I've booked literally hundreds of nights world-wide as a lifelong Platinum/Titanium member. On this stay, I booked a room for myself and 3 kids to celebrate Christmas, something I have done for over 20 years and as a Platinum/Titanium member have never had an issue with this. The room was large, had enough for a king bed, rollaway bed and couch. It was a suite. However, for the first time this hotel made me book a second room and I was very unhappy about that, especially since that cost me another 270,000 points. Every other reception I've check in have been very accommodating for my family and quickly checked me in and let me go about my business. We really wanted to stay together in one room and I felt they made much ado about nothing making the check-in process excruciating long after a full day of travel. Not a family friendly hotel and gave off an air of snootiness about this establishment, I will not be coming back. It would have been nice to offset their decision with spa vouchers, restaurant credit, etc. to take the sting out of it but they did not offer that.
Really liked the hotel interior. We had a junior suite, which was beautiful. If the room was smaller, maybe I would have felt differently. The service is near to non existent, it seems like the hotel is on a budget and they don’t even give bottled water. Sometimes the concierge is not present and the hotel seems understaffed. Also, the lobby could use some revamp/renovation, such a beautiful building that gets carried away by its lobby. We spent most of the time touring Venice so the setup was amazing, however if you’re looking to stay in a complete hotel and expect more from the service, them this is not a good option. Also, the way to go here is with the junior suite, which really makes it feel like a 5 star hotel. I think this hotel has so much potential under a different management.

Absolut kein 5-Sterne Hotel, total ekelhaft
First class all the way! Our stay at the Gritti was one of our favorite hotel stays ever. Immaculate suites, bathrooms, corridors, views, history and a front desk personnel that are engaging and helpful. I recommend having lunch on the terrace for some of the best views (and food) in Venice. Also, if you plan to spend your days walking Venice's charming streets and visiting its many museums and churches, start the day right with Gritti's magnificent breakfast buffet.
This hotel is a definite 5-star hotel!!! From the location, luxury, staff, etc. it ticks all boxes! Not only were the rooms a nice size and the locations perfect, what made this hotel even more was the staff! They were pleasant ALWAYS, helpful ALWAYS and their recommendations were spot on!! Mario and Lorenzo were the best giving us excellent dining recommendations (even just for a fast great pizza) and perfect directions to other destinations. They were always concerned if we needed anything and were more than eager to always help out. I travelled with my family of 7 ranging in ages and they always seemed to find the perfect things for us to do and see so that everyone was happy. Totally recommend this hotel!!! Cannot wait to come back.
We are not sure why this hotel is rated so high. We have been traveling all over Italy for the past 3 weeks. Every other place has been amazing! This is NOT luxurious. Breakfast was unappealing, courtesy depends on who is at the desk, room was very large with the most unusual decor. Construction and traffic noise extremely loud. The view, once you looked over the cranes and backhoe, were lovely. The bed and pillows were extremely hard. Very few amenities, or simple niceties and an overall feeling of not really being welcomed. Huge loud tour groups filled the breakfast area. I must say very clean rooms with kind cleaning staff. All in all for the cost, not a very pleasant stay at all.
My Gritti Palace stay in Venice was exceptional. The heritage suite, featuring a spacious living room, well-appointed bathroom, and a convenient powder room, provided a luxurious and comfortable retreat. The unique breakfast experience by the Grand Canal added a touch of magic to each morning. The impeccable service, attention to detail, and the blend of opulence and charm make Gritti Palace a top choice for those seeking a refined stay in Venice. Highly recommended for indulging in the epitome of Venetian luxury.

spent 3 nights here in Nov 2023. Amazing interior to hotel, comfortable rooms, great breakfast and friendly service. if had to chose what made hotel memorable would be the amazing interior, painted ceilings and walls, so grand. also good location. only negatives would be no kettle in room and WiFi hit and miss for some in our group.

Fantastic location on the lake wit good breakfast and service. Rooms could use updates. 1st floor room a bit noisy for what sounded like construction in basement.
cenato in 6 persone, primo indizio ristorante mezzo vuoto di sabato. patate rancide, peperoni cruschi vecchi e duri, maialino effetto rosbeef duro e galleggiante in acqua e farina.

bilancio assolutamente negativo,io cambierei lavoro fossi nello pseudo ristoratore. addio.
Location is perfect! Right in the center 2 mins walk from all shops and lake! Service and rooms are also perfect! It was our honeymoon and the hotel was very attentive and gave us a good room with a view over the lake! We weren’t lucky with the weather, it was raining and the lake water level was up. It was a good night spent. Breakfast is also good and a good variety is available.
My recent stay at hotel Danieli left me with mixed feelings. The food for dinner and breakfast, while quite expensive, was only average in quality. On the plus side, the restaurant staff were excellent, providing attentive and friendly service.

However, my stay was marred by a significant issue. The hotel lost our luggage, and not only did they fail to make any efforts to find it, but they also refused to show us the CCTV footage, leaving us feeling incredibly insecure and cheated. This lack of cooperation and transparency was unacceptable, especially for a hotel of this caliber.

In summary, despite the positive aspects of the restaurant and its staff, the hotel's handling of the lost luggage situation and their unwillingness to show the CCTV footage were major disappointments. The high food prices for average quality further added to the frustration, highlighting the need for improvements in various aspects of the hotel's service to truly live up to its 5-star rating.
We only had the chance to stay one night. As someone who has spent a lot of nights in hotels this place is amazing. The view of the Grand Canal is breathtaking, the service is top notch, but the bed was the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in.
All I can say is...WOW!

I'm a Marriott Platinum. At first I was told they had no upgrades available from my basic room, BUT somehow a Serenissima Suite became available and I was graciously provided with it, as long as I was willing to wait until 4:30pm for it. Obviously I was fine with that.

I was in 328/329. When I was taken up, my jaw dropped at how wonderful it was.

Everything was clean and in order. Service was fantastic.

Breakfast in the restaurant was fantastic.

Amazing location, very good service. Rooms were fine...Nice but not incredible given the prices you are paying. Lovely touches though like a small birthday cake for my daughter's 16th birthday. Nice bar playing live piano in evenings and good cocktails.
Let me share my experience with you – this hotel is truly exceptional. I frequently travel for work and accumulated an impressive number of hotel points. I decided to use them for a special trip to Venice with my now-fiancé. The Gritti Palace Hotel graciously honored my suite night awards and provided us with suite 331/332. Interestingly, this suite has a bit of history as Elton John once stayed here, a fact commemorated by a signed napkin outside the door.

Our entire stay was nothing short of amazing. They took care of everything, even handling our laundry, and surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne. I'm already planning to return as often as possible. If I could, I'd even consider living there! A big thank you to everyone who made this trip truly memorable.

It's important to note that this level of luxury doesn't come cheap. We opted for private airport transfers and indulged in various convenient services during our stay, which undoubtedly contributed to the spectacular experience.
Sat at the hotel bar and had a negroni. Great atmosphere. Be prepared though, almost all cocktails are priced at 24 EURO each. What I didn’t like about my negroni, is that they put multiple small ice cubes in which watered my cocktail instead of a larger cube (which is what you’d expect from such bars).

This hotel was great! We booked it last minute during our honeymoon and really had a great time here. The room was very clean and comfortable and the people at the desk were extremely nice. The rooftop bar/restaurant is amazing with great views - We never had trouble getting a table. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see in Florence
Beautiful hotel with exceptional service and 5-10 minutes max to everything in Florence. The decor was amazing like a work of art. We were on the second floor across the street from a market but with the windows closed it was remarkably quiet. The staff was very friendly. The rooftop bar was so beautiful at sunset and so fun, not pretentious. We would stay again!

San marco is a luxurious square. We took the train to venice and requested a boat from the hotel for pick up from the train station. We walked entirely throughout the 2 day stay. Wonderful location, safe and the concierge sent us beforehand things to do in venice with tour guides which i really appreciated and booked ofc as they made it easier. The breakfast is amazing. The rooms are small and the view was for neighboring buildings. The price was good. We loved loved the stay as the hotel was beautiful and we got it from the movie “the tourist”. We asked for a boat taxi to the airport got charged around 170 euors, the square was wonderful and everything around it was worth it. The restaurants around were expensive so you need to go to the less popular places. The hotel was safe too

Just a superb stay here for our honeymoon! From the moment we arrived we found the hotel staff to be beyond accommodating. The rooms themselves and location are also something that we can’t speak highly enough of. Will surely stay here in the future when we come back to Florence!
Lo consiglio! Hotel fantastico!
Pulito e comodo! Staff super disponibile!

It was a tremendous experience staying at Hotel Calimala West in Florence. The hotel's location is perfect, walking distance of Florence's top attractions. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and the beds are incredibly comfortable.

It is worth noting that the breakfast options at this hotel are top notch.

I was very impressed with the staff and service, which was very friendly, knowledgeable, and always available to assist with any questions or requests.

I truly recommend staying at the hotel calimala west since it offers great location, spacious rooms, flexible breakfast options, and excellent service to make it one of the best stays ever. I can't wait to return.

Guess Hotel Danieli is not anymore what it was. Stayed there in the 90's with my parents and it was an exquisite experience. Genuine luxury and high level staff. Some weeks ago was there again, not to sleep unfortunately but to have a drink in the famous terrace where I was many years ago. The staff is so theatrical and the male crew just so rude, you are even afraid to ask for something. Not a good end of day, I'm afraid…
We loved our stay at the Gritty Palace! Excellent service, great food and cocktails, the location can't be beat, the interior of the hotel and room were beautiful with attention to detail...and the history of the place makes it The Gritty! Thanks to the entire staff for a job well done.

Real luxury hotel, located in the very heart of the historic center of Florence. Rooms are brand new and designed with style, roof top is just fantastic from food to music and panoramic views of the city, staff is helpful and smiling. Overall we had a great time and can't wait to come back!
Food was cold and frosted inside. They have many dishes and all the wines sold out and the service was horrible.

Beautiful hotel in a prime Florence location. The rooms are spacious and decorated beautifully. Shower was big with perfect water pressure and beds were comfortable. The staff are very hospitable, you feel very taken care of the moment you walk in. Also the rooftop bar has the most beautiful views of Florence, highly recommend dining there to watch the sunset
While the entrance, lobby and common areas have retained their historical charm, once inside the chosen room, Junior Suite, it is very modern, spacious and clean.
Breakfast was included with a good selection of continental and hot foods.
Location is excellent with an ~10 minute walk to Como S. Giovanno Train Station and across the road from the waterfront.
For awareness and certainly outside of the Hotel's control, as at September '23, there are major works on the waterfront directly opposite the hotel, restricting the view from my room (66) and noisy during weekdays.
Excellent local food!

Super location, very close to everything we wanted to visit but well noise insulated so we could sleep well. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was lovely and the rooftop bar was amazing! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Florence!
We had the most amazing dinner at the roof top restaurant. Our waiter, Lucio was on a different level when it comes to hosting. Outstanding, bravo. The food was impeccable, thank you for this unforgettable night!
This hotel was amazing. Food at the restaurant was exceptional, service was exceptional, atmosphere was incredible. Made our experience in Venice feel complete. Can’t say a bad thing about this place other than it was expensive. If you have it in your budget you won’t be sorry you stayed. Hotel is located right on the main canal so when you’re sitting by the water having a glass of wine there is always something happening to see. Gondolas are right next door for a convenient and romantic way to tour the city. Would stay here again.
Good hotel on the lake..pretty old style..note they have no zone entry to the hotel if u have a car. Literally no place to drop your bags at the door so be reminded. You need tp go down to their undergroud parking.

This was our last hotel on the tail end of a 12-day trip. Great location on Grand Canal, easy access gondola service (shared and private), good deck restaurant overlooking canal and convenient to sights. Common area rooms are gorgeous. However, the carpeting is old and stained and leaves a negative first impression. We were in rooms 110 and 111, directly under the breakfast restaurant/kitchen. Through our ceilings, we heard walking, chairs being moved, dishes clanking, etc.,. If this sort of thing matters to you, just keep in mind. They did a nice job with fresh towels and linens and cleaning. For a five-star hotel, I would have enjoyed a complimentary drinking water and/or espresso/coffee in rooms, better Wi-fi and USB charging, or voltage converters. Allow me to emphasize the good attitude and service, but the rest isn't on par with other hotels in the same category in Siena, Florence or Rome.

Hotel Danieli is just a wonderful hotel that has served Venice for decades; this place is mostly famous for the famous people who have stayed here in the past. The location is perfect and the hotel is beyond beautiful with top-notch service. They also have on site one of the best restaurants in the city with absolutely amazing views.

Historical building at a great location. Our room was facing the canal, which was nice. Decor is not modern (as expected) yet felt luxurious in a Venice way. ;) A note for the staff- perhaps consider refreshing the carpet (there were several stains here and there). Also wifi from the room was not working during the entire stay (worked fine elsewhere in the hotel). Breakfast was a bit disappointing for a 5 star hotel. These small cons were made up by the accommodating staff and excellent service! Check out their rooftop terrace (great views!) and consider taking a water taxi if traveling from/to the train station during hot summer days.
Hotel Danieli is a luxurious hotel located by the Grand Canal in Venice, boasting an excellent location. Housed in a captivating ancient building, it exudes opulence and elegance in its interior decor. The rooms offer a comfortable stay with top-notch amenities. The hotel is renowned for its distinctive features and also serves as the filming location for the beloved movie "Dangerous Beauty," creating an immersive experience for guests. The staff deserves appreciation for their exceptional warmth and professionalism, providing outstanding service. The hospitality at Hotel Danieli left me with unforgettable memories.

Room was pretty small but it was charming (others might say outdated), clean and well lit. Bathroom had a standing shower and the water pressure was great. Location is amazing as well, it’s right by the water across from the ferry stop and my room had a view of the lake. I don’t have any complaints except that I didn’t realize room service comes early to tidy up and I didn’t leave my “do not disturb” sign. They were very nice about making sure to circle back and ask if I needed anything for the room. Overall, it was a great experience. I came as a solo traveler and I felt safe staying here alone.

My stay at Bauer Hotel was truly fantastic. The rooms were luxurious and beautifully appointed, offering a comfortable and elegant retreat after a day of filming in Venice. The breakfast spread was simply delicious, with a wide variety of options to satisfy every palate. The hotel’s location was perfect, situated in a prime spot that allowed easy access to the city’s main attractions and landmarks. I highly recommend Bauer Hotel for anyone seeking a five-star experience in the magical city of Venice

We have stayed many times and always had absolutely beautiful rooms. It is situated in the perfect location and the breakfast on the water is so delicious with a view to die for.
We have had beautiful experiences at this hotel.
Can’t wait to return.
What an enchanted hotel.
Lovely building and dining room. Friendly service and very good food. We had pasta, ravioli and risotto. We liked the ravioli so much that we ordered a second portion. The side dish of chicory was excellent, as was the cheesecake for dessert.

Great location. Rooms appear a little dated but very comfortable. Outstanding concierge staff...they always knew who we were and which room we were in. This hotel has a water taxi stop...so if you arrive by train or plane.. you can be picked up there and taken directly to hotel. No rolling of suitcases all over venice. There is also a gondola stand right outside hotel. They have a grwat breakfast where you can sit outside on the canal. We had a very nice stay and could not get over the great location.
Hotel is stunning, very clean and perfect located in the Old Town. It was a struggle to find our way inside the first time.... It is very safe, and at night you are part of a massive big crowd, walking up and down the Old Town. There are countless restaurants, bars and coffee shops near the hotel.

Bottom line: DO NOT VISIT UNTIL RENOVATED (and maybe still not thereafter)!

We have visited many 5-star hotels across the world, but unfortunately the Bauer Hotel in its current condition does not fit into this category anymore. It is well known that the Bauer Hotel is a “historical” hotel, and there is perhaps a charm to the concept of staying at a Hotel that was established in the late 19th century, but the current state of the Bauer is unacceptable for the 21st-century, discerning luxury-category traveler.

Our arrival already marked a darkly ominous start to what would be a nightmare 3 day stay. Upon said arrival, we had to wait a good 5 minutes until staff was ready to check us in (already unacceptable in any 5-star hotel). During check-in we were told that they had “upgraded” us to an executive suite. Upon hearing this we were of course delighted (who doesn’t like a free upgrade?). We went to lunch with smiles on our faces (the room was still being made) - unaware of the horror that was to come.

Upon arrival back in the hotel, the reception staff showed us our “executive suite”. Let me tell you, all the positive feelings I had of just arriving in Venice immediately left my body as I stepped inside of this “suite”. The room felt depressing. It was exceptionally dark, the bathroom was very small for a “executive suite”, the furniture seemed like it belonged into a repair shop for museum artifacts. The view was alright (partially overlooking the Grand candle), but there really was only one meaningful window in the entire room, so that wasn’t exactly adequate compensation. Moreover, the room was only semi-clean (hairs in the bathroom, stains in the carpet).

Upon encountering this horror of a room, we decided we would refuse the so called “room upgrade” and request the room we had originally booked (a junior suite). Thankfully, the staff (after a bit of a discussion) gracefully allowed us to stay in the room we had actually booked.

This room was certainly nicer (more windows, much larger bathroom, still a decent canal view). Unfortunately the furniture and interior design was still severely lacking. The toilet broke down during our stay, there was no key for the safe (you have to call down to the reception for this - why?), no complimentary water (only in the evening - again why?), no fruits, chocolate or any welcome letter to greet you, the TV was locked behind the cabinet (only in the evening after turn down do they open the cabinet and and allow you to use the TV apparently), poor quality of shampoo, body wash and conditioner, etc… To be fair, the water pressure of the shower was excellent and the beds were fine (hence 2/5 and not 1/5 for this review).

Regarding the service, it seems a good number of the staff has lost the motivation to be friendly and welcoming to guests. The management was nowhere to be seen (not surprising given the state of the hotel and service). The concierge has zero pull to get you good restaurant reservations and they already have trouble booking water taxis in advance (it seems the Bauer Hotel has lost all the “soft power” it perhaps had some decades ago). We had a drink at the bar and it took 15 minutes for a waiter to ask us for the order (the people on the table next to us had to go to the bar directly so that they could even place their order).

This is a long review so I will spare you any more of the headache-inducing details we had to witness during our stay here. During checkout we shared some of our issues with the reception staff and they told us the hotel will soon be closed for much-needed reservations.

We felt like idiots booking the Bauer and expecting a solid 5-star experience. Perhaps the new management will be able to pull off a miracle renovation and restore this establishment to former glory (I wish them well). Certainly there will also be a “renovation” of the staff and in particular, management personnel.

Until then stay at another of the other luxury establishments in Venice (hint: one of the recently renovated ones). Don’t make the same mistake we did!

Stayed here last May for 3 days with my mum and sis in a superior suite. Hotel location is great, we had the Boutiques in front of us. :) Breakfast location (outside) and Service was very nice. Price bit overpriced, but suppose thats what you have to consider for Venice. Reception Staff seem to be stressed, Service was not that extraordinary, just okay.
Had dinner here. Was very poor value. We ordered spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoni cruschi (spaghetti with garlic, olive oil and dried red pepper), Arrosto misto di Maiale e agnello (roasted mixed pork and lamb), and insalata di pomodori (tomato salad). The spaghetti was a small dish with olive oil, little bit of garlic and a pinch of crushed red peppers for €9. A ridiculous price for what was received. The mixed meat dish was a small sausage, very thin small pieces of pork, and tiny lamb chop for €15. Looked like a child’s portion. The tomato salad was a reasonable size for a side dish for €3.
Would not recommended this place!

Amazing staff who were extremely helpful and welcoming! Incredible location with the most gorgeous views particularly in the rooftop restaurant! The hotel was very clean and we just loved spending time here! Giorgio who worked in the restaurant was extremely welcoming and we really felt very welcome as well as receiving the highest level of service from him and all of his staff. He, in particular, really took the time to speak to his customers!
Our stay abundantly exceeded our expectations in all ways! We were generously and unexpectedly upgraded to a beautiful room which overlooked the garden.
We immensely enjoyed breakfast every morning in the garden. Parking very easy.
Such a comfortable home base for an wonderful family time in a charming city - memories for a lifetime. We leave with thankful hearts.

I wouldn’t say this hotel is a 5 star. It did not meet our expectations… the structure specially need renovation, it looks old. The couch of the bedroom was ripped (although comfortable). The shampoos and conditioners weren’t replenished. The breakfast was good, but for a 5 star hotel is unacceptable to have the food plates empty!!! However, the hotel is super well located and the service is very good!!! But overall, for a 5star hotel and the price paid, ir was not worth it.
Strategical position to visit the city by walking or using the public transport.
Room clean and tidy. Staff excellent. It is not suggested for those of you are looking for a traditional 4/5 star hotel.
A lovable hotel that felt like home. Enjoyable space for guests during breakfast dining and drinks on terrace. Rooms are small as expected but comfortable and well appointed; overall experience was classy and memorable.
Great location, friendly & responsive staff and sparkling clean 👌
Great location, looks like a derelict building from the outside but this made it even cooler in my opinion. Rooms were spotless and roomy! Location was super, with bars and restaurants on the doorstep.
Family run, updated and comfortable. Great food, we took longer to get there than planned and the restaurant stayed open to accommodate us. The whole meal and service was a joy. In an ancient part of town , yes that arch way is where you turn in and those narrow streets are the way up, and those are the Alps that you see at the end of the road. Will make it my destination when back in Italy.
I have been to Naples few times, and honestly this is one of the BEST B&B in that AMAZING city!!!!the location is near to everything and the customer services is absolutely WOW!!!Naples,THIS B&B and the Napoletans are UNIQUE!
For reference, I visited in June of 2018. Staff was excellent. The rooms were well furnished but tired and well worn. Which depending on your viewpoint can be charming or just old.

In the bathroom, I move the curtain to open the window and the curtain and rod all fell apart— literally. Furthermore, one of the light fixtures on the wall was broken. Notwithstanding these minor annoyances the location is fantastic!

Food - Breakfast is solid. Eating breakfast on the waterfront in the early morning is peaceful and is a real value to the hotel.

Dinner - The staff was great, but the food was...rough. It looked nice but tasted horrible. If you have a credit on your room, don’t waste your time, there are better places to spend your time and money.
Perhaps this Westin is a corporate real estate investment rather than an effort to provide true luxury accommodations.

The location is wonderfully convenient to beautiful landmarks and luxury shopping. The hotel itself is a bit of a beat-up and scuffed dowager.

A quick look and you may think you’re in a 4+ Star hotel, but look closer and you’ll find an incredible lack of upkeep or luxury appointments. Scarred walls, chipped stone, threadbare carpets, cheaply painted furniture, expose a lack of attention to detail and proper maintenance. It’s likely the hotel hasn’t had a thorough refresh in decades. There are some beautiful details here and there, but they aren’t strong enough to hold together the overall cobbled feel of the rooms and common areas.

And, yes the breakfast in the hotel was extremely over-priced—always to be expected at any luxury hotel. Complaining about that is pointless. The view from the dining area is spectacular, almost enough to justify the cost!

The staff, in general, were friendly and accommodating. Most interactions were pleasant and competent.

Yes, the beds are wonderful! The pillows need a bit more thought. On arrival a bottle of water is at the bedside table. But after that, none. Why? The television never got a clear picture—no matter, not interested in watching TV but checked to see how the system worked.

As a fan and a guest of international luxury hotels, I really have to say, the Westin Venice misses the mark in too many ways.

Next!
Definitely a 5 star hotel based on the rooms and the staff. The location and facilities are beautiful and well maintained EXCEPT FOR THE BLACK MOLD IN THE SHOWER!

However, I spent 20 minutes looking for my room and the hallways are well over 32 degrees Celsius. By the time I found my room I was extremely uncomfortable and hot. Better signage and comfort management would bump this up to 5 stars
Nice, neat & clean. All the staffs are very cordial
Best view in Venice! The check in reception escorted us to our beautiful room. I loved this hotel, the staff was helpful and friendly.

But when they opened the door to our room..... I was very impressed with the beauty of our room! Spacious, well decorated, comfortable, a tin of cookies waiting for us to try and a PATIO WITH A VIEW!! WoW! I highly recommend staying here, the location is central to the heartbeat of Venice.

And the gondola ride is a must!
Totally modern interior while retaining the 'ancient walls' exterior. Welcoming staff, (thank-you Mario!- english spoken) and excellent breakfast. Wonderful courtyard terrace.
Excellent hotel, beautifully situated in the old part of Saluzzo. Here we felt "at home away from home"! Very nice, cozy and comfortable rooms, friendly and professional staff, good breakfast, and a nice garden outside our room. Thank you for a nice stay, we will definitely come back!!
Great location, far better than expectation for Westin. Got upgraded to room with Grand canal view as spg platinum member. Room was spacious eventhough we didn't get a suite. Amazing view!! Loved that it had wood floor, not carpet. Every staff extremely welcoming& friendly. Promptly delivered dog bed& bowls for our 2 small dogs. Didn't feel hotel was outdated, very fast response& service to every request, included breakfast was standard and good. The only thing was there was no one to help us with luggage as we got off water taxi at their loading dock. It was my favorite stay in all of Italy trip!

Quiet, cozy, casual, old-new: new interior fixings in a very old building, parts of which may date back to 15th century. Lovely breakfast, which in good weather can be taken outside into the gorgeous, stunningly pleasant, garden - with a fountain and lots of birds. Nice balconies off some rooms. Great owners / front desk crew, very helpful. Parking nearby - free a little walk away, metered 2 doors away. We will return whenever we can.
Very nice hotel.
Service was very accommodating. They were able to switch us to a room with two beds rather than one king size without an issue. The location is great. It is within walking distance to many sites. The room was beautiful and kept neat and clean.
Beautiful hotel in a great location! It's very nice and quiet for as close as it is to San Marco. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Be sure to have breakfast on the canal at least once on your stay. The food is delicious and the view is unbeatable!
6 of is ate, all "foodies", one a restaurant owner in Madison, WI. We each loved our meals. Antipasto of pickled eggplant and onions, cured meats and cheeses, fabulously airy fried bread, and a good local wine recommended by our server. Our meals were: homemade small, "helix" pasta with white fish and zucchini blossoms (the special that evening), homemade flat, square cut "spongy" pasta with pesto, homemade ravioli with shaved pear and cheese, and the best, boar with fried polenta (absolutely amazing and the favorite of most at the table). We ended with a variety of lovely desserts. The two servers were very gracious though spoke nearly no English so come prepared. By far our best meal in Italy so far. Try it and enjoy!
