They used different noodles for the Pad Thai and the beef is not real beef. It was absolutely horrendous. Couldn't finish it. Waste of money.
Excellent Thai food. Friendly staff. The heat rating was a good reflection of the amount of heat I received in my dish.
The food was quickly prepared and prepared fresh.
The most disgusting Thai express I've eaten from. It was an order from Uber. Hair in the food, meat was all fat. I've double checked cause I couldn't believe it was from there. Plate was gigantic but a dog wouldnt eat it.
Went for lunch today and had the wonton soup, hubby had the pineapple curry both were fantastic. We have never had a disappointing meal here. The food is always so flavourful, bright and fresh tasting. Service is always fast and friendly. I really like this spot.
Always good food. Good price, fast service. $10 for soup great deal

Happy to have all vegan menu. Giving 3 stars for food because 1) temperature of the soup of the noodles was only lukewarm. Why wasn’t it hot?! I see another customer also complained about this in their review. 2) Coffee only lukewarm and small, not worth $6. Overall food felt just “ok”. Strengths: 1) Thai cocktail very good. 2) fresh rolls with avocado and tofu very good.

Was there last Thursday and Bangkok padthai has the most amazing food that will make your taste buds dance with joy! The flavors are so rich and delicious, you'll be craving their dishes for days. The service is top-notch too, with friendly staff who are always ready to make your dining experience unforgettable. I highly recommend trying their Pad Thai and sesame beef with rice . Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Enjoy your meal!

To be fair, I did go around closing time so maybe that’s why the food was preety cold but overall the experience was pretty mehhh. If you wanna grab something to eat and not really trying to look for quality but quantity then this is your place to go to. But if you’re looking for fresh food this is defintley not the place I would recommend. The store beside it, Asian Gourmet, is a lot better overall to be completely honest. Overall though the service was good. food (5/10) service (8/10) Atmosphere(5.5)

Bangkok Pad Thai lies on Richmond St and Piccadilly St downtown. I’ve heard numerous anecdotes from people explaining how good the food is. So tonight, I wanted to find out myself.

Stuffed chicken wings, and grilled eggplant were my starters. Both starters came with their house sweet chili sauce. The wings were boneless and stuffed with seasoning. But the eggplant looked and tasted very much like an omelet. While eating these, I drank a Thai iced tea. This had an exotic, orange colour (because there was star anise and ground tamarind).

The menu describes their Bangkok Pad Thai noodles as their most popular dish, which functioned as my main. It comes to you in a plate with a mound of rice noodles. The mound engulfed carrots, slices of chicken, egg bean sprouts with their homemade sauce. You can add shrimp for $3, mixed vegetables for $2, and cashews for $2. Your plate will also have a wedge of lime and chopped peanuts.

They serve all kinds of alcohol here. Their drink menu has cocktails, martinis, liquor, Scotch, beer, and wine. And the nonalcoholic side features tea, Thai iced tea, smoothies, juice, Shirley Temples, virgin Caesars, soft drinks, and Perrier.

I didn’t have enough room for dessert but almost was tempted by the Bangkok Banana Supreme. The menu states, “sweet plantain wrapped in pastry, deep-fried,” and “topped with coconut cream, chocalate & caramel syrup.”

This was a great opportunity to appreciate Thai cuisine. Bangkok Pad Thai has earned and will keep its legendary status.
Got to say. The last few times i ordered from there the food has been great! I order both delivery and takeout. Each time the flavours were on point and they loaded the dishes with protein. I usually get pad thai or general thai. Keep up the good work!

Always prejudiced against Vegan food and it was confounded today at Saigon Lotus. Absolutely brilliant food. We had the 20 and the 28 and didn’t leave a speck of food particle behind. There were only 2 waitresses when we went in to a packed restaurant but not a single moment did we feel ignored. Fantastic service.

5 star food. We enjoyed everything we ordered! The reason for 4 stars is that my husband witnessed a male employee use the bathroom without washing his hands after. When he left, he headed back towards the kitchen. We don't know if he was handling food directly or not, but he worked there. Either way, ALL employees (and everyone else) should be washing their hands after using the restroom. It's unhygienic and gross not to.

It was amazing. The food was so fresh and so tasty. Proper Vietnamese experience eith vegetarian food. They promote sustainability too. Service was very fast and swift for everything. The decor and ambiance are good too.
Definitely recommend it 👌
Great tasting food. Lots of variety and large quantity for the price. The atmosphere is nice as well as it is located in the Covent Garden Market. You can sit upstairs and enjoy the view.

I’ve had good, authentic Thai food and this was by far the worst Pad Thai and Green Curry I’ve ever had. The dishes were not fresh, prepared well and were under seasoned. To start off the review, the chicken and beef we added for extra charge to these dishes were dry and unseasoned. Our curry and pad thai had about 4 little broken up chunks of protein. You can tell that these dishes were microwaved as the curry was watery compared to a thicker base a traditional curry has and the vegetables were soggy. The Pad Thai’s appearance was concerning as you could physically see that it was not prepared well. 0 to no color and seasoning and no vegetables, barely any pieces of protein. (Traditional pad Thai normally is dark in color, has bean sprouts and tofu at the least)

I do not recommend this place. The photos they have online are also deceiving as there are 0 photos from the public. They are photos taken by the same person and the dishes look completely different in person.

I would give a 5 start but sometimes the peanut sauce is amazing and sometimes it’s more like a cup of peanut butter, but mix it up a bit it’s fine. Pad Thai is the best in the city in my mind, we always order the same thing but just started getting the beef and it’s great, so are the cheese wantons. Many more orders to come. People complain about it being dry but also do not put the awesome peanut sauce on it which takes it to that next level. 👌
We ordered 1 portion of green curry and 1 portion of pad thai.

The pad thai was complete bland. It was cold, hard and the portion? it was very small for $10 . One of the worst pad thai I tried.

Same with the green curry, $10 for very small portion, taste like the one you get from instant green curry in asian supermarket. All we got just 3 pieces of chicken and the rest were onions and peas.

Not coming back for sure.
Always served quickly and the food is always delicious my favourite is the Chicken Pad See Ew
Greatest attitude when they served me. It put a smile on my face.
HORRIBLE service DO NOT eat here it was probably the time of the month for the big lady she was SO rude for no reason. The food is so tasteless and they give you four tiny pieces of shrimps the rest is all rice. There’s way better places to get your food from.

We’ve ordered regularly in the past until they left something in the noodles that made my son choke and they didn’t seem to care. Few years ago. My brother in law ordered from here. Quality of food was garbage. Definitely not all was fresh. Major disappointment.

Good for vegan food! The broth is super flavourful, and the spring rolls are great too. Portions are big and food comes out fast.

This place also charges for using credit but accepts debit payments!
A different atmosphere, different and delicious tastes. A complete presentation with friendly service. I especially recommend you to sip Thai SINGHA beer cold before your meal. Don't miss this pleasure.
Just ordered chicken green curry... I hardly find chicken from it. Mostly onion! 90% Onion, 5% chicken 5% is other veggies and the sauce. It looks like we got onion green curry not chicken.
Tried this place for the first time tonight. I never leave reviews and feel the need to post one.
I live out of town and took this food to-go.
I’ve travelled to Thailand before and had authentic flavours. I only ever frequented one restaurant in Winnipeg that feels authentic.
I was so impressed with my order: Spring Rolls
Green Mango Salad
Wonton Soup
Mixed vegetables
Pad Thai
Red Curry
Rice
Although I ordered non-traditional food items, all of the food was flavourful, plentiful and a great bang for my buck.
The woman who took my order was so sweet and gracious.
I will for sure be returning.
Came for a nice thai soup! Very rude short guy at cash! Laughing with his co worker as I didn't quite understand how he was explaining my order! Never returning!

1st time ever having this food.

The ease of ordering online 5/5
I asked for lemon slices as a note and they added them 5/5
Delivered to my door so appreciated 5/5

The food however was mid as my 13 yr old described it.

We got 3 lunch specials wish I got one with noodles because the rice wasn't nice at all. The yellow color before I tasted it told me it wasn't gonna be to my liking. Again this is based on my taste buds. Just gave me more curry rice vibes then fried rice vibes.

Everything else was good enough. Also ordered food for dinner it all looks really good, got thick noodles for dinner.

I recommend them.
The lunch special is a really good price and good portion of food.

The hot and spicy shrimp are really good just alil too much batter but still really good.

Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the chicken fried rice, but mixing it with the meat and adding plum sauce helps.

I came here a few times and found some good dishes :)

I’d highly recommend the chef’s special pan fried pho and exotic fried rice. I’ve had two of the noodle soups which were pretty good as well, but not out of this world. I’d also highly recommend the taro milk tea and taro latte. I’ve tried all the rice paper rolls and I think spicy jicama peanut is the best :)

Wait staff is friendly, although they got my order wrong a few times (e.g. forgetting which dish I ordered, which size and omitting a dish altogether).

Great atmosphere and vibes, but it can get busy and noisy sometimes.

All in all, a solid place :)
it seemed to me that they were in a hurry and the food was a little unprepared

Worst Chinese take out ever! Meat was okay, but noodles were hard and had no taste. Also I ordered tofu and green beans..again..no taste at all. So hard for Chinese food to be this bad. Ate it because I didn’t have time to go to another place..but if I had time, I wouldn’t have eaten it…just straight to trash. Also the servers were very pushy!

Not gonna butcher this place with my comment as it was my first time and tried two different soups only and would give it another chance abd will definitely change my review if the food is better. For the soup, I tried hot & sour and House special wonton special but they were not good at all as the hot and sour was way too sour that I had to leave it after a few spoons, wonton soup was worst than the other and had to throw it as it didn't taste fresh at all. Bear in mind that this place is only a take out and there's no dine-in

FULL OF FLAVOR! Very authentic aromatic flavored dishes!

First time trying this place. The entire place is VEGAN!! A nice variety including banh mi, soups, sides, desserts, coffees etc.

My order - my and my friend shared all the items. We got lemongrass tofu banh mi + curry vermicelli + classic vegetarian pho. I got the small portion and it was very filling.

Ambience - a cute cozy, pretty on the inside type of place. Friendly staff and we got our food within 10 mins of order. Not too crowded during late lunch (2pm)
HAD TAKE AWAY FROM SKIP THE DISH...THE EGG ROLL WAS BURNT BLACK. THE NOODLES WERE OVERCOOKED...AND THE FRIED WONTONS WELL ILL GIVE THEM AN EDIBLE BUT NOTHING GREAT

Was so excited to finally try the Pad Thai from here tonight. I literally told my husband “this place has been around forever, this has to be good” and that was so far from the truth. It was awful. Zero flavour and so dry I had to chug water with each bite. Eventually I just asked my husband to finish it and he couldn’t even choke it down. So disappointed. I probably will never order from here again as our regular pad Thai place never lets us down. Attached is the picture. You can see it’s still warm but so dry the noodles are completely stuck together.

the chicken was not crispy at all and tasted like fish
20$ a plate…would not recommend at all, avoid

Order was wrong. Ordered lemon chicken and got thick mushy breaded chicken with no lemon sauce. Asked for ingredients not to be included due to allergies & sure enough it was in the food. I live 3 mins way and the food was cold when I got home (not warm, COLD). Quality of the food has gone downhill after recent ownership change. Not to mention it was a $65.00 order. Will not eat there again.

1st visit, Nov 8, 2023: Had the 2 item meal with 1 meat and 1 veggie. I had the cantonese noodles with mushroom beef and grilled zuchini. Noodles tasted great, grilled zuchini was nice and fresh. Mushroom beef tasted amazing, very savoury and a bit smoky flavour, perfectly flavoured and the mushroom complemented the beef nicely. All 3 items complemented each other nicely. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Only thing was the dish was a bit too oily, but asides from that, tasted delicious.

Will be visiting again.

Future: Try their pad thai, Kung Pao fish, chili chicken, and more.

I regret coming here for my special day. The food was just barely edible.

- The salad was extremely sour, and the rice crackers were soggy.
- The rice ball was okay, but I had no interest in the second one.
- The chicken wings were lacking in flavor and texture.
- The puff was undercooked and tasteless on the inside.
- As for my curry, oh my curry. The flavor was lackluster and seemed to be stuck in the middle of something and went nowhere. To make more matters, my curry contained nothing but six pieces of shrimp swimming in a sea of curry, without a single vegetable.is it new way??

+the beef dish wasn't mine, but the feedback from others wasnt good.

++We felt so off that we didn't want to give up on the experience and asked the chef for a special dish, whatever he wanted to cook for us…. This is where we realized that coming here was a mistake after last dish.

Regarding the service, serving at the table was fine, but it seemed like the people who came to pick up food were having a hard time. Everyone had to repeat their name and order to all three girls at the front. They didn't seem to communicate or coordinate, and it felt like they were all over the place. Better management is needed."

This is the absolute best place to get food for any students that have classes in the cineplex. Excellent prices for a lot of good food. Plus, the staff and so friendly and welcoming.
I probably should not rate this place bc literally every time I go I always get the chicken pad Thai, which is the best in the city. Not sure if their other food is good but they usually are busy so I'm assuming it is.
What a gem! This was my first time and definitely won't be my last.

We had a spectacular mango salad and veggie spring rolls. The shrimp green curry was outstanding...the best I ever had!

We are regulars here - the green and red curries are both consistently good and the pad Thai also is great

Tigers beers if you dine in
Didn't have a plan for dinner after a show in town. Stumbled across this gem of a place! Lovely decor, very friendly staff, but most importantly, the food was amazing! It is very authentic, delicious, and reasonably-priced. Will definitely be back when in Stratford next.

We’re visiting my boyfriends parents from out of town and we ordered some takeout. The customer service person was extremely helpful and friendly when we were placing our order. The food was delivered quickly and tasted AMAZING! We’ve tried a lot of Thai places and this one is definitely the best. 10/10 recommend!
Excellent food and very good service. You have to make a reservation ahead of time if you ever want to sit down.

One minor criticism is that there was only one song that played on a loop for our entire visit. I felt bad for the staff if they had to listen to it all day.

But I would definitely go back and I highly recommend it.
I would have given the food 4 stars, but they are serving awfully stale crushed peanuts on the counter that spoiled my meal.

EDIT 1: I decided to give this place another try, since I was craving pad-thai. All I can say is that for anyone who’s ever been to Thailand and eaten real thai to food, you should not have high expectations or any expectations at all. This food has no soul.
Super tasty place! I started off with a mango slushy tea with popping mango boba balls, which was absolutely amazing. They have quite the extensive "Boba bar" menu, with options for lychee, pearls, popping boba, and many different tea bases such as milk tea, fruit tea, soda, slushy, and more! The large size is about twice the size as the regular (pictured) Although it took a bit, I had the Braised Beef Noodle Soup for my main course, which left me stunned on how good it was. My only suggestion would be to make the soup less filling so I can eat even more of it! The atmosphere was very nice. It was clean and fresh, but at the same time, felt like a place you could come to to unwind and ear some delicious food. The bathrooms were very clean and even included Listerine mouthwash?? The waiters were very nice, and always double checked our orders (however I requested my soup without bok choy and it still came with it), and they were quick to notice the second our water looked even a little depleted. I would definitely go again if I was passing through Stratford again. 4.8/5!

Perhaps it was an off night, but ordered take out via DoorDash from Iyara this evening, and was thoroughly disappointed with what we received. Curry's were virtually all broth, with very little meat, which may be.a good thing as the chicken in my daughter-in-law's was undercooked and perceptibly pink to the point that we ended up pitching hers entirely. My own curry was ordered to be medium hot, yet had no perceptible spicy heat at all. The only saving grace was the spring rolls, which were delicious. On balance though, the worst Thai food I've ever had, and won't risk ordering from Iyara again. I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but this seems a must, as even on an off night, meat needs to be cooked, and the rest of the meal provided no evidence that the undercooked chicken was a one-off mistake.

The food & service were great. Our group of three shared four dishes & they were all tasty & nicely presented, especially the mango salad. The location is very convenient for anyone visiting the downtown area within easy walking distance of the free parking at the Cooper parking lot.
Ordered for delivery and the food was disappointing at best, dangerous at worst!
My partner has a food allergy and a surprise mixed veg was added to their thai fried rice - which they couldnt eat.
My pad thai was watery and flavorless with very little vegetables.

Food was tasty big portions not bad I opted for their vegetarian option 2-3 veggies with rice or noodles. Taste was great only thing is their eggplant veggie option was too salty the sauce they cover it with. I feel they should just grill the eggplant and lessen the salt. To note their fried rice has eggs so instead. Ask to be served plain rice if you have problem with egg. Good staff overall 4 stars 👍🏾
Food has always been good. Mostly get the chicken/tofu fried rice. Prices have really gone up recently.
But it's still one of the better choices in the Masonville food court IMO

I asked for beef and non spicy. She said Yes. It wasn’t beef stir fry, beef stew or whatever beef you would expect in any other food stands. What I was served were 9 or 10 small balls <1” of flour outside, precooked and fried before serve. Inside there was tiny minced mix tasted like some kind of protein or so I would want to believe it is meat.
It is cheating. Now it’s clear why they don’t present the dish components to be assembled like any other food stands do.
Spicy as well.
I brought the dish back & questioned if it was her mistake. No she said, that is how they got from head office, very quick in responding.

Common on.

Their price is much more expensive vs others as well. I paid $17 after tax vs less than $14 at Greek stand or even less at Thai Ruby or any others with same quantity or protein and veggies in their double choices.
Shameful.
Have been going here for years. Today I ordered Green Chicken Curry/Noodles. Barely any noodles and two pieces of chicken. Quality of food wasn’t what it used to be. You lost a long time customer today. I won’t be back.
This was the worst food experience I have ever had and would award it zero stars if I could. I threw out 2/3rds of the order of dinner for 6. Also, website has price at $69 but price charged was $99. Such a disappointment. Don't know how they can stay in business

If you remember the chain of Chinese restaurants around toronto called HO LEE CHOW . They abruptly closed back in 2005. I used to get couple of dishes from them and I always had one favourite dish. After the closure of HO LEE CHOW I went on a Chinese food hunt to find my old favourite, after many searches and trail, I found this place, as soon as I found out that the owners are ex owners of HO LEE CHOW on Winston Churchill I was ecstatic. I’ve been their customer since 2008 and I always get one dish (satay chicken). They make it very well. I like that dish so much that I would choose that as my last meal before checking out.
This store is strictly not recommended.
We Ordered chicken basil fried rice (extra spicy) with breaded chicken and no carrots.
We were given veggie basil rice and on bringing to the notice of the cook, he insisted on saying that we ordered veggie rice and asked us to be careful next time before complaining which was really rude .

I would give zero as the rating if there was any .
Horrible customer service. I ordered through door dash and when it arrived pieces of my order were missing. I called to discuss this with them, the man I spoke to on the phone refused to have the driver come back with the missing items (they are literally located 5 minutes down the road - 3.0km). In the end the man just hung up on me. I will not be ordering through them again and I will not be suggesting them to anyone I know. For being so close, the food that was delivered was soggy. Not impressed.

It was delicious! Satisfied with the food and service. We had spring roll , chicken satay and some noodles. We will be coming back.
If you are a big eater, then their portion/ serving might not be enough for you.
It used to be decent quality and a good price and the quality went down slightly and the price went up drastically. Some items are 3 to 4 dollars more than they used to be a year ago and you can get the same exact thing the taste way better, and are far better quantity from Bangkok pad Thai and thaiphoon. Their fresh rolls used to be a decent price but they went down in size and our way over priced now as well as their coconut rice is ridiculously overpriced for what it is. And the curry was never really that great. Just a very watery yet flavourful sauce but now they just charge you way too much and put almost nothing in it but watery sauce. You can get the same food at many other places. For sometimes the same price for way better quantity and quality and sometimes a few dollars more but the quantity and quality is just so much better. It’s worth a couple bucks. This place was great when it was so much cheaper than the rest that you quality it was just a cheap, quick easy and somewhat tasty order and now it’s just not worth what it is. I would not recommend it anymore unfortunately And the pad Thai was never good. It was it was always garbage.

For the price of $11 for this food was such a disappointment! A lot of rice and 5pcs of coconut shrimp. Its a joke! You barely see the shrimp it's all flour. Never ordering from here again. Disappointing.
The pad sew is tasteless 😞 wish I got rice instead. The bang bang chicken is much better. Value was ok, $11.06 for one meat and noodle/rice option.
Low quality and waste of $. More vegetables than meat in the dishes.. like you really have to dig to find a meat piece. I love hot and sour soup. You can say I am a connoisseur of hot n sour soup. Lets just say this place is doing an injustice to the soup. Would not recommend. Please make the prices appropriately reflect the quantity and quality of the food.

Don't write negative comments on staff. They can speak little English but sufficient for you to know the cuisines. Isn't it good that they cook so well and serve so fast? Food is value for money.
Near closing time (7pm onwards), they offer combo for $8.99 ($10.16 with tax).
They display the combinations e.g. chicken, fish, broccoli and rice.
If you are lucky, they let you choose your combination, 2 meat, 1 veggie with either rice or noodles.
Broccoli, Rice, noodles, I would give 2*, but it is just part of the combo.
So bear with it.
Careful when choosing pork. Some of their spices may have strong, unpleasant aroma.
Where is it - basement 2, just below Dundas Subway Station.
Plenty of seats, yet be prepared to wait for the seats because this place is always crowded. Popular amongst youngsters and students.

Okay fast food thai place. Selection is so-so, a little slim on options but fine considering it's clearly a working day lunch place.

Staff is okay. Pleasant enough but we will see if that stays up as people return to offices and they get busy.
I ordered Tom yum chicken spicy broth. Made fresh. Tasty. Large portion. Had to wait in line but it went pretty quick. Atmosphere is only 3 stars because after all it is in an underground food court.

Out of all the food court spots nearby, I always choose Thai express in Scotia plaza - the line gets long but they work through it so efficiently and it never takes more than a few minutes. The owner is also super kind and has offered exceptional customer service every single time.

The food is great and I’ve noticed higher quality eats here than other Thai express chains I’ve been to. They always cook it to perfection and I usually have enough for lunch and dinner! What a steal. I love that it’s cooked fresh in front of you and they offer the highest quality ingredients. So yummy and worth the price.

My go to is the pad see ew (sooo delish with the thicker noodles) and the curry chicken rice - it’s always come covered in the curry with the best consistency and leaves every bite very flavourful. The chicken is also never dry!

If you’re going to spend your lunch money, I highly recommend spending it here. Also very convenient to get to using the path from wherever you are because it’s in such a central financial district location.

I ordered yellow curry with chicken. Not sure where the curry is... :( Veggies tasted raw, chicken was cooked but not much flavor, and rice was kinda hard.
I love Thai Express, but this location is NOT it. I got the chicken pad thai and they completely skimped out on the chicken, like it was barely there. At most other locations I’ve been to they put a decent amount of chicken chunks, I could hardly find any in my dish. The flavor was also lacking. For $15 I expected more.
The Massaman I had here was quite possibly the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. Good sized portion of rice noodles and plain rice as well. Perfect amount of heat. I love it I love it I loooove it.
I ordered fried beef with vegetables and rice to go. The lady who took the order for some reason decided that it has to be a dish number 4. I asked her 3 times if that is the dish with the fried beef, and she told me that this is exactly what I asked for. When I opened my box I found some breaded nuggets on top of rice (supposedly beef?). I was shocked. It didn't look appetizing at all... I don't eat breaded meat but I tried one nugget. It was chewy like rubber and absolutely tasteless. I almost threw up... What a disappointment and what a waste of money!

Last winter I placed the order with the same description and got a wonderful meal. This time the entire box went to the garbage. I will not order food from this place ever again!

My fren just introduced me to cream cheese wontons. It was interesting, she said the fresh ones are even yum. It was good. Loved the fresh spring rolls, the peanut sauce with it does the miracle. The spring normal are huge n good.

Great place that I discovered during covid.first of all, great and sanitary procedure of how to give customers food in the store. Secondly, the food is spot on and genuine. Taste is really fresh, light and much more memorable than the likes of other Chinese food I've had recently.
Ordered two pad Thai, medium spice, and one spring shrimp roll. Both pad Thai were super spicy, and almost in edible. And they forgot to put any shrimp in the roll. This is the second time they get my order wrong so I took pictures of everything. There are other Thai restaurants very close to this location. Order from the others if you don't want a disappointing dinner.
I love the food here, especially the tom-kha soup, but there are some items on the menu that I think are lacking flavour - the pad Thai was a little bit disappointing. I would say I enjoy the soups more over main dishes. When I've dined-in service has been pretty good. The lunch features for about $12.99 I believe are also superb.

Nonetheless, I still really enjoy the food - I wish the prices were a little less compared to some other small restaurants, but I understand that this is a family-run business and regardless, Iyara Thai has my coin!
It's a good local place and has been in our community for many years. Food is usually fine but sometimes heavy on the vegetables / breading and less meat than average. On one occasion, ordered dinner for four and specifically asked for no onions. Was assured that only the spring rolls have onion. This is one of the dishes that arrived :(
Small place in a strip mall by the old Vasalund site. It was fantastic, great service, wonderful food. It might be a bit far out, but worth a trip, especially if you're in the area.
MMM yummy Pad Thai! I got the shrimp pad Thai noodles, it was delicious. Great for a quick semi healthy meal, or a little lunch date. Reasonable prices and they cook it right in front of you. I like to watch them make it. Keep it up Thai Express.
Check it...

There was discounted meals for 8.99 when I came here around 7pm. Whatever is left over got discounted to 6.99 at 8pm. I got the noodles with chicken and broccoli which tasted great. My stomach didn’t feel the greatest after though. Would only recommend end of day if you can stomach it. Otherwise the other items during the day are much better.

If you toward the end of the day, they pre package food and sell it at a lower price. We ordered two boxes or mixed food and it was surprisingly delicious, especially the octopus!

Sesame chicken is a must. Lemon chicken keeps well in the fridge and isn't bad with the sweet sauce you get with the wontons. Nice staff. Overall not a bad place for something different and quick.
Seems the workers there are authentic Thai. This is the small size pad Thai which costed me 7.92 CAD with tax. I bought it and had it just a few minutes after paying…It was the most dreadful pad Thai I had ever had in my life! They claimed that they had fish ingredients in it, which I guessed that it was Thai fish sauce. It was not lightly fishy yet appetising as I expected. It was unpleasantly sour and the pad seemed to had been kept for long time in storage which became rancid! The shop claimed that they sold the best pad Thai in London. You are warned before trying! I shall never be there again!
I ordered pickup, Black pepper beef with steamed rice ($17). Food tasted OK and had good amount of spice but portion was unbalanced and could have used more beef, it was basically all onion under the top layer. This is a very small takeout place with no seating and it looks pretty dingy on the outside, the inside is not much better as it's very cluttered and not very appealing. There is parking available and service was pretty quick. The experience was definitely not anything special, I don't think I will be back anytime soon.
Small portions, barely any meat, poor presentation.

Too expensive.

Go to Bourbon Street Grill right next door instead! Same expensive price, buy at least they aren't stingy with the meat and veggies.

What do you expect from a food court offering?

Myself, I like to satisfy my hunger, and that’s exactly what California Thai did for me while I was walking around the Yonge-Dundas area looking for a good bite.

I was there pretty late so I could sit beside the windows overlooking the Square; lucky me. I’m not sure, however, how lucky you’d be if it was during the day and much busier.
I had a vegetarian dish but, it really neither tasted nor smelt like a vegetarian food :-(

But, for those non-vegetarians who wants a vegetarian dish, they atleast have more options. The quantity was more as well.

I ordered rice noodles, tiger shrimp, and spicy beef. Spicy beef had numbing spice! Fortunately it was not too strong. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The service was efficient. One of the reviewer was right that everything tastes close to Chinese than Thai food. While it won’t beat McDonald’s on the price, I enjoyed the overall experience. I would not mind visiting again.
