Dinner was amazing here, the ambiance is super cozy and not as obnoxious as some places in king west.

Has some very interesting non traditional French fare. The short rib Wellington was unique and delicious. The pastas were all perfectly made and cooked and totally worth getting two for the two of us. Happy hour drinks before 7 were a great value too!
Pretty good food, decent atmosphere. It was really busy so I would advise making a reservation. The food was reminiscent of the Keg to me. I enjoyed everything I ordered.

Calamari was fried and not rubbery at all, it was really good thick pieces. Really enjoyed the Brussels Sprouts.

Gnocchi was pillowy and tender, the creamy sauce goes with the dish perfectly. Nice winter meal.

Short Rib was very tender, cooked very well and good portion sized meat, sides could have been bigger. Was still tasty

Fettuccine Carbonara with Chicken was decent, didn’t really taste like carbonara though…

This used to be a great spot for business lunches, today we were in there for a meal for 5 people and after 2 hours, we left and not a single plate of food had been brought to our tables. It's a shame as this place used to be good, definitely some problems at the moment that need to be sorted asap.

I have had many business related meals here over the years as I work in the area... decided to entertain some friends on a Saturday evening and made a reservation for 8 people. I was just informed that the restaurant was bought out for that same night and they had to cancel my reservation. No alternative arrangements were offered, just a "sorry" nothing we can do. Very disappointed with the lack of service and effort to accommodate.

Response back to owner: Then why did you take the reservation on Open Table then confirm it when we called later that week?

'A modern slice of Italy on Commercial drive. A fantastic cocktail and wine selection. The food is incredible and the ambiance is perfect for all occasions, especially late night.
•BISONTE - Bison striploin, medium rare, turnip & parmesan puree, balsamic jus & crispy rosemary.
•INSALATA - Varieties of radicchio from cropthorne farms, apple, spiced ricotta, mint & pistachio.
•CARPACCIO - Hiro waygu beef, lacto-fermented cherry tomato, parmesan reggiano.

Tried it for the first time on a whim and it was delicious. I was a little surprised at how things worked since we saw pictures of an older menu but it was great once we understood to order some meats to share and the order sides. 👌

The appetizer portions were on the smaller side, but it suited the rich and decadent flavors. The duck and steak were both amazing! Only critique would be some of the fries were a little too salty.

Overall 5/5 I'd love to eat here again soon!
Niagara Falls is best on the Canadian side (hands down). The best advice after is to get the hell away from the overpriced chain restaurants around the Falls. We did & happy we did. We just drove out on the main road until we found something. It wasn’t long at all until we found The Old Winery.

We were tired, hungry & still drying off from the Falls. This was a great place for a nice warm meal. I had a pasta & chicken dish. The pasta was perfect & the chicken had a wonderful flavor & not dry at all. The other dish was a piece of dark meat over a brown gravy & was perfect.

The atmosphere is nice for a girls night or a romantic date and service was good but the food wasn't as exciting as I'd hoped. We ordered the foie, oysters, squash fritters (croquettes), rock shrimp aka popcorn shrimp, branzino (tasted like nothing) with sides of spinach and fries. To be honest my favorite dish was the fries which were gigantic and excellent, followed by the foie, which was reminiscent of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and could have made great dessert. The St Germain & Prosecco cocktail was too sweet for my liking but I did enjoy the Jalesco cocktail.

They were kind enough to bring a bday dessert since we were celebrating and that was actually good.

Overall, it wasn't a great food experience for me and I wouldn't go back considering the price for not an amazing meal. Not sure if I'd recommend it to a friend either.

On the western end of King St (cross with Bathurst), Lapinou is a warm and inviting restaurant located in a refurbished industrial style building...with original red brick walls and exposed timber beams. The food style is difficult to describe...a modern continental take on French cuisine would be my best effort (see the menu image for reference). Generally the plates are probably best shared so that everyone can enjoy and the portion sizes are of decent amounts.

For our meal we have a wide assortment. To start we had Fresh Bread and Olives (very good), Squash Croquettes (excellent), Branzino Crudo (excellent), Rock Shrimp (very good) and Wagyu Sliders (also very good). For our mains we ordered Wagyu & Frites (very good), Whole Branzino (excellent), Caeser Salad (very good...using endives), Steak & Frites (also very good), , Grilled Swordfish (excellent) supported by the two sides of Fries (interesting take as they are embedded with vinegar) and Spinach (excellent). We were stuffed so only had the Hzaelnut Cremeux and Brown Butter Tart for dessert...both were very good but very sweet!.

Service was excellent, a little casual, and friendly. Special call out to Jarret for making the evening memorable. Well worth a visit. Enjoy!

Fine dining in the heart of Toronto. Great place for business meetings and events. Food options are limited however taste is great. All of their pasta, seafood, and desserts are must try. My favourite is the Bread and Olives as the starter.

We had a group of 9 for dinner service. The staff was able to move our reservation a bit later and provided us with the private room. The room size was perfect for our noisy group. Our server was great. She made sure all our orders were correct and ensured the food arrived on time. Everybody agreed that the food was amazing! This restaurant and staff earned their perfect rating. Thank you for a great night.

Weinkeller is an experience unto itself, it is not just a place to grab a bite of food in between other activities. Starting with atmosphere - this below ground restaurant is both comforting and yet full of interesting quirky details to see. The music is enough to blur neighboring conversations into background noise and yet I had no trouble hearing and conversing with my partner across the table nor the phenomenal staff. The chairs and booths are comfortable, an essential detail for the dining experience you'll participate in. The concept is so much fun - you pay a single price per person to enjoy 3 or 5 menu options. One option must be an entree, the other 4 (or two, but I highly recommend paying slightly more for the full experience) can be any mix of drinks, appetizers, soups, salads, or dessert. Including the drinks as menu items for the "courses" is genius. It lets different members of the party focus on what they are more interested in. Not hungry? Get a meal to nibble on and then enjoy their delicious house wines. Not a drinker? Have an extra dish to try. The food is exceptional. Simple ingredients elevated to the highest quality without feeling fussy or pretentious. Every item on the plate is meant to add to the flavor, and there are surprising pairings that burst like fireworks when combined. Last but certainly not least, I cannot even begin to explain how much the staff add to this experience. Our waiter, Rowen, was cheerful, funny, and made us instantly feel at home. The owner is on the floor delivering food and checking in that people are having the best time. You can feel and taste that everyone here cares deeply and appreciates the fact that food is more than just nutrition.

Heard about Lapinou for a while now and decided to finally come for brunch.
We had the Spanish Baked Eggs, Pancakes and Spanakopita pie. All were really good. Nothing a miss.
Cocktails were good, service was attentive without being overbearing, which can happen in Toronto.
The restaurant itself was spacious and as a designer, appreciated the details in the decor. A welcoming and beautifully casual space that doesn’t try to hard.

We’ve been coming here for over a decade. Even our child loves it! The service is always outstanding. We celebrated a birthday here recently, and our server made the dining experience extra special and he was very attentive. The risotto and fettuccine pasta are our favorites. Our kid loves them too. We hope they continue to do well for a very long time.

Definitely recommend.

Amazing food experience! Finally a place with a chef who knows how to make traditional, exceptional. A must to try! The inside is clean, upscale, but not at all stuffy. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable not only of the food he was serving, but also with the wine list. His suggested pairing of wine with my main was perfect. Prices are spot on for this level in the downtown core. Cannot wait to try the new menu. Must try appetizers “stratcciatella” “grilled calamari”

Biagio was fantastic in every aspect. The food was just phenomenal. I especially liked the tiramisu. I was there with a private party, so obviously the atmosphere was great for me. But the overall service and ambiance of the restaurant was certainly in it’s on class.
A friend recommended this place and we stopped by after visiting Pellar. We all loved this place- the pizzas are exceptional. The cocktail we had also deserves a special mention. The ambience was very nice and inviting. We had a great time.

Brownie point- the cocktail was yum.

Highly recommend this place.
Food was delicious, a little on the salty side but overall very enjoyable. I would go back. Service was amazing and servers were very attentive. Ambiance was lacking, very quiet with no music or background noise.
From the bread to the dessert, hands down to how they cook here in Italian perfection. Come hungry, and you will leave full, you never have to think about the portions or serving size, because they’re big on taste and flavours. And her. You have no less that Señor Biagio overseeing the service, you’re sure to get the feeling and comfort of being served in an Italian home.

What a place this is! The food is absolutely delicious and oh so fresh! Seafood house made gnocchi was melt in my mouth, fresh oysters, the fresh salad and the chicken dinner with the garlic butter sauce - seriously so incredibly amazing! Best espresso martini I have ever had! I will be back and thank you to all the staff❤️

Terrible terrible service! It is a shame that the food and cocktails are both good but my friend and I are never going back there. We arrived there at 6:30 with a reservation. No one told us that there was going to be a time limit for our stay. What they did instead was coming to our table every few minutes (different servers) to ask if we were done. One male server even said to us ' I have been observing you and you guys were not picking at your food so I am gonna take the plates away ' and he did! My friend and I looked at each other and couldn't believe what we just heard. Then that was not the end of it, another girl came in and told us we had 20 mins when we still had drinks on our way. Then another one came and told us we had 7 mins. It is not our responsibility if they had made another reservation 1.5 hours after us. We could have turned around and left if we knew we only had 1.5 hours. But were we informed of that at any point? absolutely no! We asked to speak to the manager but none was around. Absolutely terrible service through and through.

Bar Corso has a small but tight menu that they serve up in a cozy and intimate restaurant space plus a sidewalk patio space (when weather permits). I am particularly enamoured with the cocktail selection at Bar Corso. All their cocktails are served as doubles and their Negronis are 3 ozs. The Ananas Negroni is a personal favourite and features el jimador tequila, pineapple infused campari, sweet vermouth. It is very well balanced and smooth. The single large ice cube is a nice touch.

The Salumi e Formaggi Alla Corso is Bar Corso’s take on a charcuterie board and it features a selection of imported meats and cheeses, house preserves, crostini, crackers. There was a large selection of house made pickles and 3 meats and 3 cheeses. It was a gorgeous platter and the perfect accompaniment for our cocktails.

Overall, a nice neighbourhood spot for solid eats and cocktails.
Food is good and consistent, however, the quality of service could definitely be improved upon. Of the few times I've been there, wait staff is almost nowhere to be seen. Not all menus are provided (I'm always asking for a dessert menu and unsure why this can't be provided from the start) and wait staff is often times unattentive.

Food takes a long time, but when it does reach, it's good and temperature is fine.

I only find myself coming back for their Tiramisu and Polenta Fries. Other food items are mediocre.

Came here for dinner with my boyfriend and it was awesome. we had never been here before but my bf found it and decided to make a reso for us :) the food was awesome .. we got the wagyu tartare and albacore tuna crostinis to start and were blown away!! we then got the pomodoro and carpaccio (not pictured because we just had to eat it right away) which were both so amazing. i’m definitely a tomato girl so i really loved the tomatoes in both the dishes. we also got the pasta del giorno which was a bolognese with pine mushroom (we went on a friday)
the drinks we got were great too, and we finished off with a grappa flights which was definitely a choice considering i work tomorrow and my bf is going on a hike but it was still great!!!
our server bryden (brayden? brian? sorry it was a little loud and the grappa was hitting.) was awesome and super fun the whole time too. all the servers were very helpful though and i loved all their vibes.
the music was awesome too! definitely check this place out!!

Part of Michelin’s recommendations for Toronto, Lapinou offers a ‘globally-inspired’ French cuisine, and it’s a great experience.

First, the space is cozy and elegant, whether on the 2 side alley patio or the interior. The wait staff are very kind and helpful with the menu. The cocktails are great and can’t complain with a happy hour til 8pm.

The food here is really something special, usually a twist on a French favourite. I enjoyed the French onion tart, which is play on the ‘skin’ of the French onion soup. The duck is amazing, tho recommend an accompanying side as it’s just duck breast. The baby gem salad is fresh and delicious, though a small portion. Overall, everything had a well balanced flavour, kudos!

Wonderful Experience. The tasting menu we tried was one of a kind. Very unique and well-thought when it comes to the presentation of the food. The waiters are also very professional. A few of the courses I felt could have been better. There was a dish called pigs trotter which we did not enjoy too much. It was overall a great fine dining experience with spectacular views from the 54th floor of the TD building. I would recommend it to anyone who's ok with spending a bit to indulge in some unique fine dining cuisine.

WAY overated. We came here based only on the amazing google reviews. It tasted like was prepared by the staff of a pizza franchise. We sat on the outside and the host/ staff looked at us like we could not afford to eat here and did us a favor by giving us a table at 5:45 pm in an empty restaurant. LOL! Guys, I travel the world for food.

Risotto tasted like bought from Costco and was microwaved just before servings.
Lamb chop tasted gamey ( and I love lamb and have it often)
Seafood app was the worst tasting dish I have had in years. Tough low quality products offered at a high price.
Seafood pasta- forgetfull and under seasoned. Would have enjoyed it more if they bought frozen prepared seafood pasta from Costco. It tasted like to prepared in a air fyer. There was a lack of executation and seasoning in the all the food we ordered tonight. But food presention was OK.

They have a fake show where they open the sun vents for 5 minutes, kinda cool unless you are sitting nearby. All the debris fell on the guest and food. They were NOT happy.

Only good things was how pour the wine into a decanter and then pour itin your glass. ( kinda cool the first time you see it) It may have high review ONLY If you dont compare it to any Italian restaurants in Toronto. It is very busy so they have lots of regular clients but save your time and money to go downtown or there is a few good Italian places in Brampton . I had better Italian food in a one $ / star establishment.

It is a dated style restaurants with very senior staff that only take care of their regular customers. The new females staff was useless on a Saterday night when we visited ealry in their dinner service so it was not busy. She forgot about our table when we asked for items amd had to ask her a second time on 3 occasions.

Senior Staff seems to have have worked there for 30 years+ and it shows. Was not a refined dinning experience at all, it was kind of sad. It was like a 16 year old son borrowing his dad car and oversized suit for his first date in high school and eating in a expensive place- trying way too hard to impress everyone and they failed to make a positive expression with me.
We had a very enjoyable evening. The food, service, and ambiance was great. Perfect for any occasion, will definitely go back.

My husband and I were visiting from the Niagara region. We had booked this reservation weeks ago! It was worth the wait… we shared the chefs tasting menu. I have some food allergies and they were very careful to pay attention to that. Two courses were especially prepared for me. Our server explained every stage of the menu and was very attentive and friendly. We will go back!! What a great experience!!

The view is amazing but that’s it.
The menu is so boring and limited in option if you don’t eat pork. Everything has a dash of prosciutto. pricey for absolutely no reason! The food was so average and so Disappointing.
The venison tartare was so bad, worse presentation I’ve ever seen. The halibut was dry.
Desert was so tiny.
I would definitely not come back and would not recommend to celebrate any occasion here. So overrated.
If you would like to experience upscale dining try George , Scaramouch you would not be disappointed!

Just felt that the dishes served lacked presentation but we're prepared well and great service.
The menu is very extensive and has good wine pairings for less experienced wine lovers (huge bonus). My wife and I spent approximately $130 for our date which is pretty good for the quality of food we received. 9oz glasses of wine were plenty and lasted us the whole time we were seated!

One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. We had the Berry Martini Mocktails, we found them to be the perfect blend of sour and sweet. I do have allergies and they were very accommodating. The beef carpaccio was melt in your mouth delicious, and accompaniments delicious. I had the Sweet Potato Gnocchi w Beef cheek and it was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend had the Butternut Squash ravioli, and it was buttery and satisfying. For dessert, the Affogato, biscotti, and Blu cake were the perfect way to round off. This is definitely the place for you to splurge and eat your way around the menu!

We celebrated our special family birthday- and we chose THE RIGHT PLACE. Awesome food. Great service by Tony. Little pricey but awesome for special occasions.

Food temperature and taste was just amazing.

Tony was awesome - funny, and he suggested a great gluten free meal for my niece.

Ambience...... top class.
The host took our order very quickly as we decided we would do take-out and not dine-in. Because this was not a dine-in experience this review is based on the food we ordered.

Chili & Parmesan Crusted Calamari with Roast Garlic and Dill Yogurt - The calamari seemed like it was a bit overcooked as it was a bit too chewy/rubbery. We were not given the correct sauce, some sort of salsa instead of the roast garlic dill yogurt, which did not pair well with the calamari. Because of this the taste of this dish was lacking.

Grilled Chicken Carbonara on Fettuccini - We felt that there was too much carbonara sauce added and although it was creamy, it was a bit too heavy. The grilled chicken tasted fine, nothing special.

Pan Seared Shrimp Served on Spaghetti in a Basil Cream Sauce with Sundried Tomatoes and Basil - We enjoyed the flavour of the basil cream sauce, however, there were only 4 pieces of shrimp... not sure if this is a standard amount per dish but if that is the case $24.00 seems a bit excessive.

Husband found this place during our honeymoon. It's a 5 course per person deal but are welcome to mix and match, so be warned and come on an empty stomach. Absolutely love the food; had the steak and loved it (cooked just how I like it!), husband still talks about the blackened porkchop and funny enough, my favourite component was the truffle honey that goes with the fried goat cheese (I cannot stand honey either smell or taste normally).

Our server, Rowen, was great. I know servers kiss your booty for their tip but this guy went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Not just him but the other staff as well that was on the floor.

Atmosphere was comfortable, music was a touch loud for me personally but at least it didn't feel like I was at a nightclub. Felt like the kind of place where you don't have to dress to the nines but will give yourself an extra 10 minutes to get ready.

Will definitely come back on the next vacation!

- Great experience
- Live music loved that
- service was good
- menu for the average person may bring you to need some clarifications or addition explanation
(Hubby and I fine dine all the time, but this menu was a bit tricky)
- Watermelon Feta Salad was GENIUS, shouts to the chef on that creation
- tuna tartar 4/10 (was ok, didnt love but were not raw ppl)
- hubby loved the lamb and i loved the rissoto that came with
- I got the stuffed chicken 4/10 for me.

We did try and experiment with different dishes we normally wouldn't as to the low numbers but experience was great.

Would visit again
Very good Italian food and a nice back patio to enjoy it in. A few minutes drive from the historic downtown’s area, so parking is not an issue. The price point is a little high, but all the dishes were great.

Fine dining at its best. My wife and I visited this small place in niagra falls while on vacation. The food was amazing and so was the service. It's a 5 item dining experience and it can be a bit pricey. However if your looking for a place to celebrate a honeymoon or anniversary. They do not disappoint.

Modus is a hidden upscale gem in the downtown financial district. It boasts a modest interior, paired with impeccable service and delicious food. I had the opportunity to try the grilled calamari and bread/olives as started, both did not disappoint.

To follow, I enjoyed their Zuppa di Pesce, which brought the trio of mussels, scallops and shrimp in a red sauce together. It was delicious.

Would recommend

I had the most phenomenal experience at this restaurant! The service was top-notch and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable, adding to the overall dining experience.

Now let's talk about the food – exceptional is an understatement! I started my meal with their onion soup, which hands down is the best in town. The rich flavors and perfectly melted cheese on top had my taste buds dancing with joy.

For the main course, I opted for the wild halibut. The chef nailed it with the perfect cooking technique, resulting in a beautifully tender and flaky fish. The accompanying sides and sauce were thoughtfully prepared, perfectly complementing the flavors of the halibut. I wouldn't change a single thing about this dish!

All in all, I can confidently say that this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The combination of phenomenal service, terrific atmosphere, and exceptional food made for an unforgettable dining experience.

I've searched far and wide to find pistachio gelato with the same full flavor as the ones I've tried in Italy. Well, I've found it here. Don't be put off by the bright green color (normally a marker of sub-par pistachio gelato - in Italy it's white), this is the real deal. I was speaking with the staff and they import the pistachios from Turkey (which, according to my wife's research, produce the most flavorful nuts, along with Iran and Sicily) and make the gelato on the premises. My teen and tween both had some type of double chocolate gelato and said it was very good. The waffle cone was nice and crisp.
A very traditional Greek restaurant. We were there with family and we had a wonderful time. Food was very good and the waiter was super nice and helpful. Sorry to see it is closing after 30+ years in business. If you get a chance before they close, do so!

Fabulous dining experience. Waiter was so personable. We had the chef’s tasting and the every course was exquisite and complex and totally outstanding. The place is very nice and elegant, live music was a great bonus but we couldn’t hear it on the 2nd floor.
The food was good, some choices were excellent (like salmon), but some were not (steak for instance, great sauce but the meat could be a better quality)
Overall, it’s a nice place

Nice Italian restaurant, perfect smiky staffs. Enzo was our waiter, they did a wrong salad with bacon (we asked without) and even they made a new one cause of our children got upset first, they didn't charge us. I appreciate.

Akila was a Host, kind and professionally welcoming.

The manager is from Mexico if I am right and he is supervising everything.

Other staffs I mean who brings the foods, waiter's assistants, should pass more lessons.

I liked the Ravioli, Tiramisù and the Salmon.
Lobster Ravioli from the regular menu was the best menu out of other menu we tried.
We ordered most of the food from the happy hour menu. Maybe because of this or not, inside of arancini wasn't hot.
Polenta fries were hot and crispy but not the best one i tried.
Pizza was soso. Not so much flavour.
Margarita pizza was more like plain cheese pizza
Our server wasn't so attentive as well.
I had better experience from other locations.
I probably try regular menu next time but not really recommending happy hour menu other than 1/2 price wine

Our family is vacationing, from MD-US, at Niagra Falls and found this restaurant on Google with high ratings and our experience echoed the 5-star reviews from what we read.

From the moment you walk down into the cellar restaurant, you are greeted with historic decor and color scheme, and most importantly, with a smile, thanked and welcomed on your way to your table.

Our server KALEIGH was phenomenal, very engaging, knowledgeable and professionally charismatic. Her personality is instantly infectious and comforting. The customer service from the front of the house is equally as important when evaluating a fine dining experience. She explained the concept of the eating format, told us her favorites, and patiently made it easy for is to figure out what we wanted to do. She exceeded all the marks.

We ordered the Fried Goat Cheese. It was delicious with a delicate bite and just the right balance of sweet and earthy notes. We each got a Ceasar Salad and the "house made" Ceasar dressing was superb. It was creamy, tangy and savory with a respectful nod to a traditional dressing.

Then the Tomahawk Pork Chops were outstanding, one cooked with Butter and Herbs, the other was Blackened. Both were seasoned and cooked to perfection, the flavors balanced portionately with a seared crust and juicy medium/well interior. The squash sides, served 2 two ways, was pleasantly appetizing.

There was also the "Pork" Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon, needless to say, anything "wrapped in bacon" is delicious. It was cooked to a perfect Medium, seared with a charred crust that you could cut with a butter knife, and served with a brown mushroom sauce.

From ambiance to customer service to the taste of the food, it was a great experience had by our family. We would recommend it being one of your dining destinations in Niagra Falls Canada "eh"

The restaurant provided us with a nice semi-private space for our event, and we opted for a fixed menu that offered a well-balanced selection of 4 appetizers, 4 main dishes, and 4 types of desserts. It was wonderful to have the freedom to choose our drinks as well.

The food and the overall atmosphere were very satisfying. All the dishes from the menu were top-notch in terms of taste and presentation, leaving a spectacular impression on everyone; our guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening and wished the newlyweds well.

Though the restaurant did an excellent job overall, I have a few suggestions for improvement. Firstly, the live music in the second-floor hall was barely audible, and it would have been great if it could be made more prominent. Secondly, the guests were not informed about the menu items, leading to some of them not making the ideal choices for themselves. This resulted in guests exchanging dishes among themselves after they were served.

Additionally, I expected a bit more attention and involvement from the waiters, especially considering we spent around $4000 on the dinner for 26 guests including 4 children and 11 adults with soft drinks . Despite these points, the pleasant atmosphere and fantastic food make Blu restaurant a definite recommendation for family celebrations.

Solid restaurant experience! The food was delicious and our server was also fantastic. Really loved the Burrata appetizer, but I wish we hadn’t gotten it because the quantity of the pasta was more than enough. The tiramisu is FANTASTIC as well

Went to Weinkeller with my boyfriend for my birthday dinner and could not of asked for a better experience. We were greeted by Connor who was our server. He was phenomenal, had great recommendations and was very attentive. We chose to do the 5 course Weinkeller experience. Literally could not rave enough about it! Everything was delicious, mouthwatering. Well worth the price, We were absolutely stuffed afterwards. Cannot wait to come back to this restaurant. Definitely in our top 3.

This place is perfect for a leisurely afternoon of enjoying drinks and indulging in appetizers, especially during their happy hour. I particularly loved their crostini, especially the wagyu beef tartar crostino, perfectly complemented the drinking experience.
Came here for a friend's birthday. Service was a bit slower than what I expected. The food was just okay considering the price point we paid. My partner and I shared a pasta dish and Caesar salad.

We got the pesto and the portion wasn't as big compared to what our friends ordered. The taste was also just okay. I think the truffle pasta was better but it could just be the truffle.

We also got sangria and it was just regular.

What a wonderful experience!! The food here was top notch, well presented and extremely tasty. Our server Roberto was friendly, chatty and gave us great food and wine recommendations. The restaurant itself had a bright airy atmosphere though it could use a little of an update. The washrooms are not connected to the restaurant and located in the basement in the building. It was very dimly lit and felt pretty sketch.
Went to Modus with a group of friends for dinner. Food and drinks were fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the watermelon salad, grilled calamari and the lobster fettuccine in squid ink. Service was impeccable. Our server was funny and attentive. The owner was courteous and kind and made sure we were taken care of. There is underground parking in the same building, super convenient. It’s a great place for business lunches/dinners, special occasions or just a night out.

Overall we had a wonderful experience at Modus, highly recommend.

Great experience. Came with a group of 8 for a celebratory dinner with the summerlicious menu. Service was very attentive & patient, waiting for all members to show up before we order food. All courses were brought out simultaneously & they were full of flavour, hot & presented well. It was a nice night out in a beautiful location & I would return again for regular menu.
The food is totally awesome. The service is great too. The price is ok but considering the quality of the food its quite fair.

It looks very old and smells old, like your grandma's house. By lunch time, the place was empty and the old lady seemed to be serving and cooking all by herself. (And she's really nice)

Negative point: The restrooms are terrible and smell bad.

Bar Corso is a great spot for drinks and nibbles on the drive. Our server was excellent and friendly, and the vibe of the space is really cool. The cocktails were the highlight and paired well with the food options. I’ll definitely be back, especially for a winter bar evening.

The tasting menu was very delicious - couldn’t find any faults; however, the service was not up to par. Wish I was able to enjoy the food without constantly being interrupted asking how the dish is. Nonetheless I think Canoe serves really good food and is definitely worth a try!
Absolutely impressed on all aspects of a dine in experience. The service was prompt and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. Very flavourful and excellent portions. The pizza was to die for! I strongly recommend this place if you are in the area. They will not disappoint.
Cibo is a good spot. The food was good and arrived quickly. The pappardelle was our favorite. The anchini had a nice crispy outside and melted center, just as it should.

We ordered cocktails and they arrived about 30 seconds before the food. We sat for a while without drinks. It would have been great to enjoy our cocktails first. It wasn't busy so it should have been possible.

I recently dined at Canoe restaurant with a group of four on a Friday evening at 6 PM, and I must say it was an incredible experience. We had reserved a week ahead of time, and I highly recommend doing so because this place fills up fast.

We opted for the tasting menu, and it exceeded our expectations. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented in unique and original ways. The creativity and attention to detail were evident in every bite, and there was a consistent theme that tied the whole menu together.

The service at Canoe was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the dishes and wine pairings. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience.

One of the highlights of our evening was the breathtaking views. We were fortunate enough to catch the sunset, and it created an amazing atmosphere. The restaurant's location allows for stunning vistas, making it a truly remarkable dining setting.

Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Canoe restaurant. The excellent food, consistently positive experiences, and remarkable atmosphere make it a must-visit. It has become one of my regular dining destinations, and I can't wait to return for more culinary delights.
Food is always consistent but the service isn’t which is why it’s a 4 star and not 5. The service is either impeccable or mediocre at best. But because the food quality and flavour is always consistent I’ve returned on multiple occasions and will continue to! It’s definitely worth it. Every pasta I’ve tried has been flavourful and satisfying.

Came here for brunch/lunch and had a great experience. Highly recommend the polenta fries although they are not on the brunch menu. Great service. Definitely more of a dinner place, but you can’t beat bottomless mimosas for $30🤩
A beautiful family meal, prepared and served with love by the owners, who make you feel like visiting family. Delicious home made specialties, everything fresh and prepared with care and attention. Order all the starters (we doubled up on the home
made Spanikopita, no shame) and don’t skip dessert. ❤️❤️❤️

Friendly service and great vibe! We sat on the patio and it started to rain so they moved us inside and we were glad they did! The restaurant had live music inside and the musician was amazing. Food was great and we recommend the ribeye and carpaccio but all of the food that we had at our table of 5 was great! Highly recommend!

We tried the tasting menu. Food was great, presentation excellent. Strawberry dessert is our favorite, followed by the scallops and oyster. Pork Trotter dish was a little strange, nevertheless still delicious.

Service excellent, compared to many other high end restaurants, the service and staff are very well trained at Canoe. Open kitchen concept so you can see interactions of the chefs. Happy to see diversity in the kitchen.

Restaurant is clean, atmosphere is good. View is nice and most people are there for a celebration.

Wish their restroom was nicer, as it's just the TD building restroom. But that's no good reason not to try out the restaurant. Would recommend if you haven't been and I would return.
4.5⭐
Great Food, honestly!! very nice food. Good and very friendly staff. The place was clean and pleasant... one feedback on the table for 2 - very small and congested, and space between chair and table was extra tight ... little bigger tables and little extra space would be comfortable seating arrangement.
Went on a Saturday evening with my wife for her birthday. We booked a reservation and we're seated in the patio section which was perfect for the evening weather. Parking seemed to be plentiful however we walked over. Living in the area all my life, I was surprised to learn that Alioli has been open since 1996.

Our server was very quick and attentive, we didn't have to wait long for food. All our dishes were delicious, starting with the insalata calabrese and calamari and for our mains, the penne di casa which has chicken and the penne le vodka which my wide substituted the with mushrooms. I recommend trying the drink Italian Surfer as it was quite tasty.

While being a bit on the pricey side, portions are great and the overall food and service is outstanding. Would highly recommend espailly for small gatherings and events or a simple date night.

Food

The food at Alioli Ristorante is simply delectable. The menu offers a wide range of dishes from traditional Italian fare to modern and innovative culinary creations. The portions are generous, and the food is beautifully presented, making it a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. Some of their popular dishes are the Eggplant Parmigiana, Risotto del Giorno, and the Tiramisu.

It offers great value for money and is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food and a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant and give it five stars.
I went to celebrate my birthday because I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed, and I wasn't! Rodos has been in business for such a long time for good reason. The service is excellent, the food is authentic, and the ambience couldn't be beat. My favourite place for an authentic Greek meal in Montreal, by far.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Alioli Ristorante, an Italian restaurant that left a lasting impression on me. My family and I have specific dietary requirements; my father is a meat-eater but allergic to seafood, while my mother is a vegetarian who doesn't like mushrooms. However, the staff, especially Antonio, went above and beyond to ensure that we had an enjoyable dining experience.
Antonio was incredibly kind and hospitable, taking note of our dietary restrictions and providing suggestions that catered to our needs. For my mother, he prepared the Butternut Squash Ravioli, traditionally made with mushrooms but made without mushrooms for her, and it was absolutely delicious. The dish was expertly prepared, and the butternut squash filling was perfectly seasoned.
For my father, Antonio recommended the Lamb Chops, which were tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The meat was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. As for myself, I am a fish lover, and Antonio suggested the Pan-seared Seabream fish. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, and it came served with couscous, which added an extra layer of flavor to the dish.
We finished our meal with the Tiramisu, which was appropriately sweet and incredibly soft. It was clear that the dessert had been made with care and attention to detail, almost as if it had been made to order just for us.
The ambiance of the restaurant was also lovely, with soft lighting and cozy seating arrangements. The service was outstanding, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
Overall, I highly recommend Alioli Ristorante to anyone looking for exceptional Italian cuisine and a memorable dining experience. The food was outstanding, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing evening out. Thank you, Antonio, and the rest of the staff, for making our evening so enjoyable!

My husband and I went last night and very much enjoyed our meal. Our server Conner was excellent with detail and always asking if we enjoyed our first bite. Good customer service goes a long way. The dish could not be of your liking, but the server is the one who goes that extra mile to make it a great experience and wanting to come back! Thanks Conner and great food, compliments to the chef.

What a great experience, booked our corporate holiday dinner at Blu Ristorante. Yes this review is a bit late coming but people are still raving about the impeccable service especially from their friendly and knowledgeable staff (Mauricio, Luis, David and Nasir - I made sure I wrote down their names for this review)! Do yourself a favour and make sure you make it here at least once because the food was amazing, from the appetizer to dessert. I didn't get a picture of the all the options but these ones still bring back the memories of our night at Blu. Thanks to all the staff, and a shout out to Kamila (Event Coordinator) and Jeff (Manager).
Very cute place (typical Greek) and very nice people! You really feel like traveling when you’re there! Excellent lamb and food in general! The Greek wine was perfect as well! Thanks again and see you soon :)
I recently visited this amazing Greek restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The bread they served us was warm and fresh, while the ingredients were top-notch. My wife and I both enjoyed our meal immensely.
The decor of this hidden gem is very authentic Greek style, which added to the overall experience. We ordered grilled chicken, lamb Moussaka, Lentil soup and spanakopita - all of which were cooked to perfection! It tasted even better than what we had in Greece!
Overall we had a wonderful time at this restaurant - it exceeded all expectations! Prices are fair for such quality food too. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Greek dining experience with excellent service!
We were looking for some Italian food and found this place. Ended up eating more than we anticipated, ordered the soup and dessert twice lol. Wood fired pizza was awesome with thin crust. Food was fantastic and ambience was cool. Would definitely recommend.
Hidden Gem. Very authentic Greek restaurant decor. Excellent service. We had grilled chicken, lamb Moussaka, Lentil soup and spanakopita. All were delicious

The salmon tartare with crème fraiche was delish. Aside from that dish, I didn't overly enjoy anything else. Service was fine. The decor was pretty, but it's not enough positives to draw me back.

Came in for a drink after work. We got here a little late so could not sample the food. The drinks were great and the service excellent. They made room for me and the Mrs at the bar. Definitely will be back to try the food menu!

Edit. We finally made it back to try the food menu. It happened to be our 29th Anniversary and we were taking a stroll on Commercial.
We started with a couple of drinks. Ananas Negroni and Amalfi sour were yummy . The sour was so refreshing! A must try. We then had some crostinis. The tuna and wagyu beef were both so tasty.
The Hokkaido scallops were served over some pickled vegetables. It was good and also refreshing. The shrimp pasta was our favorite dish of the night. Perfectly cooked noodles. I also ordered bison. Perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing.
La Radice Dell’estate was a yummy pineapple rum cocktail. We also tried the Hanami and Burnside Avenue. All went down so smoothly.
We ended the night with Semifreddo. A perfect dessert to end our Anniversary evening.

Our server was excellent and made many good drink recommendations. We left full and satisfied.
Bar Corso is definitely a go to spot on Commercial Drive!

The my main comment is that they don’t have much options displayed.
Or even if there was! There was four us and It was not clear to non of us that there was more options, we had no idea!!
No one even bothered from the workers to mention that you have more flavours.

“Also don’t get Oreo it’s not good in my opinion.”
When I say my opinion about a flavour that is just my opinion, and I have the right to say however I feel about a flavour! I don’t care if it took 100 hours to make, or whatever ingredients it has, I simply didn’t like it, and I gave my opinion.

I give reviews to summaries my experience at the store. I’m not obligated to do a research!

I don’t think the reply to the review was appropriate.
That’s called poor customer service

I don’t think I’ll go back!

However,
The location is nice
The decoration from the inside is very nice, they only have take out
Prices are in the picture included

Parking is hard
Washrooms available

Great place and great customer service.

Note that this is a Gelato shop and the flavours are a bit different but delicious.

The chocolate hazelnut tastes exactly like Nutella .
And the lavender honey is a better version that the one we get at Lavender farms ..

You have the option to taste the flavours before you buy so try it out before buying since every taste bud is different!

On Weekends they are open till midnight which is a great option considering it’s pretty close to the lake ..

When they say a scoop it’s more like 2 scoops ..
for $5 it’s really good ..

Highly recommend ✌🏻

I really liked Lick It Gelato!!!
I don't know what it is but, even though it is chilly outside, I still crave eating some ice cream, especially gelato.
The location is great, really close to the lake and the harbor and marinas in Toronto.
The locale itself is small, but they did the best with the space they have and make it tool very welcoming on the outside and cozy on the inside.
As you approach the place, there is a chalkboard with the days' special or a nice message. Once inside, the same chalk is used on the walls. To the end there is a set of couch love seats waiting for you to enjoy the frozen treat.
Some flavors are very original, or at least not found everywhere, such as Mascarpone and Black Grey English tea, which by the way, it really tastes like it.
I gave it a 4 star because, being as cold as it is in Canada, even if we're in spring, if you have a machine to make specialty coffees, then you ought to have some tea to sell, which was what my wife needed instead, as we were about to go back to the hotel to call it a night. But hey, just something to think about.
But your staff is friendly and helped us by offering tastings until I reached the combination of flavors my mouth was looking for, which was strawberry (sorbet) with mascarpone.
Keep it up!

Lemongrass sorbet and lemon ginger sorbet are of the hook! Yeah, not cheap but consider the location and c'mon, after you tasted that lemongrass sorbet on a hot summer day, you will go back and would pay twice as much to get it again.
