Lovely place to go and wonder around for a few hours on a Sunday arvy. Smart people even brought picnics and found a lovely spot to relax.

The Bonsai collection was a highlight for me. My kids were completely baffled by the staghorns in the Fern House.

I will need another visit to check out the ducks. Next time,....
👍:
-If you like plants and trees/planet stuff, you'll like this place
-Plenty of parking
-Huge area to walk and trekking routes are available also as well.

👎:
-Youll need to reserve a ticket early in order to get into the planetarium shows.
Amazing botanic gardens, so big you can wander for hours, many distinct zones, beautifully laid out, and Free is nice. Desert section is beautiful, but only the tip of the iceberg. Can bring a picnic, come back again and again. Bonsai house is 👌
Beautiful place for nice fresh air, family and friends activities, relaxing and add you information about the nature life, trees and flowers. And if you lucky like we were you might find something special like events. We even watch fireworks that day 😍😄 what a special day👏🏻.
If you like botanical garden, then this place is a must to visit. It has various plants and a planetarium on site. Very big so it definitely will take a while to explore the place. It's very easy to get to the garden, you can drive or use public transport. It's free too! So no reason not to visit.
The gardens always beautiful to walk through
The illuminate fire show was ok needed more of a light show to enhance the experience... once you saw one burning pot you'd seen them all...
$42 a little on the rich side
The free event on North Terrace was more entertaining... and it was for free
Really beautiful botanical gardens. They are very well maintained and admission is free. There are quite a lot of cool plants and you can really relax. I can only recommend a visit.
Although the botanic gardens have lots of disability friendly paths, it's disappointing that the Santos Museum of Economic botany is inaccessible to wheelchairs, walkers, prams etc. Luckily, my husband was able to carry my walker up the stairs while I navigated the steps, but had he been unable to lift my walker I would have missed out on a very interesting tour of the museum. I realise that historical buildings have restrictions on what can be altered. However, I believe that all public buildings should be made accessible to all.
It’s beautiful. Especially I came there when it was the end of autumn, on King’s birthday. There were yellow leaves and everything looked fantastic. It was not too hot not too cold. The beginning of June is the best time to visit the garden.

This place is a one of a kind garden on the island. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly worker who told me a little bit about the garden and the owner with his collection in the museum. It was raining to the day prior so the grass was wet which affected my jeans and boots - but don’t let that stop you from having an amazing time. As I walked around the place, I breathed in the fresh air, studied the plants & their fun facts, and took many pictures of the place. I would definitely come back if I was in Bruny Island again!
Unbelievably beautiful and almost fairytale like garden. It's a great place to get away from the busy city life. There are also many beautiful birds and interesting plants to look at. No tickets are needed for this place and it is free to enter. So if you are travelling Adelaide on a budget you should definitely consider this!👍
Large, peaceful gardens located right next to Brisbane’s CBD. Plenty of walking trails to take you past the largely sub-tropical plants and trees on display. You walk along the river’s edge for variety, or continue along the riverside walk north or south to the rest of the city.
Absolutely beautiful and must visit botanical garden!! Amazing views, many trails( easy to moderate hikes), wheelchair friendly, Lots of varieties of native plants and few endangered plants as well. Very well maintained, pristine lawn areas, beautiful flowers, perfect place for family and friends to spend time together. Great place to go on dates and picnics. Has a cafe on site and clean restrooms as well. Can easily spend a whole day walking around the park. Can take a local bus to get to the park and it is absolute free. Great view of the city. Highly recommend to spend some time in the park.
An amazing and beautiful park situated in west Perth where you can get a stunning view of the city sky line. There are lots of paths to explore and places to sit and take it all in as well as have picnics. It is a park but also a garden with a lot of Perth and Western Australian flora. The grass is immaculate and it’s definitely a must visit. This is also where all the Anzac memorials take place too as there is a tribute there for our fallen soldiers
A great place to explore. Take a water bottle and food. Enjoy the walks and have a picnic or rest in the many park benches. I’d love to go back in spring to see all the wildflowers in bloom.
It is very nice to have a garden next to a river. For the first time in my life, I saw trees with multiple roots. Walking and sitting by the river gave me peace. There were beautiful lotuses in the lagoon.
Be sure to look up! We only scratched the surface of this large park and gardens.

Great views over the water. Beautiful gardens. Walking paths. We saw beautiful Rainbow Lorikeets in the trees. Impressive trees, monuments, gardens.
This is a very large park and botanical garden, it takes a day to walk around. It's recommended to bring water and food. From here, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city center. Here, you'll find the most comprehensive collection of native Australian plants, beautiful and unique, with some being endangered species.

Absolutely beautiful gardens and a great place to relax. Lots of different walking paths and some of the tallest eucalyptus trees I have ever seen. There is a free guided tour everyday starting at 1030am near the coffee shop. The highlight was the Amazonia water lilies, which is grown is a special green house.
First visit to Perth and Kings Park was on the list to do. Absolutely fabulous Park and Botanic Gardens. Lawns are pristine and you can walk almost everywhere. Well maintained paths and signage and beautiful views in ever direction. Bridges and towers to explore along with a cafe that serves great burgers and chips. Gift shop was pricey but expected. So good we came back on our last day in Perth and sat near the Eternal flame for a few hours. Magnificent.
One of the largest city park in the world!
Gorgeous view of the city and great place to gather for friends and family.

Great multi difficulties jogging/walking tracks with few outlook that showcase the area.
Cute date idea to have picnic and a walk, or you can come to the gift shop. They have a cute cafe next to it.

Do check the weather.
Some of the tracks are wheelchair and stroller friendly.
You can reach the park easily by bus or a 20-25mnts walk from the central.

Will come back? YES

Very peaceful
Adelaide Botanic Garden is a delightful oasis in the heart of the city, showcasing diverse landscapes and a stunning array of plants. It's a perfect blend of natural beauty and educational opportunities, with guided tours and workshops highlighting conservation efforts. Whether you're seeking tranquility, inspiration, or a family-friendly outing, this botanical garden offers a memorable experience for all visitors.
Amazing sunrise again in the West! This is one of my favourite places on Earth. A massive 1000 acres bigger then New York's Central Park! For me, it's always the view to the city and to the South, on a good day you can see the cranes in the Port of Fremantle. Get there. Here. Put it on your bucket list!
Beautifully laid out. The plants were amazing! You can tell the people who work here care.

It was busy so we parked a bit of a distance away. It didnt feel busy in the park.

Lots of options for children to explore, play and learn. Toilet facilities and water bubblers easy to find.

Really great day!
Peaceful and breath taking. Well maintained. No ticket required. Parking a bit tricky but available along side of the roads. Enjoyed my relaxing weekend. Will definitely revisit.
A beautiful place to spend the day exploring & enjoying a picnic in serenity. Recommend picking up a map from the Visitor Centre. We explored all sections by foot but there are car parks throughout if you’d like to get to a specific part. There is a lot to see! Wheelchair friendly concrete paths but also sloping in some sections can be difficult if you have a manual wheelchair. A very photogenic place. We enjoyed seeing wildlife plus art pieces & signage throughout. The cafe serves great coffee!

🚗 Main Carpark plus several around the outer garden sections

This place is really special. Visited today in the rain and had it all to myself. It’s clear to see how much care, work, expertise and love has gone into this garden. It’s beautiful, and the accompanying museum is fascinating. There was literally way too much for me to be able to look at in my visit today; I’ll be back as soon as I can for another visit (next time with my binoculars for some bird-spotting also).

I’m a bit torn in writing this review, as I want as many people as possible to have this fantastic experience, however I also don’t want to see the place get loved a bit too much like some places around Bruny are becoming. My hope is that many people can enjoy Inala and through that enjoyment, gain an appreciation of how unique Bruny is, beyond the instagrammable moments.
It is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen. There are small puddles inside. It has become the natural habitat of water lilies and ducks. The varieties of trees and flowers are worth seeing. Various birds also visit such a natural environment and give a concert with their voices. I recommend you to stop and rest here while visiting the city.
Lovely place to relax and unwind in the busy city, maybe a picnic and a place for art. There was people doing yoga, painting, kids playing and lots of birds. There are fresh water eels in the ponds, I enjoyed watching them. The bats up on the trees can be very loud! Lots of flowers and some spiders in their webs between the bush, they (probably) won't attack. I was surprised that there wasn't any mosquitos or bugs that bite us, that was a plus.
Such a beautiful and peaceful place in the middle of the city centre, located directly beside the river.

Lots of beautiful plants and flowers, water dragons and birds.

At some places you feel like you're in the middle of the jungle/rainforest.

Also a perfect spot for photo shoots.
The picnic I spent here was very peaceful and fantastic. The weather was perfect under the sun and the sky was very beautiful. I was so happy that I lost track of time. I recommend this place if you want to spend a convenient time. You'll be able to spend a cup of coffee and some spare time. If I come back to Adelaide, I will definitely revisit it.

I spent over 3 hours here - absolutely stunning! Gorgeous for weddings or garden parities. Toilet facilities were decent. Restaurant on site and the wine spot was brilliant too. Wear comfy walking shoes, hat & sunscreen; don’t forget your water bottle
Great spot on a hot day, lots of shady areas and the dahlias are magnificent.
This is really a big park in the middle of Brisbane city where you can come to walk, running, chilling, cycling or have a picnic. I enjoy seeing a lot of plants and flowers. Also a lot of place to sit and chill. The river view is amazing too! Recommend it!
If you’ve had enough of the chaos of the city, slip into the tranquility of the gardens for a bit of respite. They’re on the river, right in the middle of everything. Lush open grass parklands with lots of shade trees, beautiful water features and as the name suggests a vast display of different plants both native and exotic. It is a very beautiful setting with wide sealed walkways and plenty of seating throughout the various sections. There’s a great shaded cafe and markets on Sunday.
Beautiful little Botanic Garden, dog friendly with some benches/tables for morning tea. Toilets need a clean/upgrade, but usable.

Beautiful area to visit.
Nice gardens and an interesting museum. Bathrooms are also well kept and clean. The gift shop is cute too.
Only downfall is the gravel road and its a bit out of the way from everything else but we are glad we found it, it's a nice stop on Bruny.
Stunning gardens! Great variety of plants, especially natives. Lots of great info around the track as well.

Also got bogged in the carpark (my fault lol) and the amazing people who run the place helped me out

A well thought out space with alternate routes suitable for those with disabilities to be able to take in all there is to offer. Even on a cold wet day there were lots of people visiting.

A fully glass house (greenhouse) in the Botanical Garden.
A nice garden with water feature to look apon while sitting at the cafe while having your lunch or in the seating provided in the garden
Blooming dahlia are really beautiful. Various types, various colors. Love being here and taking lots of pictures.
I planned to just take a stroll, but was stunned by the beautiful Dahlia flower sea. It's a lovely botanical garden and definitely worth a visit.

Hossein and Angela Valamanesh's creations are works of art.

The Garden of Health is accessible through the Gingko Gates, which are located at the western entrance to the Adelaide Botanical Gardens. Easiest way to reach here is by using the Adelaide tram services.

A type of tree called gingko biloba, which has been utilised for generations in traditional medicine, is now used as a pharmaceutical supplement in Western countries. The artwork was motivated by the species.

It's beautiful. Formby Monarch, Formby Duke and Glenmarc Kadina were my favourites
This was such a lovely experience, refreshing after my big drive along Ocean Road. So many 💐 blossoms and even though spring is well and truly over the gardens still looked beautiful. The view by the river a photographers dream. I even found a flower named after my nice Phoebe Francis.
It is definitely a good place for education about nature facts. However, many factors prevented this place from being attractive. First, getting here requires about 5km of drive on gravel road. Second, most of the plants here are flowers, so during summer or winter they’re all greens (so not picturesque if that’s what you’re looking for). Third, there are quite staff shortage here, as I only saw one man there, but he was very helpful anyway, so kudos.

Price is $10pp and $5 for kids
Lovely small Botanical Gardens. Beautiful array of roses aswell as many other flowers in bloom. Has a Crochet Grass in centre that can’t be walked on but makes for a lovely green centre piece. A few areas require a bit more upkeep but was still a lovely public free garden.

Usually this place is filled with dahlias but since I went during the end of winter, it’s all just dead plants. There place has a chair under a tree in the middle and a plaque on the front of the bush which is visible when you walk through the front. A recent addition is a nearby water fountain which can be used to refill your water bottle and is very useful during summer.

small area with a few benches and a fair few plants. there is a nearby toilet on the edge of the gardens if you need it. I usually go and take bird photos around here as its fairly quiet spot and there's a lot of birds that fly around the place. there's a fair few fruit bats hanging in the nearby trees do fly around a bit.

Very impressive gate! Even in winter the botanical garden is worth a short visit.
I visited in late Summer and the gardens were beautiful. Quite a variety of colourful blooms, a few trails here and there, (though it's a mid-sized park) and just generally a beautiful place to visit. If you want a longer walk, head out and wander along the canal. I'd suggest parking on Cliff street to enter.
A bit of a drive but worth it. Extremely peaceful with beautiful grounds. It was so quiet that you could hear birds flapping their wings as they flew over, a lovely way to disconnect and relax while among a great curated collection of plants

Nice small area with a lot of different types of plants surrounding a central pond area. There tends to be a lot of bees around the area as i went in early spring. There weren’t any lily pad flowers at the time unfortunately but that is probably because I went in the wrong season. Definitely a good place to go and see though. There were a few flowers on the plants around the outside area of the sunken garden.

Nice architecture design of the building with the symmetry. There is a cactus garden near the entrance of the building which has lots of different types of cactus such as the golden barrel cactus. There is a small palm tree in the centre of the building which wasn’t very big when I went to see it. Off to one side of the building, there is a small fountain with some small plants in it. When I went, I found that it gets very hot in there.

Such a pretty building, it changes the way it looks in different lighting conditions. It has gorgeous architecture.
It is set in stone really pretty gardens and is such a relaxing spot.
I really enjoyed these Bot Gardens. When I travel I always make an effort to see the local Gardens. It is a quiet place to relax right next to the main port and a very short walk from town. While there I decided to do a spot of yoga on the well managed lawns. Well done Portland.
Lovely place to wonder and a beautiful place with many amenities around. It is relatively a small garden, but It was actually a pleasant surprise. A little river runs along one side. The water was nice and clear. No entrance fees. So many lovely photo opportunities. I never had an issue finding it in Portland. Another added feature to this spectacular water land. Suggest you pay a visit. I really enjoyed it.

Well maintained formal garden that represents Cactus and Succulent plants outside. Inside the beautiful Edwardian Glass House is a Madagascar themed collection. By far the best kept Edwardian Glass House that I have seen, on paar with the Kew Gardens Glass House but on a much smaller scale and only representative of one climatic zone. It is really great for photos in the mornings and afternoons.
Beautiful place!

I had a lazy afternoon to waste, so I went to the Botanic Gardens. It turned out to be completely 'not wasted' as I spent a good 30+ minutes in the Dahlia Garden taking photo's. What a hidden little gem this is. Packed full of different varieties, most open or opening, bees, ladybirds and other insects enjoying the wonderful aroma. It has become one of my favourite places in the garden amongst all the other favourites.
