Very good, it's all about the birds, not money.
What an amazing day, thank you for allowing us to share in these magnificent birds lives by being able to adopt and fund a cockatoo thanks to our awesome tour guides Mel and Izzy!
A great day out! Super interactive for kids, you can see they care alot about the animals and the staff were very helpful and informative. Great customer service etc. The seal and dolphin show is a definite highlight but I'd advise trying to make all the shows and feedings as they are really fun . Only critique is it needs more for younger children perhaps a small playground or climbing frame, sandpit etc in the lunch area and a touching pool or something. We spent 4 hours there and made memories for a lifetime.and will be back!
Kaarakin is a not for profit cockatoo conservation centre that does great things.
It’s definitely worth a visit & your visit helps keep this centre running
Not far from Perth in the hills
Really fun place. Went in through the general admission tickets and really enjoyed the dolphin / sealion shows …total value for money
Amazing and lovely place to visit. Park is very clean, staff are friendly and very informative. Had a great afternoon and my daughter had an unforgettable time swimming with a dolphin.
Wonderful experience and very educational. Dedicated volunteers take you on a tour and share their passion for the beautiful cockatoo's and dingo 's. Well worth the drive. Support this foundation if you can or we may lose these birds in the very near future.
Better than SeaWorld, everything you would want to see is right here, kid friendly, affordable, clean & the meals are delicious.
My two little girls 4 & 2 years old were utterly delighted to see all the animals & tickled pink they got to give the dolphins an ice block & feed the stingray.
Thanks to all the friendly staff for their knowledge. We loved it that much we will be back next month.
Our first time visiting Coffs Harbour and we had to go here as we love animals.Such a great little place and lots of shows throughout the day to keep you entertained, from turtles dolphins sea lions penguins and more it's definitely worth visiting 💙 😀
This place is still just as amazing as when I was a kid! Was insanely happy I took my daughter there this year! The current owner loves the site and everything it stands for in conservation and rescue.
I can highly recommend the sealion and dolphin experience!!
What an amazing little Sanctuary!
Wonderful animals, and information, the talks were very informative and interactive.
Even though it was almost cyclone weather the kids aged 13-7 had an absolute ball. I don’t know how we’ll go back to the Seal show at Taronga Zoo after the amazing seal show and even more incredible Dolphin Show. Hands to the keepers and staff for persevering in the torrential rain.
Food was yummy and well priced and the gift shop was special, we snagged some original masterpieces by the seals.
These guys have an extraordinary commitment to treating and saving Australia native wildlife! Endlessly thankful for the time and energy they put into each patient.
I donate money everytime I go to the sanctuary and as a lover of animals I am very disappointed and angry. Recently called to get assistance and I was denied as it was a "council" issue when it involved the lives of animals. It was a life or death situation that also involved baby animals as well. Very disappointing and I will not be giving anymore money if they can't be bothered to help animals which is literally what they are all about.

Great place. You can find gorillas, giraffes, Kangaroos, Tiger, 🦁, Elephants. They are preserving a lot of soon to be extinct species. This is the 1st carbon neutral zoo in the entire world. Well maintained and observed regularly by volunteers, workers. They are taking good care of the animals inside. The gorilla 🦍 rainforest was really very amazing then comes the kangaroo island. And yea the sea penguins 🐧 were also nice.
We had the most enjoyable day. Got to feed a ray, and a small shark.
Seen penguins being fed, the dolphins and sea lion performing, small turtles, and large turtles in the turtle hospital.
The staff are very knowledgeable on the needs of the animals, and we came away with so much information.
Please support the work being carried out for these creatures by donations
Chris and Alan were my tour guides. I got my first kiss with a dingo here (see photos) and a great cuddle session with an emu bird. I really love these animals, they don't look like they've been from the wild at all! So safe to touch, and they also love you back. Also, this place is far away from my home maybe like 1-2 hours away. It was great that Alan gave me a lift to the train station when my Uber ride cancelled on me. Be prepared to bring physical money - card or cash. The problem is there is not much signal so you can't pay with your phone. This place is worth going to! 5/5 for the hospitality and tamed animals.

At first, I thought AU$46 (adult) was a little bit pricy, but it was so worth it. I had a great time here to watch various animals and was very glad to see their good living environment compared to other zoos. They had 'Koala talk' at 11AM, and I was happy to be there.

We love the zoo , arrived at 10ish and didn’t wait long to enter into the zoo. The gardens are very beautiful, abs even though it was school holidays we found we didn’t need to wait very long to get through different enclosures . We particularly enjoyed the giraffes and the butterfly house .

fantastic zoo in Melbourne and definitely something I would go back again and again, especially with the zoo membership kids get in for free during the school holidays in Melbourne and on the weekend with the adults. we had a great time.
They deleted my initial review. I took a baby rainbow lorikeet in that had fallen from a tree in a dog park. The lady was rude and almost annoyed that I had brought it in and said it was a waste of time and that it would die anyway. She almost made me feel bad for trying to help my native wildlife. Disgusting behaviour from a wildlife hospital of all places. Do better.

We love coming to the zoo.
It's always a fun day out.
Staff are happy to chat to the children about the animals.
It's clean and animals are in great sized enclosures.
These guys are wonderful and should be commended for what they do in our community. Special thanks to Suzy for helping me with the baby waterhen that I helped rescue from a drain. Keep up this amazing work guys.

Fantastic zoo! Went here on a Tuesday and there was a fair bit of a crowd, but there was no wait to enter at all. Bought tickets on-site, staff were friendly and welcoming. Large variety of animals that look well cared for. Only issue was that some animals were moved to different enclosures, so we could not see them. However, we had to amazing opportunity to see the wombat while it was awake, so that made up for everything. Food at the cafes were filling and tasted great, would recommend for families and animal enthusiasts to come here 👍

Great experience, kids loved it. Everything comes off a main street so it's easy to navigate. Mornings are better so the cats are slightly more active. There is a clever orangutan who sits with a blanket on him. Cafes are decent.
Clean tidy animal park with great staff

Strikes a very good balance between conservation and entertainment.

The zoo is within walking distance of the CBD, and it's an enjoyable walk through the suburbs. It's also well served via the tram network. Very friendly staff and well laid out with a tremendous amount to see. It's a great day out for old and young, with plenty of toilets and places to eat and drink. I visited out of season and on a weekday (Monday, July), so it was busy, but far from crowded).

Modern zoos have a difficult tightrope to balance between entertainment and conservation and Melbourne's Zoo does this well. It's great to see animals being well cared for and mostly happy in their confinement, including a couple of baby elephants. The large aviaries are excellent to walk through, yet no so spacious that you end up having to play hunt-the-animal in the enclosures. No zoo will ever be perfect, but this one must be high up on the list of good ones, and ones doing their best to make a difference in terms of education and values in conservation.

The butterfly house is a must visit - tranquil, fragile beauty abounds.

We visited on a Monday so it wasn't crowded; although the drawback was that there were less food stalls open. Overall the zoo was extremely lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The zoo itself was also gorgeous and clean. Favorites were the lemurs and butterfly exhibits!

You will definitely need a whole day here - there is so much to see and do and I highly recommend seeing any of the zoo keeper demonstrations. Only thing that I didn’t like were the prices at the cafe but if you bring your own food you can avoid it! Recommmend buying a membership as we have and can’t wait to come back again!
A wonderful place where black cockatoos and other bird life are rehabilitated or are permanent residents (as they can't go back to the wild). Also roos including a big red, emu and 3 dingos. The staff and volunteers are great and Brad was so interesting to listen to
Low value. Very poorly organised. Not much to see. Little information about what to do when. Best bit is the bird show.
I loved every second of my time at KaarakinBlack Cockatoo Conservation Centre!!
Brought my Mum for a tour and our hearts were filled with joy seeing the awesome work that The Kaarakin volunteers do for these amazing endangered birds.
Our guide was so knowledgeable about everything to do with the 3 x Black Cockatoo species and the info that he gave us was spot on.
As well as the Black cockatoos it was wonderful seeing the dingos, emus, kangaroos, finches and other beautiful birds!!
Please donate generously to Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre. Populations of these magnificent birds are dwindling because their roosts and food sources are being cleared at a shocking rate.
They need all the protection and care they can get!!!
Worthwhile organization to plant trees for koala habitation.
Wonderful Vet's, nurses, and volunteers who care for our wildlife. They do an incredible job.
thank you for this great work and for saving this beautiful animals!
THANK U !!!! GOOD WORK - DONT GIVE UP!
Eintrittsgeld unangemessen hoch. Schwierigkeiten beim Auffinden.
The best Mothers Day gift ever ! My Son surprised me with a visit to Karrakin to see the Black Cockatoos Dingos and

Kangaroos for mothers Day what a wonderful educational experience ! afternoon tea from the volunteer staff was great too ! Thankyou so much Matthew loved my Day out with you my son. An enormous thank you to all the wonderful dedicated volunteer staff members who provide such a wonderful opportunity for the public great work well done ! 💚🌳🐣🌳💚
They're amazing people who are saving koalas knowing that every koala life is important, particularly now that the koalas are facing extinction because of habitat loss! We should help them!
After a donation by ACPHARM, our pharmacist Jack Hammond had the privilege of being a vet for a day. This hospital run primarily on donations and without your help they cannot help the sick and injured wildlife that come in on a daily basis. The staff and volunteers all work tirelessly to rehabilitate and release wildlife. It was such an amazing place!
