Went during the Easter long weekend and although we knew a surcharge was going to be added didn’t know it would be 20% of the bill… bit steep I thought. But the service was worth it. Kuddos to the waiter who was also the bartender who serviced all the patrons by himself that night and still came to check in on how we all were going throughout the dining experience.
The food was great especially the steak and the pulled pork from the lux board.
The kids loved the sprinkles on top of the icecream with choice of sauce. Wish the meal came with a free juice though.
Cocktail was yum :)
Thanks for a great meal~
Had the pepper steak pie today, awesome👍good spice, nice gravy/sauce, chunks of meat. Pastry was strong& soft, well done to the bakers

Great place for breakfast and coffee. Scrambled eggs and bacon came with generously buttered toast. One of the few places around here that has cold drip coffee.

The chicken baguette is the best. But you need to be early to get it! This is the bakery for the Dough stall in the central market, so their baked goods are just as excellent. The Bircher muesli and cooked breakfasts are also delicious - nothing fancy, but good quality ingredients cooked well.
The meals at rsl club r very nice and nice and friendly staff and people r nice there
Latte art was great, but personally not my favourite type of coffee flavour. It was a bit acidic and sharp, not that smooth. I think coffee bean is from five sense. Coffee was ordinary.

<French toast with cream, lemon curd and crumble>
It was a very balanced dish, neither too sweet nor heavy. Lemon curd was not that tangy and easily to accept if you don’t like sour things. I personally preferred it to be more sour. Cream has a hit of saltiness, surprisingly tasty! Highly recommend~

<chill crab scramble egg on sourdough>
Chill paste was spicy and sour. It can taste crab inside. The whole dish was very flavourful but balanced.

Service was also attentive and friendly
Lovely staff, great atmosphere and vibe. And food is nice.
I have tried the chicken and waffles and it was tooooo sweet for me as sugar taste was dominant.
Haloumi burger was nice I asked them to serve it on a piece of sourdough, they didn’t have any and instead served on a piece of rye.
They have good options but they don’t have any pastries on weekends, they do on weekdays.
However they accomodate me with their last croissant which was fresh and nice.
They have many plants which makes it a lovely place and dogs are allowed in the outside setting.
Coffee is ok.
And you can either park in the parking next to it or on back street.
Highly recommend this place.
Had one of the best brunches of my life here. Best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had. Highly recommend. Cool vibe and great atmosphere.
I really enjoyed my experience here - it’s definitely a meeting place . The atmosphere is quite lively , and it’s situated down a small laneway right near the Central Market .
There is indoor and outdoor seating , and they also sell some condiments and specialised food items , as well as a selection of cookbooks, and some hot chocolate powder from Morks, which is a specialised well known chocolate shop in Melbourne .
Market street cafe also have their own little bakery , which means fresh in house bread .
Their coffee of choice was D’Angelo , which is a local coffee roaster , with a deep chocolaty taste. I had an iced almond latte and enjoyed this brew .
Gluten free options are not particularly wide , but I did have a Reuben sandwich with a twist , ( with kimchi and gochujang mayo ) and was pleasantly surprised by the gluten free bread , which was thick and seeded - delicious.
Worth a visit, especially if you visit the Central Market.

A great little cafe if you're in Knox Shopping Centre, and after a coffee & sandwich. I'm currently sitting here at the moment early on a Saturday morning, having a creamy coffee and lovely toasted sandwich. It cost $10.90 for the two, which is about what you pay at most places for the same these days. Plenty of seating, friendly service, and tasty food. They're positioned right next to the main food court in the centre, so it's a big open area, and the only possible negative might be it could get a bit noisy. But at the moment, it's great!

Served by an incompetent girl took my coffee and took the first sip it was like drinking piss i threw it out. Have been a loyal customer since day 1 and since the staff have changed this is definitely not the place to go to
Premium pastries but still delivering quality basics.

DO NOT GO. THE TABLES WERE THINK WITH DIRT , ONE COULD SCRAPE IT OFF, IT MUST HAVE TAKEN YEARS OF POOR CLEANING, HOW FILTHY: add. This is nothing to do with works, it's just filthy owner , repeat, do not believe their reply below. They laughed when I left !!, don't bother putting spin on it Louise
I had a fantastic experience ordering a takeaway coffee. The quality of the coffee surpassed my expectations, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. What truly stood out was the warm and welcoming attitude of the staff. They greeted me with a smile and ensured that the entire interaction was pleasant. It's refreshing to encounter such positive customer service, making this visit truly enjoyable.

Terrible hospitality.

I ordered an iced mocha and after taking a few sips, I realised there wasn't enough ice. I approached a slightly older gentleman at the register and requested more ice. He said: "You should have ordered iced latte as it has ice." I retorted: "So iced mocha doesn't have ice?" Conceding, he put more ice into the drink.

To this gentleman, you work in the hospitality industry, if you don't know how to be nice, what business do you have taking orders?
Never have I walked away from a meal still feeling hungry. One small piece of meat no bigger then a slice of Strasbourg and as dry as a leather boot. small corn smaller then my pinkie and not much thicker then my thumb, two pieces of carrot not even half a carrot all up. Not worth the money at all. Smaller then any kids meal I've ever ordered not to mention excessive wait time. Over 30 min for an entree sorry but that's not an acceptable time frame. Meals were 20min behind.

Coffee was OK (lukewarm) and the $$ pastries were hit and miss - the rhubarb crumble was overcooked (borderline burnt) and the pull apart bun was hard and lacking flavour (I didn't finish it). The Chai morning bun was tasty, if that's your thing (strong chai flavour).

Service was a little slow and stressy.

It has potential but there are lots of better bakeries and coffee spots close by...

Good sized portions for a reasonable price. Solid drink selection as well.

Food lacked seasoning, the bacon wasn't cooked properly and the toast was soft
Sensational Brunch

First time diner on morning and the cafe was still very busy for good reason. I had the beetroot & corn fritters with a side of bacon (pic) which was sensational. Corn fritters can be "gluey" but not these light puffy pillows of deep fried delight! While not cheap, the meal was generous and the quality ingredients shone. Quick, friendly, efficient service with a funky vibe topped off a very enjoyable brunch experience. I'll try the crab omelette next time

Great cocktails and friendly staff. It's not very convenient when the toilet is not located within the shop so we had to be guided by the staff and they had to open the toilets door for us, so I got them 4 stars. Otherwise, pleasantly enjoyed here. You can book a table in advance. They don't have tap beers which we prefer. There is a paid parking nearby.

We sat down and ordered a cherry ripe smoothie which was delicious! Highly recommended.

Unfortunately the food was a let down. The chilli scramble on croissant was pretty ordinary, the eggs were cooked well but lacked flavour and the croissant tasted low quality as in it wasn't flakey and didn't provide any buttery pastry taste.

The zucchini fritters were decent, the fritters were crispy and the beetroot hummus was nice. The eggs were cooked well and the bacon we added was crispy.
Good shop if you need a quick fix whilst in the vicinity. Lots of variety & quick service. Price is great.

Beautiful morning atmosphere when the sun is shining, both inside and outside on the ‘on street’ dining area. In my opinion, amongst one of the best coffee spots in the CBD. Never falls short. Compared to other coffees, perhaps Market St Cafe is on the pricier side, but unlike some other overpriced coffee places, it’s actually good. One of my frequents, working towards having the staff call me by name.

Lux meat platter - delicious and filling, great flavours.
(Green/blue drink) Hawaii time - sweet and everything you'd love if you like vodka cruisers but elevated!
Whiskey cocktail- great for an elevated whisky
Toasted marshmallow espresso Martini - 10/10 reccommend if you're a coffee lover, was an amazing coffee/cocktail

Service - 10/10, wasn't massively busy so we were looked after really well. Had a great chat with the bartender/waiter/(owner?) & even tipped, service was fantastic and a lovely atmosphere
Good food and lovely setting, but the flavours need better balance. The waffles that came with the fried chicken were borderline tooth-achingly sweet. Otherwise, we loved the visit. Chilli crab was good. The orange cold drink was excellent.

Came here today for coffee and a mini video shoot. The team was so kind, welcoming, helpful with anything I needed. And because I forgot something I paid for my coffee to come bk to the old coffee to still film. But the staff decided to make me a whole fresh cuppa! How amazing, thank you guys for your anazing service and care for customers. Keep it up!
Great cafe, convenient to stop at on the way to a morning hike in the hills. Many yummy options for breakfast or to pack as lunch. The beef and mushroom pie was very good!
Great coffee and staff. The best mince pies I've had for years
Purchased a take-away from Everest Chinese on the 18/10/23. It was bland, the vegetables overcooked and the "chicken" ??? was tasteless. Cost was $25 with a small rice. Rip-off. Will definitely not be eating at Everest again. It was absolutely disgusting. The Club Bistro is excellent.

Staff are so friendly and helpful!
Iced latte was delicious.
I was here on a Saturday morning for breakfast, and the food truly stole the show! The maple roasted pumpkin and chili crab scramble were absolutely amazing. I also enjoyed the cold pressed juice and my friend ordered a hot chocolate. The banana bread was delicious and was accompanied by butter and MAPLE SYRUP, my new favourite combination!!
While the staff seemed a bit busy, it didn't dampen the experience. The food earns this place a solid five stars!

Lovely and calming cafe! Pancakes had fresh fruit, a nice crunch and were amazing!!
Always amazing food, friendly service and clean venue. We love going to the RSL for dinner with the kids, and the occasional lunch date while the kids are at school. The food is amazing and well priced with a large variety of choices.
The staff are always welcoming and friendly.
The venue is kept amazing and clean even the smokers area is cleaned.
I think this place was really amazing. We came an hour before closing time, yet the staff didn't pressure us to order or pay. The atmosphere was light with everyone enjoying their meals. The prices were a bit high but the quality of the food makes up for it. I ordered the chicken and waffles, which had the most amazing sriracha maple syrup. 10/10!
We were going there for the raffles, the food and the atmosphere but recently everything has gone down hill big time.

Raffles are brilliant...

Food.. disgusting, would no longer eat there. The whole was sick. Ordered food, sweet and sour was almost all batter, Mongolian lamb tasted like the beef and black. Even had broccoli when someone was allergic.

Staff were rude last night. Made to feel incredibly unwelcome. Our usual Wednesday night out is now over.

Would suggest going to the Worker's Club. Better food, friendlier staff and great atmosphere. Better parking for disabled people too. Ground is flat.
Veeeery expensive. The lamb sausage roll was so greasy I couldn't eat it. The pastry was lovely although overpriced. The coffee was only average. The bin was overflowing. Not nice. I would not come again.

Rustic vibe in the cafe. Love the interior deco of plants. Good coffee. Music can be a little too loud, and you might need to shout over each other. Food was good, fries were crispy, sauce was delicious. Chicken and sweet waffle were a great combo with maple syrup drizzle. Fritters tasted good too with it's sauce.

Bottomless brunch was more than perfect. Plenty of food and fabulous drinks. Great outdoor setting with a 10/10 lunchtime DJ to bring in the sunny day vibes. Heaters at hand when the day turned to a chilly night. The staff made us feel like the real VIP’s. Was finally able to visit the newly opened bistro bar located in Wollongong Mall and I’m impressed by the fantastic atmosphere and excellent staff. The food is excellent, with the scrambled eggs being the best I've had for a while. As for the coffee, creamy and tasty. The waffle was perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the toasted almonds and whipped cream on top added just the right amount of sweetness. It was clear that a lot of care and attention went into crafting this dish. The coffee was also top-notch - rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of acidity. It was the perfect accompaniment to the waffle.

Couldn't speak more highly of 3 Sons Cafe, wife was promptly helped to our table with staff offering to push the pram whilst I was taking in our dog. YES! Dog fridndly! They even provided a water bowl for our Chow Chow Theo.
Staff were very friendly and periodically checked in on us and also provided hot water to warm up milk for our newborn.
Food was really good quality and seasoned well with generous portion sizes.
Would definitely recommend and come back again in the future, something quite unexpected in the heart of Keysborough.

Have been a loyal paying customer for 6 years and have made a great rapour with staff, after paying for 2 coffee I was simply saying hi to the staff when the owner marched to me and said stop wasting the staffs time, they're busy and to get a life, very upset and confused as I certainly didn't deserve to be spoken to like that. Witnesses said he had bipolar and mental issues as I never had an with issue him previously.

Lux Bistro Bar & Café is a standout dining destination that offers something for everyone. The beautifully presented and delicious food, generous portions, and impressive drink selection are just the beginning. The bar was well-stocked with a wide range of drinks, including some of the best cocktails I've ever had. The establishment is well-run and professional, making it a great option for families. The highlight of our visit was chatting with the talented chef who was knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. His attention to detail was evident in every bite. Great coffee. Plenty of seating indoors and some outside. Also has a nice fresh selection of pastries too which is great. Located just a few steps off Gouger Street, it’s a great spot to stop by if you’re looking for a coffee.
Attended a free concert featuring Amber Lawrence who released a new album in October 2022. Good mix of tracks on playlist including both new and older original work along with some well chosen covers.
I didn't expect that they had a branch opened in this area. They had wide range of pastries and I bought croissant for my friend. I ordered a cappuccino and a flat white for take away as well. The coffee was tasty. The staff appeared to be a little uninvested, lacking smiles, conversation and étiquette.

Cute little place with a mix of antiques and quality coffee, one of my favourite places in Stawell. Nice scones although these aren’t always available. Be aware opening hours depend on the owner so google may not have correct information. The cafe mainly does coffee not food, so if you’re looking for something to eat you’ll need to go somewhere else first.

Small cute place to get a quick snack and drink.
I have had prawn dumplings, rice noodles and schnitzel salad. I like it. The staff is lovely.
Just had the best pie of my life. Normally their pies range from good to great, but this was perfect in every way for my tastes.

The sausage roll was bad, not the worst ever, but very dry and overcooked. It was seasoned nicely though, so it has potential.

What a find. Great food, friendly service and the added bonus of excellent coffee. First time there today. Definitely will be back.
Well. We returned today. 6/4/22. Had the lamb salad. Superb. Can highly recommend this place.
Nop !!! The coffee, bread and croissants are good, but the cleanliness of this place leaves a lot to be desired. It's always messy, it's very easy to have a real bin, the staff can sometimes be in a bad mood when you arrive for a coffee an hour before closing time.
So NOP !
Stopped here for a snack. We both chose a big breakfast.
Food was fresh and a huge plate of food. Staff were extremely welcoming, polite and helpful.
Prices are exceptionally good for value and quality.

My favourite cafe in Stawell. Located at the historic end of the Main Street, the Gallery Cafe offers lovely coffee, with great service. Lots of antiques, collectables, and art to keep you interested. If you weren't planning on turning off the highway, change your mind and pop in.

If you're travelling west, turn off just after Sisters Rocks, follow Patrick Street down and it's right on the corner of the Main Street. Be sure to have a good look around the area, because the Gallery Cafe is nestled amongst some of the town's most important historical buildings.

Plenty of parking, great service, great coffee. And Covid safe.

A beautiful and vibrant cafe tucked away in the quiet suburbia, 3 Sons delivers the inner-city vibes to Keysborough with amazing food and impeccable service. The missus and I ordered the 3 Sons Veg-Out, the Smashed Avo and a side of spiced wedges along with drinks, which all came pretty quick given it was lunch rush hour. The attention to detail in the presentation was spot-on and the flavours hit every spot, the serving sizes were a touch conservative yet still very fulfilling. Great members deals, very friendly staff, heaps of vegan / vegetarian options and a nice outdoor dining area to boot - I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

On a more personal note for those of us local to Melbourne, we know all too well how devastating the past year has been for businesses due to the pandemic. Especially the loss of Valentine's Day weekend last week - one the busiest of the year. Despite every setback, watching the team at 3 Sons adapt, switch gears, and step-up to keep locals like us engaged with generous promos and deals has been nothing short of inspiring. You offered us BOGOF mains today in spite of already losing a year's worth of business - that kind of hospitality does not go unnoticed. We will be back! :)

Totally couldn't help myself today after a cardio session at Bodyfit next door 😅😅😅. Got a fruit Danish and a chocolate custard croissant-ish type of thing. So good 🤤🤤🤤. Nice and flaky for both of them. The fruit Danish had a nice tangy and sweet flavour, and the chocolate custard was very smooth - almost likely a mousse.
First time we've ordered from here. An SOS burger and a Spicy hot burger. JUST WOW! There is absolutely nothing to fault. Every element is perfect. Price is very reasonable. I'll definitely be ordering from here again.
A very nice bakery with lovely staff and a range of hot and cold bakery items.

I reapy enjoyed the mushroom and steak pie. Sausage roll was good but not a lot of spice.

Desert was a custard berlina real nice.

Staff were great which made it a great experience.

Convenient location inside Burnside Village. Coffee was luke warm and otherwise unremarkable.
Smoked salmon on rye was good.
Chicken breast schnitzel roll was terrible; while the bun was ok the chicken was as tough as leather, grey and not nice at all. Not sure how you could make it this bad.
Service was reasonably quick given the busyness of the centre.
Over $40 for a basic lunch for two at this sort of place is a bit of a stretch.
Unlikely to return.

Lovely new neighbourhood gem tucked away in an unassuming industrial pocket. The eggs benedict was perfect – yolky egg; high quality, crispy bacon; fresh vegetables – and served at the perfect temperature. The salt and pepper calamari was soft and freshly made.

The food was served quickly enough, yet was made with care. The owner, Brent, is very receptive to feedback, which was very refreshing.

The service was warm, welcoming and friendly; the staff treated us like family. Thank you, Anne-Marie, Brent and all the others – we wish you every success and hope to return soon!

These were what we ordered and after 20 min of wait these are what came. The waiter said only one word when she came. “Burger.” When asked why there was only one skinny chicken strip she said,”if that’s what it says on the menu then that’s what you get.” My husband ordered a sourdough melt $13.99 and that’s what he got, a thin slice of bread with spread of avocado, and scantily layered salad. Go figure.

Central spot for coffee cakes and light bites. Pretty pricey for what it is though.
Very tasty sandwich, great coffee, our 8 year old loved his milk shake. Very friendly, top quality service. Good value too. Can't ask for more!
