallery Walk. You could say it's a little oasis from all the buzz on the street. A place to relax and view some large sculptures.

Next door is the cheese factory which has live music and what not.
Nice clean park area that has a walkway that goes through to the Baigup Wetlands. They had a playground with a pelican slide just off the Garratt Road walkway. there was a pathway that went deeper but I didn't go past the playground.
Dry scrubby bushland. Google had a track marked where none none existed. It seemed as though some clown had driven their trail bike around the memorial digging up the ground. These idiots need stringing up!

😍😍😍😍
Nice place to walk more maps for walking would be great
Great 4 the kids.
A nice park for kids to run around and play.
Beautiful swamp spider orchids, 3 kangaroos, and a little blue fairy wren. Only a made a short stop here today but I'll certainly be coming back.
Lots of quiet bushy walking trails.
Well kept stretch of the river with good views which is excellent for a picnic in the warmer months. Park can become busy at times. On weekends the local coffee truck frequents the car park. Children's playground is adequate. On the residential side of the car park is a wooden walkway up to Ellis House - worth a peek for those photographically inclined.

前往德國小鎮經過的一個漂亮公園,很好散步休息的地方,旁邊還有一個遊客中心!
A contrasting mix of plants and birds throughout the seasons, natural pools in Winter and random blooming local flora during the drier months. A few options for walking tracks, closed shoes suggested as a bare minimum (bull ants) and waterproof for the wetter months for those feeling adventurous.
