This place is amazing! We went from Thessaloniki by car, around 3h, but it was worth the effort. We visited St Stephan Monastery and Holy Trinity and it was accepted only cash for the tickets. 3eur/person in May 2024. The monastery souvenir shop had a POS in place.Unique view!
Eindrucksvolle historische Stätte, hilfreichen Hinweistafeln. 6 Euro Eintritt p.P. sind gerade noch ok, der Erhalt der Anlage dürfte aufwendig sein.
Meteora is one of the best places I've visited so far, and in my opinion, it's a must-see destination with surreal wild scenery. Additionally, the history of the cliff-hanging monasteries is fascinating.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Whatever can be written about it will be small compared to the greatness of this place. We visited it in the afternoon at the beginning of May and it was very peaceful - there were parking spaces and it was peaceful in the monasteries themselves.
Loved it! Run by a real football enthusiast who has so many rarities in his collection! If you love football, its a must visit place@
Its divine. The views are beautiful. Lovely sunsets. Beautiful monasteries. Lovely hikes. Amazing restaurants. You need 2 days to really enjoy the place. Don't miss it.

This has to be a wonder of the world! You must put this on your bucket list. Avoid peak times and often the most enjoyable part is hiking around the mountains and not necessarily in the monasteries.
Beautiful temple! I visited on a weekday and it was literally empty. 6 euros(only cash) entry fee as of April 2024 but well worth it. The vistas are amazing! The small museum leaves a lot to be desired. There was some kind of construction going on when I visited, so maybe there will be an expansion and more artifacts be put on display?
Speechless! It's definitely worth going to! Don't be alarmed by the stairs, they are in great condition and you can enjoy the view along the way. One important thing is to make sure to bring cash for the ticket (3 euro per non-Greek person). Also, don't stress about the dress code as women are offered a pareo.
A wonderful visit to the monasteries of Meteora. Read up on them first. Look at all the photos you want: no photo does the place justice.

As a big football fan this was probably the coolest place I have ever been, with official worn and signed shirts from some of the games greats Pele, Maradona, Beckenbauer, Ronaldinho, Messi, CR7, Cruyff, and many many more as well as a great catalog of Greek jerseys and other match memorabilia including the Euros trophy given to Greece following their victory in 2004. The guy working there is super knowledgeable and chill and has good suggestions if you’re visiting Chania, they also sell jerseys here and I got a Chania kit as well as a Greek national kit. If you are even faintly interested in football this is somewhere I’d highly recommend.

Not much information and poorly presented, much like the rest of Greece's ancient monuments. Shame really.
The view from here was amazing - and the walk up the hill was great and with lots of peace and quiet. I walked up from the south/west side of the hill and it was very beautiful.
Great place to relax with friends, perfect views at the sea and the Acropolis.

The like walk up there is definitely do-able for everyone. The view from the monument and all places around it are absolutely worth it!

A relatively small museum located within the archeological site of the Temple of Aphaia. Admission ticket is included in the entrance fee, so the visit to the museum is already paid for. Some of the statues are not on the site itself but in the museum, so definitely spend a few minutes at least to see some of the statues that they managed to dig out.
Absolute gem of a place. Packed walls to ceiling with 1000’s of pieces of amazing memorabilia.
Nikos the owner is such a wonderful person and gladly will show you all his treasures, explaining everything in depth.
It’s free to visit and he sells souvenir jerseys and other items so you can take a little bit of Greece back home.

Ωραίος χώρος όπου γίνονται συχνά εκδηλώσεις και φυσικά κάνει πρόβες η μικτή χορωδία της Κηφισιάς. Δίπλα έχει την δημοτική βιβλιοθήκη με αμέτρητους τίτλους βιβλίων να δανειστειτε.
Πολύ ωραίος χώρος!! Επισκέφτηκα την έκθεση του James Bond, πολύ αξιόλογη έκθεση ελπίζω να ξανα φιλοξενήσει το μουσείο ίδιας φύσεως εκθέσεις!!

Ο χώρος δέχεται περίπου 90 καθίσματα και διατίθεται για μαθήματα του ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου Κηφισιάς, παρουσιάσεις βιβλίων κλπ. Έχει έναν όμορφο κήπο και βρίσκεται σε έναν πολύ ήσυχο δρόμο στο κέντρο της Κηφισιάς.

Wonderful museum, I learned so much more than I expected. In addition to the ships and maritime history, there's also pottery proving shipping routes nearly 5k years back, bronze and early iron work, even obsidian tools.
So much more than I had expected to find.

Bon, bien sûr, comparé au musée archéologique ça ne vaudrait qu'une étoile, mais j'ai mis 5 pour attirer l'œil. Chaque année, ce musée propose des œuvres d'art moderne sympa et qui changent des habituelles (trop) œuvres des musées classiques.

Je sais que les touristes visitent Héraklion en 1/2 journée. Chaque fois que je viens en Crète, cad tous les ans, j'y reste 2 ou 3 jours, histoire de se mettre dans le bain des vacances.

Super informative and interesting, about how the amazing mountains of Meteora were formed. Everything is in both English and Greek and there is also a video with English subtitles. Definitely worth a visit, especially since it's free, close to the path and to a nice café
My husband and I visited the museum today and we are so happy with the visit !Our visit started with warm welcome from Maria the front desk young lady!!She was so Nice and so professional and friendly!!!we can not say enough.

Museum and Temple of goddess Aphaia in Aegina island, nice to visit especially the temple, the Museum is very small but quite interesting. During the week in not crowded and the ruins are still well preserved.
The bus from the city center stop right in front of the entrance and it takes 20 minutes.

My father was born and raised in this village, and I grew up here as a child. The history and knowledge gained walking out blew my mind. It was literally a new light shed on my home town.
It was insanely clean and fully air-conditioned. Our guide, Captain George was radically knowledgeable and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. If you love learning new things, he will give you all the juicy and fun facts with all the love in his heart. It's an experience I highly recommend if your passing through.
Additionally, a very rude Swiss woman came in and was super loud for a museum and threatened them with a bad review. We all jump in to ask her nicely to simply keep it down because we were enjoying our learning experience that much. #swisskaren your loss in such an amazing experience.

Learned a lot for the history of Galaxidi from the ancient times until the recent ones, but also about the nautical history of Greece in general. Amazing nautical post stamp collection from all over the world. Please ask when Captain Giorgos is available to really guide you through the museum. His calmness and voice, along with his comments on facts about the history of the village, are creating a journey that you cannot forget. Will visit again.
A small, but nice museum of the Aphasia temple. Access is via the main gate to the temple and included in the ticket price.
If you want to know the story of the Greek national team and not only. If you are a foitball fun then you can find more than 3500 items to see, in this tiny musium. TShirts of Pele, Maradona, Mesi , Ronaldo and do mang others csn be found at this musium. Mr Nikis can explain you everything, hell you to learn more about the European football history and not only. No entrance fees, but you may purchase a memorial Tshirt or a hat to remember your visit.

This is truly an outstanding museum, ran by a wholesome + friendly man who has incredible knowledge on football. The minor details he knew blew my mind and we had a good chat about Greek footballers who had played in England over the past 20-30 years, amongst general football based on what was on display at this museum. This is by far one of the best museums I have had the pleasure of visiting, if not THE best. It absolutely does not surprise me that this museum holds only 5* reviews, and was recognised in 2016 for an award with Tripadvisor.
It is difficult to appreciate the volume of memorabilia that this museum holds, all free of charge, so make sure to leave a tip!
There are plenty of shirts to purchase, too. Although you cannot purchase any of the displays, there is a diverse selection of football shirts for sale from the Greek Super League, the Greek National Team, International Countries and also general football teams.

Very impressive "artefacts" of all sizes. The museum is small but the entrance fee is only 2 €. The showcases could be lit.
It is randomly closed. "The owner has another business ". Would be worth calling upfront as a little remote.
Best football museum I've seen. The guy was very knowledgable and took an hour to tell us about the exhibits. Would highly recommend visiting.

Very informative and great way to learn interesting things about geology and formation of Meteora. There are many information boards to read around the place. It is a free of charge to enter, so I wouldn’t miss an opportunity to visit this museum.

Στη βίλλα Αμαρυλλίς, δίπλα στο μουσείο παρακολούθησα μια εκπληκτική διάλεξη από την Εριφύλη Γαλλή, για τη Μη Λεκτική επικοινωνία, σε ένα μέρος στο οποίο έζησε ο Γ.Δροσίνης τα τελευταία χρόνια της ζωής του.
Ένα μουσείο που αξίζει οπωσδήποτε να επισκεφθείτε. Η συλλογή του είναι τεράστια με ορυκτά κυρίως από την χώρα μας και διαθέτει και κάποια πολύ σπάνια εκθέματα. Ο χώρος είναι περιποιημένος με αρκετές σύγχρονες προθήκες. Σε διπλανό κτήριο επίσης μπορείτε να επισκεφθείτε το μουσείο παλαιοντολογίας καθώς και το ζωολογικό μουσείο με την τεράστια συλλογή πτηνών.
Μικρό μουσείο αλλά με εξαιρετική συλλογή ταριχευμένων ζώων από πολλές οικογένειες. Η υπεύθυνη του μουσείου είναι πολύ εξυπηρετική με όρεξη και πάθος. Βρίσκεις εύκολα χώρο στάθμευσης ενώ χρειάζεσαι περίπου μια ώρα για να δεις όλα τα εκθέματα.
Το μουσείο εικαστικών τεχνών στο Ηράκλειο αποτελεί ένα διαμάντι που δυστυχώς λίγος κόσμος το γνωρίζει. Οι εικαστικές τέχνες έχουν ένα ευρύ περιεχόμενο και πολυδιάστατο χαρακτήρα και συμπεριλαμβάνουν κάθε μορφή εικαστικής δημιουργίας (έργα τέχνης, εικόνες και αντικείμενα) που σχετίζονται με τον πολιτισμό και το περιβάλλον. To be clear, this is a former church where they hang a rotating gallery of paintings. It's quite nice to walk through when nearby, and at least the exhibit I saw was lovely, but we're talking a fifteen minute break from the sun more than a full museum.
Absolutely amazing museum with an extremely passionate owner. Nikos knows everything and brings up every single detail about whatever you ask, or don’t ask! Asked about my hometown football club and showed a shirt. His collection of football memorabilia is absolutely stunning. He also gave us tips about things to do in the western part of Crete. What-a-blast! Thanks Nikos!
Had the most amazing experience here taking in amazing history. As an English man our national team has never won the European Cup and this museum holds the replica trophy for the 2004 campaign. The man that works here was so intellectual and knew almost everything. We even discussed Cretan and Greek politics over a good hour. The museum is free so I left a big tip for amazing service

Very interesting museum if you have small kids and want to learn more about paleontology. However the exhibits are outdated and the whole place needs a good renovation. If you don’t have a car it may be difficult to get to the place especially during weekends.
Στα θετικά θα πούμε ότι έχει δωρεάν είσοδο και ένα πάρκο για παιδάκια ακριβώς δίπλα. Στα αρνητικά η μέτρια ποικιλία εκθεμάτων με τις όχι αρκετά αναλυτικές επιγραφές. Υπάρχει μόνο ένα άτομο προσωπικό και σε 15 λεπτά έχεις δει τα πάντα.

Art exhibition… very beautiful historic building, helpful personnel there. Always feel welcome to see and explore every new exhibition they have. And of course free of charge. Free entrance.
Easy access to the site, you can take the bus for around €1.60-€2 per journey look up the bus times online or ask at the booth, make sure you have cash as the ticket booth only takes cash. You can also take a taxi to get there for around €17 per route. There is a cafe and souvenir shop at the other site of the temple that you an visit after looking around the temple area. Visit the small museum inside temple site and take photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Also don't forget to try and buy some of the pistachio product of the island, you can get them near Port Aegina.
Εξαιρετικό μουσείο, φτιαγμένο με πολλή αγάπη για τον μεγάλο ποιητή και άνθρωπο Γεώργιο Δροσίνη. Ιδιαίτερη συναισθηματική αξία έχει το ότι πρόκειται για το τελευταίο σπίτι του ποιητή. Εξαιρετικό ενδιαφέρον επίσης έχουν τα αρκετά προσωπικά του αντικείμενα και χειρόγραφα.
A really nice museum definitely worth visiting giving a scientific insight on the creation of the Meteora formation. A good collection of beautiful exhibits amplify the pleasure. If in the area definitely worth visiting, also free!
Very nice building with alot history.it was made centuries ago as basilica church destroyed by earthquake and rebuild again.during its history had alot uses even as a musk 400 years ago .the today form and use is from 1950 . The place is now art exhibition centre and hosts beautiful artwork.covid measures as mask is needed to enter the place.
Καλό θα ήταν να αναφέρεται ευκρινώς πότε λειτουργεί για να μην ξεσηκώνεται κάποιος από το σπίτι του να έρθει και να το βρίσκει κλειστό ενώ στις ιστοσελίδες που το αφορούν να φαίνεται ανοιχτο. Δεν είναι μάντης ο άλλος να μυρίσει τα νύχια του.

Το Μουσείο Γεωργίου Δροσίνη βρίσκεται στο κέντρο της Κηφισιάς και στεγάζεται στη βίλλα «Αμαρυλλίς», στο σπίτι που έζησε ο Γ. Δροσίνης τα τελευταία χρόνια της ζωής του και φέρει το όνομα της κεντρικής ηρωίδας ενός από τα πρώτα και δημοφιλέστερα έργα του ποιητή.

Ενα κρυμμενο κοσμημα στο λοφο απεναντι απο το λιμανι! Για οσους "κυνηγουν" την ομορφια, την ποιοτητα, τις ευγενεις ιδεες, την τεχνη. Ο Κωστης Σχιζακης, διευθυντης και ψυχη του ΜΕΤΗ, σε ξεναγει και σε καθοδηγει στον χωρο των εικαστικων τεχνων που αποκαλυπτουν το εργο Κρητων και γενικα Ελληνων καλλιτεχνων της συγχρονης εποχης. Πολλες οι εκθεσεις, ατομικες, ομαδικες θεματικες και η τελευταια για το 2019 "Dolls", απο οπου και οι φωτογραφιες, ενω με ενδιαφερον αναμενεται το 2020 η εκθεση των εργων της συλλογης του μουσειου!
Ένα ιστορικό κτίριο, με πολύ ωραίο εξωτερικό χώρο. Έχει μια καλή συλλογή βιβλίων, ειδικά για παιδιά.
Θα μπορούσε να είναι ένα πολύ σημαντικό κέντρο πολιτισμού στην περιοχή, αν εμπλουτιζόταν με Η/Υ και ανακαινιζόταν.

The building is impressive but the impressiveness of the Art inside depends on what exhibition is currently offered. For my visit it was scenes from Cretan landscapes, which were ok but not amazing.

Small museum well curated with pieces from the local history from the ancient times till the modern times. Coins, pieces from everyday life, weapons from Greek revolution and paintings from the naval history of the city. There was also an awesome volunteer guide who explained very thoroughly everything. Unfortunately I would not recommend it as a visit with young kids.

Excellent place with a great collection
A nice and free museum that explains history of how Meteora developed. It starts at the beginning literally 4.7 billion years ago when this planet was formed. It explains rocks, minerals and over 2 stories lays out step by step process of the region.

The small archeological collection is FREE! to see. The small martime collection costs 3€ I was told.

after destroying our fishing industry and nearly all fishing boats shipyards closed according to Directives which lost thousands of jobs to Greek people,a nation of mariners through thousands of years the final graveyard action is to diminish our Maritime Museums..Young people don't get the chance to know our marine history..This difficult task endeavours your Maritime Museum...To people not only locals of the long history of Galazidi as a Port ,as a center of building ships and boats until steam engine ships appeared and locals didn't had the chance to built steel ships for reasons that are self explanatory..I wish you courage to your travels..dimitris.v.rallis ,naval architect.
