Best Persian restaurants in Iran

Food is great, again we had lamb chops.
The atmosphere is very good at the restaurant. The restaurant also accepts foreign currency.

However, the staff don't seem to have professional training that they should not bring the bill when the customers are having the meal. We took some time to convert the money since I paid foreign currency, so after I paid, my food got cold. Another annoying thing is that - the first night we had the meal and paid smoothly, but the next day, I phoned them to get a take away of the same food I ordered the day before (they do remember me). I said I would come to collect the food and pay in 20-30min; I asked them several times to cook first as I needed to rush to the bus terminal - but by the time I went there, several young members of staff didn't know about my order, when they finally found the person who took my phone call, the person said that the manager does not allow them making the food first before payment. But nobody called me back. I wasted a lot of time but still couldn't get the take away.

Poor service even though enough staff hanging around.

I had personally good experience here, from food to service and atmosphere, but as I suggest this Restaurant to my Family, they explain me some unexpected behaviors about service and the guy who did everything there (cashier and waitress in same time), 20 minutes after she brought the menu, she asked you should order asap, we can not wait such a long time for taking order, although almost all tables were free!!!

We searched for a good and popular restaurant in Shiraz, but we were kind of disappointed with the experience. Sharze is at best an average restaurant. Quality of food is good and there is a live music band entertaining customers. Menu is diverse including traditional and modern cuisine. But the design, quality of service, personnel definitely needs a lot of improvement.

There are too many options and it's famous around shiraz, the quality of what we ordered I think it was merza qasemi or Kashk badomjon, cause all other option include meat, and my friend was vigan and can't order other foods, it's quality was not as good as we eat same food in a small local restaurant beside Pasargard, as this dish was a dessert so we should order another food too, cause they aren't accept only dessert, we ordered a special food, it costs 600k, but we didn't had time to eat it there cause it took a long time maybe more than 1 hours until they make it, and we bring it to hormuz with ourself, but unfortunately we lost it there someone in just a second stole it.

We've order 1 lamb chunk + 1 soup + 1 plate of rice + 2 tea in first month of 2024 with a price of 875 thousand toman
It was delightfully delicious with a spectacular tasting sauce
The view was really eye-catching
Service was fair but it could be better

Its location provides you with a view of the city but apart from that there is absolutely nothing great about this place. Is is simply overpriced with average quality of food and below average taste

It's relatively a good restaurant in the historical centre of Shiraz, right at the entrance of the Vakil mosque. The menu consists of traditional Iranian dishes. The food is decent, though no exceptional. I had mushroom soup and barg kebab. The soup was tasteless, and I needed a lot of salt and pepper to add some flavour. The kebab was fine. The service is OK, but as is the case with many other restaurants I have visited in Shiraz, the attitude of the personnel is rather dry. They have live music on the lower floor. It's slightly overpriced as well.

ما تقریبا هر سال برای برگزاری شب جشن یلدای خانوادگی به این رستوران می‌رویم. فضای زیبا و دلنشینی دارد. موسیقی زنده دارد که البته بلندی صدا شاید کمی اذیت کند. غذا با کیفیت بود ولی نمره ۳.۵ از ۵ برای آن کافی است.

The place looks good but the food is terrible. One dizi with one yogurt drink came to 307,000 tomans - not worth it at all. If you go to other dizi restaurants, like Dizi Sara, you will get SO much more for 350,000, as well as delicious food, fresh hot bread, and tea with sweets, all included in the price.

This place is amazing don’t expect luxury settings but just good food in an extremely busy restaurant in the main bazzar. One of the oldest restaurants in Tehran but the food was very good just because of the footfall all the ingredients are fresh. The price is very good to

One of the two best restaurants in Farahzad. Among the restaurants of this style, it had the best space and cleanliness. The food was delicious and ordinary. The rice is not hot enough. It also had a parking lot. Before, I had heard that they warn women about the hijab and prevent them from entering, but the day we went, there was no problem and everyone was comfortable. It was announced only once or twice from the speaker and it seems that they were forced!

Disappointing Experience - Avoid This Restaurant

I recently visited Sharze Restaurant during my trip to Shiraz, and I must say it was a highly disappointing experience. I feel compelled to share my feedback to caution other tourists.

First and foremost, the quality of the food was subpar. The dishes I ordered lacked flavor and were poorly executed. It was evident that little care was put into their preparation. The ingredients seemed stale, and the overall presentation was unappetizing. I was truly disappointed with the taste and overall quality of the meals.

Additionally, the staff's behavior was far from acceptable. They were consistently rude and inattentive throughout my visit. It felt as if they were doing me a favor by serving me. They lacked basic courtesy and failed to address my concerns when I raised them.

Moreover, the atmosphere of the restaurant was underwhelming. The ambiance was dull and uninviting, which further added to my overall dissatisfaction.

I highly advise fellow tourists to avoid Sharze Restaurant during their visit to Shiraz. There are plenty of other dining options available that offer better quality food, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere. It's disheartening to see a place with such potential fall short in every aspect.

I hope my review serves as a helpful warning to others, allowing them to make more informed choices when it comes to dining in Shiraz.

The food quality is premium. However,
Some of the small family cottages have wooden frames, but some do not. The bare cottages are so close to the next one in which smoking of other customers annoyed me much.
There are lots of deprived youth employment in the restaurant, which I am more than certain there are not paid and treated fairly!
There were regular public announcements regarding women's compliance with Hijaab! It was indeed uncomfortable and distracting!
For the first time in my life, I asked the servant to bring the bill, but he smilingly refused and insisted that we stay and have more fun!!!!

We had a good night and dinner there, with the delicious kebab that they gave it to me

I have had Kabab Koubideh and Soltani with rice. The side dish was not good enough but the main course is good specially Koubideh, but Barg part was just fine. You can have a good meal in comparison with economic prices. Since I have had it delivery I have no idea about atmosphere.

The food was very very cold , old and not fresh , nothing special, everything was under normal ..... I WILL NEVER BACK AGAIN & DO NOT GO THERE !!! YOU WILL REGRETS.

I like their Khoresh Gheymeh and Loghmeh Koobideh. The food quality is above average and the staff members were very polite. I’ve noticed the staff carried people’s trays to the terrace section if they were seen with shopping bags or kids. The prices could be less as I remember the quality used to be far better in other branches some years ago.
It has the fountain view in front and the area is very clean and well maintained.

If you want to taste authentic Persian food, this is the place, there are different options to choose from and all of them are high quality, the staff were very polite and the outdoor seats were clean and had beautiful atmosphere. The only downside is the prices. Very high prices.

Believe it or not but we have to stay in line for 30 minutes to get inside. This tells you something about the quality of food. We had chicken and lamb kebabs and both were delicious with very fresh meat. I recommend it for the traditional iranian lunch.

a really nice and chique restaurant with quality food that hosts Iranians and Tourists alike. Very easy to get to by train/bus/taxi and the prices are also great... a great way to introduce people to authentic "Aab Gousht" - a staple of Iranian cuisine. THEY ARE ONLY OPEN FOR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH. if you want a vegetarian aab gousht , you must call a day in advance... but don't be so LA. loved it.

The food was good. They serve traditional Abgoosht, which is delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Make sure to try some Baghlava and tea after your meal.

It is like help yourself restaurant that choose your food in a queue and then pay for everything you chosed.
It is famous for Persian cuisine.
On weekends and holidays this restaurant gets so crowded and would get time in queue.
Our food was not bad and dishes got cold.
It is not cheap restaurant.
I don't recommend this place!

The food's taste was good even almost excellent but it was too much greasy and definitely a health hazard. I personally had almost fallen in love with it at first but then felt the results of too much oil in the food. The decorations though are exceptional that make the restaurant almost like a museum. If only the food had less oil in it, it could be a lot better.

The quality of the food was better in the past but now is just acceptable. Also, they served Tahdig with Gheyme as a side dish for free and that was very exciting, but now there is no such thing. As far as this restaurant is located within the Negarestan garden and just for the entrance you must pay an amount of money the quality and the service of the restaurant should be perfect.

Despite having many guests, the service was good and fast, Dizi was great, kebabs are adequate and pricing isn't cheap but not too high either. Garden is beautiful and Hookahs were gooood.

Dizi, this traditional Iranian food, comes in different and in some cases new formulas in Tilit restaurant. Having said that, traditional ones are more popular and its famous "professional" dizi is super delicious.

The restaurant itself is located in a very old neighborhood in bazaar and its architect has, pretty much successfully, tried to keep the sense of the old building.

The only problem is that its very crowded, especially on weekends. Sometimes you have to wait an hour before you can get a table.

The Interior design and lighting were incredible. The food was great and they served it like old Iranian restaurants. The prices were a little higher than they usually are, but it was worth it. To me, there would be another time.

The quantity of food is enormous here! We tried the lamb and chicken and both of them were very good. Very quick service as well, seems like always being crowded

رسما از شهرتی که کم و بیش در گذشته داشته، سو استفاده می کنه. دو بار با اسنپ فود سفارش دادم، میشه گفت افتضاح ترین تجربه را داشتم. کیفیت فوق العاده پایین است و عملا بدترین غذایی بود که سفارش دادم. علاوه بر اینکه در سفارش هم کم فروشی وجود داشت. در اسنپ فود هم نظرات منفی را نمایش نمی دهند و اگر میشد امتیاز پایین تر می دادم.

اکر حوصله رستوران های پر زرق و برق با مشتری های پر سر وصدا رو ندارید و دوست دارید یه غذای خوب تو محیط آروم بخورید، صاحبدلان جوابه

The quality of the products they use for cooking is excellent, and fresh.

Authentic Iranian cuisine, made with love and passion! You have to stand in the line for 20 minutes in the heart of the grand bazaar, but trust me, it’s worth it!

Food is so delicious an yummy. You could enjoy and taste real food. I’ve ordered Barg kebab which was beautiful. The only negative point of this restaurant is small space for lots of people. I shared small table with three other people in Covid time.

I ordered 'Tah Chin (Chicken)' but it was just acceptable.
They didn't have 'the local Dough' which is kinda weird, and there was no background music.

Located in the old city of Tehran, in a friendly atmosphere, which is nice for those who like traditional restaurants, they do have old-fashioned and nostalgic pictures on the walls. You may see some crowd over there due to limited area and good foods. One of things I enjoyed was the washrooms were separated from main hall, placed in the basement.

The DIZI I ordered, was delicious with roughly good price. Everything was fresh such as vegetables, pickles, bread, meat and so on. Staff were nice, respectful and fast.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was good and it has parking.

Awesome loghme kebab! I have tried Persian food in several spots in the city. However, the Khaghan’s tastes more authentic than others. The quality is perfect and pretty well-priced. I ordered online and recommend it for sure.

If you happen to visit Tehran’s Grand Bazaar and experience higgledy piggledy in a whole new way, make sure to enlighten your shopping experience with a top-notch genuine Persian restaurant that is like no other! This is Persian cuisine perfection at its finest. Of course it’s not supposed to be a posh restaurant environment wise but all the other aspects like food quality, freshness, hygiene as well as value for money are impeccable.

A traditional Iranian resturant with an interesting interior design. The resturant atmosphere and decoration reflects the old Iranian structures and culture.
You have to seat around their social tables unless your group is large.
They serve you a small peace of “Tahchin” to say welcome. We tried their Kebabs and their stews which were very ordinary and they were not worth their prices. Their traditional drinks were good but expensive.
Totally, I do not recommend you this resturant as you can find better options in this area with more affordable prices.

Rotten lemon, cold and pre-cooked kebab, bad selection of music, untrained staff and rather high price for the service and food. I Won’t suggest it.

I really shocked when they told me you have to sit with others on a table so I prefer to leave with out take anything, but then I go to cafe and very enjoyed, highly recommended café, not interested in restaurant at all!

Nice atmosphere, and expert chef. They have been in the business for a long time, in different places and experiences. There is a salad bar as well that you can select your dish from several different salads/deserts as well as soup and yogurt. This restaurant has agreement with the Snap-Food, that you can order via this application/homepage.

Excellent restaurant. The Soltani Tahdig with Ghormeh Sabzi Stew tasted great, and there's free tea and salad bar. The food was ready within a few minutes, and it was enough for two.

This restaurant is one of the best traditional Iranian restaurants, but the prices of food are very high, the time to prepare food was very fast and hot food served to us, if you are a tourist and need to save more money, I will suggest others restaurants ...

If you want to try Iranian food, this is definitly the place. Crowded as hell but i guarantee its worth the wait. Phenomenal food. Just go and wait in its line and enjoy the best food youve eaten in a while.

A traditional resturant which serves traditional Iranian food. There is a food named Matanjan which is a heritage from Safavid dynasty. The quality and was good. Price is a little bit high

Last night we went these for dinner. A well designed and welcoming interior that impresses the visitor at the entrance.

Me and my friend ordered ”Day Soup” and ”Spinach Burani” as starters. I chose “Chicken Kebab” and my friend chose “Sheep Muscale” as the main courses.

The soup tasted rather tender and the mushrooms felt like they had ended up in the soup directly from the canned jar. Spinach with yogurt was a regular blend without any additional spices or treatment at all.

The chicken was soft but without any taste. The potatoes following in both main course plates were cold.

The served Sheep Muscale had not been processed at all and I had to do some work before I got it in a good condition (see the picture). The meat was ropy and hard to chew.

Great place, cheaper than other restaurant in this area and prices are more logical. Many couches and open space.

I am a poor student who is trying to travel
I have been here yesterday. When i was traveling the garden smell of the restourant drived me in. But as i am on a budget holiday i would just ask the menu and prices. If it was too expensive i would run away.

I entered asked for the menu of course everything was farsi. So i couldnt understand and i start asking (i just know the numbers so i saw the prices were between 50 and 10) so i tought i could eat a cheap thing just to taste. Then i sat and a lady came to help. Translated all the menu for me 1 by 1 and i recognized the things with the price 10 were rice and other things not food staff the cheapest food was chicken 28k tumen. I wanted to leave there but i was ashemed for thr lady because she wasted her at least 10 min with me for translation. So i choose the chicken food. While waiting for the food i went to wash my hands and i tought about escaping :) but i also tought this would be terribe for them so i decide to walkback and tell if they did not start preparing i wouldnt order (and tell i was sorry)

But when i return my table they already put a kind of food on my table so i decide to eat. It was the best rice i have ever eat in iran untill now. Then the food came in a huge hot pan and another huge pan of rice next to it. The food was chicken with eggplant. I have never eat egg plant in my life and i hate its taste it gives me nausea. But as i am poor and already ordered i decide to eat. I divided it into smaller pieces and i eat mixing with rice and chicken other things. OMG the taste was over great fabulous.

I enjoyed the food a lot it was very delicious and when i enter there i was hungry like wolf. It satisfied me fully (still i wanted to eat a bit more but there was no place left in my stomach). And they brought a metal cup with ice inside and a bottle of water with a closed cap (in many places they take money for this without i order and when i go to pay i tell them i did not drink water so they recalculate the price (ugliest thing a restaurant can do)). Then as there was ice in it and it was melting i tought even i did not open the bottle the ice is melting so anyway i should pay even i did not order. So instead of payying without drinking i drunk water too. (this was my stressful part)

Water was great to drink from that metal cup with ice (as metal transfers heat better my lips were freezing so i felt like it was even colder than ice) so i even enjoyed that even i did not order and i was ok with payying it. The food was awesome for sure with great ingredients (higher quality) and there was music very much matchin with the ambience. The waiters were careful and wathing always to help.

When i was satisfied there was still lots of food left (with the part i eat 2 people can satisfy i ate like a cow) and i asked a thing to put leftovers latelly it became my dinner). And i go to pay biggest surprise for me they did not take money for water. This restaurant with cozy ambience old stylish look perfect place to eat. Worth every coin i gave 5 times. Anytime i pass near i will go there to taste other foods. Only this restaurant is enough reason to visit iran again and again.

As u understand i am a careful duck i rarely do mistakes so if i am telling it was great it means 99/100 of the population will agree with me. Go definitely.

I guess it is one of the best restaurant in Shiraz where delivers excellent foods, both form quality and quantity point of view. These staff are good and well behaved. The view over the city is magnificent. Prices are relatively high but it worth. The only two negative points are the bad smell in some parts if the area and low various manu.

A Beautiful Place where Prepares and Generally Serves Varius Traditional Persian Foods.

I spent most of my student life meals in this awesome restaurant. TahDig Khoresht and TahChin Jooje are the best choices in this restaurant but I can’t suggest the Kebab here. Dizi Soltani is also perfect which is served with lots of vegetables and persian pickles. Ordering any meal in this restaurant is offered with a free salad bar which is quite simple (only tomatos, cucumbers, carrots and other fresh vegs) but always fresh and tasty. Prices are reasonable for such big meals and students could simply share a dish together.

Avoid the ever present iranian kebabs at dinner here. They serve a great local dish (my apologies, I forgot its name) in an incredible local ambiance. A great place, almost upscale and very good food. Try the dessert!

onderful place with wonderful atmosphere and great staff . We sat outside and rain start pouring but staff was prepared and equipped,thus very quiekly put semi_ceiling against the rain . The food was delicious . Parking is available nearby , although there t is located on the hill of street , prepare your clauch ! The price suits the place , luxery and music availeble indoors . I enjooyed every bit of my staying.

I like it, specially its environment

Real luxury restaurant with professional staff and excellent food. Can't find a thing wrong with the place. Live music by a handful of artists each night. Outdoor seating also available with exquisite decor. Good place all in all, especially recommending their Iranian food - kebab...

Nice restaurant with modern decoration, there is live music nd a verified menu including traditional dishes which covers your sense of diversity. You can also have birthday gathering there.
Prices are a little higher than your expectations but there is a suitable place for dinners after business meetings.

Traditional setting of special restaurant at the edge of nice hill. Fast, clean and friendly services. Delicious Iranian BBQ abd other famous food.

Being there for several times, it's a good choice for having Iranian foods especially Dizi. Nice atmosphere with well- behave staffs, though they forget to bring your request sometimes! The mini salad bar and tea which was served in persian style cup were free. Totally, good experience and recommended.

Absolutely one of my favorite places in Farahzad area. Good quality food and service!! The atmosphere is wonderful with traditional Iranian seating, beautiful lighting and streams of water running through the seating area. If you want an appetizer their kashkebademjan is a must. I won't suggest the loghmeh kabab for those who don't like fatty kababs!

This an amazing traditional iranian restaurant with high quality foods. We have had Tahchin and Joje kebab and both of them have the perfect tast. There is a special yogurt with dried rose with lots of nostalgia for me. Though the foods' quality are great, this restaurant offers inexpensive foods with free salads and black tea.So, I highly recommend this place.

They have a low quality services! Once, there were a piece of broken glass in my meal :| It was not acceptable, they did not apologize even!
