I went there for the first time with friends(who've been a long-time customer). I can see why they are. The hot and sour soup with amazing. The crab Rangoon was to die for! I can't wait to go back and enjoy more food.

The service was top notch, and I love the atmosphere, but for some people, it might be considered not fancy. I love places like this because they always have the best food.

I recommend magic thailand, and it will be on my list for thai food. It's up there in my fav spot(which is in a tie with thailand 1619)

I like how you can order on an iPad, I think this is the only pho restaurant that does this. There is plenty of seating in the restaurant, staff are friendly and attentive. Lots of food options to choose from, I got the pho dat biet with no onions (I don’t like onions) and fresh shrimp rolls. Food was good, I have been here a couple of times and would come back to try other items on their menu.
At first we were skeptical as the outside was a bit sketchy, but the inside was beautiful and very clean. The food was delicious, portions plentiful and quality of ingredients was top notch. My new fav Thai restaurant, highly recommend. Should also note that the price was incredibly reasonable.
This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the city. The food is awesome, and the staff are so friendly.

Love the building, as it's very basic and they don't have to charge crazy proces to cover the overhead!!

Highly recommended!!

Quick service. Green shrimp curry was not very good, oily and not very flavorful. Shrimp were over done. Rice that came with was dried out. Spring rolls were fine, but nothing that would make me come back.

Well interiored resturant.

Main noodles were very mid but the shrip dumplings were very good.

We got pho, curry, and sate beef but non of them were my type.

Their drink was so good.

If I come back, I would get drink and dumplings only 😅

Nope. Crab Rangoon are crazy hard, like concrete. Waay too much fish sauce in the curry. The sweet and sour chicken is just weird, and a bioluminescent orange. Everyone chose to go hungry, over eating it anyway.
It’s sad. I used to love this place years ago and lived down the street, but standards have slipped. Owners should take a good look at what’s coming out of the kitchen and make changes before it’s too late. Sorry.

Food was hot and tasty. We went to order and pick up, didn't wait longer than 15 mins.

Best Pad Thai you’ll find in Kitchener. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Family run, the young lady working there is so lovely. Highly recommend!

Recently had their Chicken Pad Thai (#17), which was pretty good (though I personally would like this better if it had crushed peanuts on top. My opinion aside, I still enjoyed it 😁).
Just tried their Chicken Pad Thai Curry (#62) a few days ago, and it was amazing! I will definitely get this again as it was so delicious! ❤️
I really appreciate how large their takeout portion sizes are, you can easily get 2 meals per serving.
The lady serving us was also really nice, and was really helpful answering some questions we had about the menu 😄

Pad Thai was the worst I have ever had. The sauce like ketchup and Siracha. Noodles were all glutinous and stuck together. I make my own and have had pad Thai all over the world and this was by far the worst! We couldn’t eat it, paid for an uneaten meal and went somewhere else. At no time did the staff off an alternative. The manager was angry that we didn’t like it😮!
My favorite Thai place hands down. I've ordered several dishes from this place and have been coming here for years, each one I've had is extremely delicious! I highly recommend when you go to get one of their curries! The panang curry with chicken is my husbands favourite! I'm a fan of all of them. We usually order a level 5, we really like spice and that seems to be the perfect level for us. They also have the BEST crab rangoons and papaya salad! Definitely give those a try as well! The pad Thai is okay, but not what shows off their skill in the kitchen. Get a stir fry dish or curry and you won't be disappointed, especially for the prices of everything it's an absolute treat!

The environment was nice and quiet, the service was friendly and the Black Bean Chicken and Red Thai Curry Shrimp were delicious. Vegi Spring rolls was fantastic! However the 510- Calamari-Wasabi were not the taste I thought it would have been...but it’s not bad. Just order the stuff you’re sure you’ll love them..

The food is prettt good. Its well prepared and extremely well presented. The menu is extremely large with a wide array of items that meet every taste. Price is roughly $30 per person for an average meal..

Huge disappointment. For starters, there are three different menus online. When we picked up the order, we pointed this out at the counter, but got waved off. Secondly, the noodles and sauce just didn't have a good Thai taste; they were heavy, boring, no finesse. Finally, waaaaaay too much egg. Rating is 2.5. (P.S. Big portions.)

My son search up for Thai food and we give Thai Bistro a try. Extremely terrible food, but I decide to call the owner instead putting in reviews. Unfortunately he doesn’t admit what’s wrong with the food. I don’t know how the reviews came up with 4.3 stars or just my bad day what they left overs from the holiday. I ordered one red curry with one rice and pad thai. Rice are broken and hard, must be old from a day before, I repeat that to the owner 4 times and he pretend he don’t understand and repeat what I am saying to him. His behavior repeating my complaint telling me that he knew. Big container curry got so many carrots and celery, and curry very watery, not much chicken. No spice and sweet. The Pad Thai rice noodle broken, he repeats my words what I told him again. The spoiled shrimps are mushy, and I was very upsetting called owner. Didn’t had a chance to the shrimps complaint because his attitude. These people only wanted one time customer cannot be success. Owner can charge more but be responsible to your business. He can take what I paid for and customer with all the bad left over food. Ridiculous Owner!

So I usually like Ben Thanh, but this location was not really....great. the food was decent, but seemed like the noodles had been sitting in the bowl for a while before they served it. They didn't put enough fish sauce, and they also forgot about my friends dish. We had 8 people and waited 20minutes for them to come over and take our order, it WAS NOT busy .... The food took forever to come out. When the food came out, they never came back. After an hour, we finally flagged them down and asked for my friends meal. We watch the staff sit on their phones the whole time instead of helping us...

When we were checking out the tried to force us to pay 15% tip, I requested it be removed

$45 , wouldn't recommend this location

We are pure vegetarian. I visited BenThanh with my family and we tried Papaya Salad🥗, Green Curry with Rice, Stir fried veggies and Bobba Coffee.

I loved the fact that their service was unexpectedly quick inspite of it was busy on Sunday afternoon. I really liked the Tofu Green Curry (Vegetarian and spicy). I wish the curry could have thicker gravy.

But there are a few things I did not like about having lunch at Ben Thanh and those were:
1. There was an unpleasant smell coming on the table where we were sitting. Maybe it was the smell of a cleaning liquid they used before they asked us to sit there.
2. I didn't like the Green Papaya Salad it was just too bland and the only thing that could make it taste better was the spicy and tangy red sauce which was served with the salad but that sauce was too vinegary.
3. Stir fried veggies were incredibly runny and the plate in which they served Stir fried veggies was not that big enough which can hold that ruuny gravy/Sauce. We asked them and showed them that this cwn make our table and clothes dirty and if they can change the plate? But they just usan extra plate and said sorry this how our chef made today.
4. I am not a Bobba Coffee fan so may be that's the reason I didn't like Bobba Coffee. But if you love Bobba Coffee go for it.

All in all the ambiance was good and big enough place to go with a group to have lunch or dinner. But I wouldn't go again.

I had a quick lunch here the other day. It was empty, so the server was with me right away. I had pho beef broth and gyoza. The pho was delicious! The gyoza, however, could have been a little crispier. The waitress did let me know it would be 12 minutes for the gyoza, which I appreciated as I was working and had to be relatively quick. I was very thankful for her to offer me tea as well. Overall, I was satisfied and will be back.

I love this restaurant. I went to today. I think price is up than before but taste was great! And I know in Asia it's common "Serving robot" now. Because, still covid is around here. So, when serving time they are using "Serving robot". I saw it here. It was very cool experience.
My go to for Pad Thai in KW. Once you taste the egg, you'll know why!! I also love how consistent their flavours and portions are. Really recommend!
My absolute favorite Thai restaurant in Winnipeg! Friendly staff and spot on authentic dishes packed with such delicious flavors. Moved away from Winnipeg but this place is on the list of restaurants to visit when I come.

They ask your tolerance from 1-10 for spice so you can enjoy any dish regardless of tolerance. Options for meat choices or Tofu or shrimp for dishes if you are vegetarian. Good portions for the price.
Tasty, quick service and friendly staff make this an easy choice for good Thai food. We ordered two orders of Green Coconut curry soup and one order of Cashew Pad Nut w/ Beef. The soups were 5/5. Lots of flavor, good portions and just the right amount of spice. Wish it would have came with rice though. The beef cashew pad nut was okay but not that great and the beef was a bit dry. I'll definitely be returning for more soup!
Visited city for 2 days. This is one of the best places where we ate. The lady who was taking our order knew about food allergies and she was very polite and helpful. The food was so yummy. Portion sizes are big. She told us one dish can be shared. Thanks to the whole team of restaurant for authentic food.

The outside look of the restaurant was deceiving. When you come in, the place looks very clean and decent. The food was absolutely delicious. We were feeling brave when we ordered our food with level 6 spiciness. They were not kidding with it, it was really spicy! Will definitely go back here but will go with a lower level of spiciness next time. Lol
