Excellent African food.
This place is alcohol-free but you can buy your beer in the next-door place if would like to (I say so because I wanted a beer but it's not mandatory 😅). The dishes are huge so if you going make sure you are starving. Kindly staff.

The worst attitude I have received at a restaurant.
There was a Cockroach that was walking around and we kindly let her know(we weren’t even rude about it) because things happen. The lady answered by telling that she has been everywhere in the world and there are roaches everywhere. Lol what a joke!
There should not be roaches in a restaurant, we didn’t even ask to have our food comped we were just letting her know and we got that answer.
I Will never set my foot there ever again!
The portions were also really small.

This review aims to shed light with the hope of inspiring positive change among the owners. Despite being a supporter due to its status as a minority-owned establishment, I expect more than just that reason. The food quality varies, falling within the realm of average and nothing exceptional. Additionally, the extended waiting times are notable. A longstanding concern involves the scarce presence of hosts at the entrance. The furniture, tables, and bathroom necessitate an update, as their current condition is quite off-putting. While the staff members are remarkable, the issue of high turnover is evident. Consequently, the perpetual influx of new staff impacts service consistency due to frequent onboarding. I strongly believe that this business should prioritize enhancing its food offerings, customer hospitality, and overall ambiance. Given the absence of direct competitors, there appears to be a tendency to settle for the minimum effort. I believe they can do better and merely chooses to not listen to customer needs and wants.

The food still good but the price keep going up and the quantity is reducing . Dibi Sénégal is now full of bones

Delicious fresh food with huge portions. Highly recommend the chicken with the cous cous.

First time visiting this place, and it exceeded my expectations! Loved it! ❣️😋

I cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant. In short, I have eaten there 38 times in the last 90 days while I have been staying at an airbnb nearby. Go there, you will love it.
In more details, I like the ambience, decor, music etc.
The food is great -- even the simplest things -- a chicken and rice soup with carrots -- are really flavorful. I begin every meal with that. There is a lot of excellent fish, great steak tips, and several good pasta dishes. Their lunch buffet always features: fish, chicken, beef or pork, steamed vegetables, beans, beans and rice, rice and salad -- and it changes each day.
Most importantly, I love their staff -- their enthusiasm, their smiles, their service. I will have lunch their tomorrow and sadly it will be my last visit as I moving home to Australia. Buy yes, you should try it, you'll love it

I went this morning to dine-in at Flavors and had a nice time. I ordered the Beef Egusi Soup and got Fufu on the side with some Palm Wine. I really enjoyed it and I got my food really fast. Everything was tasty, the service was good (my first time trying Nigerian food at a restaurant), and the food temperature was perfect. Good music and good vibes. I will definitely be back for more Fufu!

This was my first time trying Sengalese cuisine, and I was blown away by the flavours. We tried the lamb stew that was tender and melt in your mouth. The portions were large too. Will visit again!

The customer service is horrible. No one speaks english. The soups are not cooked now. The okra soup I wanted are pre-made in a container in the fridge with other soup and they give it to you like that. I dont know how long those soups have been there. I was not buying that. This is very disgusting and they need to be closed down permanently. Last year I went there, it was not like that. I was disappointed cause I was on vacation in Orlando and drove 45 minutes there and back for them to try to sell me garbage.I do not recommend this business. Everything zero stars. Anyone who says different must be related or got paid to lie.

Giving this place 2 stars, I’ve ordered 3x from
This place and it’s been a hit or miss. The stew is good but the meat is hard, not very tender. My husband says it looks like their chicken was boiled quickly then poured soup over it. 1st time I got fufu it was very good and ordered late at night, Jollof rice I received had mostly burnt rice. 2nd and 3rd time- fufu it was old, I can tell it was old because the smell of Saran Wrap was hard for me to get over. Like it had been sitting out and seeped into it so all I could taste was plastic instead of potato. Probably will not order here again since I gave it 3 chances and so dissatisfied I had to write this review

Do yourself a favour and go here! The food is delicious, the service is the best I've come across, and the art and music 🎶 are amazing! Try their Césaria tea and the steak with rice and fries!

What a find! We were looking for a place near Marcus Garvey Park and this place came up as one of the best. The food is so good! It was our first time trying food from Senegal/West Africa and I’m really glad we did. Look at those plantains, they make them just like we do in Colombia, sweet and perfect. The atmosphere was very lively. I wish we had ordered the lamb, it looked mouth-watering.

The food is flavorful and fresh. The food is good and I will have them a 9.
I loved their banku with okra sauce. It was filled with flavor.
It’s a small business. It’s set up where you get your food and go but ,sitting there is uncomfortable because it’s small. It’s clean and the decorations are colorful and pretty.
The service is extremely terrible , bad service to the point where I do not wish to return. EVER! The females are very rude and unfriendly . They always have a nasty look on their faces.
First off, when you walk in you they don’t acknowledge you in a friendly or welcoming manner. They are passive aggressive. They will ignore you as if the place is packed when it’s not.
They take your order with such a serious face and demeanor. They will start speaking their native language making you feel as if they are talking about you. I’m so serious. The laughters are suspicious when you’re placing your order.
HAHAHA!
The men are alright but the feels are terrible.
They never seems to have anything available on the menu. The waiting time is long. They don’t answer the phone . My experience there has never been a friendly.
No, wait..I had a good experience there one time . The waitress was a well dressed man . He was nice. I’ve been there three times.
I will never support this business because I did not feel good there .The food is absolutely delicious and I will never take that from them.
This might be the best place in Worcester but good luck dealing with their nasty attitude and horrible service. Its not worth my my time or money.
Ghanaian business owners do better ! Be friendly and make your customers feel comfortable when they walk in to support your business !
SMILE!
Listen, without a customer there is NOOOOOOO BUSINESS, always remember that.

The food here is really good and the service was fast, it's a laid-back atmosphere where you take your time to enjoy the meal. They don't rush you like most places.

Terrible 😔 terrible experience here... First we were given old fish then after complaining were given another sub par fish. We were then overcharged on our bill.Just terrible service overall. DON'T GO!

It's a good place to go for a quick meal. Honestly I wouldn't recommend it as much but it's a good place to go if you're craving African food.

Hands down one of my favorite places in Harlem! Service is always on point , portions are great, and the food is amazing. A must visit for anyone in the mood for some African food.

Good food, but the ambiance needs improvement. Good for take outs.

HORRIBLE TIMING! We came to visit family and placed a simple order at 1:27pm and was told 1 hour for our food. It is now 3:05pm and we are still waiting for our food which we had to pay for when we arrived. No matter what, the respect for peoples time is more important than anything. We will never return

1 hour of wait for fufu and soup and the taste doesnt even backup the wait time. If you want food, order in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon

I went for the experience of trying FuFu. I was told trust me and I will give you the best. Did not realize it would be okra related and I only eat fried okra buuuuut I was NOT disappointed at all. I enjoyed the flavors and will have it again were I live.

Terrible .. don’t waste your money!!!
you order a lamb chop dish and come out with something else! I actually took one bite and walked out
Very disappointed, and don’t expect them to care if the customer is enjoying the food

I ordered tuo with ayoyo on Uber eats only to receive fufu with ayoyo soup .I was really hungry.I called them and they insisted on talking to the manager and they will call me back I never heard from them. I will never order food from there ever again 😡😡😡😡😡

Food was excellent, really left nothing to be desired it was very good. The prices are reasonable considering the very large portion sizes, each entree could have easily fed two people. The owner was very attentive and kind, noticed we were not very familiar with the food and stepped in to offer suggestions and show us what was what. Really made us feel welcome!

Ordered stew through uber eats, it came with 3 pieces of meat and a plate filled with oil (stew). They gave me the smallest pieces of meat they could find. I called and asked if this is what they're serving customers. They tried to explain that only comes with 3 pieces of meat. For $15 no rice, no veg, just 3 pieces of meat and oil??? I told them I want my money back but they insisted on having the manager call me back. I instead went to the store in the pouring rain (flood warnings) to get some sought of compensation. I walked in and they knew it was me. They gave me FuFu with light soup to avoid the confrontation (I should have gotten it to begin with) and I was satisfied with that. However, the lady packed the bag so nasty and practically threw the food in the bag. No apology no nothing. The food is not the best to begin with. I will never order from this establishment again.

Worst tchep I have ever had in my LIFE! It didn’t taste like anything, this was a pure waste of money. I’m a huge foodie, and eat tchep all the time but my family and I could not eat it. It was lacking all the taste that actually makes up the dish. Please don’t judge Senegalese rice based on this, this restaurant does not represent in any way how good our food actually is.

Food is amazing! Always well prepared, portions are enough to save for later. For anyone that wants to give African food a try, this is the place to start!

The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is peaceful yet bustling with customers. Our server was very nice too.

So I ordered 2 meals and 4 water to go and the bill came $68. I feel that I was over charged and does not know why there is a service charge of $10.40 when I ordered to go. On top of that, while waiting for the food, a bag rat ran inside the restaurant, wandered around then ran back out. I think the rat came from the bunch of garbage placed right in-front of the restaurant. The guy cleaning the windows and the table tops saw the rat, looked at my sister and me, and smiled. The guy was sweating and smelled terribly bad that the whole restaurant started smelling of him. This used to be one of my favorite restaurant for achieke and lamb db, but every now and then when I go there, something reminds me to stop eating at unhygienic restaurants. Over priced for nothing.

I rarely write reviews, but the amount of cigarette smell coming from the jollof rice was incredibly awful. I'm sorry but please please please fix! Maybe just a bad day for the establishment?! Idk...

The cashier/ customer service was good, friendly and polite. But the food is horrible, the worst fried plantains I have ever eaten. My kids could not chew it. The fish was nothing to write home about. The size of food for the cost is zero, how expensive is rice, that a side of $5.99 could barely feed a 9yr old. I was really mad when I got home and opened my plates. For the amount of money paid, it was disheartening. I called and was told when next I come, they will make up for it. But for me there is no next time. Very disappointed 😔, if I had ordered to eat there, will they present same thing? If I had to eat there, and the food I saw at home was served, I will demand a refund and walk away.

If you're looking to taste or enjoy 😉 traditional African (Nigerian) food here is your place. The Egusi Soup and Fufu with fish is mouth watering and finger licking with every bite.😋 If you are missing the Motherland...I guarantee this will take you back. Enjoy😉

The food is pretty amazing here and the service is top tier good. They have a wonderful menu selection and the service staff are very friendly too.

Food was nice. We had a long wait time. There's a sitting area but not in use, however you can ask to sit there and eat. You'll not be waited on if you decide to sit there and eat. Its more of order to go tather than a dine in experience. Probably in future it may be open for dine in. Prices are similar to their competitors. There room for parking. Service was okay. They are open on mondays whereas the others are closed on mondays.

Food was good but if you're not african make sure you know what is expected with your order I was "offered" something that was supposed to come with my meal. 🧐🧐🧐 food was delicious though. 🤤🤤🤤

I've been going here since 2004 and it's always a great experience. Every time I visit, I'm treated like family. My server was Kelly Santos. The staff and cuisine here are outstanding, and you won't be disappointed. If you want a family-friendly atmosphere with wonderful drinks and attentive staff, stop by this location. I will most definitely be returning very soon for more food and a fantastic performance from the band.

They used to take very long during covid years, but now they're improving with time. Their food is good, it's just smaller than it used to be

I really enjoyed my food at the restaurant. Their food are affordable, and they are very generous with their food portions.

The lady with the gold tooth charged me $11 for the smallest container of plain rice!!! How in the world can a small container of rice with no meat no nothing cost $11???? She was very rude and rushed me to order. The customer service at this place is horrible to say the least! This was my first experience having African food and it definitely will be my last especially from THIS place!

A pleasant little restaurant, clean and spacious, and family-friendly.
Wait staff accommodating, and even with limited English-speaking are able to present the menu and options; they weren't obtrusive.
The food was different, where the okra and lamb stew with plantain fufu was a mixture of tangy and sweet, and were large portions, filling.

We were visiting Orlando and thought about trying some Nigerian food. I ordered fufu and Egusi which came with some fish and my husband ordered the jollof rice with chicken. This restaurant is located in a strip mall. You don’t come here for the scenery you come for the food.
Egusi was flavorful and the fufu had a good texture. Hubby liked his jollof and chicken as well.
So, if you are visiting Orlando and in the mood for something exotic head to flavors Nigerian.

Food is/was just delicious! 😋
I was at this very restaurant 6 years ago and its so heartening to see the standards have not dropped at all!
Not only is the food excellent value, the portions are ample such that I almost always end up asking for a takeaway bag 😆🤩👍🏾

If you value your time don’t go here! One thing about Accra girls is your food won’t be ready on time. You will have to wait 30 minutes extra to get a simple order. No matter how good the food is, this is unacceptable that they don’t respect time. DO BETTER!!!

I live in the neighborhood and walk past often. A few years ago my partner and I walked in to check it out and while looking for a menu, a woman behind the counter told us that we would not like anything there. We felt taken aback by this and walked out. I decided to write a review now because my sister went there recently and had a very weird vibe in the place too. She said the workers did not seem pleasant, not one thank you or smile was given for her as a paying customer. She was charged 40 plus dollars for a single meal and a drink which she felt was too much. I don’t know if this place is racist against other cultures that are not west African but the treatment we received on separate occasions was very strange.

THE FOOD!! I haven’t had authentic Ghanaian food in a long time, and this was just amazing! A friend recommended the restaurant to us and I was beyond impressed.
I love the food presentation, you get to see everything on display and get exactly what you order on the spot. The sitting area on the back was also quiet and relaxing. I had a great time! I’ll definitely be back anytime I’m in the area

It's good but if don't like spyci don't go

Service was good, staff was nice and food was good. They didn’t have beef however they had every other meats. I ordered EGUSI and spinach

The third time ordering here and I must say, the first time I was disappointed in the taste of the jollof rice with fish, which wasn’t good at all. Second and third times I got okra soup with plantain fufu OMG amazing, and it was hot, fresh and so delicious. The guy I spoke to yesterday Darwin the owner’s brother, he was so welcoming and took the timeout to talk to me about food and catering, his attitude would make me continue to support this restaurant. The female server yesterday yelled at a male customer that didn’t hear or understand what she said to him and asked her to repeat. That made me upset because the man was so polite and well dressed, his face changed, he was shocked and held his composure.

I tried okra soup with beef and fufu. It was very good! I am stuffed full from half of my meal, very good portions. The rice side is ⭐️! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The service here was great also and overall a great atmosphere.

This place is a hole in the wall, with great food and good vibes. If you’re wanting to try fufu in the Orlando area, I highly recommend this place. I had it with the beef egussi soup, and as a first timer loved it!

I literally just got this from them. Tchep fish, this looks like someone already ate some of it. As you can see there is absolutely no actual fish. The piece you see is not even half of half of a fish. Very disappointed this is not even about food but about respect. Thanks Africa Kine.

Such amazing people and great food. My friend and I were invited inside, and since it was our first time, the owner gave recommendations and explained how ordering works. The cook behind the counter set us up with a perfect assortment of foods and drinks to try. Their Egusi was so good, and the plantain fufu too! I loved the fried fish and the Waakye, and I’ll definitely be back to try everything I missed the first time. Definitely get their ginger beer, it was some of the most fresh I’ve ever had — their hibiscus drink is great too. Try this place out!!

First time trying this restaurant and it was FANTASTIC. I was so sad when my food was done lol. I love it. Very helpful in explaining to me what eat dish was, definitely will be back.

We came on Saturday at 3:30, there were only certain items from the menu available but the Thiebou Yapp (lamb stew) and Thiebou Guinar were great. Lots of food. I really liked how there was a bit of crispy rice on all the dishes and olive / onion sauce. Good price, small place but we were able to get seated tho it was crowded.

The prices are too high. The shrimps are too small. The servings too small for the prices and the server pay more attention to his phone. Then the customer very colorful setting they should move their business out of the mall

I always love their mixed meat w. Egusi and Fufu. 😋

Had an absolute ball there on Valentine's Night with Wonderful people. Had not been there for a minute--so luv the bartender who took such wonderful care of me after my tasting of three red wines--as I was in the mood for the sweetest one--she so looks like my Beloved Josephine Baker--so you know she's beautiful inside and out! Other pics of the fun night coming soon!

First time trying Ivorian food, delicious. The grilled fish and attieke was outstanding. Be sure to mix the peppers on the attieke well because a single bite of them left my mouth burning for 10 minutes! Be sure to grab a bissap juice as well

Amazing, the cuisine was delicious, and I was so pleased to be African that I would not think twice about returning. I got lamb with fried plantains, which was delicious. Once more, thank you, NY. Thank you, my ivoirians.

The waakye was amazing and so was the customer service. We ordered and received our food in under 10 min. We also appreciated the to-go plates and bag. We will definitely be back!

$20 for food every single piece of beef was burned an over cooked.
Second jollof rice was with zero flavor along with it tasting like the bottom of a burnt pot
Wakeye was covered in sauce I expected in a container being I wanted to split a large order with my children
My 3 year old literally spit the food out said how nasty this food was.
I have never not eating or had to throw out a complete order of food. The entire order was 100% disgusting and burned completely the meat was not even able to eat at all at all.
To serve someone burnt food is wrong on the business end.

Recently had holiday staff lunch catered by Accra with a full spread! Delicious! My personal favorite…fufu. Also love the staff and the friendly amazing service! Would definitely order again!

The food was very tasty. There were so many choices that I had a hard time making up my mind on what I wanted. I came around lunch time so it was very busy. I stood in line for about 30-35 min. There were 3 ladies serving customers. Whoever is taking your order is the one you have to pay. I noticed everyone was paying cash. I had cash as well, so I'm not sure if they accept card. The toilet was very clean.

The jollof rice and spinach is flavorful and the fufu pillow soft. Chicken was dry though. I forgot to ask for hot sauce with my order, but found myself wishing for some. This is more of a takeout place. Staff is friendly. I’ll def be back.

The food was incredibly good. This spot was recommended by a Senegalese friend. We asked the cashier (who doubles as the waitress too) what dishes she would recommend and she didn't miss. The ginger juice is definitely worth having.
It got very noisy as more patrons came in and I wish they can try to watch this part because it can be slightly annoying when you can't hear the person you are dining with.

First time trying fufu and egusi soup. I also ordered the fish and jollof rice. The food was a 5/10. The rice had a scorched taste (still good). Fish was dried out. Chicken was good. Egusi soup was fair. Small portions. I'm still looking for a African restaurant.

Food was horrible! They gave me burnt fish and the onion was old it had a bad smell! Threw it all in the garbage! THEY ARE DIRTY

Original African Food. Select your desire what offer in the counter of Hot Food Bar. Variety of Rices, Meats, Sauces, Sides. Ask by Phone. On you delivery App. Gently perssonel, personal attendance by ladies Who server

It was for lunch after my daughter’s college graduation. The service was slow to me. We sat there for a good while before someone came to our table. I don’t think they gave us a menu. However, we ordered the food and drinks. Pineapple ginger beer was the best drink I had. Food was also very good. It was a lot of food. I wish the server explained more about the dishes. They were more attentive for other people. Maybe they were regular customers? Even though I was not impressed by their service, the food was worth it.

I heard good things about the food but I wasn’t wowed. Also did not know about the dinner entry which served grilled dishes starting at 6:30 pm only . Might not be going back . There’s also no option to dine in so I and my friends went to St Nicholas park to eat .

Didn't know about this place. Lord was I happy. My brother n I enjoyed each meal. Workers are super friendly. Food was alot. I wish I knew the lady's name. It's sad to read all these bad reviews. I know every Ghanaian restaurant in the bronx. But so far this place is my # 2. Crossing the bridge to Bx just for food was worth my money. Thank you cook, thank you sever and thank you uncle at the register.

We enjoyed the Thiep, Athieke and some very nice tilapia with Aloko (friend plantains). Good spot in Harlem to enjoy the authentic West African vibe. Excellent job by my Senegalese fam!

This is THE place to go for Cape Verdean food in Boston. Whether you're familiar with CV culture or just interested in trying something new, you have to try it for yourself. Lots of fresh saucy seafood dishes. The cuisine from this archipelago, like the people, is a beautiful mix of West African, and Portuguese. Our table had the fried tuna dish (Atun Dourado), Shrimp Mozambique and the steak. A bit under salted for my taste, but once that was rectified, I enjoyed the food greatly. The fried yuca appetizer tasted previously frozen and was under cooked

This was so good! Not great if you are trying to watch the salt content but if you want some delicious Senegalese food, this place did the trick! Please keep in mind that I know absolutely nothing about Senegalese food standards, but my friend who is a first generation West African descendant and more familiar with the cuisine said she thought the food was great. At the very least, it was yummy to this uncultured American girl! 😁 The atmosphere was a bit dark for my liking but the place was clean and the portion sizes were wonderful. Great value, just not for less adventurous eaters.

Horrible service we had a large party of 14 took hr and a half to get our drinks. Took another hr before some of our party's food started coming out they made us all order together u would think the food would come out that way. They forgot 2 peoples plates altogether and when those 2 plates did come out 2 and a half hours later it was cold .Sad birthday girl whom we was celebrating of course was the last plate to come out she ending up taking to go. Would not recommend

Great food. Very unique. Nice ambiance. However, they added a 15% service charge without notice and we were only 2 people. Something to be aware of.

I paid $23.87 for a grilled fish dinner with akche.
The fish was over cooked and dried. I tried several times to contact the restaurant but can never speak to a manager or owner. The lady who served me was a very nice & polite person.

The food is amazing 👏🏾😋, but the customer service (-1 ), they need to realize that having 4 people working from a window is not effective 😑.

The worst experience! $100 for sour white rice, stale re-fried plantains and oily fish! So disappointed 😞 The place can also use some major updating!

This is the restaurant for African food. Majorly west African food. Accra and Nigerian food. Rice, eba, fufu etc.
Due to COVID-19 there is no eat in, only buy and take away. The staff are very supportive and patient.
Ask of Dahiana, she is a super nice person.

Ok so i had a trip out the Jersey today for work and my hubby and i decided to drive to NY City to get atcheke. Actually in all fairness this was not the actual place i bought superb atcheke about 2 years ago. But since we mapped it and it took us here, i said why not.
Horrible taste for $19 an order. Got 7 orders. The atcheke was super dry and there was no sauce. Instead we were given pepper mixed with mayonaise. Avoid this place. The fish was inbetween dru and a.little.moist. Its one thing if the ambiance is poor but the food is excellent. Anorher horrible thing when both the ambiance and food are horrible which was the case.
Further, how cN you possibly go wrong with aloco, i mean this is an Ivorian side. Even a 5 year old can make aloco. It was down right TASTELESS.
I gave this place a 2 star because the lady was polite. One more thing, men kept coming in to use the rest room and were maskless. Who does that in todays world. The store did not even stop them from coming in considering the huge pandemic in NY.
Never again. There is a way better place, just cant remember the name...

GHANA 🇬🇭
Excerpt from Eat the World NYC:
Especially on those days when the sun shines bright, it always takes a moment for your eyes to adjust to the dim environs of Accra Restaurant after coming in from Davidson Avenue.
In the past ten years at the original spot, not much has changed besides successive coats of blue paint to cover graffiti and a brand new logo on the awning. This image is reflective of the food, a Ghanaian flag and its black star superimposed on the continent of Africa. On any day you are likely to find options to eat from many West African countries and other languages not used in Ghana being spoken by customers.
A recent visit with friends was a chance to sample a few different things and see where the restaurant had evolved since opening other locations. Thankfully the quality of everything has not changed and they were still not catering to crowds without experience eating these foods.

Friendly Senegalese restaurant in Harlem with tasty, traditional food and generous portions, though the amount of fish with the tieboudienne is a bit small relative to the amount of rice.
The atmosphere is typical of what you would experience in Senegal, including the TV channels. Customers chat with each other, sometimes across tables, while waiting for their meals.
Don’t be surprised that not every dish on the menu is available every day. Look at the daily specials section to see what they have that day. (Every Senegalese restaurant I’ve been to does this, but this is the only one I saw with the daily specials list.)
I brought a friend who had never had Senegalese food before and she liked both dishes.

Excellent food and it's very cheap too. Me and my friends hadn't tried Ghanaian food before but the ladies who served us let us sample everything before we ordered. The service is way above and beyond what you expect from a place like this, and the food was delicious. Whenever I visit Harlem again I'll make sure to come by this place!

Came here for lunch a few weeks ago and it was a little disappointing. The line had about 10 people ahead of me and still had about a hour wait. How ridiculous. The owner was working the register but he seemed more like the help as he has SOOO many questions for the staff about pricing. I ordered okra soup w pounded yam. The soup was VERY oily and it red... Red? some of you are thinking the same thing as me. Unless they discovered a "new" vegetable how is the soup red??? It must of been Banga soup or heavily doused in palm oil as I only had 1 piece of okra in the entire bowl. The jelloff rice was fine it tasted like it was made in a pressure cooker instead of over the counter which takes longer and more effort but the flavor and quality is worth it. Moving on I would recommend you grab and go if you stop by for lunch. Although there is seating it isn't advised.

Pretty good Ghanaian food. Heavy and lots of it, but the flavor is good. Restaurant itself is no frills with counter service - honestly would recommend going if your are in the mood for a little comfort food.

I work down the block from this restaurant. One of my coworkers recommended this restaurant to me. I ordered the fried fish with the jollof rice, peppers and sweet plantains. This is the best fish I have ever eaten, and I'm not big on eating fish. I will definitely be back again to try the pepper soup that was recommended for me to try as well.

I was initially skeptical about dining here, but all my fears were out the window the moment I perceived the aroma of their food. First time eating Senegalese food and I must say the taste of all the different dishes ordered was delicious. Portion sizes are large and super affordable .Will definitely be returning whenever I am in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed this place. Fairly small family owned restaurant and the waiter was very friendly and explained all the dishes. Brought out kids food first to get them going and had fun shapes for the rice. Food had a nice spice and very flavorful. I loved all of the dishes I tried.
Piece of constructive criticism: I felt the waiter could have been a little more prompt when bringing out extra things like when I asked for more water or silverware.

I was on a friendly date. I felt safe on till one huge dud came inside and asked me for $1. I said I don't have any more money. He sat down about two tables from me and started looking at me. He kept on for about 20 minutes lml😄😂. I was kind of scared.
On the other hand, I enjoyed the Ghanaian food😋. My friend said it's called waakye.

The establishment is always loud and this doesn’t affect the food quality only the ambience . The prices are fair and the subway is a few blocks away .
Quick eatery , they could improve on the cleanliness of the restrooms .

I Absoulety love this restaurant! The food is delicious, there's something for everyone and the food is always fresh . Also the restaurant has takeout and is open pretty late! If you love good food here is the place to go.

La Savane has a new team that is fantastic. They are friendly, courteous, and professional. The overall atmosphere is convivial and enjoyable. The place is clean all the way to the restroom. Anyone can access the place. The food is excellent and well served. Great job! Please keep up the good work.

I ordered the dibi lamb on my last visit and it was flavorful, but a little tough. The fries did not taste fresh (probably because they were cooked in an old oil). Also, make sure to call before coming here because the restaurant is not open 24h.
REVIEW FROM 5 YEARS AGO: I love the grilled fish with fried yams. I wish there was more consistency in the size of the alloco slice though. I also love the salad, mainly because of the dressing. I would not recommend the dibi nor the leg of lamb as they are overcooked. The staff is friendly, but the service is lacking. Patrons can be too loud and the restaurant can benefit from a renovation.

Delicious food. A taste of home. The Caribbean, Puerto Rican and Dominican palate will find a home here.
