High end dining, it cost 2800 RM minimum to get a VIP room, services are incredible, food is good 💯
I love the desert, is very creative and super delicious.
Set menu will have three options, also you can go with vegetarian if you need.
The place is decorated very nicely, even the view is wonderful.
Good dining experience.

An absolute gem !
Went there for dinner with my family, everything about this restaurant was perfect. The ambiance is so beautiful, it gives that old rustic vibes, the lights and the music everything complemented each other. A perfect fine dining experience. Food was delicious. A bit pricey but worth it.
The service was great, loved every staff there esp Gezza who served us with great smile and so nice of them for helping us out with the menu. Overall the experience was great. If you are in KL , you must try this place 👍🏻 Definitely recommend!!

High price point justified with use of premium ingredients as well as the interior prestige setup of the restaurant.

As the restaurant is shortlisted in Michelin guide 2024, I had a higher expectation. Tried their signature Australian scallop dumpling, it's good...but not great. If the price point was not high, rating would have been higher. For RM170 per pax of a dim sum lunch..I expected more.

My favourite was the black truffle fried rice and fried carrot cake.

Service is good, we had a great view of the KLCC twin tower from where we sat.

It's a gorgeous restaurant on a high floor of KL Four Seasons Hotel. Walking into the restaurant will probably blow your mind a little with the facade and the interior decoration; worthy of a Michelin guide restaurant.

That said, for the price paid, I was expecting their dim sum to be of much higher quality. It's good, but not great. Great, to me, is paying the same price, but getting HK cantonese dim sum quality.

Whether it's the signature crystal dumpling with morel mushroom and black truffle, the cuttlefish and australian scallop red brown rice dumpling, or the signature flounder fish with chicken and prawn dumpling, they were all good but not great.

Experience was great though, where the service team was responsive, helpful with the recommendations, and attended to us despite a last minute reservation being done.

Very pricey but the ambience is really top notch the service is really upclass.
We had dim sum for lunch, highly recommend the beancurd skin prawn roll and the red rice roll with shrimps. May skip the bird nest egg tart.

A Chinese cuisine restaurant that is located at the far end corner of Straits quay mall Penang. There are outdoor and indoor sitting areas, whereby outdoor area can enjoy seaview.

The food quality is good and value for money. A table of 14 pax, with the order of 9 dishes, cost rm 460. The salted eggs prawns, grill chicken, mixed vegetables with curry are some of our favourite dishes. Besides, this restaurant also serving dim sum.

Service staff were polite and helpful in giving suggestions. Some of our guests are on vegetarian diet, and they recommended some tasty dishes.
Nice big restaurant with ample seatings. We did not have the dim sum on offer but went for their ala carte menu. We had the assam patin fish, roast duck, stir fried long beans, Mongolian lamb and assorted vegetables.

The assam patin was the star of our lunch. Nicely balanced assam sauce on the steamed patin was really good. The roast duck was average, a little too dry and chewy.

Both vegetables were quite standard. The Mongolian lamb was over coated meat tenderiser, you can literally taste the soda.
If you want authentic Dim Sum & Cantonese cuisine, SeaQueen Restaurant at Straits Quay Penang is our ‘go to’ place near home.
Very attentive & efficient service. Cantonese speaking staff. Open daily from 8.30am for Dim Sum.
Suggest Sui Mai, WooKok Yam dumpling, Beef & Black bean sauce, Deep Fried Pork Belly.

The interior decor was stylish, the waiters were attentive. However, food wise, it didn’t quite have the ‘Four seasons umph’ to it. Due to many dietary restrictions during our visit, my partner and I could only order the wagyu siu mai (tender meat texture but too salty for us) and the beef hor fun. The beef was good quality, but the overall dish was lacklustre for Four Seasons standard. The tea was on the verge of tasteless, I ordered the oolong tea, my partner’s was slightly better (dai lung Po).

The ladies was not as grand as I expect 😆, as for other Four Seasons in other countries, the wash basin plug was askewed.

Overall, a slightly disappointing experience.

Service: don't see foreigner waitress pouring tea for us but in another table. Could be improved.
Food: Laksa fish is very good. Iberico Ribs, meat a bit tough. A bit disappointment since people recommend me to try. Marmite chicken is good. Sar Hor Fun also tasty.

Amazing halal dimsum place (although they serve alcohol). Superb range of house curated teas. Quick tip, go for their signature dishes, you wont be disappointed. Expensive but big discounts available with 4 seasons membership. Learnt about their 2 Michelin stars after the meal, we were not suprised.
We joined a Chap Goh Meh reunion dinner, and although the food was alright, the noisy backdrop of a wedding banquet affected the overall atmosphere. Additionally, there's room for improvement in terms of food presentation considering the price paid.

Nestled in charming Straits Quay, this restaurant is the perfect place to host your special gathering. If you need a private space for 20 to 30 guests, the intimate VIP rooms offer an ideal setting for a personalized celebration. Equipped with a karaoke system and boasting superior acoustics, karaoke enthusiasts will find their voices sounding their best in this room.

The place offers attractive packages at budget-friendly prices, making it easy to plan your perfect event. The menu features familiar, comforting dishes that everyone will enjoy. While the cuisine may not offer the most refined flavours, it’s prepared with care – perfect for fuelling the night with fun and camaraderie.

Overall, if you’re looking for a lively spot to gather with the right company for a good night out, this place has everything you need.
Overall dim sum was okay. The skill of the dim sum chef not there yet. The fresh scallop siew mai the base skin all came off but was tasty. The radish cake not enough ingredients and was mushy. The Yam Woo Kok was good. The Golden Lava Custard Bun best eaten when it is pipping hot. The Fried Fish Ball with minced garlic, taste is almost 100% but failed on bounce/Q Q. We also had the Sang Mee but forgot to take a picture.

Their dim sum taste drops a lot. U can feel their siew Mai is also very dry till the siew mai is string and dry. No quality control. 1st time in my life I just eat 1 plate din sum and stop.

I hope their boss does something to improve their quality and sales
Had a gathering and we enjoyed the food and ambience. The portion was large enough for the 12 of us. Service was good even though with the CNY crowd. Usually parking is not a problem as it's under the building management but yesterday the packing machine had a problem and it was difficult for the elderly.

Lunch from the CNY ala carte menu was rich and satisfying - each plate was exquisitely presented and flavourful, many dishes were memorable. However, the let down was the service - it was an unreasonably long wait between dishes and the restaurant was only half full. Beverage choices were limited too. We highly recommend the following: deep-fried lemongrass & prawn dumplings with lobster broth, roasted London duck, baked black cod, lemongrass jelly with bird's nest. Will return.
Very much appreciated Kar Wen the restaurant manager did a good job and made good arrangements for my wedding ceremony dinner. Food was so nice ! I will visit the sea queen restaurant for dinner. The wedding ceremony did not have time to eat much.

Good location for watching the countdown fireworks! Food was ok but the dessert (choc mint ice cream with jelly - something new to me) was awesome! Had a good view of the fireworks where we sat.
Walked passed on a Thursday evening & was told that they are opened on 7.30am but it’s closed when we arrived at 9am on the next day & they are still closed at 11am when we leave malacca
First time trying this place (and probably about 25 years since I last stepped into Penang Plaza) - we decided to have dim sum lunch at this restaurant after a few days of western food in Penang.

Food was nice, and portions are big and decently priced too. The dim sum menu was adequate though would have been better if there was more variety.

It’s open air car park and there are limited lots available.

Overall it was a good place for our lunch.
Hands down the best Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten in. Quality menu, fantastic service, and great food!
Food: I like that they always serve something new on their menu.

Service was superb. Servers were very attentive, polite and professional. They even wrapped our Peking duck for us 👏

Although there's a small wedding reception, we still have our own privacy at one corner.

Downside, I wonder why they still need to charge the customers who are dining there for parking???
This dim sum place is located inside a hawker centre. I thought would be hard to find parking but turns out there's a big carpark behind. The entrance is right before (next to) the hawker centre.

Price is very reasonable & the prawns in the dim sum are big. I like the char siew pao, prawn fritters & brinjal the best. The chrysanthemum tea is very fragrant too (compared to elsewhere). The black sesame pao was ok. Chee cheong fun too salty. My dad also ordered char hor fun which was ok.

The morning I came was coincidentally the hawker centre's rest day. Only the dim sum was open so didn't get to try other food.

Spacious seats & cooling place to eat.
We have been relishing the wonderful dishes at Noble Season Restaurant, (top floor Penang Plaza) for many years.
Our favourites are Chicken with salted fish in a claypot & Sweet & Sour Pork. Dim Sum is also worth trying. 👍🏼
The memorable service by a wonderful & efficient lady called Kai Ling is one of the reasons we keep returning. She is a valuable asset to this restaurant.
Went there for dim sum on Sunday morning. The setting is very good, but the food is just average, and the waiting time is very long. It took 30 minutes to serve my order, and we waited another 30 minutes for my takeaway order before leaving. I would recommend thinking twice before patronising.

Good place for eating penang local and traditional food, such as Char Kwe Tiao, Fried Rice and Vermicelli. If you are coming earlier in the morning you can still get the various of dimsum. Good price also for Michelin restaurant. Located in the Campbell Street, George Town, Penang.
Very rude boss. He act like I was going to run away with his dimsum when I am seated to eat. Will be my last round dining here.
We booked for the night for a birthday. They had karaoke, food and some nice wine. It was great as the staff was always very attentive. The room can be booked if you spend over RM700. Only issue is the parking. Which is always very full.

One of the best dim sum places around. Quite delicious. Been to many before but this place really stands out. It’s fast service. Parking spots can be a little slow because it’s many people inside. But should be no worries, never had a time where they don’t have a parking spot.

My 1st impression was that the food will be mediocre based on the place. I was wrong indeed, the dim sum was tasty and fresh especially prawns dumplings and scallops porridge. I enjoyed every bite of all the dim sum and salted eggs yolk pau was fantastic. Maybe they need to change the method of ordering to scanning or menu type to save the hassle of queuing and bringing our own food. Just a suggestion to keep up with the technology. Prices are reasonable and the washrooms are clean. Will definitely come back again when visiting Penang.

Honestly, it is just okay - not sure why the hype, perhaps for nostalgia. It's decent dim sum but nothing much to shout about, it is also priced quite high - you won't know the prices of the individual dishes until the pushcart auntie checks it off on your sheet. There's much better dim sum around!

The food was good. Choices are limited. Go early as there were a few items that were already sold out.

It’s different from Hong Kong style Dim Sum. Here’s a small difference, the hot sauce is a bit sweet and there was no yellow mustard.

So as long as you don’t expect it to be the same, the food is good.
Very nice ambience, spacious, friendly to physically challenged. Food is chinese fine dining. Pricey. Quality acceptable, portion is small but I think main selling point is ambience.

Crowded but very systematic kopitiam style restaurant. We reached there slightly before 9am, waited for 10mins and we got in. You will be asked for your beverage choice and then u bring your list to the food counters. Pick your dimsum and the counter staff will circle the prices for you. The curry chicken mantou are at 15RM only! Alternatively there are also noodle/ porridge options. Tea are by pot and refillable. Food is nice and cheap. We had a total of 7 items , 2 beverage for 65RM.
Walkable distance from Tropicana 218 Macalister.
Has to be one of the best places in town for dim sum. We were lucky to go in early for breakfast and didn't have to wait very long. The queues starting forming soon enough and it got pretty crowded. But that is also the charm of the place. It is buzzing and loud, the service may feel borderline brusque and the restaurant is a bit chaotic and untidy.
But hey, you're there for the dim sum and they are top-notch. That's the magnet that draws the hungry droves in. We loved it. And the taste still lingers 😋.

Pretty good dim sum with the twist of having to go up through buffet lines to order the food instead of having food carts deliver the food. Also having a designated area for take away was super nice. The baked char siu buns were my favorite.

Read the recent reviews before heading down to this place, and the reviews are reliable. A very yummy place.

Ordered the following:
- Century egg porridge
- Siew mai
- Fried prawn puff
- Fried tofu skin with fish paste
- Big bun (大包)
- Fried sesame prawn
- Egg roll with prawn
- Vinegar pork knuckles
- A pot of chrysanthemum tea

Total damage + gst: 71rm

Y'all should go for the egg tarts (especially this), fried tofu skin with fish paste, and egg roll with prawns. Went there for breakfast at 7am and everything was piping hot! Yummy!

Oh y'all need to ownself go to the back to get the food.. they split into steamed and fried areas. Just pass them your Order Chit and tell them what you want.

Will definitely revisit this place the next time I am in Penang.

Came at 7am. I got a seat immediately. It was different service than I used to get where you have to actually go and line up and get your food. The waiters around were very helpful and taught me how to go about it. Everyone there was very hard working and very polite. The Har Gow is one of the best I have tasted. Fung Jaw was tasty, tender and big potion. The sauce bar is very new concept and hope no one abuses it. Will be back for sure.

Disappointed with their mooncake. They had failed the quality control on their moon cake. Both the egg yolks of the Lotus Paste Mooncake and ShangHai Mooncake were not at the centre of the mooncake, which mean half of the mooncake has zero egg yolk and the other half has the whole egg yolk. The white lotus paste was slightly too sweet for us but good thing is it was oily and smooth in texture.

Food was OK, but we were expecting something special given the hype and the popularity. Ordering was by choosing the dim sum (didn't see any menu) at the stall and was quite stressful because there were people behind waiting for you to finish ordering. I quickly pointed to a few dim sums which looked good and one of them happened to be an expensive item. Ouch!
Every dish we had was very good! Some unique dishes like the fish maw chicken on a lotus leaf, the assam prawn with bread, and the classic Beijing Roast Duck. Worth a trip to George Town for sure!

Once a year they are the only dim sum restaurant with tang long decorations during mid autumn🥮festival. So proud that this still continues as a lot of new dim sum restaurant openings and this full of historical dim sum restaurant is still here and crowded every day. Dim sum today is not bad with a lot of new choices. The price has gone up and 5 pax about RM220. Service as usual like the old style dim sum restaurant with the din sum car. There will be a wait as usual but if you want to avoid that, suggest you come around 8am or earlier.
Great service. Friendly staff and owner. Food is average. Nice place to come for supper.

Me and my friend ordered a variety of dim sums. Except for those fried stuff, steamed items are pipping hot and tasty. I would suggest, if you guys wanna try the dim sum out, perhaps try their steamed ones because for the fried ones, the food are left in either outside or in a food display. It is still freshly cook, just that in comparison to steamed ones, I prefer the steam ones though.

It's mostly self service. You take queue number, wait for number to be called, they bring u to the table, give u a slip of paper to bring along when u self collect your dim sum. Payment is also done at counter where you have to go to cashier.

We reached at around 10am on weekdays and its already super crowded. The wait can be around 15mins.

Definitely recommend u guys to try them out.

This place served many dim sums with prawns❤️ Good choice for prawn lovers to come here for breakfast or lunch as they open from early morning to 2pm. They have a personal carpark, and there're some parking boxes beside the cemetery. Go there early, or else you'll have to line up for your seats.

My personal favourite from this dim sum restaurant is their red bean bun. You should get one if you're also a red bean bun lover as me😄
Close your eyes to the price, eat, enjoy life with a good meal. Then worry about payment. 😂

Jokes aside, I enjoyed my meal here. This is one of the few places that serve high quality, high end Chinese food. Unpretentious simple looking but generous and extremely tasty food.

I totally enjoyed the soup. It's thick, it's flavourful, it's also filling with very generous ingredients and most importantly it smells great. If there's a dish I fully recommend, it's probably the crabshell crab cake. The crab meat is packed into the crab shell and baked. They used to bake it with cheese but they are trying a new method now. The crab meat filling is delicious and hard to put into words.

Meanwhile the prawn ball is deep fried and combines perfectly with the accompanying thick, sweet and tangy sauce. Perfectly balanced flavour and enjoyable to eat. The peking duck meanwhile was average to me. Nothing spectacular that would make me drive a journey for.

I surprisingly enjoyed the pork belly with preserved cabbage. Lots of pork pieces and generally meaty so that you don't feel guilty with the fat and skin. Cooked and seasoned exceptionally with the salty cabbage. Yummy.

The dessert was also only average. But i like that it was sweetened just enough to be enjoyable and not excessively as some places do.

In the end, what's important is that all the dishes and food clicked well and there was much more hits than misses. Superb place to have a meal.

This is a popular dim sum place in the morning. We are not hungry hence ordered Yin Yeong 鸳鸯, fish ball dumpling soup and egg tart. The mixed noodle is good, 夠火喉。Egg Tart has dried and thick crust with space ship oval shape, taste is underwhelming.
Please improve hygiene problem, the person collect money and then use the same hand to take Pao for customer without wearing glove.
Besides, the cashier attitude is bad, she ignored customer order and treat customer like owe her money
Tasty Chinese noodley goodness now with high-powered air-conditioning!

Handmade fish balls and dumplings and grumpy staff squeezing between tables for the full Chinese experience.

Get a pot of Chinese tea and top it up endlessly on your own, and polish off all that good food with moon cake. They'll even cut it up for you.

Portion size is decent and pricing is most reasonable. Parking is tough since it's right smack in the middle of George Town.

Still one of the best dim sum place in penang. Come here day or night also will be full. Price is reasonable as well. The food ordered from the kitchen serves up pretty quickly too. Dim sum and fried ones are self service. Just bring your card on the table for them to note down what you've taken.
Very nice dim sum store, my father is a friend of the owner. All the dim sum was nice, the pao was just out of this world delicious. Refillable tea, the tea pot type. Outdoor seatings is offered if you want. Most of us want to sit outside because of the air let's be honest. Overall nice food and nice atmosphere.
I personally wasn't expecting this but I was quite impressed and enjoyed my dinner throughly. Ate in their vip room with a large group of people. Apparently their huge table can accommodate 18 diners comfortably. It's in Straits quay so parking was plentiful.

The food was generally delicious. The 3 standout dishes were the prawn on bread, tofu and pork ribs. I found the bread and prawn combination delightful. Simple but tasty delicious. The tofu meanwhile had a nice texture with great tasting gravy. The pork ribs could've been a tad bit more tender, I like ribs with meat that falls off the bones, but I can't fault the seasoning. Excellent choice to order here.

I found the veggie curry superbly cooked even though it has a crazy level of oil at its surface, you just need to dig into the lower level for the actual curry but the vegetables were cooked really well. And the pork slices, taugeh and soup were expectedly tasty. Not groundbreaking good but better than average.

The bitter gourd egg and tua pan were only so so. Below my expectation. Average but should be better. I was a little disappointed with the fish though. The meat was strangely hard, either freshness or oversteamed issue, while the taste of the sauce wasn't balanced enough for me.

Meanwhile the dessert was enjoyable. I found the Chinese pancake with red bean filling crunchy, hot from the oven and delicious. The fried cempedak was enjoyable if you eat it before it cools and the longan sea coconut pretty average.

All in all, a nice place for a group dinner. I would come again

This was an excellent place to have breakfast for little money. They have a wide variety of Dim sum to choose from and I had a great time selecting different ones to try.

My wife got a rice porridge soup that she really enjoyed. The staff was friendly and explained everything to us neophytes if Chinese cuisine.

So why the low rating?
Because I almost got food poisoning.

At their suggestion I got a noodle dish with chicken in it and when it came the chicken wasn't fully cooked. I explained to them that I couldn't eat anymore after discovering this but they still charged me for the food

Mistakes happen, I understand. But why should I pay for your mistake? Almost all the food was still in the plate because once I uncovered that piece of uncooked meat I lost my appetite completely.

If not for the partially cooked meat and poor handling of the situation, I would have easily given them 4s & 5s across the board.

This dim sum spot is 1 of the famous ones in PG. It's extremely crowded during the weekends. I usually visit on weekdays to skip the crowd & queue. They have quite a huge variation of dim sum with some unique choices of their own. Used 2 be 1 of my favourite but after eating it for quite some time, it doesn't taste that special anymore. But it's still good. Service is also very systematic.
Excellent place for dim sum. Has a busy old world charm. The picture will show some the dim sum we ate in a group of four. There were other fried items as well which we didn't bother to photograph as we were too busy gorging down all the gorgeous food. All winners - including the prices.

Yong Pin Restaurant is an absolute gem for dim sum lovers in Georgetown. The dim sum here is simply outstanding – flavorful, fresh, and made with care. I was blown away by the variety of dishes they offered, each one more delicious than the last.

The old school ambiance of the restaurant is lovely and nostalgic creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was attentive and prompt, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience.

So many options presented on their dimsum station, will make you confuse in picking.
Their pork siu mai is meaty, and so the other dumplings. The shrimp inside their har kaw is so crunchy and fresh.
Soft and tender chicken feet, and so the black bean pork ribs.
Overall, the dimsum was so great and satisfying.
Service was good, attentive staffs, even on peak hour. Sometimes you may need to queue and wait for available table.
Despite of high price average, still worth the experience.

Excellent quality food, fresh and creative. Kudos to the chef.

This is the best dim sum in Penang, made in a traditional way. The dim sum here has its own unique character and I have never seen in other places before. They are good.

The shop is newly renovated with a retro feel, it made you feel like you are traveling back in time.

Some of the dim sum like chestnust cake, osmanthus jelly, custard caramel and chicken egg cake are really good. They are so good that I forgot I brought my phone 😝
Still one of the best dining venues in Penang for Chinese cuisine with ample parking.

It is more expensive than most Chinese restaurants but offers a more upmarket atmosphere. Food is generally good but expect to pay RM150 per person.

We love the steamed garoupa and fried pork belly.👍🏼
Excellent service. Staff were friendly and service was fast. Food were very tasty and flavorful.
Highly recommend their Peking duck, crispy chicken with glutinous rice, lotus root and macadamia nuts, braised fish maw with fortune bag and fried Cabbage with pork belly. However, it's very pricy.
Peanut cost RM8.
Tidbits cost RM16.
Water per person = RM2
Wet towel per person = RM2
Steam white rice = RM5 per/bowl

They have upgraded to a fully air conditioned restaurant and it’s expected to wait during lunch time especially on the weekend. The wait time varies from time to time depending on how busy is their business. But the food they served is definitely worth the wait. All their stir fried noodles, rice, hor fun are full of 'wok hei' which is hard to find in Penang nowadays and their steamed white chicken are definitely one of my favorite. Other than that if you are lucky you might be able to see some egg cake left on the counter during lunch time. They do have a menu on what they are serving so be sure to ask for it if you need more choices.
Went there for dim sum but was so disappointed.
Bad service,
1. No one leads us to the table, we have to walk in ourselves.
2. Ordered apple juice but got cancelled without letting us know. Reordered the just as we thought we missed it, only informed us juice is not available when we follow up again.
3. Placed order at 9:07am, the print order chit captures the time 9:11am. First steam dish was served after 40 mins, and last dish was after 1 hour and 15 mins.
Price is reasonable, but most of their dishes are quite salty.

vibe : standard
price : medium price
taste : nice..delicious
unfortunately we are Indonesian and we can not find any rice here, but we can still order noodle or beehoon.
their service also very quick
The line does not lie. Customers are willing to wait in long lines to eat at this place because the dim sum here is really that good. The booths and tables are nostalgically old school, and the overall decoration especially the floor tiles could even be from the time the shophouse was built (don't quote me on that). That being said, the environment is clean, and the staffs welcoming.

Food quality is immaculate with special mention for the muar chee wrapped in pandan leaves and fried yam pastry which is the best compares to other shops. Come early to avoid the long queue.
Fried food overcooked too dry--- failed, fried fu chok like never fried properly is damp... Steam food is not delicious at all, food not variety... overall not recommended...Not food is recommended there. 3 adults pay around RM60+. Better choose another place if you look for supper.

A hidden gem that has been serving excellent traditional cuisine for decades, although it remained relatively unknown to tourists until it received recognition from Michelin. Their noodles are prepared in the traditional way, offering a simple yet authentic taste. One dish that stands out is the 鸿图面 (Egg Soup base with crispy noodles), which is truly unique and not found elsewhere. Additionally, their white sliced chicken surpasses those in Ipoh, making it a must-try. Other dishes like Ying Yong (Stir Fried Rice Noodle & Vermicelli with gravy), egg tarts are equally delightful. What sets this restaurant apart is its beautifully preserved prewar shophouse with a central courtyard, offering a captivating experience for architecture enthusiasts.
Zhong Hua has one of the most palatable and fresh dimsum. They are made fresh instantaneous, which is why you havecto wait for 5 to 20 mins, if you are planning to have dimsum. Noodles and chee cheong fun are quick serve and the juicy, melting char siew pork buns are quick to have first. Do plan to order a variety and just sit back and relax, while you are being served with your pot of tea. Not a plenty flavor of chinese tea to choose but you get the all usual ones, more than eniugh...

On weekends, this dim sum restaurant can be very packed; arrive early to avoid the line. When you enter, you will be given a table and a sheet of paper. Most items are self-service, so go to the counter and order your favorite dim sum! A wide range of options are available, either fried or steamed. As for the subsequent pot of tea, you have to refill yourself at the counter.
Service was good and food was ok for the price. Sou Mai and Har Kau have too much flour. Dan tart (egg tart) was the best item. Fishball with century egg was ok. Char Siu Pau was decent. Fung Chao (chicken feet) was done well. Fun Cheong was good. Yong Tau Foo items were ok.
Spacious with wide choice of hawker food, dim sum. Parking space at the back. Parking fee RM1.00. Dim Sum taste can be improved further.
Decent food. Tasted quite nt bad. Not the best I've eaten tho.
Personally, I would suggest others go to find other dim sum restaurants.
(More Details)👇

This restaurant serves differently from others dim sum restaurants as they serve most of the dim sum at your table without you ordering it. (As they said, they will not charge for the dim sum that is served IF you have not eaten it, and they will take back the dim sum that ald served but not eaten)

For me, it's about hygiene. Although the service is good, but hygiene is the most important factor for me as a consumer

Service 4/5
Food 2/5
Environment 1/5

Had the garoupa fish steamboat. Highly recommended but was informed by the regulars the portion is smaller than before. Soup has lemongrass and tomato. Yummy
Zhonghua Gourmet, which is one of the restaurants inside Cititel Hotel, Penang, at Penang Road (from the main entrance of Cititel Hotel, walk until the very end of Ground Floor, and you will find Zhonghua Gourmet there). Zhonghua Gourmet offers authentic and exquisite Chinese cuisines to its customers, you will find a lot of Dim Sum lovers there, especially during brunch hour (around 11am to 12pm), weekends.

Anyway, their Dim Sum were good no doubt (everything was served piping hot), but they were rather expensive too. Parking will be a bit troublesome as the parking rate is pretty expensive, try to find yourself a parking outside of the hotel. Service-wise, was pretty attentive and the ambiance was pretty good either, in short, my overall experience at Zhonghua Gourmet was rather good.
Among those items ordered, personal highlight was the siew mai. The rest are pretty average and to be fair to them, I also didn't order much.

While you're at this food centre, do check out the coffee and char kuey teow stall! Coffee is rich and you can taste the roast. As for the char kuey teow, can taste the wok hei aroma without it being overbearing.

(Rating does not factor in the coffee and char kuey teow)
It's a good place to get Dim Sum at affordable price in Melaka (each dish costs 4R)

It could be great if they have more Dim Sum options, but still a good place to go and eat as a Malaysian chinese.

The staff is really nice. Open till late.
One of the best Dim Sum , nice food ,it is less than rm40.00 for 2 people , should be Winston Coffee Garden 皇城 in Anson Road

Review For CNY eve dinner:
Bad:
1. Yee Sang is extremely small in portion, you cannot toss as usual since it is very little and only one bite per person will finish the entire plate.
2. Between Yee Sang and next meal serving is approximate 25mins. Extremely long waiting time.
3. Food serving presentation is basic for a long legacy restaurant.
4. Food Overall tasted Below average and served warm-cold.
* Fish is especially bland.
* Ribs is OK but slightly hard.
* Double boiled hasma is slightly on the sweet side.
* Couple of menu changed from original advertised without notice.
5. Charged for 8pax but food was delivered to table for 6pax. Informed the Manager and she said I paid for 6pax, and I had to show the receipt that I paid for 8pax. This is very irresponsible and clear evidence that something fishy is going on. Finally got an apology with refund, but resulted my family was unhappy towards such service and quality. A simple reunion dinner, simply ruined with inexperienced staff.

Good:
1. Part time waiter is fast and energetic.
2. Table well prepared earlier than expected for second session.

Was recommended due to good food, turned out a bad experienced which ruined my family reunion dinner after 2yrs+ apart.
i would not mind so much normaly, but this is a reunion dinner and the restaurant screwed up.
Loved this place! Huge variety of dim sums and pastries in the morning at relatively cheap prices. Many locals frequent this place. Curry siew mai is really scrumptious! Visited twice for breakfast and brunch — do arrive earlier for more variety of dim sums.
Overall not bad. Good variety. Can also order noodles. High ceiling not so hot.

We came for CNY reunion dinner. The food and service are very good we are satisfied and also fast serving. The food tasted great, it would be good if they could change the fish to soya sauce steaming as they cooked with Thai tomyam sauce that we think really wasted the fish as it was very fresh and good. Anyway we like the place and will come back again.

The service is excellent and friendly. Rice and dishes is good. Wedding banquet food is tasty with delicious Peking Duck, Roasted Piglet and Steamed Fish.
Dim sum at 50% off overall taste is average.
Taste wise - average if compare to 锦选Kam Xuan dimsim in PJ old town.
