Had a couple events at Sankkamam and both turned out great! Sugee and Shalini worked with us and met all our needs from start to finish. They had great communication with us throughout the process and during the event. They went above and beyond with the hall set up and stood by our side to ensure everything went as planned. Our two events at the hall were a sports banquet night and puberty ceremony which shows their versatility. Food was excellent and they offered tons of options. I highly recommend Sankkamam Party Hall for all your needs. Thank you Sugee and Shalini!

Cute skatepark in the back, baseball fields are super close to the parking lot and houses but otherwise it’s a great little spot.
The venue is the perfect size for a decent gathering, very clean and the coordinator has a lot of options for your needs. Highly recommend this hall
Open every Saturday, it features fresh local produce, meats, cheeses, and baked goods. As closing time approaches, you can often find fruit and vegetables at discounted rates. The market's vibrant atmosphere, diverse offerings,make it a must-visit spot.
Great place to grocery shop! Sure, you might not find everything that you usually buy in the store, but some vendors have incredible prices and better quality good. Especially want to highlight meat at the Glogowski Eurofood stand, great deals for berries (strawberries, blueberries etc) and, slightly cheaper than in store (to my opinion) vegetables. All in all, I recommend this place as a nice substitute or addition to the grocery chain giants

Great market, bigger than it looks from the outside. Variety of vendors, all indoors, which is super convenient when shopping! The produce section was kind of hidden, but was happy to find it. Would recommend taking your time to scope out the pricing as there are several competing vendors. Although some things are definitely a little bit marked up, there are some very good deals available as well. The food court upstairs that overlooks the market is very nice and has a handful of restaurants and good seating available. Location is conveniently downtown, parking can be a bit of an effort.
I'm being generous when I rate this place 3 stars. Let's start with the positive. The rental cost is cheaper compared to other party halls. The food was ok.

Really curious why this place doesn't have better hours. Closed weekends and open all day but only for 2 hours after children get out of school ??. A bit disappointing for the kiddos and rather unfortunate as we need more places like this in Barrie for kids to have a decent place to socialize, enjoy themselves and learn.
Visited with my partner during the week so not everything was open. Saturdays are the day to come. Nice assortments of shops and food places for breakfast and lunch. Adored The Tamale Girl who sells authentic Mexican tamales! Terrific selection and fair prices. Bought a combination pack of 6 frozen to go. Shout out to Kathy! Thanks for your kindness 🙂
Our car was broken into on March 10 at 8pm. When we told management, they said stuff like this never happens and stated that someone who came to the party must have done this. Basically, suggesting that someone from our family or friends broke in to our car- completely unprofessional.
After checking the reviews I see that another guests car was broken into on March 9. ONE DAY BEFORE IT HAPPENED TO US. Yet, management dismissed our safety and denied anything like this happened before when it clearly did.
Management should hire security, have more lighting, and take security precaution for their banquet hall. Ensuring guest safety and security should be the first priority, when having a banquet hall business.
For your safety avoid this hall.

Busy local market with a wide range of vendors (from food, meat, candles, beer, honey, and more..) this is a great market to go to especially on Saturdays when most of the vendors are running. The top part of the market is more of a food court. Lots of options for food from local owned businesses offering a wide arrange of different cultured dishes. This is a good area to sit and eat and away from the hectic part down stairs.
Downstairs is the main floor. This is where the local vendors are located. Like a traditional market there are butchers, bakers, produce stands, and pretty much anything else you can think of.
Always a fun time and you will always find something new to try or buy.

The best option is to park a few blocks out and walk to the market if you do not live close enough. If you have a disability, it’s easier to drop those needed off first to the market entrance.
Have cash on hand. Some vendors offer debit services at their bigger named stations such as fish and meat stands. Otherwise, it’s pretty much a cash only type of situation. There are a few ATMs on site, but these can get busy. Main tip, go prepared with some cash already to save the wait, and bank charges.
Lastly, have fun and be patient. Depending on the time you go, it can get pretty busy. Either go right in the morning or near lunch when the second rush has left. Either way, be patient and enjoy the hustle and bustle

Amazing hall with great workers! The owner is extremely accommodating and the workers are superb, so polite and helpful! The hall is very very nicely set up and organized!
Saturday & Sunday from 6am to 3pm, indoor parking is free. I think most of the prices of fruits & vegetables are almost same or higher than the store price. The indoor food court of level G floor has washroom. The environment of the food court is nice & cosy but the meat items are not halal or kosher.
I love it here. Smudging helps me calm and ground myself when I'm anxious and stressed out. As soon as I walk in the door, the whole place smells of sage. I love it. I paid a $15/year membership fee. Now I have full access to all thier programs and resources. I highly recommend the bnfc!

I absolutely love using the Market Kitchen space for lunch hour cultural eats, as there is a wide range of vendors serving lunch thru the week. Saturday is Market day and all the meat, cheese, baking and farming vendors are in the Market selling their goodness! Love it here so much. Cheers, Spicy Jan

I was down to Belmont arena my nephew had a hockey tournament there so me and my brother-in-law we went down and watch him play enjoy the game the arena is beautiful love it
Amazing place we had a 50th anniversary party and low and behold you have a bowling alley in the basement awesome sauce.
Had our sisters Celebration of Life there. Hall is a good size for a family function or small wedding. Very clean. Nice size stage & has bar set up. Prep area for food etc. Restrooms are clean & spacious. It has a small playground in back. Nice well taken care lawn. Wheel chair accessible. Very nice set up.
Two months ago I did a last minute booking here for my engagement and I had a great experience. A friend of us recommended this place the small hall has enough space for your small parties. The servers were really nice and helped us with everything with extra tables organizing and so many things. Thank you so much for your service will definitely come back for our next event!!!
We play ball here weekly, diamonds are well kept and it's nice having the splash pad for the kiddos to play in while we're playing.
Great soccer fields for the kids soccer leagues. Poor decision to leave public washrooms locked on a Saturday morning with that many people.
This is a beautiful and peaceful area to enjoy from a soccer game. There are some comfortable wood chairs around plus lots of green trees that provide lots of shade to expectators.
Very hot. A/C could not keep up even set as cold as possible. Not enough tables and chairs to accommodate over 100 people. Outside washrooms very dirty.

Great place. Lots to do and see. Or just sit and relax or walk the trails. Full playground, tennis courts, basketball standards, baseball fields. Backs on the Komoka Railway museum.

I've been in Barrie for about a week now. And this place has been so much help for me. Especially coming from where I am in my situation, I don't want to get to detailed. But Arlene is amazing, so much help to me and a great person all around. Going above and beyond to help out. This lady deserves a raise to say the least. Thank you so much.

It's a historic hamlet.
I did not go to the hall but right beside the hall is a dog park and I go there at night because there's usually no one there and my dogs can just run and be free .....it's the closest one to my place

Clean bathrooms, large aisles, vendors were all happy. Food was awesome👍. I heard they have a really great Monday night bingo I might try to get to. There was a phenomenal amount of traffic at this event and lots of parking. See you next year

The little town of Belmont throws a big CANADA DAY celebration. It is great to see the bike ride with all the kids to the community center.
They provide food, drinks and face painting for everyone between 12-2pm.
The kids can also play in the water park area. It is a fun day for families.

One of the greatest places I've discovered. They do so much good for the community and the programs are free or very reasonable. I started taking the Okichitaw martial arts program which I never thought of doing at my age. My children and dad joined after and it's rare to be able to do something like that as a family.
Great little venue for any occasion. Can be dressed up for weddings or kept casual for birthday or anniversary parties. Very affordable. Has a fully functioning kitchen for use as well as an additional room to set up a buffet.
Love the Duntroon Hall. A fun and friendly place for a large gathering. Kitchen facilities, bowling, stage, bar, it's got it all!

Family has been doing annual picnics for 120 years. Always over 100 people show. Best place. Has kitchen facilities. Baseball diamond and lots of room for games.
This is where the Gateway Komoka Church meets. It's a vibrant church with great upbeat music. Very welcoming to all ages. Meaningful and relevant messages from the Pastor.

I love going to the Komoka Community Centre on Sunday mornings. We have a great time with people from all around the Komoka community and surrounding area. 9 & 11am are the service times. A free pancake breakfast is served at 10:30am.

The community centre has a lot of fun events for cheap but the service and rules are kind of dumb but a fun place to hold parties and train
